I would be a little hesitant to do that from my home network S:
huh is /g/ in reference to technology board on 4chan
@somber heath i did some looking and found to run things multiple time at once you can use Threading

@lavish rover @terse needle 😄 I made a new machine learning project btw
look at it here https://davinderjolly.ml/
bruh
take in list2 just 'a'
you're an ass
@terse needle what was it?
🤷♂️ i changed domain to .ml so thought you'd fall
if you'd said something about a new JS framework I would have probably clicked it
machine learning was a stretch
but .ml though
so it was a fake link?
I know .ml is a free domain i have like 3 of them
just wanted a confirmation from someone
xD
so like the domain ending which no one give a fuck about is free
?
ye i got the free domain from a shady website >-> but who cares its for a rickroll anyway
lol
i still feel like it'd be easier for him to just use zerotier or tungle or hamachi or something
👀 i mean freenom is pretty popular but still shady
lol
1 year
oh wow
this is my 3rd free domain i'm using for a rickroll
is there some legit domain provider which gives 1 year free?
i mean freenom is legit... they just make money in other ways like not letting you renew domain if it gets too popular and running ads on it
I implemented a raytracing acceleration structure in Crystal, it's like a third the code of my C++ implementation and just as fast lol
it's so clean
oh that kind of shady you mean, oh ok, so if i pay for it, then they wont show adds?
I love it
also why not letting us renew if it gets popular?
link pls
cuz they can run ads on it to people who then visit it and make money xD
so isn't renewing better
i mean people will keep using it
and they will get more and more money
🙂
i'm just saying what i see on the internet tho idk as i've never had any issues or used it for anything other than trolls
for actual websites i just buy domain from namecheap
oh
I am surprised you used that domain name for rickroll!
i got one question, is domain plan needed? is there any probelm if we go for the cheepest plan in the domain
because the codes are getting hosted on our pc right and also its backend like database is also on our pc (just a hypothetical condition)
why not 😄 ml sounds so legit
until you go there
@woeful salmon what was that react map thing you found called again?
also i love you too ❤️
react simple maps and pigeon maps
thanks
Pigeon maps?
ReactJS maps without external dependencies
you'd be surprised
@sturdy panther also boni 🙂 if you wanna look at what you missed out on in the rest of the workshop i put the code in a zip file here

Oh. Thanks!
also we're doing one on monday now which where we'd do more advanced stuff, cover oop and make some small but nice projects
So much commented-out Javascripts!
Very unlikely I will make it. I was able to listen in yesterday because of home working.
yeah because i wanted to showcase 1 thing at a time without making a million files :x
D: i will make sure to document next time's code better and send it you to anyway tho so don't worry about it
for now i need to go though 🙂 i shall see you all later

@somber heath @wind raptor what does it mean by the size of the series can't be changed once it's created?
I know that I can change a value of an index and therefor that would change the bit size of the file, but is it saying that if i add another key:value pair it creates a new series and the original series is still unchanged?

I have limited knowledge of Pygame.
ok
yep
i'm learning c++ in parallel as python is quite slow
I don't think it will be faster than c++ anyway
Well-written Python can be faster than poorly-written C++.
If the code in both languages is written normally, c++ is faster
Yes.
i will try to write fibonacci in both languages and compare the speed
Have you encountered Numba and Numpy, yet?
They're best studied later.
But they can be used to make Python as fast as C.
Almost.
Because it kind of is C at that point.
!d functools.cache
@functools.cache(user_function)```
Simple lightweight unbounded function cache. Sometimes called [“memoize”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memoization).
Returns the same as `lru_cache(maxsize=None)`, creating a thin wrapper around a dictionary lookup for the function arguments. Because it never needs to evict old values, this is smaller and faster than [`lru_cache()`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/functools.html#functools.lru_cache "functools.lru_cache") with a size limit.
For example...

@somber heath I just joined the server. ig I don't qualify for voice verf rn
:/
@somber heath I understand.
@somber heath I'm facing issue with the installation of a git repo.
I've been at it for hours now
Thats python code tho. So, was trying to get some help with regards to that
I tried it in python env.
Hey could have a look at this repo.
I did.
I've tried literally everything. But ig am missing somewhere
The repo is not actually based on blender, but some part does.
yeah
I could explain it in a much better sense if I were sharing screen and explaining simultaneously xD
I understand xD
You're right at your place.
If you could try installing and running it, I'm sure it wouldn't take much time for you. you could perhaps get my issue better
Alright
Yeah I get it
The thing is I was trying to build an AR Sandbox (not sure if you've heard of it). To start with the software I was looking through some repos online, and whilst the installation of the same am facing issues.
I was working for it unity as well, but some repos suggested use of Python, and me using python for like past 7 years preferred it over others.
Cool then, I'll probably wait until I'm verified for voice. If you find something that might be of my help, lemme know. Thanks a lot guys!
:)
Hello friends, I have been working on a cryptographic program for the last year. After many iterations I have concluded to a final program ,but there is a problem. The program is very slow (It would take my laptop 3 months running 24-7 to finish) but there is little to no optimization I can do to the code rather than changing the algorithm. The only solution I could think about is distributing the workload to other computers but I don't know where to find such source of cheap computing power. If you can help me with the problem I face ,please contact me : )
hey guys, I'm new here, I would like to start learning python, what courses or books would you recommend?

Washington recognizes that it is natural for people to organize and operate within groups such as political parties, but he also argues that every government has recognized political parties as an enemy and has sought to repress them because of their tendency to seek more power than other groups and to take revenge on political opponents.[4] He feels that disagreements between political parties weakened the government.
We've been arguing against political parties for... ever, essentially

He was re-elected with a stronger plurality, 48.2% of the vote, in a three-candidate election in 2014. During his tenure as the Governor of Maine, he made extensive use of his veto power, vetoing 652 bills as of July 2018, more than the total by all Maine governors over the previous 100 years combined.[1] As governor he made controversial remarks regarding abortion, the LGBTQ community, racial minorities, the death penalty, voting rights, campaign financing, the government and the environment that sparked widespread national criticism including calls for impeachment.
LePage left office with an approval rating of 39%.[a] His disapproval figure of 54% was the fourth-highest of the governors at the time.[2] LePage was blocked by Maine's term limits from serving a third consecutive term. His plurality wins and unpopular tenure contributed to Maine voters changing their voting system from plurality voting to ranked-choice voting in a 2016 ballot initiative even though it is currently not applicable for gubernatorial elections.
Yay users getting a new phone and not giving me a heads up so I can smoothly transition their authenticators as opposed to having to get our MSP involved
That's the best
Wait you can't do that?
Not for Microsoft
Oh yeah we've had this conversation before
I can with some of our other services, just not - yeah
Feels weird having to wait for your contractor MSP to get back to you before your employee can even login to do any work
She can log in
It does
But it only asks for it from time to time
Wait, what did I miss while on call?
halving and doubling is a selling point of the metric system
the best thing about the metric system is that it's all powers of 10
Because, you know, you can't take halves or doubles of any of the Imperial measurements
If the store is half of one of those "miles" down the road, you're SOL, just gotta tell your friend that the store is "part of a mile that way"
Ahem
@fast umbra What's your question?
Since there's an ongoing conversation, better to ask either using the help system or in here
Exactly
That's the point, you can use parts of measurements in any system
So it could be used as a selling point for any or all of them
No worries, I was looking for recommendation regarding a pair of bluetooth earbuds to wear while working out, also with a decent noise cancelling so I can wear in noisy places as well 🙂
and I deliberately select my tools so they can be used by anyone. it's an accessibility issue at this point.
authenticators are really hard to move over, I usually make sure to print out the private keys and store them in a secured place incase the digital authenticators get lost.
No no, it's more that they add their new one and then remove the old one first
That is the proper way to do it.

WTF Why would anyone want to become Autistic? Do they not understand how much we suffer because of something we cannot control?
Not being able to feel normal around people is dammed anxiety inducing
Who would want to inflict it upon themselves?

Are the Neurotypicals okay?
feels like the word goy
In my experience, excluding people is only wrong when the people who have been excluded all their lives are doing the excluding.
When the normals do it, it's perfectly fine.
There's a strong correlation between divorce rates and the sales of disney movies. That doesn't mean causation.
After all, popularity of movies that teach impressionable young people that there is the perfect person and you should wait for the prince charming to come and sweep you off your feet and live happily ever after is totally not giving them unrealistic expectations about relationships.

@dry onyx It was just because we were in the middle of a conversation, and when someone joins and starts to interrupt it's considered rude
it's alright i understand i don't mind.. i am just so confused and cuz 400+ ping seems horible after buying 8Gb ram's vps on microsoft azure
It's going to depend on where the server is hosted
so i am trying hard to figure it out.. so sorry to all of you if i interrupted
The VPS' specs don't really factor into the ping
umm so code is also good cuz i tested it and on my local connection it gives 100 or less than 100 ping
Ping is how long it takes for you to send a packet to a service and receive it back
If you're far from the server distance wise, that makes a difference. If connections between you and the server are having issues or are slow, that can affect it

!d round
round(number[, ndigits])```
Return *number* rounded to *ndigits* precision after the decimal point. If *ndigits* is omitted or is `None`, it returns the nearest integer to its input.
For the built-in types supporting [`round()`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/functions.html#round "round"), values are rounded to the closest multiple of 10 to the power minus *ndigits*; if two multiples are equally close, rounding is done toward the even choice (so, for example, both `round(0.5)` and `round(-0.5)` are `0`, and `round(1.5)` is `2`). Any integer value is valid for *ndigits* (positive, zero, or negative). The return value is an integer if *ndigits* is omitted or `None`. Otherwise, the return value has the same type as *number*.
For a general Python object `number`, `round` delegates to `number.__round__`.
