As we explain in the article, we only grant extra permissions if the bot requests them in the channel. You need to handle errors for missing permissions so the bot requests the correct missing permissions (in your situation it was requesting SEND_MESSAGES when apparently it needed MANAGE_MESSAGES). Since your bot didn't request the correct missing permissions I wasn't able to test it properly.

Yeah bot should show an error message that what perm it needs to execute that command. Like for kick bot require Kick_members. So if bot don't have kick_members perm it should give an error I Don't Have Enough Permission To Use This command| Require : kick_members
