Welcome to Top.gg’s Discord Server - a community surrounding https://top.gg/; a platform that’s here to make the metaverse accessible, specifically to facilitate connecting users to interest-driven communities by enabling contextual discovery. Our vision is to become the center of gravity for community building & discovery.
In this server, you can receive support from our community, participate in fun events, and be a part of our growing community. To keep this server welcoming and fun for everyone, please make sure to view our server rules as well as our general etiquette.
1. Be friendly and respectful towards everyone.
We want to make sure anyone, regardless of background, is welcome in our community - including members who may be unfamiliar with Discord. In addition, there is no place for discrimination or harassment here. Please be civil and helpful towards other members and avoid arguments or drama.
2. Avoid self-promotion and spam.
To maintain a community with meaningful conversations, please refrain from posting copypastas, chain mails, backlogging bots or joining/leaving voice chats rapidly. Advertisements, self-promotion, or shilling (such as your Twitch stream, an invite to your Discord Server, etc.) can be spammy and detract from our community discussions. Please be mindful when posting unrelated content.
3. Stay on topic of the channel.
To facilitate communication, we have specific channels dedicated to different aspects of Top.gg - for more guidance, please check out each channel’s topic. Furthermore, we ask that you keep interactions primarily in English as our server is predominantly English-speaking. That said, we welcome other languages in #support, #memes-and-media, and #general-int.
4. Be mindful of the content you post.
When participating in our community, be thoughtful of how content you share can affect other users. Our community consists of users in different age groups; therefore, anything you post should be family friendly and suitable for all ages. Additionally, please refrain from posting photosensitive content (such as emojis that move quickly or change colors rapidly) for the comfort of everyone.
5. Escalate to our volunteer staff (e.g. moderators) when necessary.
Please inform a moderator when you believe another member is violating our rules or guidelines. For server raids that require immediate attention, please ping the <@&868548511279480893> role in any channel. Your safety comes first - if someone is making you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

In order to encourage a healthy community, if you find another member potentially breaking these guidelines or disrupting our community, please notify a moderator so they can take action if necessary. A moderator may issue a warning, mute, or a ban, depending on the severity of the situation. Attempts to evade them are not tolerated.
