#development can help you figure out how to detect missing permissions and request them to server owners/admins. It's easier to do that rather than asking people to re-invite the bot with new permissions or something.
Something like "This feature requires MANAGE_MESSAGE permissions to function", for example.
In fact regardless of future/present features it's best to do that, not everyone is going to invite your bot with the permissions you set in your invite.

I have a voter role set up and my server posted on top.gg and the DLS bot in my server with the ability to manage roles and above almost all other roles. But the bot will not give out the "Voter" role I have set up when someone votes.

sending a DM isn't an event. If you mean the guildCreate event when the bot is added to the server, you have no way to know from that event who added it. It's anyone that has Manage Server or Admin perms, and also of course the server owner.
