The game doesn't have any servers, it's peer to peer so if everyone is getting dropped it's probably the host having bad connection. If they drop, the game drops. It doesn't transfer host to someone else in the lobby. May be worth trying to change the host

Yo, I got the ps4 and ps5 version of drg, but my save data is only on the ps4 version. How do I transfer it over to the ps5 version?

Make sure the save data is backed up to the cloud, then load up the PS5 version and in the in-game Options menu, select Save Menu, then Restore Save. This should do the trick.
(Also, just to let you know, this only works in one direction taking a save from the PS4 version to the PS5 version. If you want to be able to play with your progress on both a PS4 and a PS5, you need to use the PS4 version on both consoles.)

depends on what would you expect for boomstick
without OC, I would choose 11312 or 21312. the former is good for groups and the latter can kill tanky enemies a bit more easily but worse ammo economy.
if you want heat mod on T5, you might want to choose 1 for T4 if you use it groups, while you might want to choose 2 for T1 if you want to use it for tankies

the heat mod is good in general, but keep in mind that it damages worse for oppressor and dreads due to fire resistance

Nah definitely get in there. The sooner you start tackling them, the more overclocks you'll start picking up and getting better at missions. Getting great overclocks early game really help make things better for you overall and deep dives are something to be enjoyed, not feared 😉

Oh that's nice to hear. I actually am still experiencing it lol. Been playing helldivers and stuff on my usual LAN but jumped into DRG yesterday and still had the infinite load again and switched to Wi-Fi and it worked. But 80% is better than zero so hopefully this helps other players who don't have the option to switch 🙏🏿

There are no game servers or save servers; save games are all stored locally on the game console or PC, or in the cloud for each respective platform.
Everything is dependent upon each platform's infrastructure, and the platforms offer no ways to communicate or sync account data with each other, so it seems incredibly unlikely any kind of cross-progression will happen (besides what exists between Xbox consoles and Windows PCs, because Microsoft makes that possible via the Xbox network, and transferring to Steam is only unofficially supported by the fact that the save files are similar enough that they're compatible sometimes. They could stop working at any time, and occasionally don't work because of version mismatches).

TL;DR - Probably not. Certainty don't wait for or expect it.

Have your friends who are having connection issues try switching their connection type:

Yea PS chat is more common here. We only got dedicated pods less than six months ago and the PS+discord integration is maybe a year old.

Depends on what you're experiencing, I guess. But there are no game servers, everything is peer-to-peer with one person as the host. If their internet is not the best, then everyone connected to them may have a rough time

That sounds like it's down to poor connections on the host's side and/or the host either kicking people or simply leaving the game. There is no host migration, so if a host exits or disconnects it ends the mission and disbands the team for everyone else

DRG has no account or save file servers, so there is no one to contact about recovering your save files as Ghost Ship Games never has access to them. All save data is stored locally and in the platform's cloud services if available an enabled. In your case, as far as I'm aware, Sony requires PS+ for cloud backups, and I believe you have enable automatic backups.

So, if you played on the same account and had PS+ with auto-cloud backups enabled, you may be able to recover your progress by going to the in-game Options menu, selecting Save Menu, and then selecting Restore Save. Any available cloud saves would show up there.

There is no cross-platform play. The only thing close to it is the Xbox version on console can play with the Xbox version on PC because they're both essentially the Xbox version.

At this point it is safe to say that this will never change in any way due to a few key reasons which you can read more about in the pinned messages

But there are so many games which is apply cross-connect between pc and ps5, for example i want to play with my brother who has pc , but i have only ps5. Earlier we played by pc. And thise request for developers))) for example helldivers2 , which copied idea from drg!!!!

DRG and Helldivers 2 are certainly similar styles of games, but they work completely differently. DRG has no servers for gameplay or account stuff; everything is peer-to-peer and those connections are set up by PlayStation's network, or Xbox's network, or Steam's network. And since PlayStation doesn't have built-in support for players to see Xbox or Steam accounts, there's no way for the PlayStation players to connect to anyone else. Same goes for Xbox and Steam. None of them have built-in support to see people playing on other platforms; that is always set up by the devs and requires the devs to utilize additional hardware and built additional software.

That said, even if Sony decided to work with Steam and/or Xbox to allow players to connect, the Steam version of DRG has features that the console versions cannot fully support. The Steam version is simply incompatible unless it gets downgraded, because the console versions cannot support the more advanced cave generation or the mod functionality that Steam has.

Long story short: it's just not gonna happen.

Kinda seems like if we want healthy PS5 servers, we gotta advertise DRG on PS5 for the dev.
Not trying to be snarky, but a blunt perspective. And, maybe I am wrong....but, I've never seen DRG on the PSN store

I only ended up getting it because it would get mentioned in the HD2 community as a similar game and at level 85 I was looking for something fun and fresh

The launch of the game on playstation or recent sale were never on my store page. Never seen it featured in the editors choice or hot this month sections either. More I think about it, weird that DRG never even got pushed to me by the store as a "We see you play HD2, buy this game thats like it" section either

I felt a bit lucky that when I happened to decide to search for the game by name on the PS store lastweekend, it happened to be on sale and made the purchase an easy choice

tl,dr: I don't think PS5 owners even know this game is on the store and it may help to get the word out

DRG on the other hand has had connection issues on PS for 2 years and devs have never taken serious steps to try to fix this.

i get a 100% connection rate once i switch, ethernet i can barely join any games.

Yeah. I'm like you. The only way I can join games is if I use wifi. It's crazy how the devs can't pinpoint the issue and think it's an isolated problem. Legit been over a year. There's people out there that it doesn't work on wifi and they're unable to use ethernet to get around it. And then you have to factor in that the switching network method didn't work at at all for some people.

I just play the game during events or when a season drops. Since this game is a side game now instead of my primary. But I come in occasionally and check to see if they've done anything about this network issue.

And it's sad to see how long it's been and they really just gave up on fixing it
