To help with ammo consumption you should swap between your weapons when shooting enemies. This is sorta harder to do as gunner as the mini gun doesn’t reload. Generally you want to get the most value out of a resupply as you can. The resupply only refills 50% of your max ammo capacity for your guns.

So if you had 20% primary remaining and 70% secondary remaining, it would top you up to 70% primary and 100% secondary. A lot of green beards take 2 resupplies because they are completely out of primary ammo and their secondary weapons and grenades and support tools are full.

Like if you know you’re gonna resupply soon, and you still have full nades, you should spend your nades to save on other ammo’s ya feel?

The 1.32 patch released yesterday broke multiplayer or most players, the rollback to 1.31 didn't work for everyone, so we just patched to 1.33 and should be working as well as patch 1.31. We are still aware of a rare connection issue and looking into solutions

If you cancel, they are still in your library but you have to buy them. If you restart your subscription, they're available for free again

It's why PS Plus has its own section in your library. You'll also notice certain games have the plus logo on them in your library to denote them as games that you own as part of the subscription

Long text warning but I think motion controls are worth it.

I used to hate it cause you know. That's normal. Plus people are thinking of like Nintendo gimmicks when motion controls are talked about. Like 90% of Wii games BUT.

I'm pretty sure every study where people examine it. Its always better than stick aiming (when you learn to use it)

The thing that convinced me was watching Splatoon. Because they're aiming WAY too good for me to ignore.

So I learned and now I can't go back. Basically the main problem with stick aiming is that doing precise motions and large motions with the same stick is hard. Like you can set your stick sensitivity but now your stick sensitivity is either for aiming (low) or for turning (high).

But with motion controls. You turn with the sticks and aim with the Gyro.

Basically you play like normal but when it comes time to do very small movements-like killing a menace from across the cave- or movements that require you to lock onto a moving target-like Mactera- you start tilting the controller just slightly enough to get it right onto your crosshair without overshooting or undershooting with stick aiming.

You shouldn't really be moving a ton with gyro. Its just for better precision aiming. You're not gonna be playing the majority of the game swinging the controller around for movement.

I recommend Starting out with motion controls on but just don't move in your seat and play normally. That way it won't even feel abnormal.

Now- go into a cave and try aiming at something far away. Its gonna be harder to keep your crosshair on it if it starts moving the further away it is with a stick.

But now- you can start tilting your controller to keep your crosshair on it better.

There ya go. The only time you should be using motion controls for its intended purpose.

Yyeah I think the biggest thing for me, is just how different it is. Cause even though I’m using a controller, I’m doing some flicking around. And I usually run a higher sense, so I can turn around in a timely matter.
So the only application of gyro I can see for myself, is precision aiming. But with how inconsistently I hold the controller, move it around in my hands, etc, seems like it’d definitely be a big learning curve to keep my hands more… normal lmao

1st mission impressions: I turned it off after 7 minutes, cause it was a bit infuriating trying to use it, and I got real close to dying on haz 3 lmao.
I can absolutely see the applications for it, but between those times, it was hindering me. Though, second mission incoming so we’ll see!

Now. I play DRG and I'm as solid as a rock.

Except for when i put my controller down at the pod when my character ends the game looking at the ground but lmao.

Very intriguing results from the second mission! I actually took precision mode off, and turned up the motion control sense (80 vertical 80 horizontal). And like, for standing your ground and just fire like I was doing on Gunner, it was great! Swapping between targets felt very fluid, and the sensitivity wasn’t too much where I couldn’t aim normally when I needed too. It was like back when I played an indie game on Steam called Robocraft, and I was just beaming the hell out of people lmao. Aka, it felt like I was using a mouse, which was very nice!
Jumping and shooting with motion controls? I’d need hours and hours to be able to do that. However, flicking down to throw a shield, never been easier!

But when you get more used to it. You can even start doing them at the same time

And like recently I’ve been playing DRG a lot less, cause well I’m level 337, I’ve done pretty much everything lmfao. So getting used to it here, could harm my gamer performance stuff in OW

No real trick. They have a fairly low spawn rate. I believe I've seen it said that the percentage chance of them spawning goes up for missions with higher length ratings.
All you can do is explore each cave fully, and keep an ear out for the beeping of the Helmet (interacting with it reveals the location of the pack on your Terrain Scanner as a purple marker) and/or the beeping of the Batteries for the Cargo Crate

Mako is right, HOWEVER there is a way to farm them! Pick Scout, find a Point Extract mission (preferably 10 aquarqs, cause it’s 3 mission length, giving you the highest spawn chance), and just grapple up and around, and look around!
Point Extract caves are usually giant and open, so spotting batteries, a crate, a helmet, or even machine events across the map is easy!
So pick Haz 1, lock Scout, find a Point Extract, fly through the cave, yoink loot, and abort mission. Should only take a few minutes for each cycle of that :D

I'd say if there's any game that does have PlayStation to PC saves or save data transfers in general-
Its almost always because Sony doesn't handle that save data.

Its in the game's own servers or the game's company's specific account.

Like if you make a Fornite account. Its SPECIFICALLY a Fornite account so you will have that data on all platforms as long as you log in to the account.

Or you want an account like an EA account or a Microsoft account if you're playing one of those games. If that game supports sending save data to the account to then download to the new platform.

And as far as I know.

There are no DRG specific log ins.
And no Ghost Ship Game accounts

So DRG does not support transferring save data across platforms because there is no way for that save data to end up somewhere to then be read by another version of the game.

...or you know just saying Sony can't accommodate save transfers works too.

The game would have to be rebuilt to accommodate it, and the devs would probably have to set up servers to handle it since the game relies entirely on peer-to-peer connections set up by each platform's network. @tight beacon btw not sure if this is helpful for that joining bug but I just noticed that as far as PS is concerned, I'm in these sessions even when it fails to actually join.

In this screenshot I tried to join, got the infinite loading and cancelled back to lobby. I'm sitting in the space rig alone (while they are in the active mission).

Even when I queue up a new mission as solo, PS still thinks I'm in the lobby. Even DRG thinks I'm in the lobby and is holding my spot (which prevents anyone else from joining if I'm the supposed 4th player).

Not sure if this helps but I only just realized what was happening today

The only way I've found to clear myself from their party (even tho I'm not in it) is to refresh the lobby a bunch of times (works like 1 in 10 tries) or restart the game. Sometimes joining another session helps but usually get ERR: UNKWN if I try to join while "in" another lobby. If you keep trying, the error message stacks (aka it'll become ERR:UNKWNUNKWN and just keeps adding another "UNKWN" to the error message with each attempt until you manage to clear your session)

After like 5-10 minutes the session does sometimes reset itself (like while I've been typing this, it finally recognized me as not in that lobby)

Tbh if you're not consistent in Haz5 it's easier to just find a good group and roll with them.

OR if you get to 4 missions in a row, make the last mission a Point extract mission. Then play as scout and just have Bosco get everything while you kite around the map (remember you need to be finishing up around the 20 minute mark tho or it'll become hell)

Overall tho, I'd say you should focus on getting more comfortable in haz 5 first rather than trying to get the trophy first. If you can get to the point where you just breeze thru haz 5 missions, getting the trophy will be no effort at all.

It's the same button for PC and console. Reload/interact is just one bind on all platforms. They'd have to change it for everyone and tbh it's weird to have the interaction button suddenly split between 2 buttons on one mission type. Would be horribly inconsistent in terms of gameplay design.

Can't say I know how it would be better tho, just explaining that this isn't a PS thing and more of an overall DRG thing.

Also this would be better for #suggestions or #suggestion-discussion given it's about the overall game. I'm sure it's been discussed in both before (definitely seen it on the subreddit quite a few times)

There are two separate binds on PC. I do not believe I've changed the default keybinds, so I'm pretty sure the default for Reload is bound to the R key, while Interact is bound to the E key.
The context-sensitive double-bind works pretty well most of the time, but I can definitely see how it could be a bit troublesome on Pipelines. At times, even having a singly-bound Interact key can cause you to grind if you're standing on the Pipeline while trying to build or repair, but at least it makes more sense than discontinuing the grind while trying to reload, and is user error (not looking directly at the Pipeline joint) when it happens

As someone who has not used a controller while playing DRG, and having not given it too much thought to determine if there would be issues with it, double-binding Call Molly and Interact sounds like it could potentially be a solution all around, not just in On-Site Refining missions. It would run into the issue of people needing to learn the new binding, but, at a glance, it sounds like a fairly decent suggestion. PC already has another, separate bind for Call Molly, so there would be no issues there with a change like that
