I joined a random mission at start as Scout. Haz 3 ( my sweet spot) .

There was a Omen tower. They wanted to fight the tower.

I said "sure let's setup then" They start it with no warning as I'm digging a cubby hole to dodge the flying bombs.

I grapple out of the area , the team goes down I use my field med insta revive on someone.
They go down again. This time I just wait the clock out. Event failed.

->But I revived everyone and we completed the mission

It was an assignment mission so I reeeeaaallly wanted to get it done.

Even if it wasn't an assignment mission, finishing the mission gets you so much more than failing it. And you get the bonus XP just for having the event finish, whether it is finished successfully or not, so your team only missed out on a chance to cash in a blank core. If you would have gone down with everyone else in a vain attempt to successfully complete the Machine Event, you would have lost more than just a reoccurring chance to cash in the blank core...

Machine Event XP is awarded as long as the Machine Event is started and allowed to end, whether it ends successfully or ends in failure. If I don't have any blank cores, I'll still start a Machine Event and leave it to fail while I complete the rest of the mission just to get the bonus XP

My understanding for PlayStation is that cloud saves only exist if you are subscribed to PlayStation Plus and have turned on automatic cloud saves or manually make a cloud save. I could be mistaken about this.
You can access cloud saves (if available) from within the game. In the Options menu, go to Save Menu. Select Restore Save, and then you should see a list of the available cloud save files

They're aware of it. They're not bothered by it (it's not a competitive game so there's no unfair advantage to be gained by exploiting it), and fixing it is not a priority at the moment. So, if you choose to cheese the progression while it's bugged, you're free to do so without fear of repercussions

It's a never-say-never kind of feature; the devs know how much people want it, but the game isn't designed for it and it would be a ton of work to redesign it for cross-platform play.
First, the Steam version is actually slightly different than the console versions, since the Steam version supports slightly larger cave generation that would not be possible on last-gen consoles and the Steam version has some Discord integration built in that ties into the (mostly just a prototype) Unions feature.
Second, each version relies on the platform's networking/matchmaking, so that would have to be completely redesigned to allow for communication between users who are using accounts that are not compatible. DRG does not use servers for multiplayer; it's completely peer-to-peer. There is no common hub for the versions to use to communicate with each other, and the platforms themselves don't have things set up to access accounts on other platforms.
It's not impossible to overcome these limitations, but it would require considerable time and resources for a small team that is already constantly updating what is essentially 6 versions across 3 different platforms. I don't think anyone should expecting cross-play, but it's nice to dream...

They're a Matrix Core with a recipe for either a Weapon Overclock, or a Cosmetic Overclock.
You get Blank Matric Cores from Deep Dives and Weekly Core Hunt Assignments. When you successfully complete a Machine Event during a mission, you can infuse a Blank Core at the Machine Event terminal. The terminal will give you three choices between random Weapon or Cosmetic Overclocks when you use it

You're very welcome! It's so easy to overlook some of the reasons why cross-play isn't available or planned, so I never mind providing a little extra background info about the subject. It's easy to see other games doing it and think that DRG would be a good candidate for it gameplay-wise, but technically it's way more complicated than it appears on the surface

Sort of, haha. I've never owned an Xbox (or a PlayStation, for that matter), but I do play primarily on the Microsoft Store version on PC, which uses the Xbox network. The answer regarding cross-play is not really dependent upon any individual platform, though; it's pretty much the exact same answer for all platforms

It’s based on mission length. If it’s a three length mission, I believe it’s a 35% chance for one to spawn. 10 Aquarq point extracts are three length, and typically have big open caves. Making them the best for farming any event or spawn really

Any of the progress-related trophies should pop automatically, but you may need to do something that updates the progress once for it to pop. For example, the trophies that are related to promoting dwarves, you may need to do one promotion for the trophy to trigger.

However, some trophies only pop when you complete the requirements in the moment, because no progress is tracked for them. For example, I believe most of the barrel trophies, like kicking barrels into the drop pod or the barrel game in the bar, do not have progress related to them, so they can only trigger in the moment when you complete the trophy requirement

Totally understand, but to think about it another way, you do get double the trophies because they are counted separately, as far as I'm aware. And the major time-intensive trophies tend to be the progress trophies, so those should be quick to pop.
But yes, things like Carpool and the the barrel hoop game can be tough to get again

My main tip is to pay attention to where your teammates ping. Also if they shout. Basically you can rely on in game voice commands rather than voice chat. Just always hold L1 to see where your teammates are. Let a teammate who knows the path take the lead and just follow and make sure you're not alone lol

If you have PS Plus and you have automatic cloud saves turned on, you should have cloud backups you can load.

In the game, open the Options menu. Go to the Save Menu. Select Restore Save

You can kind of negate this by disabling gestures. GEstures are the commands to swipe on the touch pad to bring out the corresponding weapon; swipe down you pull out your support tool. I find with gestures on it makes using the map annoying

In general the meteor stuff has caused a shit ton of problems that are annoying as hell.

If it isn't the frame rate the meteors give Molly super annoying paths that can make extraction almost impossible.

Don't remind me. Molly usually takes a sensible path back to the drop pod but if there's a supply pod or meteor hole available, she will take that route instead and leave me high and dry with no way to follow her :(.

I mean you guys talk about molly, there we can at least take another route (unless its O2) but the damn christmas elf is also using meteorite shard tunnels and even if you are a scout that you can forget going after that thing

this is when you learn the skill of learning how to read the map to be able to make it back without following molly

optimally you start running back the moment you call down the escape pod and drag her with you so she starts closer to it when she starts moving, and thus are ahead of her already anyway

knowing how to read the map makes her taking drop pod holes completely a nonissue on everything other than low o2 maps

low o2 has a lot of other skill related counterplay available, but most people don't even try to think about those

Maybe I just haven’t played enough, but personally I haven’t seen too much Elf shenanigans at all. I’ll usually ping it, so Bosco’s constantly on it. Then shoot at it when I’m not busy pushing the objective or something. Cause I can just hold out the ping tool, and see where Bosco is, so I have rough idea of where the Elf is. And if he’s killed it in that time, the Elf has an icon on the map

Have you checked any external USB Drives you have connected to your system and looked there for a backup? I always backup my saves to both the PS Plus Save File Cloud and a USB Drive so there's always fallback option available.

i found a glitch
if you disconnect a drop pod battery line/ rock cracker line, you can start a new line form nothing if you create a new connection quick enough, and if you connect a disembodied drop pod line to the drop pod in salvage missions, it softlocks the mission as if you properly connect the line, you cannot build the battery to activate it. I did it on a 3 mini mule salvage mission that i spent 31 minutes on (Elf, machine event and meteor shower happened)

I've reported it so hopefully it gets fixed

BTW if you connect a disembodied line to a rock cracker jackhammer or whatever it is, it will still work

Is anyone else having issues downloading their cloud saved data to a different system and not loading your stuff properly? I've tried a half dozen times and it keeps throwing me in the tutorial on this other ps4 (not mine), despite having my data (from my ps4) uploaded to the cloud and downloaded to this ps4. I can't access any of my saved data on this ps4.

Edit: figured it out. For anyone else who might have the same issue, once you download your actual save file from the cloud to the new system, there's an extra step in game.

Options button on controller > Options in top left menu > Save Menu > Restore Save > select the save you want restored, it will have your player level and currency and such listed. It'll prompt something like "This will overwrite your Current Save file" the current one being the tutorial/level one save you're sitting in. Select yes. It'll reload the space station with all your stuff.

I'm looking for two regular players who are supportive of trans people, or trans themselves, and progressive. I main Driller, and am otherwise versatile, and the other person mains Engineer, and seconds as Scout. I'm rank 111, and they're rank 50, I think.

We usually play in the afternoon, sometimes late morning, rarely past 5pm, and not every day, and I sometimes play alone, and we're both on EST. I might play solo anytime between 7am and 11pm EST.

We usually play Hazard 2, and are starting to do Hazard 3 sometimes, and it's my new usual when playing solo.

No, that's not planned. There are no servers for DRG like there are with other games, so the devs have no access to your progress. All account stuff is handled through each platforms' own system, and all progress is stored locally or in your platform's cloud storage (where available). Perhaps one day if the various platforms make it easy to link and share account data between them it could happen, but that doesn't seem likely

Sure. And a quick google search leads me to believe that Cyberpunk 2077 is the one of the most expensive games ever made (around US$ 313 million) and was worked on by a team of around 500 people.

So, about 20 times as many people worked on Cyberpunk 2077 as DRG, and I'm guessing DRG didn't have a $300+ million budget, either. If DRG had that budget and that number of employees, I would absolutely expect all kinds of extra support, too. Until then, it's not even close to a reasonable comparison...

I had just completed a duo 1 hour 12minutes and 20 seconds long in the deep dive. What a legendary experience. The first two phases were really dicey. And at the end, the mine 7 aquarqs and collect 150 morkite stage. There was a rival tech nemesis and it literally got one shot by the falling aquarqs platform.

I remember when I was a greenbeard. It took me like 4 hours to finally figure out some common things to do, even then it took me a few days to find out how to find an aquarqs. I just noticed a lot of people find them and brought them back to the platform.

The biggest advice I can give you is to follow the 50 rule. When you go to restock your weapons at a resupply pod it’ll only give you 50% of your maximum carrying capacity of ammo. So if you only used your primary weapon and you ran out of ammo you’d only receive half. This may make you tempted to take 2 servings, but try not to ever do this as it is common courtesy to only take one especially in a group of 4.

The best way to use the rule of 50 is to swap between your primary and secondary weapons when facing enemies.

If you mean that many people disband the lobbies after a single mission or leave the group after the single mission, that’s very common for DRG. Many people have different assignments, or sometimes you need to be in solo to promote your dwarf. Sometimes people logout. People leaving is to be expected in any game. What makes people keep joining is what is really fun about it!
