So I am currently using the "Sprint by Default, Hold to Walk" mod and it appears to work normally until I swap to Gunner. Literally every other class it works fine with, but as soon as I swap to gunner, it stops working, I have to change to a deferent character, and then I have to disable and reenable the mod to get it working again. ANyone else had this happen?

The bug comes into affect in the space rig before I even start up a mission
second wind is a passive perk though? also if you start a mission as gunner does it persist into the mission?

it is only fixed from what I can tell by disabling and reenabling the mod

if so, try having it be the only enabled mod. otherwise the only other thing i can think of is verifying your files
if you cant get it working, youll have to ask the mod author. thats an annoying bug to have so i hope you can fix it quickly

idk that i would say anything is really "essential", but personally i like customizable ally outlines, combined resources, and sprint by default
simpleqol is nice if you want a separate key for hoverboots/dash or better sentry management

Hi, one of my mods (weapon hit crosshair) seems to disable itself once every week or so, despite unchecking "auto disable outdated mods".

It won't impact your save, but you won't be able to join vanilla lobbies or get achievements while it's enabled

Can i get some help? im trying to file transfer from steam to xbox (pc) and the xbox (pc) does not want to accept the file from steam. from watching tutorials it should want to change the file type after I rename it to what the previous file name was from the orginal xbox file name but it is not formating it from the .sav file to the normal one. Each time i try to do this and boot up the xbox pc version it just deletes the file i put in and makes a new one with a new save of the game. any help on this would be great
Have to have file extensions shown in file explorer so that you can change the file types. Can open up control panel to access file explorer settings.

Theyre what it says on the tin. Hazard 6 is a step up from hazard 5 and 1x64 is hazard 1 but tikes 64. Iirc it doesnt effect damage but its enemy count

there is a channel for it in the modding discord where you can find info about how to set it up and ask questions if you need help.
for getting started with mods in general, go to the modding tab in the esc menu and connect your steam with mod.io. it should walk you through that pretty easily. from there you can subscribe to mods on mod.io and manage which ones are enabled in-game

In DRG there are a few particles that use the UE Niagara Particle system which UAssetGUI does not fully support. Does anyone know if the new DwarfSDK has these uncooked files?

Either using modding tools to look into upgrades and the PRJ file or using another tools for dumping / viewing the velocity at runtime. And it wouldn't be too hard to make a mod that separately displays it whenever you fire that particular projectile.

my game is crashing when I open the weapon terminal
and then it crashes again immediately upon restart and when I open the game the third time i have to reinstall all my mods
and it does this even if I have no mods enabled
how can I fix this?

I finally found where drg stores error logs and it turns out it was truly to load the mcr flares despite me disabling them, so unsubscribing from the mod fixed the issue

Guys i have a problem with mods, days ago i installed several mods from mod.io then i decided to remove some of them and delete others but they neither added nor deleted, at that point i tried several times to log out and log back in to uninstall and re install the game to delete mods from folders but nothing to now i deleted my account from mood.io but i still see the mods in game and if i delete them they keep re installing as if there is still some link not synchronized

is there an easy way to increase max ragdolls or is this the type of thing that overrides the death animations directly? I'd assume enemies that are killed and turned to ash wouldn't create a ragdoll, and what is the timeout for despawns of ragdolls?

there's a mod called SHADOWS! that adds dynamic shadows to all entites in the game
It doesn't add shadows to other things, just adds shadow casting to some light sources which then works with other things by default.
it drains FPS when you have like 6 or more light sources, my FPS drops from around 110 to 45 with 4 Scout flares in 1 room
I don't think that has much to do with the lights themselves.
it has to do with how the lights cast shadows and they're all dynamic lights, so the shadows created are all updating in real time and casting multiples of the shadows even if not rendered

When I see other players modding, they don't have this, and I don't really get people joining my lobbies. I'm wondering how it is possible
if you only have "verified" mods it wont show up. if you have "approved" mods, it'll show this tag. "sandbox" mods have a tag on the side of the screen and the [modded] tag iirc.
when you have the tag, it means that your lobby gets marked as modded and it should only show in the server list if they check the option to show modded lobbies. its a bit uncommon to get people to join a modded lobby unless you announce it somewhere like #lfg-modded-steam
approved mods can be either required or optional. required mods means everyone in the lobby must have it and optional means only the host needs it. this might be why you dont see the modded tag for others. the other reason would be because of a third-party mod loader
So how much time/effort would it be to to download all the modding tools and learn my way around just to change a couple lines of an existing mod for personal use?

So today I discovered why I couldn't mod drg anymore. So there's this mod called "and traversal for all" which breaks everything mod related.
How can I reset keybinds on SimpleQOL? Esc and backspace do nothing, so as disabling and enabling the mod.

Hi, I am here to ask for some help regarding a bug I have with mods. I have already opened a tiket on the mod.io server but they can't help me, I have also asked for help on your discord but even there no one knows how to help me that's why I thought maybe by writing directly to you I could get direct contact.
The main problem is that when I try to delete a mod by unsubscribing from the mod.io broswer interface on steam it keeps staying in the game even if I delete it in the files folder (I have tried both in FSD/Saved and C:\Users\Public\mod.io ) each time they re-download, same thing to install new ones I subscribe to the mod but it never gets installed. So to now I am stuck with unwanted mods that not even some of them work, on mod.io I unsubscribed from all mods.
Please help me I've been trying for days to fix this I'm going crazy

Im a modder (not a bad one i swear) and im the creator of first custom DRG mode, ARENA!
Its a mode where 3 brave dwarfs fight on one big arena (obviously) against ALL the BOSSES in the game (swarms in the meantime too) at ONCE! On this gamemode you can instantly revive your fellow teammates and you can instantly take resupplies, for fast and intense gameplay. There are two stages of the battle, the warm up stage where you fight 4-5 bosses at once, and then the main stage, pure hell. I already hosted around 50 games of ARENA and almost everyone was saying that it was A TON of fun. So if you’d like to play too just send me a message, and ill send you my steam invite code so you can join the ARENA (Europe).
[One game of this mode takes usually between 30 min - 1,5 hour]

missions and enemy types youd have custom hazards, and massive content revise/whatever its called, the shorthand name is MCR, which has custom missions and enemies. afaik there are none that add guns(?), karl mod would be closest which lets you equip any gun and equipment on any dwarf

Can someone with modding experience in the game tell me if it's possible to make a mod that filters lobbies with 4 or more dwarves in it out of the server browser? It sounds silly, but there are a lot of modded lobbies floating around that don't use approved mods so the regular filter doesn't stop you from seeing those lobbies. I don't want to play in modded player count lobbies and with how many of those lobbies there are, it's beginning to be a little tedious glancing over to make sure there aren't 4 dwarf icons already.
I'm kind of assuming it'd be feasible and (maybe?) not too difficult, just would like someone with an idea of how modding works in drg to weigh in before I dig too far into things

So I'm having an odd issue with my game and i don't know if it's mod related or not. Worst part is, it's not every game, so I can't just go through my mods and disable one by one.
Ultimately what happens is that the game freezes for a minute or two but the game actually keeps going, aka joined players don't notice and I still get attacked and downed etc etc.
However: Before the freezing there are signs that the dwarfs stop saying their lines and once the freezing stops the game will play all "missed" voice lines at once.
I tried looking through the comments on mods but didn't find anyone complaining about something similar, so i'm not quite sure if it actually isn't a vanilla isue
i once had an issue like that, but it was because my disk was failing. check if in those moments you have any unusual hardware activity

Basically it would change all sound effects of pings, enemy sounds & other sounds with more flight or fight inducing sound effects that all dwarves fear (Mactera Grabbers, Bulk Detenators, nemesis & etc.).

But yes, it does, so pretty much any mission in MCR that are not baseline values will be the max chance afaik since they are quite literally double to dectuple the baseline of 100 which is turned into a float for chance as a key of 1.00 in the chance curve.
This does not equate a 100% chance, the max occurs at key 2.00 for most things and no longer increases.
This is pretty much 400 Morkite, 8 Eggs, 20 Aquarqs, 4 Mini Mules and anything above.

you can just insert the stalker into the game via mods like Custom Difficulty, Twitch Integration, and (I think) Swarm Control

Hello miners I need help. I have been following the Using the Shout Framework mod tutorial to make a custom mission control. I'm stuck at the end of the guide at the packaging step ever way mentioned in the linked Blueprint mod guide gives me a different error
DRG Modding Automation Scripts gives me this error:

The other method gives me this when i try to first package it in unreal: UATHelper: Packaging (Windows (64-bit)): Failed to copy C:\Users\ianwa\Downloads\FSD-Template-main\FSD-Template-main\Binaries\Win64\FSDGame-Win64-Shipping.exe to C:\Users\ianwa\Downloads\FSD-Template-main\FSD-Template-main\Saved\StagedBuilds\WindowsNoEditor\FSD\Binaries\Win64\FSDGame-Win64-Shipping.exe, deleting, waiting 10s and retrying.

Gsg please do smth about modding. It's so disappointing the new side loader doesn't have sandboxing so any op/cheaty thing can be used and ppl will get full rewards and xp (I wasn't allowed to mention this a while ago and I asked staff if I could talk about it now and got no response so I hope it's not against the rules)

There is no one employeed by GSG at the moment to manage the modding system and there hasn't been for a while. What you have is what you're going to have for a while. If those folks want to cheat progression and ruin it for themselves, let them. Who cares?
There's usually guidelines since there's mods to increase event changes

The issue is that unsuspecting players might get extra stuff they don't want but there are solutions against that.
in most of these cases anyways there are other sideloading methods, so cracking down on this one wouldn't solve it

Matters because the game has a progression system for a reason and gsg has guidelines showing they don't want mods to insta grant every reward and such so I really hope they go back to sandboxing. I get you dont care but I like using mods and a lot of times the devs help them balance it on the discord but with this new change many will be very op making me not want to use certain mods so personally matters to me and I see nothing wrong with asking smth of gsg
also Mint appends [Modded] to any server that you have that has an Approved/Sandbox mod, so if you're worried about that sort of thing just pay attention to the title

any mods that change the gameplay are already classified as Approved. basically anything that isn't balanced is already Sandbox. that won't change how people make mods

Ik it's not perfect or even that good but ppl tried to balance their shit with a "50% rule" and it was so cool to see them find unique ways to nerf one aspect and buff another or rework guns into new guns. Mad respect for ppl who tried hard to balance shit when they enforced the guidelines. They also talked to devs when balancing on the discord and it gave them new ideas and new balancing info
It was so cool the community did that and I'll miss it

the "50% rule" has always been a rule of thumb and not at all a set guideline, and which approval person you get matters a lot to approval, because the game has no guidelines on "changing this aspect of gameplay puts it into Sandbox"

-drg will be a game players have every item by doing very little from mods on their regular save
-it conflicts with the guidelines
A lot of ppl have insanely badass modding skills but don't take the time to even check the dps or dot making some builds get hundreds of more dmg in short periods of time

#2 is self-evidently not an issue because even GSG doesn't want to touch them anymore
like the game is not going to get fewer sales because players can get all the OCs more easily (in fact it's more likely to get more sales)

I don't actually know of anyone who thinks the OC grind is reasonable and rational and can be done in a short amount of time. unless you play 8 hours a day there is no way to get OCs faster than a few months

It's still an opinion. I don't like it either and I like mods that make it easier but an oc event 100% time with God teir jet boots, triple shield and 1 shotting with the click of a subscription button is too far imo
the only way you could argue this is by saying "well knowing that someone cheats their progression makes me mad"
