The sniffer smells something. I think the gniffer word is a combination of "gill" + "sniffer" ('g'niffer). I translated it as a "detection" or "sensing" (I don't know exactly) because it has big ears as far as I can see

Personally I think the most important strings in the game which should be done with priority are

• tutorial missions an HUD popups
• mission control speech, as he explains every mission at map start
• weapon mod descriptions on the equipment terminal, as it has major gameplay effects and is an important progression loop
  then followed (not as important as you have to promote first)
• deep dives
• overclocks
• beer (effect description)

it's just compound words

so think, "mobula" is a genus of manta ray

and manta ray is "rausku" in Finnish

As for why Väinö... the name is funny, and is thematically very similar to Steeve, considering you're naming a bloodthirsty space bug the most generic pet name you can think of.

We forwarded GSG the state of the translations and how much % is translated a few weeks ago. All translations are at 60% or more, except of a handful like Hebrew and Vietnamese. Apparently they decided to take the option to pick it out of the menu, languages are still on crowdin as kotaru said.

So translating it is just fine and very welcome Comrad_Potter. If you find yourself enjoying it and doing more, putting it back in the game to test is something I can ask for again, if needed 🙂

Sure, Finnish does have side sentences, but a sentence structure like that is impossible to translate unless you completely change it

It's even worse for czech because abdomen can either be translated as stomach, arse (it's zadeček which is abdomen of bugs but the word also means little ass so I obviously can't use that) or abdomen (same word)

Believe me, I'm frustrated by these strings too, but since it is low priority for the devs ( not breaking the game), and requires quite a bit of work (since they need to change how these strings are coded), the hard part is to get them to integrate it in their workflow.

Yeah, but we need to petition smart, so they can see that it is needed, and with a clear enough presentation of the problem that they easily get what needs changes, how it needs to change, and how to avoid introducing more of these in futur updates.

There is work underway for the establishing of the question in such a way that the problem is clear, and fixes are clearer.

But believe me: both Lark Dinux and Odraza are two amazing members in LATAM who are constantly reviewing their lines to make sure everything makes sense. They even spot failures in our lines as well 🙂 But we are all humans and can miss stuff like that.

Anything you believe might be wrong, let us know. We are constantly fixing those when found, and another pair of eyes is always welcome 🙂

@placid geode Translations get automatically implemented. Proofreading just 'fixes' them so new translations or votes don't influence them in the game, unless a proofreader gives them a go.
As default, any new translation gets automatically included unless there are more votes for another one, or there is an 'approved' one.
