I've been having issues with my Microsoft Store version of the game where I can't invite anyone regardless of if theyre on PC or Xbox. The option to invite (with the C key) has disappeared. Yes, it still works. You're probably not going to see the exact same file or folder names (with all the numbers) as you see in the examples, just something similar.

Go into File Explorer Options in Windows and check the View tab to make sure that "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" is selected, and "Hide extensions for known files types" is not selected

Not sure what the pc community is like but sometimes the xbox one is a bit meh. Just got through an escort mission. I farmed all the nitra and half the secondary mission items. Kept stuff lit up. To be honest i used to think that. Until today. Had been playing with a couple of peeps for a few games. We got another random on one game. Escort mission. Called supplies constantly then double dipped. Kept pressing the button when we were trying to collect nitra/set up a data cell hack. Was on the mic ordering people around. Completely ignored the chat. I gave them multiple warnings. Long story short we barely finished drilling since we had no supply drops. Saw buddy waiting by molly to call the drop pod. He got the boot. We went back and barely completed the hack lol and then limped back to the drop pod. I did send a message as to why they got the boot. The team wanted to do the hack but buddy wanted to run the show.

I wish there were more options for mapping it. You have a choice between walk backward and left stick click or walk backward plus B. Or you can simply turn it off. I wish i could set it to left stick click + right stick click.

I was redoing the EDD and nobody had died once but we all got crushed during a swarm right before we finished

For the 2nd stage to not have problems with it you gotta have 240 nitra to place a supply pod next to each pumpjack as it's called in. This way every1 can spread out if needed once 1st swarm hits. Also good to play a 4th between all locations as well. The location doesn't even really call for much drilling either to set up the 3 pipes. Had 2 make maybe 2 -3 1ft angles total. Got placed and Jack's ready then we started Jack's. Harriest part was getting the dreadnuaghts. Stage 3 can bypass bottom cavern triggering whatever may await by drilling over top of bottom cavern to collect eggs with ease.

But definitely don't want to be in refinery long for efficiency should have pipes placed by 1st swarm and constructed be4 2nd. Can mine the needed morkite while refinery is going.

I am once again asking GSG to change the Deep Dive hosting settinga to default to public rather than "solo". A recent update changed it to default to solo, so unless you're paying attention it's really easy to kick everyone in your party or not get anyone to join. It's not good for the community if it incidentally reduces the number of open dives. At minimum it should default to friends only so we don't kick our friends.

So im on Xbox one S. My game graphics are set to performance, when i play alone im at a constant 60fps but whenever i play multiplayer(no matter what haz) i get capped at 30fps. And when playing at haz 4 or even 5 i get like 20fps. How tf am i supposed to shoot things?

unfortunately thats a hardware issue do to it having less RAM, video and CPU, only thing i would recommend if possible is either A: wait to see if game gets better optimized or B: Trade in Xbox One S for a Xbox Series S since that seems to be in stock more then Series X

If it makes you feel better i play on windows 11 and my FPS on DRG is from about 15 FPS up to about 115 FPS depending on how many dwarfs spam lights and flares everywhere lol

also microsoft discontinued all xbox one models to focus on mass producing Xbox Series X/S

A very good point. Microsoft does seem to be a bit better about being more hands-off with their studios, but no one can really say how it is on the inside. I get the impression there's worse publishers to be beholden to than Microsoft, though. But yes, if indie devs are able to stay indie, I don't think that's a bad thing. That said, GSG is not as indie as they once were, technically speaking, but it seems like so far Embracer is doing things in a way that's good for the devs and Deep Rock

At least, I really hope that's the case and I hope it continues to be the case!

anyone else got really bad fps for no reason at all? All my other games run exactly the same way they always do, but drg just has bad framedrops all the time, even though I set my game to the lowest graphics

A friend, who has a much newer, more powerful PC, was having similar sounding issues where I had none. He turned off a lot of programs that were set to start automatically with Windows, and I think disabled various overlays (like Nvidia's overlay and maybe another one or two). It seems like those steps helped, as his fps improved.
I have no idea why it got bad all of a sudden, and no idea why those steps seem to have fixed things (I suspect the overlays more than anything), but that might be some stuff to try? For what it's worth, I have all overlays in various software disabled, except Game Bar, and I never experienced the issues my friend did

Windows 10/11 is not truly optimized like it is on Xbox series X. I play on windows 11 with a high end CPU and mid level GPU RTX 2070 SUPER and my computer on 4K ultra runs DRG between 15 fps-115 FPS on a 55 inch QLED tv.

Also DRG doesn’t have Xbox Series X upgrades so the extra power makes it run at 60 FPS vs older consoles

So I've got a friend trying to play this game on Windows 10 game pass, but every time he loads the game it pops up 'multiplayer session ended' on the splash screen and he can't advance from there, eventually having to alt+tab quit. Any idea what could be causing this?

I can't say I've seen this before, which is always fun. I'd reboot the PC if he hasn't yet, and try again.
If it continues after that, he can try logging out of his account in the Xbox app and then launching the game. It should ask him to log in at that point, which would hopefully do something different.
And there's always the good old uninstall/reinstall. Luckily Deep Rock is a tiny download, so it's not too much of a hassle to try

Steam and Xbox/Microsoft Store both have cloud saves as well as local saves. That's how you can move the save files between these versions, and that's how you are able to create a backup prior to unsubscribing from Game Pass to make sure you won't lose progress

I totally understand. It's a good deal, but if you don't have time to really use it, you're just paying for something you're not using. I believe there are fixes for the issue with not being able to install to a second drive, but I haven't looked into that in a while. Yeah, the fresh install probably got things working as right as possible. I'm pretty sure I've always gotten that prompt without issue, but Windows can go sideways in so many interesting ways for no apparent reason. And the Xbox app itself seems to actively want to not work right 100% of the time with how finicky it can be

There's not really a way to only partially transfer progress from a save file like you're describing. Perhaps you're copying an older Steam save file by accident? I would load the Steam version and make sure Steam seems right, and then try the process again

You can also delete the Microsoft save, then launch the Microsoft version prior to doing the save copy

Unfortunately. It's fine when it's a console with known, fixed hardware, but forcing DirecrX 12 doesn't hold up as well on PC versions then...

DirectX 11 isn't an option at all in any way for either Xbox or Microsoft Store

If the GPU doesn't fully support DirectX 12, the Microsoft Store version isn't an option unfortunately
