Do you have emoji reactions set to not show in your discord settings? Because you need to click on the reactions to self-assign yourself some roles

If you have reactions turned on and clicking on them just isn't working, then the bot is deciding not to cooperate and you may have to try again later

Sorry about that. To put it simply since discord sometimes be a bit of a pain, in the past you may have changed the discord settings to hide the small buttons (emoji reactions) that you need to click to give yourself the permissions to send messages in other channels. The setting can be found in User Settings -> Chat -> "Show emoji reactions on messages." If you check this setting and it's off, turning it on should show you the little buttons under the messages in #welcome-and-rules

Okay, I need some freaking help with this. I figured out how to file transfer and I was playing on the steam version with my windows save and I wanted to mod it. I did, but after even disabling all the mods and booting in safe mode along with using an file transfer software. I can't get my stem save file to transfer over to my windows version and I need to because my friend plays windows.

I know this isn't meant for this channel I just can't talk anywhere else.

I haven't messed around with mods myself so I can't say anything for certain, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's possible that mods may change things in such a way that the save file is no longer able to be used by the Window/Xbox version.

At the very least if it's not able to be used -- even without mods, sometimes a Steam save does not want to work on the Windows version (usually when there's an update mismatch) -- since you were already playing over on the Windows version previously it should still have your save from before. You just won't have any progress from your time on Steam

Okay, i got the roles, but no. I was playing on steam. then I did the file transfer and it deleted my windows save and It's complete a 100% restart on windows. Even signed in on a xbox and it showed a 100% restart. it's hard to tell if it worked. because I have to complete the tutorial cave for the file transfer to even have a chance at working.

You should have cloud saves that can be restored. In the game Options screen, select Save Menu, then select Restore Save. This should allow you to recover your last good save (it usually savea a few and lets you choose)

That will at least get your Windows version progress back

On Steam and Windows/Xbox, it works by default, on PlayStation you have to turn on auto-backups to the cloud, but all versions have that. The devs actually put a lot of work into getting that into the console versions and working correctly

Well darn, You can try simply rebooting, and if that doesn't work, you can try to log out of your Xbox account (from the Xbox App), reboot, then try to launch the game which will force it to have you log in. That has helped folks in the past (provided it's not on Microsoft's end, which also has happened in the past...)

People on Xbox can play with people using the Xbox version from the Microsoft Store on PC. It's been like that since 2018.

If you mean cross-play between consoles and the Steam version, that's almost definitely never happening for two main reasons: there are no game servers to facilitate (everything is peer-to-peer), and the Steam version would have to be downgraded to be compatible with the consoles

The last-gen consoles are not powerful enough, for one thing. Also, the consoles have no mod support and the console makers will likely never allow the same level of mod support that Steam has.
And, even if you dropped the last-gen consoles (which wouldn't be fair to all of those players), and figured out an elegant way to handle mods, that still doesn't solve the problem of everything is peer-to-peer and there are no servers.

Cross-play for Steam is a nice dream, but it's only a dream. So the answer to "when" remains "never"

Usually fully exiting and restarting the game (both of you) will do the trick, especially if one or the other had been playing already for a little bit. If that doesn't work, fully rebooting the console and PC almost always will. Something to be aware of, if your time and/or time zone are not set correctly it can prevent you from being able to join others

And sometimes on PC signing out of the Xbox app, rebooting, then launching the game and letting the game ask you to sign in can help with the extra stubborn connection issues

It is based entirely on your connection and your friend's connection. Everything is peer-to-peer, meaning one of you is hosting the game session on your hardware and if either of you don't have a great internet connection you will see more issues. In theory it should still work, but in practice there could be some issues

That could affect things. However, what Mako said can be taken into consideration. One thing to also take into consideration is the users internet speed. Their older Xbox model might not perform well if other internet devices are active.

An active Xbox Live Gold, or I believe it's now called Game Pass Core, subscription is required to play multiplayer. I'm sorry for mentioning it if that's obvious, but it has tripped up others in the past. If the subscription is active and your friend hasn't tried logging out of his account and fully rebooting his console, I would have him try that; it works more often than not

So in relation to this my friend has Xbox ultimate and we have tried all the fixes and he still doesnt have the option to invite friends. He even tried playing with friends on xbox and it does the same thing. Is the issue that he is on xbox one and not x/s? or is it a connectivity issue based on internet

It's not a restriction based on it being an Xbox One. The Xbox One version can absolutely do multiplayer.
As long as time and time zone are set correctly, there shouldn't be any issues. I'm going to do a quick search for other possible problems because I may be forgetting a specific fix.

If your friend hasn't yet, they could try the old uninstall and reinstall. It has fixed things in the past. I've gone back through a few years now though, and for the most part Xbox consoles haven't exhibited as many issues as PC, and we've pretty much covered all the usual suspects

Hello everyone, I'm a brand new drg player and have been experiencing constant crashes on Microsoft store version of the game.
If someone can help me solve this I would very very grateful, as the game is unplayable right now.

system info

Pc specs are:

• AMD Ryzen 5700x CPU
• AMD 6700xt GPU
• Two 16gb 3200mhz sticks of Ram (making a total of 32gb of ram)

Potentially important other info:

• My graphics driver are up to date

• I used Razor Synaps software. I heard this can cause problems with drg, haven't tested yet.

• I'm running ultra settings on drg

• My thermals are fine, my PC is running really cool and the frame rate is well over 200fps.

• No PC overclocks enabled

Symptoms

• When the games crashes, it's as if I just closed the window

• No error code

• Usually no warning, however sometimes the game stutters for a second before crashing

• if try to open the game immediately after it crashes, it often crashes immediately again while loading

• crashes occur between every 20 and 40 minutes

• Crashes with slightly higher frequency when its starting VS when the game is fully started

Things I have tried

• I have verified the game files

• I have reinstalled the game

• I have restarted my computer several times

• I have reinstalled and updated my graphics drivers

If anyone has any recommendations or experiences with crashing, please let me know and don't be afraid to ping me.

Do remove, or at least turn off/end all of the Razer Synapse software and processes and try again.

Others have had issues that went away when they got away from Razer software/drivers, and the devs themselves acknowledge that Razer drivers can cause issues and recommend not using them

Then that leads me to suspect it's something about their network setup. Most folks having connection issues like this are on the Windows PC version, where more can break.

For the most part the Xbox console versions just tend to work as long as the previously mentioned things are tried. It might be something related to how their network is set up

I'm not aware of that being an issue, but you can try it. DRG is a pretty small install, so it generally shouldn't be too troublesome to try in on the internal storage

It depends on the hard drive you have. I have a 8 TB external but can’t play games from it because it isn’t a SSD. Like Mako said, DRG doesn’t take up a lot of space, so it’s best to keep it on the internal drive.

I think it has something to do with how DRG implemented its p2p via the xbox network, World War Z seems to need port forwarding and is using another network/direct connect.
So believe it is more of an issue with the xbox network tunneling/Teredo than DRG, which is out of our hands sadly.

Double check that you're renaming both the file name and file extension correctly. The Windows file should have no file extension and should have it's file type simply say "File"

It's not too difficult, but the default Windows settings don't do you any favors by hiding the file extension part of the file name. And, occasionally the Steam version will be on a more advanced build and trying to move a save from Steam to Windows won't work

As for backup, just make a copy of your save file and move it someplace safe where you won't delete it accidentally. And then, every now and again, just repeat that (copy and move someplace safe).

Yeah, that's way too much to lose! Having a local backup is never a bad idea, but the Microsoft version and the Steam version both make cloud backups automatically. You're pretty well covered even without making a manual backup.

In general, some people may have favorite builds, but honestly it's probably going to be different for everyone. Personally, I think the best thing to do is build how you'll have fun playing. And it also often depends on what Overclocks you have available.

For Engineer, I like every single primary and secondary weapon available. I really think you can't go wrong, especially in terms of secondary weapons.

I'm sorry I can't offer anything specific, but I really do think the "best build" varies from person to person. I have the most fun when I try things out, see what I like, and then improve upon that as best as possible

I will say that the Shredder Swarm grenade feels to me the best choice in terms of grenades. And I don't like to have to micro-manage the turrets too much, so I only bring one and spec for ammo and damage

Question! I downloaded this game for free because of Game Pass Core (or something) a couple of weeks ago. But I usually don’t mess with those games and any that I would have I already bought. DRG was the first I had an eye on it hadn’t bought yet. So for two weeks I’ve been enjoying this game.

My question is- is anything I download from the Game Pass Core for free on a trial? After a certain amount of time will they take it out of the Core selection and then I have to buy it to continue playing?

I’m mainly asking because I wanted to buy some of the DLC to send to fund to the developers since I downloaded it for free and have been enjoying it a lot the past two weeks. But if the Game Pass Core is essentially on a time trial, I’ll just skip the trial and buy one of the deluxe bundles with the full game. But as I said, I don’t know enough about the Game Pass Core to know which decision to make.

You already checked in the in-game Options menu? Go to Save Menu, and select Restore Save. That will let you load a cloud save. That's the only place for saves besides the local save file.

Sessions sometimes desync and become unjoinable. Have everyone exit and relaunch the game, or at the very least select Disband Team from the menu. This should refresh everything.
Sometimes it helps to fully reboot your system as well
