Buying a beer from Lloyd will always pour 4 regardless of player count
I had a thought; more event exclusive drinks, i have a few ideas:
- Astral Ale [Every Lunar New Year or Comet/Meteor event]
- Ghouly Pale (ectoplasmy drink) and Moonlit Red (a very red beer) [Halloween]
- Peppermint Stout (green, red and white swirly foam)
I don't know know if this has been said but can we search modifiers for missions and the missions that have those modifiers can be shown beneath the search bar or mission search or however it could be used in the future please (sorry if this was confusing)
Steve's owner at full health can take the red sugar as a reserve, without slowing down movement, and restore his pet Steve's health with a long press of E.
There should be a pirate hat for the game.
A very, very small chance for a barrel to appear in your drop pod at the start of a mission if you put one in. Perhaps there could also be a higher chance if you’re playing solo
Armor/weapon paint jobs based off of the Abyss Bar beers + Bosco can obtain Lloyd’s colors as a paint job(?)
Some concepts:
Company-issue:
Oily Wenge (a brown-black mixed paintjob, perhaps there could be a pattern to it like how the Oily Oaf menu logo has)
Glyphid Gore (Bright-green paint scheme with a brown similar to Glyphid carapices as its secondary color, in reference to Glyphid Slammer, could also have that neon pink in its menu logo as a third color)
Leaf Lover (a generic green and blue paint job, like its logo. Doesn’t exactly have anything to it.
Specials:
Backbreaker’s Blue (A deep blue and indigo paintjob, with black as a third color. Would feature a rocky texture, kinda similar to the Desert Road paintjob that Gunner has)
Neon Morkite (A primary color like a very dark teal, like how morkite ore looks in the dark, with that soft dim glow. Accents would be a lime green (like the one on the menu logo) and then white for a third color)
Gold Pot (A primarily gold paint scheme, with a deep green for accents)
Rock Red (A simple red paintjob, with a strange, slightly yellowed ‘white’ color, like ivory as a secondary tone.)
Mountain Russet (A rocky textured, primarily russet colored paintjob paired with a dark grey tone.)
Crusher Crimson (Midnight black, and crimson, with ‘breaking’ patterns sprawling across the paintjob.)
Slayer’s Lifeforce (Bright red and a deep, almost strangely blue shade of black, with gun metal grey as a third shade. Features a red splattering outline pattern across the black parts of whatever item this paintjob is equipped to.)
Rusty Rat (A red/orange and brown paintjob, with a black rat footprint pattern that sprawls across the red/orange parts of painted items)
in addition to this: special diolouge from management for managing to get the barrel back into the drop pod at the end of the misson
Only complaint about the Lunar Festival is how weak the fire crackers are. Bigger explosions and knockback would've been fun. Other than that and the lost shipment of decor, I would say it was another successful event. Rock and Stone!
Unsure if this is a bug or not so Im tossing it here
Fix the interaction between Shield Battery booster ( Scout plasma rifle) and the manual heat dump upgrade.
As of right now, manually dumping heat will activate the Overclock effect that collapses the shield.
I think this should not happen as a means to negate the shield collapse, OR let it proc the AOE on shield break effect giving it more utility
When you complete a mission and have a steeve he can show up in the end mission screen like dorettas head
Having Plastcrete Catalyst overclock equipped as engineer on the Shard Diffractor should alter the color of the platforms(maybe more orange than yellow) for teammates to know they may occasionally explode mid fight.
Seeing how fun playing with the firecrackers is, I would like to be able to "rent" event spacerigs to play around with my friends. Basically, allow us to pay X amount of resources to have a decorated spacerig for let's say about a day or for X amount of missions.
Stunner lead storm clean oc
Increase stun chance by 25%
Increase stun duration by 1
Add another stationary type ennemy like the cave leech. Instead of being on the ceiling it could be a on the floor like a sarlacc (star wars) looking thing that you could fall in if not careful with maybe tentacles (basically a living trap mouth monster on the ground). There could be a bunch of theses in a hole or a ravine so you would have to be careful to not fall in. This would add more environmental hazard to the game. I find these types of enemies really interesting
compressed nitra shard
new mission modifier: Exemplimentry Compensation
after some bullyingnegotiation with management, we've managed to strike a deal, any additional mission related materials gathered will now be worth ten times as much...but just for this mission... and only this one...maybe
You can ride Steeve if you have max level beast master and you can take him up walls and onto ceilings
Beer: Dwarf Courage: You will deal %50 more damage from all types
A shooting range to practice weapon upgrades and different weapon mods/loadouts with damage indicators for each type of difficulty bug.
Will help in figuring out how much ammo/damage you consume to kill one type of enemy
Enemy fighting range simulator (practice fighting different types of bugs)
SSG INDICATOR SSG INDICATOR
special lines for compressed gold with bosco. I would think due to the friendship the dwarfs have with bosco they would say "Bosco! Were Rich! Grab it!!" something along those lines sharing the excitement of finding compressed gold with a fellow college
How about additional payments if we overdo the mission quota? Like if mission requires to collect 7 aquarqes, but we collect 9, it would be nice to get extra cash for that
Better mission XP payouts for Deep Dives. A single mission with two red modifiers shouldn't award me more XP then a three mission, multi stage, Deep Dive with multiple different modifiers and objectives
an Idea that's most likely bad and unbalanced but i feel could work. Micro Clocks.
A new clock type that allows customization of aspects of your firearm to pair with overclocks or to be used by themselves. such as for The Lok having a microclock that allows you to adjust the maximum number of lock ons you can have at the cost of max ammo, mag size, and damage at a minimum of 5 lock ons to an additional 5 on top of Aperture Extension. Having more lockons means a bigger mag but ammo stays the same and damage decreases, lowing the lock ons reduces max mag size and ammo reserve but also raises max damage
This I feel needs to be fleshed out more and balanced but the idea is there.
Beer (not a special of the day) : Sludge-Lemonade (Strong)
Logo: Brighty yellow biohazard sign with inscriptions on all of the sides detailing "The best sour beer" and etc.
Mug design: yellow barrel shaped mug with glowing biohazard neon brand on it.
Effects: dwarfs move faster for a short period of time, constantly making angry comments about how this beer is extremely sour. except for driller. he loveees that kind of shit.
Dunno it this wouldnt be just annoying af but.
Nitra could explode under certain circumstances, allowing you to set DIY traps, you could ig make like chain reactions And such too. Ofc the nitra would be gone after exploding. Like uhh.. trading instant dmg for potential ammo
Make the Qronar shellback acid spit slightly louder, it seems to blend in between other sounds very easily when you are in combat unlike most sounds
Cheaper beers for the dwarf who mines alone, or like TheLastLoad said, have Lloyd always pour 4
Allow Engi to exclude a target from his sentry's targeting by using the Waypoint button while pointing at an enemy. If the enemy is already marked, the button instead clears the exclusion. This would allow engineers who are paying attention to their sentry to prevent it from dumping tons of ammo into targets that won't take any damage.
SpringLoaded Ripper should count as Melee Damage
a passive that removes or lessens the movement slowdown after pickaxing an enemy. Perhaps a passive perk to go with an active perk, my mind goes to adding it to berserker but also wpuld be op.
A post-plague weapon that uses a genetically altered version of Rockpox to infect bugs, inflicting damage over time with the chance of causing blisters - weak points (maybe when the 'disease meter' fills).
The dart gun can, for example, create blisters at the point of impact, but is balanced by low rate of fire and/or magazine capacity.
Spray type weapon can create blisters on any part of the body, which is what balances it out, because you can't always reach blister right away, additionally it may have a short range.
Upgrades can give additional 'symptoms' such as slowing down or berserk mode, when infected bugs will attack others.
Add a button to Pour a beer out. Could be the pickaxe button.
(Those Carpet Cleaning fees will be coming out of your paycheck if you keep that up)
This way you could pour a beer out FOR KARL!
Or dump a stinky Leaf Lovers that someone ordered. (With special lines of course.)
Deep Rock Galactic x Team Fortress 2 Crossover
Valve has always been very lenient with some of their IPs being represented in other games, from big studio to small indie teams.
It could be a neat collab to have the DRG devs reach out to valve to allow them to, for example, put 4 or more cosmetics themed around the characters that fit their DRG counterparts most in the game like a Engineer themed cosmetic for, well, Engineer.
A Scout themed for Scout.
A Heavy themed for Gunner.
A Pyro themed for Driller.
The most fitting type would be a head cosmetic for each.
Whatever they do, it would be a nice and fitting thing for the game and could serve as a bit of marketing for DRG too, as it could draw potential TF2 crowds that didnt have this game on their radar.
TL;DR: TF2 themed cosmetics in DRG.
LMG gun platform (Sentry)
Likely a T4 mod for balance.
-Smart Targeting System-
(+) Sentries will now prioritise targetting ranged attacking enemies. (Includes, Macterra, Acid Spitters, Web spitters, and Menaces)
(-) Reduced damage (or fire rate)
Random chance for the nemesis to rock and stone when you emote
Retirement: When you’ve reached max promotion for a class you can go to your room and call Mission Control or Management and you can retire which means you can’t do a mission unless you go back and call them again and come out of retirement and you will passively earn money and beers will get you drunk easier
Dunno if this has ever been suggested, but what if we could run double secondaries or double primaries for our loadouts. (If double primaries is too strong overall it could just be applied to secondaries)
Example: having the shard diffractor AND the grenade launcher equipped.
Obvious trade off would be that ammo runs out quicker on average (depending on the weapons, of course) but perhaps there should also be a system in place that if you run 2 of the same type of weapon the second one gets its mag size and damage nerfed by a %, so as to not be too strong overall.
This could also be tied to a limited time event, so it would keep it from getting stale but allowing players to mix and match and try different combinations.
I see Macteras spawn on the edge of my screen all the time. Maybe make it so that they spawn behind a wall of rocks or some sort of solid surface, already agro'd onto you? They are fast as it is, so I'm not sure it would upset the flow of the game too bad
the mactera spawn thing but also nadocytes they pop in right in front of you too and it's really jarring
a little tweak for weapon terminal. my terrible photoshop. criticism is welcome.
the point of all this - make the screen less clutter so player can clearly see weapon model with no obstruction in front of it. also imagine how much cosmetic stuff will be in the game years down the road and how big of the window will be paintjob section in it's present form.
Beer Of The Day Concept: Stoutspresso
Description: This beer has caffeine in it, so we’re sure it will put a spring in your step! Management will not be responding to questions about the counterintuitive effects of mixing a depressant and a stimulant.
Effect: +15% Move and Reload Speed
we need more themed stuff. Pirates, Bandits, Mafia, Cowboys, etc. also a Sombrero and Poncho would be cool.
let the Nemesis teleport to be a bigger threat. Also maybe a flamethrower attack or similar with its tendrils so it has some range, or a slam like the other appendages
New players should get a warning when trying to join a Hazard 5 game. Most of the times they don't check the mission difficulty or the lobby name even.
The drinking speed is randomized and not allways the same.
Further-> option to "drink aginst" someone.
Like a rock paper scissor tool to decide things with.
(With a full beer, press E on someone with a full beer. That dwarf can then accept to see who chugs it quicker.)
It's simply just 50/50 who is quicker.
Make the Crassus detonators don't spawn right beneath the landing zone of the drop pod, there should be a minimal distance of 30 meters, at least, for the spawn of any big enemy.
In the last 2 months it happened twice to have the drop pod landing on a Crassus, killing it in a very bad open spot, far from any walls that could have turned to gold if i had the chance to bait the Crassus into smaller spaces (or digging since i'm a driller main), ultimately loosing any advantages that i could have got from this very rare enemy (a lot of gold easy to mine with epc mining and c4)
(I faced this problem with just some crassus detonators but all rare optional enemies shouldn't spawn near the drop pod landing zone because not every player is ready (or set up in terms of equipment) to face these threats and some players simply don't want to face enemies like betsy or the prospector or that plant boss which i dont remember the name)
Make the game not reset when i try to join a lobby and fail, PLEASE
To Salt Pits Enjoyers point, how about the Engineer being able to ping targets for our sentry guns to attack. Like how we can ping Bosco to attack specific targets
Radstorms for the Exclusion Zone. Basically the rain event from the Fungus Bogs, but with a slow ticking geiger counter sound shortly before to announce its approach, and a fast ticking one while it is active. The rain will slowly deal radiation damage to you while you're caught in it, unless you seek cover from the rain.
#drg-chat message This
dwarves pinging sentries should occasionally call them a dumbass
Allow us the ability to feed Lootbugs. Hold E on one to give it 5 gold or nitra, whichever you have most of, and then it will follow you around. It will then eat up the minerals you mine, causing them to multiply by 1.5x. After you think it's eaten enough, you can then... y'know...

Oh, and yes, you may get a "refund" of your fed minerals if the lootbug is... unsatisfactory.
More minibosses that are built into the seed of the stage.
We already have korloks, but it would be awesome if we had one where there was, say a Mactera Hive that would release a dangerous mactera boss when broken or a mini dreadnought egg to hatch open and find a new type of glyphid
Zipline overclocks (if they ever add them):
Iron grip (Balanced overclock)
You and teammates never fall off the zipline no matter how hard or how much you're hit
No speeding when going down ziplines
Slower speed while on ziplines
Recycler (Balanced)
Holding E takes down zipline and adds it back to your reserve ammo (honestly think this should just be a normal mechanic for gunner, class emblem if you agree)
-1 less zipline in reserve
We need Voice DLCs instead of skins. I would love to give you my wallet for Scottish accent voice lines. Jargons and slangs even.
Supporter Upgrade DLC should not have 67% off on sales. It defeats the purpose!
very rare big lootbug that can drop a heavy mineral when popped gives a random heavy mineral with varying levels of rarity (eg. Jadiz, Enor Pearl, bittergem (we're rich!), compressed gold (we're rich!), error cube)
oh and you can stand on them as they waddl around
Accessibility option (or just make it the default) when shields are down from being damaged, a sound plays continually until they have started to regen
possibly also: a sound plays when the shields start to regen
voicelines for pinging materials in the walls
"Lads, in the walls, a Jadiz!" "Enor Pearl hiding in the wall here!" "Why are there weird looking crystals here? (error cube voiceline)"
"In the walls! Compressed gold lads! We're rich!" "Bittergem in the walls here!" "Aquarq here in the walls."
stuff like that
Suggestion for the Autocannon & Minigun (Specifically Variable Chamber pressure upgrade for Minigun and Feedback Loop for the Autocannon)
Have there be the Skull breaking icon show up at the bottom of the screen when you reach full Stabilization on Minigun / Full ROF on Autocannon to denote that you've reached full Stabilization/ROF & are receiving your damage boost.
The Damage Resistance at full ROF upgrade for the Autocannon does this with the damage resistance icon, might as well let the damage boosting upgrades do the same thing.
netcode needs a serious tune-up. simple things like throwing flares can take as much as two seconds to happen on a mere 100ms ping and that feels like a poor playing experience
Make Driller's drills work on the floor around the Ommoran so that we can make Springloaded Ripper trenches along Doretta's sides. It's the absolute perfect spot for that grenade and we can't use it there since mining out a trench in that material with a pickaxe takes too long and often messes the shape up, preventing you from being able to make the Ripper loop.
maybe this exists already but hear me out: cosmetic overclock weapon frameworks
The turret arc god has had enough.
Why in god’s name is the req for electrocuting your turrets RNG??????
While this doesnt happen all the time, there have been cases where im fricking point blank mag dumping my turret and it still doesnt elec.
And this is still with maximum stubby elec chance
This can literally fk u in the butt so hard on haz5+ in the middle of swarms.
Make it guaranteed pls.
All it takes is a second of no arc for 30 bugs to swarm your face in certain situations, and it’s all bc RNGesus says 🖕 you
More symbols when saving loadouts. Maybe the same symbols for the mission. Would help when join others games and selecting loadouts
I feel like something similar to Gwent from The Witcher.
The game of Gwent is a card game made by Dwarfs to play in taverns and for weary travellers. It is well liked by those who's homes are the tavern as well as those in high power and wealth. So this would be a game liked by both the miners and mission control. The game could be played between players or on solo loading bays could be played against Lloyd. To start the game, you would bet a certain amount of minerals such as bismor, jadiz, and enor perals and it would agreed that the winning player will take the losing player's bet as their own. This could be nice for a long play session and just want to take a fun slightly productive break without leaving the game and losing interest.
Now, there are a lot of games that could be used here and there could of course be multiple. The one that I was thinking about was the game of GO which I recently started playing as the pieces used by each player are called stones. You could have a similar game to Gwent. You could even have something similar to pokemon or Yu-Gi-Yo and to unlock cards you can use something similar to scrip. Again, making sure that there are no micro transactions. All of your progress both recreational and progressional, is all based on your effort and skill. This makes room for more people, all having to work and having fun, making a brotherhood to last a lifetime as this game intended. With the games, there should be cross table chat as well to allow casual conversation whilst playing or discussion if mission or deep dive to come.
add MSAA support
It would make me extremely content, if each class had its own default voice just like now, but there was a possibility to change the dwarf's voice to that of any other class in the wardrobe (maybe even a pitch slider). I'm kind of annoyed about my scout looking like he could smash an oppressor with just his bare hands having squeaky voice. I know it would cause some confusion and destroy the original feel of the game, but it would allow players to customize their dwarves to a greater extent.
Pettable mini mules
pet mini mule as just a thing you can take with you into missions for fun
It would be nice if random dreadnought spawn would prevent glyphid spawns
granade that is just a beer
Being able to dance with your friend by pressing 'E' on your friend when the jukebox is on.
OC for CRSPR that allows driller to make short duration flights when shooting in air (flamethrower jump)
Hawaiian shirt from roughneck should keep its floral pattern with other color schemes (everything else about the game is perfect, this is my only problem)
would like to see something to balance the barley bulb shortage - either of 1. making different brews of the day cost different hops (not only barley bulb) or 2. adding a hops trading terminal or 3. increasing the barley bulb spawn rate would do imo
Add a strawberry milkshake to the bar.
A line from Mission Control that alerts you when you’re the last dwarf standing.
The Phase Bombe detonation time should scale with difficulty.
There is no point in making them do more damage in higher hazards if I never get hit by them
Ghost ship games if you could get cross play to work it would be amazing because me and my friend on xbox is realy into feeding glyphids led at the speed of sound while joking together but we are restricted by the lack of cross play so if you could try and work that out it would be awesome
Pressing the reload key while holding the laser pointer should play a "Ready!" voiceline. Maybe also a specific one if you're pointing at specific things (refinery, minehead, doretta, mule when primary objectives are complete, etc). "r" is already universal, but this would go a step further and allow you to declare you're ready without text chat.
My brain has been requesting for me to write the suggestion and I caved: PAINTABLE/SKINNABLE. DROP POD.
Hey Guys i have an idea for a Passive Perk so tell me what ya think. So Basically the perk would be like Vampire but not health it would give back ammo probably called scavenger or something. And the bigger the enemy the more ammo you got back but it would be in % so Grunts would give back 1% starting in tier one and this perk would go on till level 5 .i think that would be quite cool and quite fitting what do ya'll think?
I just wanna suggest a kinda Mark 2 version of the Scale Brigade Headpiece we're the back is covered up and makes it a full helmet, instead of just a mask.
Don't really know how it would work and if its been suggested before, but I feel like a mission type thats sort of a combination of egg hunt and elimination would work really well. Maybe have it so once you get all 4/6/8 eggs it spawns a sort of angered glyphid brood mother or queen. Theres always that sound that plays after you mine an egg that always sounded like thats who/what would be behind it.
radioactive bulk detonator
If possible, I'd really wish the Monochromatic paintjob was updated to make more goggles in the game have the glow effect. I was really looking forward to using it with Goggled Headwrap, only to realise it doesn't work with it once I unlocked it.
special dialogue at the ends of missions by either the dwarves or mission control if you leave a dwarf behind that shows how much they regret it.
something like: "we left someone behind, Karl would be ashamed"
or: "Stop the drop pod! we forgot someone!"
Themes for the space station? Customizable drop pod?
Big ass railgun for gunner which can fire 20 shots before overheating that penetrates bugs doing massive damage with a middling fire rate about that of the thunderhead autocannon
Van-helsing style drum mag auto-crossbow for the scout because it sounds cool
some ideas for mission control dialogue
after the escape drop pod lands:
"i am contractually required to give you a chance to make it out. don't waste it."
entering a mission when wearing the mask of mission control (i forget what it's called)
"Is- Is that supposed to be me? they got it pretty spot on..."
entering an elimination mission
"you've been tasked to kill developing glyphids inside large cocoons. we don't know what they will be, and you're going to keep it that way."
an overclock for the GK2 that makes it burst fire but gives it a significant damage boost.
A pickaxe skin selector for the whole pickaxe. I dont like clicking on each part if I want the "Ice" theme pickaxe. know what I mean?
Dark and light blue hair color
Idea for Tier 2 Mod for Driller Satchel Charge:
Heave-Ho: Holding Fire while having a satchel charge equipped allows it to be thrown a short distance like a carryable object.
A way to change the pitch of the voice on each dwarf, and an option to make a dwarf mute
Pressing Q with a beer in hand pours it out on the ground instead of deleting it. Can be used either to pay respects to fallen comrades, or to show your utter disdain for Leaf Lover’s Special.
Compressed variants of item minerals (croppa, phayzionite, etc.)
Pinging could have unique dialogue alongside ”w e ‘ r e r i c h”
Please make it so shredder drones, turrets and Bosco don't attack hoarders until a player has provoked them. It sucks when you're minding your business and hear the hoarder shrieking before it burrows into the ground and you had no idea it was even there
Would be nice for the swarmers from the engy grenade to target and attack the caretakers robotic arms like the turrets do.
New weapon paint set: surplus equipment
Would essentially have the same palette and textures as most of DRG equipment(think like the supply and drop pods)
Armor, pickaxe, weapon paintjobs that match each other
For example: boot camp pickaxe paintjob,
Chillaxe weapon paintjobs and so on
I suggest we create a chat where all you’re allowed to say is one of the “rock and stone” lines
More flare gun damage.
It's a harpoon afterall
a vote system to ready up for events. solo queing can be really annoying when someone starts something before anyone else is ready and get team whiped after 30 minutes of work
mutator: reinforcement
a new and improved betc stands in for molly. Moves like molly, only following you/following the beacons
mutator: graveyard (or another name relating to soldiers having died)
there are multiple betcs and mini mules you can fix, the mini mules have their legs buried relatively close and give resources when repaired (maybe more than on salvage to incentivize repairing them?/ maybe they have the region's crafting materials also?)
mutator: unstable environment (only applies to sandblasted corridors, magma core, and glacial strata)
sandstorms, blizzards, and quakes are longer and more frequent.
normally they can be ignored but environmental insulation should be considered.
I want to pick which victory poses are in my shuffle list, I like having variety but not a fan of some of the more basic ones
a chance to find buried barrels during salvage duty missions from dwarves who kicked one too many barrels into the drop pod and launch bay. managing to get one into the drop pod at the end of the mission gives you special mission control dialogue of him being confused as to where and how you found a barrel on hoxxes
A bit more lines to that
Leaving alone: "What have I done..." or "Open the God damn drop pod! I won't leave them!", "I won't forget you, brothers..."
Mission control: "(In a sad voice) I'm sorry, miners, but mission first", "Another rescue team to send...", "His/their family(ies) will not like this..."
OC for the flamethrower, that allows you to shoot a concentrated beam of fire (kinda like a gas torch), that has little to no area damage, high single-target damage and that slows you down. You activate it by pressing middle mouse button (If it's not occupied by any other action, then it's just any other free button)
Pls a shooting gallery in the station I know it was planned at some point, what happened?
A beer for the space rig named "Midas touch" that turns your dwarf into a gold statue which other dwarves can interact with and say "He's rich"
Allow us to bring barrels on mission by kicking them into the drop pod
Beer: "Roasted Grump"
2 starch nuts
Safe for work potency.
Mug: standard office mugs, comes with randomised pictures and texts each time you buy it ("I hate Caretakers" for instance)
Voicelines: grumpy
its 1/2 coffee, 1/4 beer and 1/4 energy drink.
Have the big blue Molly join the team once in awhile.
customizable molly?
a difficulty six like modified mission on the mission select menu where its guarenteed harder than 5 but you cant just choose difficulty 6 as a difficulty
If the Abyss Bar ever hands out food, call the Update 'Wok and Scone'
feature to let you compliment fellow dwarves so you don't ask the gunner if he's compensating for something after resing you
pipeline animation for when your repairing it
Additional voicelines in a more casual tone for mission control when speaking to teams of promoted dwarves.
To show an improved familiarity/friendship with veteran dwarves.
Voice commands? You would press a hotkey (the Y button for example) and a list of pre-defined voice commands would appear for you to choose from (numbers 1-5). Pressing a number would prompt the dwarf to say something out loud for others to hear such as "we need a resupply", "we need some light in the cave", "we need a platform" etc. This would be much faster than typing in chat.
Change the Heightened Senses warning gradient to show up in different patterns depending on the enemy, like in the top corners for Mactera Grabbers, the sides for Nemesis, the bottom for Trawlers, and the classic straight above for cave leeches.
After promoting a dwarf you're given a choice between two weapons for that particular dwarf to receive an overclock for.
a higher chance to acquire overclock cores for classes you have promoted, rather than classes you haven't
New mission type where you need to construct base (Idk, come up with a plot reason), but players will be given a blueprint that they need to move construction parts to a dedicated zone, and build frames, walls and defences, all while getting swarmed
A few new mission Objectives/types suggestions:
- Kill x amount of y bug (ex: kill 20 acid spitters).
- Get to the end of a bug infested cavern for extraction, you'd fight your way through hordes of bugs to get to the end.
- Carry an object(s) to a designated location ( a heavy object like some type of resource nugget or a device or whatever). Like the escort mission but with a twist.
- Tower defense - survive x number of swarms.
- Ride on a device on rails through caverns that doesn't stop moving, survive and protect it until the destination is reached.
I know that this gets suggested constantly, but I've got an actual DESIGN idea for a possible "shooting range". Essentially it'd be a lot of low budget, easily replaceable stuff, paper popup targets at close, medium, and long ranges, moving mactera targets, and three special targets: one to simulate armor, another for weak points, and one for testing elemental/status effects. One important note is that you would access this through a shoddily constructed airlock, mostly for the purpose that if something happens the range can quickly be detached from the rest of the station.
a grenade that also atracts bugs to it when it explodes. maybe it could be full of exploder fluid
Would love to see anything that involves more mining.
Maybe new mineral types that require specialized pickaxe mods and/or tactics to extract.
More "hunts" where you see a vein, and need to work as a group to dig/follow it for a while before finding the deposit.
Geodes with surprises in them? Huge fossil skeletons worth credits/money that need a team to extract? Cave areas that aren't on the map until found by exploring and following clues?
Give the dwarves more reasons to explore/dig in the future!
special mission(assigment) for becoming max promotion for each and one for becoming max on all class
(Probably already suggested) but let the gold skin color change the skull in the skeleton crew Headwear
New mission
Genocide
Management wants to set up a new outpost on hoxxes. It's your job to clear the area for them to work.
X amount of glyphids and eggs spawn. You must search and kill them all.
Located around the map are seismic wave generators that lures large waves of them to your location for 2min.
This will improve the game by allowing new players to better learn combat. Some players just want to kill without worrying about other objectives. Some players like to just clear out areas in a completionist manner.
I dont know if this was posted before but i would love it if there was like a hidden Bonus if you would save Dorreta like a Performance Bonus but it doesnt Give you one always. Only a 5% chance of getting it or something thus encouraging people to save Dorreta
A new glyphid dreadnought that is a rockpox dreadnaught
Carpet Bomber for the autocannon should be buffed. Compared to splintering shells, it only has 2 more damage and .3 more aoe but with the added loss of 7 direct damage. Overclock felt useless last time I used it 😦
Killing a dreadnought on a contagen spike respawns it as an infected dreadnought but weaker and with obvious rock pox weak points that you have to break atleast once before you can shoot its weak spots (only for hive guard and basic dreadnoughts) this way its more optional and a fun way to change up the mission or you can give a random chance for dreadnought eggs to spawn them in on elimination missions
I also think we could have a merger mission type with a care taker that has been infected like bet c is.
How about a gun, similar to Junk jet (launches different rubbish taken from the Spacerig, like mugs, noodle chopsticks, wasted pieces of metal, etc.) from Fallout 4 for driller/gunner? (class icon for which one of 'em)
Beer Drop Pod 🍻
You can call in a drop pod during a mission (similar to the ammo one but delivers cooled beer) at a lower cost than ammo drop pods. The beer drop pod provides 1 beer for each dwarf and gives a temporary boost, like health regeneration for a certain amount of time for example. If you drink a seconds one (because there aren't enough players or someone doesn't want to drink) you get additional boosts, like bigger shield capacity, or higher shield regeneration rate, etc, but well, you get a bit drunk if you overdo it 😆
Beer Run mission: you and the boys have stolen a drop pod to recover a shipment of beer that fell off a freighter and landed on Hoxxes. Mission Control is appalled but reluctantly helps you as usual.
just a dum idea for a new warthog OC: flechette shower
unstable
+12 pellets
+1 penetration
-5 damage
balanced
+3 pellets
+1 penetration
-2 damage
make the drilldozer just move faster drilldozer missions are so slow
A (possibly rare) voice line should play when calling Molly; "I Better Call Moll!" - As a joke reference to (Better Call Saul) .
tiny suggestion: some more small QOL voicelines for things that happen in the game. for example: dwarves occassionally commenting on how slow the zipline is while ascending it, or dwarves expressing gratitude that they landed on an mkII engineer platform instead of something that wouldve hurt
Small QOL suggestion: Could resupplying restock your flares (2 or 4).
I saw that this was suggested once or twice in 2018 but thought it was worth asking again.
Yearly dlc pack bundles with all DLC skins released that year
New voiceline when pinging a Nemesis: “THERE’S A NEMESIS IN THE PREMISES!!”
Could we make cargo crates a SMIDGE more common? Been playing for like 200 hours and all i got is 7 paint skins
I think it would be really neat if 2ndary collectables could show up in any mission. Like even if the mission is to grab boolo caps, you can find some gunk seeds too. Just so the maps feel more organic? Otherwise it's like, why would this plant only be in some caves? They don't have to be worth anything, just part of the ambiance
An active perk players can use that when triggered, has the player play a sort of "taunt" voice line to get the attention of all the bugs. Afterwards, for a ten second period, all bugs only target that player, has a limit of 2 uses per mission with a 5 minute cooldown to prevent overuse.
I would love to have a secondary mission where we have to get big red ruby orbs (same model as Enor Pearls), because we need more large sized minerals to collect
Names for ore:
Crymson sphere
Ruby Orb
Atlas Tear
Scarlet Ball(because R&D weren't wanting to be creative with the name, lol)
The ability to whitelist a certain amount of victory moves, such that one of the selected few are played at random at mission completion
I feel like someone might have already had this idea but I think having a mini event or so for loot bugs would be cool where if you kill X amount of loot bugs, you will pop into a mission with a new loot bug enemy that randomly evolves when attempting to pop a loot bug. No idea what this new enemy might be but the idea of having updated back story about how it's a new apex predator in response to DRG actions and giving it high risk high reward would be cool.
Give tools overclocks or more mods! For example: Scout flares do some damage right? Why not using them to blind enemies? Like flying bugs or regular bugs think about it!!
seeing the large blue mule used in missions would be super cool, slightly easier to uptain pickaxe parts, and the err cube should give out a like radiation effect when held, and we need a shooting range on the space rig please. otherwise that i really do love the game ive speant alot in it after all, money and time wise.
(if devs for drg read this i would love to talk about it)
Glitch/greenscreen space type frameworks and paintjobs that you trade error cubes for. Prob a ♻️ but I've got like 40 silly cubes that aren't being used for anything
Concept Idea Dump for Hurricain Missle Launcher
Over Clock idea: M.G.P.S / Missle Guided Ping System
Pros:
-Increased fire rate (+1)
- Huge increase in ammo (+144)
- Significantly larger magazine capacity (+36)
- Increased missle manuverablity
-Missle Downpour (+2 direct damage for every 5 missles. Violent increase in missle speed) - Pinging System Modifications
Cons:
- Extremely slow missle air time except for single fired missles (100% projectile speed reduction)
- Reload Time Increased (25%)
This idea is designed to rain down a cloud of missles in an area to eradicate every bug, big and small, in the area you ping. Pinged enemies will function similarly as pinged terrain. The first ping is where the Cloud will quickly drift towards in any direction.
Lootbug Mimic. Looks like an ordinary lootbug, then puts out long legs and chases you
Idea for a new tool for driller:
Basically instead of normal drills, they’re drills that shoot out like missiles. Basically digging a straight line for a long distance. They can also tear through enemies.
Downsides: They can only be used a few times before needing to resupply. And you can’t turn them. They’re for straight lines.
How about "Control points" sort of missions? Here's the drill (
he-he):
Mission control found an enormous cave full of resourses and it would take too much time and too much risk for only 1 squad to mine them all. Instead, you'll have to secure a certain amount (from 2-5 depending on difficulty) of rooms. To secure the room you'll have to:
- Set a trasmitter and call mission control, asking to launch heavy-caliber turrets
- Hold on in the room against attacking waves, because the trasmitter makes a lot of noise
- The arriving turrets will help you destroy any enemy left
- Move to the next room
During securing you can not leave the room, otherwise the mission will fail
Another idea for a driller primary: A rock cannon. Basically, it scoops up a chunk of rock in front of you or below you (or wherever), grinds it up and compresses it into a spherical shape, then shoots it back out as a large projectile. Kinda like a big ball of sludge. Doing massive damage and stunning, but taking a while to get it into a sturdy state.
How about this: the statues in memeorial hall change their colour in direct correlation with the dwarves rank. Bronze dwarf - bronze statue, silver dwarf - silver statue and so on (if they don't do that already). This way we will see our progress not only on the workers' icons, but in the Hall as well
cryo cannon oc that turns driller into gloomshroom from pvz. range is massively reduced but you shoot all around you. cold radiance but on steroids
Remove "Distance" from lobbies list, show the Ping instead.
Bucket skins.
I know this has probably been submitted before (so no need to say ♻️ ), but I want another way to use perk points, like converting it into player exp (not dwarf exp)
Umm fellas,Should I use DX 12 on GT 1030? I've lowered every other settings still getting massive fps drops
The game’s soundtrack is added to the Jukebox’s list of musics
Serve sandwiches at the abyss bar
the jukebox music added to the OST!
Sentries on Dottie
Why not add a radioactive detonator to the radioactive wasteland location. This is logical because the game already has radioactive glyphids suiciders, and as we know from the bestiary, giant detonators grow out of them.(I translate this text with google and maybe it had mistakes)
Ammo upgrades talk about sandwich storage..
How about some sandwiches.
A waiting emote now sits down to eat sandwiches.
I know some people don't like bugs but the Lootbugs are just cute af. So I would love to have a Lootbug garden in the space rig. Where you can raise your own Lootbug or if personalisation is weird, then just to hug and snuggle with some of these loveley creatures. You may get some recources out of them if you care for them long enought (bonus if you log in every day). It is also a relaxing field for the hard workers of the company. I mean every "good" company should offer some psychological stress relief.
So I thought: what’s fun about deep rock galactic
The obvious answer is killing bugs with friends and drinking in the abyss bar. So why not max it all out. Limited time gamemode where bugs have less health and players are loaded with guns and health. To make things more interesting get tons of enemies to come at you. Beer works as a way to restore health and get insanely drunk. My suggestion of the situation is that one of the dreadnoughts grew up to it’s final stage.
adding a deepdive icon on the loadout selection, so you can make a loadout just for the deepdives with the
(in black ofc) on it
I think it would be nice for every mission type to have setbacks that can happen during them, as a way to modify the mission and make it play out differently from other missions of the same type. I feel like right now, every mission of a given type (Salvage Operation, for example) always play out the same way every time (fix mules, find pod, stand next to thing, connect power, stand next to power, leave).
I think it would be nice if random setbacks could happen during those missions. For example, during a Salvage Operation mission, maybe one of the leg is missing, and you have to find a kill a hoarder to collect it and fix the mule. Or maybe the drop pod is extra broken, and you need to perform extra repairs on it to fix it. Or maybe even the power thing is defective, and you need to call another one and set it up while fighting the swarm. Stuff that adds variety between each playthrough of a given mission type. Obviously, these shouldn't happen every single time you play that mission type, but I think it would be a welcome change from time to time.
a gravity grenade for one of the classes that lifts up bugs and dwarves in a radius and then slams them into the ground for fall damage, but you could also time it to get up to high ledges without being pulled into the slam. OR take out the slam completely and just hold bugs or dwarves in the air for a moment to combo with something like fat boy pgl or satchel on a big swarm.
Add morkiite status for the memorial hall which unlock after your 3rd promotion
Escort mission where you build the track could be a cool idea.
A mix between escort and on-site refinement
Alternative companions to BOSCO for solo missions with different strengths and weaknesses. For example, here are 4 I can think of based on the classes we are given, any can be selected at the same terminal you can upgrade BOSCO at.
Engineer: Spider-Droid
Slightly brighter light, wall-crawling, no grabbing/carrying/mining, Has mini-platforms it launches on pinging surfaces, slightly less damage than BOSCO
Scout: Quadcopter drone
360 degree light, can grab objectives such as fossils off walls, no attacks
Gunner: Cyborg Dog
Fixed amount of rockets, cannot be directed to target enemies (auto-targets “threats” based on proximity to player, including harmless creatures) , can run on walls with spiked boots, WILL DEAL FRIENDLY FIRE, stronger weapon than BOSCO
Driller: Armored Glyphid
No light, has a mini resource pouch that can carry 20 of each resource, petting gives resources, larger dig radius, Impressive melee damage, but no ranged damage
Archaeologically mission, bones, old tech, buildings, must be found uncovered and defended to be studied
We gotta have a tf2 skin dlc
I know its currently a bug that promotions reset the weekly core hunt, but that really should just stay in the game in some way. I started played and have dumped +200 hours into the game and honestly one of my main reasons to play different classes has been to promote them to get more overclocks. In the process ive experienced good things with other classes i thought ive never was going to use, and all because of the this bug. Its not a secret that there are too many overclocks in the game, and for someone like myself that joined recently, its just painful to have my progression timegated behind weekly assignments. Even for me that just got to 3 bronze stars in all classes, it starts to get pointless to promote a dwarve. Dumping a lot resourses just to get an star on your character icon its not something that would have kept me playing. In the other hand reseting my weekly core hunt has given me a new goal to look forward and promote all character giving all of them an opportunity to be used. This needs to stay in some form. Earning a promotion still requires time, but at least i have a real reason to play outside of doing weekly assignments or events. It feels nice and it should be considered.
Hopefully this isn't a repeat but I think it'd be neat if Steeve could rock and stone back when you saluted him, even if it was a bit haphazard and wonky it'd be like "look master I'm just like you!"
You are now able to copy loadouts. Very annoying having to manually do every single thing on every new loadout especially regarding cosmetics.
Sorry to interrupt you all. I was wondering what kind of weapon could be added next and I tried to create these, I imagined the "Nikola's Fryer for Driller" (TW: my writing and art skills are trash) What do you think of this ?
Giving the option to replace secondary or primary with a melee.
Context: so I was doing my haz 5 max drunk missions as I usually do and I had a horrible idea. What if there was more melee options other than pickaxe. So here I am.
new mission modifier: Lootbug infestation
gold and nitra veins are far more rare and and lootbug spawn rates are doubled (or more) to get stuff like gold and nitra you need to kill lootbugs.
There should be a "Mimic Lootbug" that should be added to the game. Like in Dungeon games where some loot chests appear but are actually monsters that attempt to kill the player. It should be a rare version of the lootbug that is completely indistinguishable from normal lootbugs. Upon receiving damage from a player it will begin attacking any player that damaged it ignoring all else. It should be reasonably fast, slightly faster then a character normally sprinting, have a somewhat higher maximum health then normal lootbugs, and should have powerful quick attacks.
The thing should look preferably creepy when agroed to a player.
do you think you can make this guy? he even looks like he has a old fashioned sniper rifle.
mutator: surplus equipment
all equipment can overheat. Equipment which already could overheat now explodes when it does, mostly setting you on fire
Integrate Miracle's Magnificent M.U.L.E.S into base game (maybe remake it or some kind of that) where you can put custom mule skins, materials and gear depending on biomes and other things.
mods for throwable flares
engineer should be able to mount turrets on drilldozer
A little content thing I just thought of while writing about dwarven antics: REVOLUTION IN CRIME
Add the option to visit a Miner Vault, which contains our crafting materials strewn about and further in, contains ingots of gold, extra mined morkite and dystrum [that could serve a future use] ingots.
There could be a secret slot on Molly's underside that Engineer built onto her in his free time where dwarves could deposit the accepted minerals to essentially commit corporate theft, which would end up in the Miner Vault. Like with the Compressed Gold and the Mushroom, Mission Control could have some special lines for when this happens. Why do I bring this up? There could be some shady business in the Union, like a shadow market for the extra minerals you've mined that you ended up not using in the mission and/or secretly stole from Management and DRG as a whole. You are paid handsomely for the minerals inside the Miner Vault you are willing to sell that Management has no idea is on the Space Rig. However, if you sell recklessly or for too high a price and Management could catch on, resulting in a 'Mandatory Overtime' assignment; a 5-7 mission assignment where you are paid 30% of what you normally get. Another thing to point out is a new title system could be implemented that goes up the longer you remain uncaught by Management. The higher the rank, the better your chances are to finding better deals. [NOTE: It doesn't have much to do with Hoxxes, but it would give the devs a chance to further flesh out their world and give the players more incentive to carve out more cash for themselves, if ever more uses for credits arise in the future]
The ranks go as follow:
1-3 = Fledgeling Crook
4-7 = Aspiring Criminal
8-13 = Shadow Hands
14-20 = Rock Swapper
21-27 = Adept Rogue
28-36 = Uncaught Prodigy
37-46 = Rig Hopper
47-57 = Hoxxesian Heister
58-69 = Master Thief
69-75 = The Greedfather
Bring Lloyd on missions and feed beer to the Glyphids.
Unique keybind for the dash perk i keep fatfingering it. Same with the shield overcharge when someone simply walks infront while itneracting with somethign else
tldr: Separate keybinds for perk abilities they keep activating unwanted
A basket hat that references Ghost Of Tsushima with a description that says “What the? I can’t see out this bloody thing!”
A shooting range to test out the effects of different weapon combinations/ overclocks
Xynarch Charge Suckers appear on Rival Tech bots sometimes, making them hostile to normal Rival Tech as well as you, I feel like it could be an interesting route
punchable elves
nameable loadouts
A perk that lets you get over 100% drunk
New type of macteras: Bloodsuckers. Similar to Earth's mosquitoes their main objective will be sucking your blood 'til there's none left. They come in 3 different variants:
- Bloodsucker hatchling - weak and relatively small. Fly around the dwarf and stab him with their long noses
- Bloodsucker - fairly big and formidable. Fly fast towards you for a ramming strike. After being shot goes away for a bit, however comes back with the speed of a bullet to grab an unfortunate dwarf to suck some of his blood. When bloodsucker sucks your blood it regenerates it's health, renders you immobile and you have to button-smash Mouse 2 to beat it away with your bare fists
- Camo-bloodsucker - similar to a regular bloodsucker, however has a trick up it's sleeve - can become barely visible. Can be detected by a recognisable sound of flapping wings (sounds like a helicopter) and becomes visible right before the attack
A dedicated reset button? right now there is only the button to cancel the mission and if you use it you have to see the mission failed sequence
Heightened Senses should be reworked to where you have to mash A/D to break free, but you have to do it more each time and can be done theoretically an infinite amount of times
petting molly
To make it so friendly glyphids don't attack glyphid hoarders until you do
holding down the Salute input holds the pickaxe out at the end of the animation, so we can show it off to other dwarfs
We can throw at each other with snowballs during Yuletide or firecrackers during Lunar New Year. Imagine having a countbar with counted hits, misses and being hit by others. You could make a true fight in the lobby where f.e. the dwarf with lowest points buys a round. I dont know how the counts could be reseted tho
new weapon for driller, weapon firers supper heated frying oil that cooks the enemy, so you can eat it for hps
mactera bloater. mactera that. Pukes on you and blows up when killed
Make Steeve target what you ping so that you can at least try to keep him away from exploders/detonators
Give stabber vines health bars
more loadout icons thats it
when pinging something, the hand holding the laser pointer should have a small animation, like pressing a button or gripping the handle.
just a small qol thing from me :3
ya'll totally need to do a pirate themed season! with an anchor pickaxe skin! and a pirate ship escort alternative to the drill dozer! it'd fit great with the Ghostship Games!
The statues in the memorial hall should change based on your promotion level, going from rock-bronze-silver and so on. It's pretty boring that they go from rock to gold so quickly, and it'd be a satisfying progression to see them at diamond for example. I can't imagine this hasn't been suggested before but I didn't see it in the past couple months of this chat
Idea: 'Mostly Intact' Armor Set
When going on a dreadnought hunt, MC says try to come back with 'all your limbs intact'
We've already got several hats/headwear that showcases prosthetic parts...
Suggestion: Set or armor(s?) for each class that replaces either arm or leg (or both) with prosthetic / cyborg parts.
Multiple armors for a class would replace different parts depending on armor. (ie. one armor provide prosthetic arm, wile a second replaces arm and leg, etc.)
A couple of suggestions to improve the discord
Split 'lfg-modded-steam' into 'approved' and 'sandbox', or move 'approved' into the normal 'lfg-steam'
Add a second set of pods with unlimited/increased cap if more than one team wants to play a 'increased players' team
Kick afk people out of VCs if they're not in the afk VC (one in 2 one-person-pods contain an afk person and its infuriating joining, expecting conversation and recieving silence (especially if its the abyss bar vc))
We need more beer recipes! I suggest adding a 'craft beer' system. The fun-beers can go in the Season 4 cosmetic tree and the stat-beers in the overclock station. The 'craft beers' can be a alternative choice at the abyss bar.
Recipe ideas: accuracy mod, ammo mod, thorns perk as a beer, jumping mods, permanent dash, glowing/flashlight mod, thorn-stun mod, thorn-snare mod, Nitra harvest mod, armor breaking mod, heat resistance, ice resistance.
a slight tickle animation for shield link's active ability
Add Overclocks for BOSCO
make hipster an unstable overclock that converts the m1k to full auto at the cost of no more focus shots, because carpal tunnel sucks
All this bunker talk, and I get an idea on a new enemy type.
Spawner:
Take a Praetorian design. One side heavily armored; other has a major weak spot. Now take the armored side and put a proboscis/tube thing. Tube thing spits out grunts and/or swarmers.
Give it AI so it tends to smash itself halfway through a wall, and continuously spawn stuff until killed. Make one of it's weaknesses that it's pretty immobile and mostly unable to attack on it's own.
Adjustments: (Other stuff base concept may need) Maybe weakspot being above/elevated so it's shootable in open terrain from the front. As well as an AI that also plops down in open terrain to disgorge where it is instead of trying to find walls with no dwarves behind them. Maybe what it spawns needs to be a unique grunt/swarmer variant and/or have a spawn limit.
Goal: Enemy type that can add a second flank when dwarves are embedded in a narrow area/bunker. Forcing dwarves to respond by movement to approach it's weak spot or dealing with its spawns directly. While being pretty easy to deal with in open fights.
How about emotes that we can use during the mission? Like playing a little tune on a harmonica, eating a sandwich, sharpen your pickaxe etc. These would be obtained in matrix cores or cosmetic events (lost gear, cargo crate). In order to use them you'll press "V", if you want to "Rock and Stone!" press "V" again, if you want to choose other emote press 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on
how about a snack bar on the space rig with special unlockable snacks like the glyphid burger or the mactera taco?
Idea - Special Beers:
E.S. Pilsner
Allows players to see the whole mission map when pulling up the map display (even areas they have not explored) - with items of interest to the primary mission highlighted. Such as liquid morkite wells, mini-mules, etc.
Does not reveal secondary mission items or special items such as Golden Rabbit Statues.
Strong - 20%
The following - are not meant to be beer, so would require different appearance in the bar. Or renamed to be types of beer/ale
** Repairman's Rum**
Makes build and repair tasks take 20% less time.
Tasks include building pipelines, repairing Dotty, activating uplink and battery pack on salvage missions, etc. But it does not apply to building sentry guns.
Strong - 28%
Gambler's Gin
Randomly applies an effect of other special beers.
Strong - 28%
Comrade's Vodka
Take and deal 15% less friendly fire damage - stacks with Friendly perk
Strong - 28%
I just joined the server and I don't know if this has already been suggested but, I think it would be a neat idea to have customizable skins and paintjobs for the utility style weapons, grenades, and maybe flares. It would be nice to have a whole loadout that matched.
The animation for pressing a button could be improved by the dwarf winding back a punch and pounding the button in as hard as they can.
maggots and swarmers should go splat if you fall on top of them
More players missions (not talking about the mode) but like a event
There should be an achievement called Lloyd's special where you have to complete a mission whilst fully drunk
Industrial sabotage variation:
-Just one power station (or none)
-stronger caretaker(uses abilities more often, deals more damage, faster exploding phase bombs and a bit more health)
Beer: Radioactive Rockpox: let’s you swing around the Space Rig for 45 seconds with Rockpox tentacles: And when swinging you can have a voice line like “Spider Dwarf, Spider Dwarf!”
There could an actual Mission Control Guy sitting in a room with various monitors (maybe with random DRG playthroughs playing) which is split in half with a counter. You could throw paper balls found somewhere (trash can, counter) at him for the "funnies" and very disappointed and sarcastic response from him would play.
He could be used as a way to obtain special contracts in future updates? Or to drive the narrative a bit? Maybe he could give us some job that's not entirely the main task of a mission (like getting parts of glyphids for blackmarket sale/DRG using them illegaly to build somekind of entity/machinery?)
Or he could give us a long assignment to complete for a cool beer recipe (of course it would be his own hooch)
That gives us nightvision but also makes the screen black and white.
Of course to meet him in person you would need to gain his trust (level up to like level 50 or promote your dwarves)
Buff Bosco's damage against cave crawlers and buff his speed.
It's kinda sucky to get caught by a cave crawler in solo missions and watch Bosco takes years to get to you, only to deal an extremely low amount of damage over time, costing you a self-revive each time. Solo missions are entirely dependant on you not dying and this kinda ruins it.
Some more keybind option.
For example: Instead of hitting 3 for traverse and click to use, holding a separate button will swich to- and use it - then swiches to last weapon when released.
Separate buttons for perk useables.
Some guns have a charged shot feature- how about a charge button to keep normal shots as activate-on-click.
Use examples:
X us your traverse button. While holding the button, The driller, platform gun, grappling and zipline wil act as if you "swiched to traverse+ click& hold" releasing X releases the traverse and swiches back. Or you hold X and click for more platforms.
Sure, consoles need multifunctional buttons but why restrict it for everyone.

Scout stole my round, I think we should euthanize him and spread his gear out to the other classes. The benefits of this would be my beer gets stolen less.
Paints for traversal and utility tools, so they don't stick out like a sore thumb from cosmetic loadouts centered around a specific color.
give gunner a flashbang or some other type of stun grenade
My name is Steve and it is very confusing when my friends constantly talk about Steve the bug. Could we have the option to set our own names if we want via a menu option? So it would always be set to the new name and not break how the game plays.
someone talk about this in the game? we need fix butter feets its frustrating
Also have a fifth player slot that can only play Molly.
Lootbug and golden lootbug masks.
still want petting steeve to heal them.
I was thinking of an idea for another Dreadnought’s name.
Dreadnought Eradicator.
Ok! Suggestion: playable bugs.
Not finalized yet but instead of another dwarf, you can play as a Steeve. But you get more variety than just three types.
You can play as an Oppressor at max. Different ups and downs n stuff
Lootbug swarm modifier so there’s just more loot bugs or another one that adds more golden loot bugs
I have a Warning suggestion,
Mule Malfuction
On any missions that the Mule comes with you, the Warning can appear making it to where Mule cant come and will instead spawn 1 or 2 excavation pods that you have to deposit at instead.
The pods will have the extraction button when objective is complete, and when the button is pressed it will return the pods
Make the mineral sell and buy prices at the mineral trade change daily please, similar to slime rancher
The ability to change the base color for each dwarf (ex. Gunner is typically green, right? What if I wanted to play a blue gunner, or a red gunner, but didn’t have the paints necessary to make them fully blue or red?)
new voltaic smg overclock: ArcGen Removal(Unsstable
-reduces the electricution chance to zero
+25% fire rate
+2 damage per shot
-50% base spread
An idea for a new enemy. Small bugs similar to the size of swarmers that will also often appear in groups just like swarmers do. But by default they don't attack but will try to flee instead when they get attacked or a dwarf is getting to close. Similar as the huuli hoarder does (they don't run as fast as swarmers or the hoarder ofc.) However if they don't get killed for a while they will pupate. An other while later they will hatch again and turn into something that will actively seek out and attack dwarfs. With ranged attacks and quiet high default health, but with a weakspot that's easy to hit and has a 3x multiplayer.
Gameplay-whise this would be give the dwarves the option to try to kill them in their larva-form (AoE damage should kill them all quiet easily). If they don't get noticed the dwarves still have the chance to destroy the immobile pupas, when they stumble over them during their pupation time. But once they are hatched they are best dealt with individually with some nicely aimed shots on their weakspots, since they most likely aren't all grouped up together at that point and have a higher base health, too.
Having turret skins for engi would be really cool
A TV screen in the bar showcasing all the new dwarven hits such as: How I rocked your stone?, Yuletide Hunters, The Mining Academy and many more! İn short just a little decor players can interact with.
Not exactly suuureee if it has been suggested before but consider the following:
Salt crystal class variations.
Why? Red and white work only for engi, which is well, 1/4 of the game classes?
I'm French. Sorry for translate ^^'
--- MOLLY MODULE ---
With perks points ⭐ , player can unlock modules to upgrade Molly.
Host (or players) can activate a mod built into the Mule. Can only be used once per mission (or with a long cooldown).
Shield Fields Module:
Generates a spherical shield field at its location with a radius large enough to accommodate a full squad. Duration XX seconds.
Ammo Dispenser Module:
Deploy (or call) a supply pod near Molly.
Defensive Module:
Activate the automatic turret attached to Molly to fight with the miners. Duration XX seconds.
Acceleration Module:
Increases Molly's movement speed by XX%. Duration XX seconds.
Heat generator Module:
Generates heat in a small radius to reduce cold status to miners. Duration XX seconds.
Spotlight Module:
Activate the spotlight located on Molly (as in the Extraction mission) to illuminate the surroundings. Duration XX seconds.
Scan Module:
Marks Praetorians, Warden, Menace, Oppressor, Detonator within Molly's range. Duration XX seconds.
Pharmacy Module:
Heal XX of health to the minor who activated this module.
Victory pose: unfolds a chair, sit and eat sandwich
Edit: maybe slightly different each class like what the chair looks like and types of lunch
After we get max promotions on any class, can we choose which color we want for the border for that class portrait? I don't like the red color, and rather have gold or diamond.
I'm from Brazil, sorry if I writhe something wrong
Alternative tools for each class
Miner:
Instead of the two drills you can use a automatic drill, you put it on the floor next to where you want to mine, activate it like other equipment, use a small controller with a map like the normal map from "TAB" but it only show in front of it and you select a point where it will stop, but it have a maximum distance for balanceament(have fuel so it can't go for to long) and is't as fast as the standard drill
Gunner:
Instead of the horizontal zip line he will have a vertical one that can be shoot on ceilings to mine some awkward places, get easier to go thru vertical maps and escape some swarm trouble(you get out if take damage like the standard zip line)
Engineer:
Instead of the terrain launcher it will use a drone that can carry one miner our 4 if they lose some weigh(joke), you control it when above it pressing the red button and changing to his controls instead of your miner, it stop moving if the fuel ends, if the miner controlling it get to much damage(like the zip line) he will swap back to his miner for defend himself
Scout:
A jet pack that with fuel but it will charge over time, one of the upgrade can make it hover for sometime for mine on walls and ceilings
I don't know if anyone will read this but an "apply for all dwarves" and/or "apply for all loadouts" button in the pickaxe customization would be a great QOL improvement
have unlocks from Lost Gear/Crates show up at the end of the mission screen with all the rest of whatever youve gathered in case the player forgets what they got from it due to being in the middle of a mission so theyre reminded and dont have to search through their stash to figure out what it is and if they want to use it
another alternative could be a list of recent unlocks so you can keep track of your newest finds
add a secondary "color" option for classes with an equivalent for each paintjob, for example, maybe give engineer purple, the scout a kinda teal-ish color, idk
if not, just give us some purple armor paintjobs
some sort of aura around sentries that gives us an idea, when placing, where itd be able to see/not see
It would be nice to have some developer feedback on the PleaseFix issues. The site seems pretty cool, but if there is no response from the devs the reports appear pretty pointless even though they can take a lot of effort to make. Any comment would be appreciated, from simple acknowledgement, to questions to detailed explanations why certain bugs happen or why they could be difficult to fix.
an achievement for solo with Bosco but "never use Bosco for anything" maybe call it something like "OH YEAH I FORGOT YOU WERE HERE"
Make it possible to put foreign objects such as cups and firecrackers into the feeding port of the mineral trade terminal.
I think as a fellow Role player that it would be great that : @ Dirty Diggers and all the "Syndicate chapters" got quest that suit them and their title.
Or is this Chapters discription just for jocking around... ? It’s unclear.
I m a dirty diggers and finding that, i have to do the jobs of the Cave Crawler, iritate me a lot ! (seriously I love digging any last of minerals I came across).
I do choose how i wanted to be "helping" my fellow dwarfs.
But went the quest arrived, it’s awfully mixed up. (When I started playing it’s was the same problem, not the same way)
Like killing Creature is for those warrior without "empty pocket" as we got. And then they "Cave Crawler" Have to collect minerals for crafting as we should? is it for real 😭 ?
Because description of any Chapters doesn’t fit their goals here.
Hope it’ll be seen has an way to help building a best lore-friendly "Chapters" or at least clarify their use.
Add new "Goo Sack" voice lines with mission control
If you spend a hour in the abyss bar mission control will come down to fight you in a boss fight
Add unique voice lines for interacting with cave vines/tentacles, silicate harvesters and those floating things from Dense Biozone.
Also add cave vines/tentacles to the bestiary

Make the skin for Glyphid Slammer toggleable when you have the supporter edition - I like both designs but it's a shame to lose one when you've got the other 🍺
I'd like armor for the dwarves that looks like it's made out of cardboard boxes or different flavors. Gunners would just be a big huge solid box he sticks his head and arms out of, whereas scouts would be minimal box
Introduce elite loot bugs that can eat Mollie and wreck the mission if you're not paying attention.
Or an elite grabber who can grab Mollie and take her away
Petition to add the griddy to the dances on the decoys, or the jukebox
Being able to have your helmet a different color than your armor
a mini drilldozer, if you rescue doretta a certain number of times you can build her a new body, main function could be digging a tunnel directly to the drop pod after completing a mission, secondary functions could be providing oxygen and mining(this robot would only be available in solo missions)
Elite Lootbugs. They're faster and have more health as any other elite enemy, but they also eat and drop more minerals
Please... After a Dwarf has been promoted for the first time and Deep Dives are unlocked for that class get rid of the promotion assignments thereafter
Reasoning:
-
These account for 2 hrs of gameplay every time they come up, unlock no additional functionality, and force the player to complete specific mission types to resume progress.
-
These assignments restrict the player from earning experience on that Class until they are completed. It is not a fun mechanic, it's just plain annoying and gets in the way of someone breaking the seal on feeling like they can select any mission they want to.
-
A Dwarf's ultimate goal should be to be able to select whatever beer/mission/class/environment combination they feel is most profitable and/or fun and these assignments just get in the way of that entirely.
If this has been mentioned already, I apologize - searching this channel for the topic "Promotion" has 24 pages of results and I didn't feel like reading them all.
Please get rid of promotion assignments after a dwarf has been promoted. They are just in the way and not fun. I'm happy to pay the fee, but very much dislike having 2 hrs of my time forced to be spent on specific missions every time a dwarf is up for promotion. These assignments are not Rock & Stone.
a tesla grenade that functions similar to the 4th grenade for gunner in terms of placement. It would stick into the ground and arc out onto enemies for slow and electrical damage for a limited time.
Better weapon progression.
From re playing the game I realized that you don't interact with each weapon mod for new weapons nearly as closely as the default weapons, and I feel like many people lean on videos and guides a bit too much when the game play should be teaching that more (not bad if you do tho, LazyMaybe representation), me being apart of that group. So two ways I've thought to make progress more intimate, easy to implement, and radical
Just lock every mod tier behind your level + 1,2,3 etc. A bit annoying when you wanna get your hands on a new toy and for veterans alike ( not to mention what to do with people lvl 20-25) but I'd imagine itd be easy to add and they could make it exp based rather than level based.
The radical one now. Make the license assignment for each weapon 4-5 missions long, unlocking each upgrade tier (or an assignment 2-3 missions long for each tier). And move the price of the weapon onto the assignment instead, so it's like you're paying for weapon qualification. However probably don't lock the player into only using that weapon.
We need a Wario mustache. A good zigzaggy downward upward mustache.
use the same system the boltshark does to handle overclock ammo types to give the bulldog some different cylinders for ammo types
Make it so that Molly wont go up supply drop holes and make it harder to find the drop pod on longer Mining Expedition missions.
glyphid mimic - a strong but little bugger, mimics an ore deposit or a plant and when a dwarf is nearby it attacks, dealing a slasher+ damage and slowing the dwarf down, also makes sounds of something more powerful, oppressor, detonator, korlok (how is it spelled?) or some powerful enemy sound.
New drink: Praetorian Pilsner. Players who have the drink’s effect release a toxic cloud around them that damages bugs when they are downed.
Back with another weapon concept, this time a primary weapon for Driller.
the "Arbalest" Tesla Bolter
"Out of all our unconventional weapons, this one takes the cake. R&D took some ArmsKore gauss cannons and modified them to shoot lightning along with metal rods. They've been loaded with barbed projectiles that can arc lightning from rod to rod."
The Arbalest is an incredibly versatile heavy weapon, capable of taking enemies out at range along with stalling and damaging hordes. In order to make the most out of this weapon, you have to use a balanced mix of your two ammunition types.
- Press R to switch between firing barbed rods and lightning.
- Barbed rods deal moderate damage and can hit targets from afar, rods will stick into enemies. They are projectiles so you have to be mindful of the arc.
- Lightning has limited range but can chain between rods that are stuck in enemies, allowing for solid crowd control capabilities, it electrocutes them too.

The Frost Glyphid Exploder or "Ice Sculptor".
Habitat: Glacial Strata.
Resistances: Fire -100%, Melee -50%, Ice 50%.
Description:
An evolved glyphid exploder who miraculously survived in the cold and didn't even explode. Living in snow and ice had a strange effect on the nature of the disease, which caused explosions of glyphids. Instead of creating destruction, sculptors now create ice crystals that pierce nearby dwarves and creating the need to break them if they exploded somewhere in the passage.
(+ Concept animation
)
Petting lootbugs makes it drop minerals and if you kill it, it drops nothing after petting it
I feel flares should be able to be overclocked, like heavy flares that don’t go as far but damage enemies or unstable flares that burn out faster but deal fire damage or sticky flares that don’t bounce
“Clear notifications” button in the Wardrobe
Oh also I am not a veteran so I don’t know if this exists but it could be cool for the sandblasted corridors or really anywhere to have a ant lion type of thing as a sort of cave leech equivalent for the ground, maybe it could be true Loy neutral and eat glyphids too?
Sorry last thing, water biomes or just the occasional water pool could be interesting, may be to against the style of deep rock though
Passive Perk: Glyphid Stench: (Description) R&D have put the smell of a Glyphid on your suit! Glyphids have a 2% chance to avoid you. (Will go up to 5% when max upgraded which will be level 3)
The written chat somehow feels very clunky.
Alot of times it's not active for writing when you think it is.
Alot of things interrupt it (assignment progress after missions)
The end cart has it disabled and it generally feels unresponsive (may just be perception)
An upscaled writing box and loading screens/ end cards not overpowering it would be neat.
Also class colors for events like downed or ordered supplies.
make a special voiceline/scenario if molly doesnt get to the drop pod like having mission control sigh over having to assign another salvage mission
Strange idea - Mactera Grabbers are known to carry LUREs away when given the opportunity... so, when attacking dwarves who are carrying something themselves, said mactera grabber swipes the Aquarq/Compressed Gold/Molly(!?) away instead, leaving dwarves angrily shouting "HEY, THAT'S MINE! GET BACK HERE!"
i keep disconnecting at stage 3 of the deep dives please make it so we can rejoin
DRG action figures!
I want a bulk detonator figure. And a plushie for that matter…
allow people to still keep rewards if they disconnect, especially on deep dives
Obviously, when creating glyphs, the developers relied on ants and spiders. Among the spiders there is an interesting species - Sicarius hahni. In short, he does not know how to create a web, so he buries himself in the sand and attacks victims from an ambush. So, the glyphid-trapper that burrows into the ground and could be identified by its legs that merge with the ground. It will ambush dwarves, it would be a dangerous enemy that can be pre-generated on the level, like a cave leech.
I think it must be a mutation of the usual grunt, like slaher, guard, etc
A continuation of this one is that if you kick all kick able objects in yo the launch bay launch control will come down to fight you in a boss fight
BUCKET HAT
I wish that hats could be put on Bosco. I want to give Bosco a silly hat so he can feel included. I also think it'd be neat if bosco was at the abyss bar with Lloyd, I want to share a round with Bosco.
I'd like to see sometime a spaceship outside, a cargo passing by, some life outside.
Oh and also for a new perk a way to carry downed dwarf to drop them in safe place before getting them up, or to be able to throw wounded one in the seat for extraction, would be heroic :p
And a mini-bed for my gun in the soldier cabin 😄
Make 5% chance prospector and nemesis to drop a glass jar that writes in neon light "2 million credits" which supposedly a digital currency that rival used to pay it's robot.
When ping with control+click dwarfs will still "we're rich" and multi ping will prompt mission control to say "dont get your hopes high, gentlemen, according to my scanner, i dont think that jar has any of value in it"
If you drop, throw or pickaxe the jar itll break and disappear
The dwarfs will say "aw there i thought drg is a cheap, those poor blokes working for rival has it even worse!"
Alternate idea: 5% they will drop a slice of fake cake
Minor easter egg idea (kinda, not really): Secret spot on the space rig which is a monitor which shows the area of hoxxes that you can go to with wormhole specials, and if you get there with a wormhole you can see them (probably would be a camera or drone monitoring the area)
Fix your servers lazy geeks
Where the servers?
This is more for the server than the game but you could use "Create Event" to highlight events like the current New Year event. This is from the SoT server as a example
I might not be the first to suggest, but I wonder – wouldn't it be cool to "upgrade" memorial hall with installations of equipment and weapons, maybe some iconic gear, that are a legacy of legendary dwarves, miners of DRG corporation. And in a spare time you could wander around the hall, and read exhibit tablets with curious stories, that refer to the names and mechanics of various overclocks, or tell the story of hats and gear (why do they look like it, who invented them and why etc.). Perhaps behind the showcase window of one exhibit could be a beer receipt of Oily Oafs or Slayer Stout.
Maybe some thematic decorations all around, new posters and pictures of various dwarfs, and maybe the most important – the upgrade of the iconic "Rock & stone" and "Leave no dwarf behind" tablets on the entrance/exit.
I know it shouldn't be a top priority, but if one day we could see it, that would be so heckin cool!
Unique cosmetics locked behind achievements
Memorial hall is criminally underutilised imo 😢
That's true! It would be nice to spend some time with someone on the space rig besides The Abyss Bar
It's so far out of the way though...
That's why we gotta have a more appealing sign above the doorways that leads to it
A shrine to Karl in the Memorial hall
IDEA: An event that comes up in missions occasionally where you find an unconscious/injured dwarf. (the model would have randomized clothing/class)
NO DWARF LEFT BEHIND - event
The 'dwarf' cannot be healed or woken.
You can pick up the dwarf, placing it over one shoulder.
You cannot throw the dwarf.
Your movement when carrying the dwarf is reduced as when you are carrying a heavy object.
The dwarf's body can be placed in the drop pod (much like Doretta's head)
I don't know if this would add any xp or performance points. I can't imagine Mission Control would be happy about wasting company time/resources to rescue someone.
Maybe instead Mission Control tells you that the miner was grateful and gave the character something - a cosmetic item, etc.
But even if nothing were offered.. I would think every true dwarf would still rescue their comrade.
EVIL suggestion, add a EVIL spider in the EVIL station so that EVIL Dwarves can EVILY look at it and have EVIL remarks about the spider.
also as another EVIL suggestion, depending on what EVIL class you spawn in as the EVIL room / bay selected for you has something that is noted by that EVIL class like the EVIL gunners bay having like ammo boxes or something...
evil...
Hazard 6. Difficulty of Hazard 5.5 from elite deep dives with elite mobs enabled by default. The game is too easy
Buff the L.U.R.E, a 10 enemy limit might as well be nothing on hazards 4 and 5. It feels so much less useful than any other grenades.
I don't need to be interrupted by game every time I finish an assignment mission. Really annoying.(Talking about the window telling me how many mission I finished etc.)
It's not going to happen soon but if the devs are one day out of ideas for an insult they can call the dwarves mole crickets in some voicelines !
The mole crickets are very ugly but fascinating insects that can burrow very fast. here is a video of one (they are an eyesore be careful, especially if you don't like grasshoppers ||https://youtu.be/znYyEI35ToQ|| )
I would like a perk that makes flares last longer. Another perk idea would be being able to build the liquid morkite pipes faster and at a higher incline or be able to place them on the side of walls
If you leave or get in the drop pod with a Steeve Mission Control will say “Do I need to remind you that bugs aren’t allowed in the space rig? I’m sorry but you can’t bring it back.”
A suggestion based on a comic someone posted on twitter.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FnpzAaqakAcJhT1?format=jpg&name=large
Suggestion: Sanctuary of Steeve.
A small section added to the space rig which mimics a nest has several grunts in it wondering around that are none hostile. These are Steeves brought back by mining crews. the fun part of this would be the ability to upgrade them in some way, as this perk is one of the main ones miners take. Seriously I don't know a person who doesn't have it.
Comic source: https://twitter.com/Mick19988/status/1619733786236973056
minehead and cargo rocket should kill any glyphids it intercepts when flying away
ability to "inspect" your pickaxe and mess with it like you can other weapons
Make it so the hoarders dont disappear off the map, they just teleport somewhere else on the map
PSVR2 support would be absolutely amazing
Make the platform gun able to shoot vertical platforms too for blocking caves or making defense huts.
Possibly Personal Drones just because like haha drone go funny and they are like literally just cosmetics.
also steeve should get like a collar with a tag or somethin on it like a dog / cat.
relating to the beastmaster perk maybe inside the bay the user spawned in on the shelf or like on a hook have little collar with "Steeve" on it.
this concept art should vaguely if not barely clear it up
New Active Perk:
Vein Miner - Active: Power attacking a mineral of any kind will destroy the whole vein and drop its contents on the ground. (120 seconds cooldown)
Rework Berzerker to where you have to hold the button down to activate it and a prompt shows up (idk where but somewhere noticeable). This would help prevent accidentally activating it
I think beers should be re-worked into being a more active 1-use item during missions, with most of them granting a temp effect
I'm sure that this has been said before, but what about a tier 5 engineer turret upgrade called "Walkabout System" which slightly increases the magazine size (maybe) and allows it to follow you around like steeve (this is the main part of it).
is there a fith class in planning? something like carls cousin...the beast master?
Can we get like... A steve in the base? A little pen for steve? Management doesnt need to know we accidentally smuggled him back with us
I would like some kind of use for our ever-growing number of perk points once we have all the perks.
That or a lootbug pet you can customize
I want to suggest a ability to bring Steeve out of the planet, he is our Sunshine and I want him to not suffer such sadness when we leave him on the planet just for us to make another one in another area of the planet. He doesn't deserve to be alone anymore.
For the Coil Gun: Remove Necro-Thermal Catalyst as a modifier and turn it into a new Overclock.
Necro-Thermal Shock Catalyst:
The Projectile Amplifies the damage of Thermal Shock to targets. Killing targets with Thermal Shock causes a Large Explosion of Chitinous Gore!
The Modifier can be replaced with a Weak Spot Bonus, to go with the OC
Inverted gravity modifier
Vines or caretaker tentacles attacking through terrain is bullshit, i cant put into words how many times i died because i ducked into cover from their pew pew lasers and got stabbed through a WALL
Have GSG dedicated one day per season, entirely for developing more Smart Stout lines
quick chat so console players can actually say yes when you ask to start the objective
New Hazard concept (No idea what the name for it would be):
On any mission that has a M.U.L.E (Except for Escort and Elimination), glyphids will attack the M.U.L.E as well as the dwarves, just like with Doretta in Escort missions.
Dwarves have to stay vigilant about repairing and protecting the M.U.L.E throughout the mission, as if it is destroyed, the mission will fail.
The reason I excluded Elimination and Escort is because on elimination, Dreadnoughts would obliterate the M.U.LE and on both, the primary objectives take too much attention/focus to reasonably protect a M.U.L.E as well
A hidden loot bug on the space rig, and upon finding it you can pet it and you will say “Wait how did you get here?” “Does this mean we can have Steeve in here?” “So cute but you can’t stay.”
replace some of the barrels in the space rig with these, also kickable
they contain fuel, liquid waste, and a bit of beer
kick into the fire hoop at your own peril
crouch slide
Not sure if anyone's ever recommended a "mute in background" option... or if I've just not found it
You should be able to get like 500 XP for saving Doretta’s head lol
memes channel?
if the lithophage cleanup isnt complete but the main objective is, any remaining contagion spikes should be highlighted on the terrain scanner
nitra lootbugs with the same spawnrate as golden lootbugs but they drop nitra instead of gold
I've heard a suggestion from a person that I don't think will work but it's interesting for any possible future things to implement. Someone once said that there should be a 2nd Bosco for solo missions but it'll take both of your active perk slots or something like that
I suggest that the armskore coilgun should not have to play though the entire animation for it to count as reloaded (specifically, the part when the rear cap is just spinning shut again). Too many times I'll wait for the animation, switch off 0.2s before the end, only to find that my gun is still mysteriously unloaded when I pull it back up a few seconds later. Either that, or some kind of clearer audio/visual indicator that happens when it is actually reloaded. Most guns have a separate ammo counter that suffices for this, but the armskore does not
Cryo exploders: Plain and simple, exploders in Glacial Strata are replaced by cryo exploders which have spiky backs like the explosive ice spheres in the Strata, and they only deal a nominal amount of damage but can freeze the player at point blank range.
i suggest a Build discussion chat so ppl can discuss their weapon combos/builds
Allow us to steeve a lootbug, it wouldn't do anything, just slowly follow us around ❣️
The option to choose primary, secondary, and tertiary colors on weapons and even armor would be sick.
Inverse bulk detonator for April first.
Have to be in the blast zone to not get killed when bulk die
It makes terrain instead of destroying it
#fan-art-showcase message
this kind of pose as a possible downed anim --that is totally not the family guy death pose
New warning idea
Hardcore
All players and bugs take 15% more damage, and it takes 1.75x longer to revive
Give stun sweepers a time limit instead of a hit limit to increase usefulness in higher hazard levels
if you miss getting onto the drop pod enough at the end of a mission, Mission Control should complain to the Dwarf who didn't make it that he needs to remember to make it to the drop pod, and how DRG can't keep saying them forever.
Karl Disapprove Achievement: being left behind 5 times in a row
That's a bit much to design but I think that would a very good new mission type for the next season: basically, u know how the dwarves are mentioning that dreadnoughts that u fight in the elimination missions are "not done cooking" and mission control says that if u don't kill them now, DRG will have to shut down operations in the whole region? So let's say that it actually happens and u have a single mission in the whole region which needs u to track down and kill a single grown dreadnought.
Also tool OCs would be cool to change ur gamestyle even more, but if so they should all be balanced/unstable imo.
Ps. I know that those are both massive things to design and create, that's why i think they would make good content for the next season
Also, do the devs even read that channel?
I really think the crossbow needs more OCs because it’s currently ones just feel underwhelming/not fun although this could just be me
I know petting Steve to heal him has been suggested a lot and personally I think that would be too easy and take away from the fact that it’s in the game, instead I think it would be neat if when low health if Steve is near any red sugar he will eat it. I was thinking this should only work with loose red sugar so Steve won’t be eating red sugar you might be saving for later.
Some form of weaponry on Doretta so solo players aren't stuck having to hold e the whole game and hope for Bosco free them.
An anomaly Opposite of Rich atmosphere that would make your voice 50% lower instead.
However reducing move speed would be very much not fun so it would need some other effect paired with it.
Lower nexus hive and breeder spawn rate
There's a lot of good guns in this game. I know that. It's what makes DRG so fun to play.
The Coilgun and Cooker however, are not so good.
They are awful. Plain and simple. The concept is great, sure. A magnet-powered handcannon and a literal microwave gun. That's damn cool. The execution is however rather flawed.
They need fixes. What those fixes are I do not know sadly. I'm a gamer, not a game dev.
I do have ideas, though. One of them is likely to make Boiler Ray a base part of the Cooker. It would at least provide it with some kind of fix and also help with potential damage. Adding Burning Ray (adds heat damage) afterwards could be a good replacement as well.
Coilgun is a much harder fix though. Eats through your ammo like a damn tribble in a pantry and attempting to use it for single target is a waste of ammo most of the time.
Maybe make charge shots use less ammo in general and by default have the trail radius already be 0.8 while also buffing direct damage.
As I said, I'm a gamer, not a game dev so these ideas are bound to be bad. But perhaps it'll help fix the damn things.
edit: I'd like to see you come up with your own ideas, hm?
Please make the power drills inherit the armor paintjob, I’d love to have platinum drills or scale brigade to fit my platinum and scale brigade drillers respectively
Can we get a report for those that team kill from the drop pod just so they can leave faster if the others are trying to turn something in (like the golden rabbit) at the drop pod. Since you can't kick them once the objective is completed
after season 3 put cured rockpox terrain in caves
make bulk detonator explosions instant-kill normal glyphid dreadnoughts if they still have armor health. i feel ROBBED and INJUSTICED
New DoT "Hemorrhage". Its dealing damage twice per second and slowing enemies a bit every damage apply, but its main gimmick - its first stackable DoT.
Along with this, you can add overclock mods and overclocks to some weapons that will use hemorrhage. It should stack in a formula where each stack is slightly less effective than the previous one so that the effect would not be OP.
Overclock example:
Warthog Unstable "Harpoon pellets"
A new war crimes toy, we've changed the shape of each pellet to a harpoon-like shape to make the hoxxess fauna bleed. Although, due to the changed shape, it was not possible to insert as many pellets into one shell and damage is a bit lower
Pellet has a 10% chance to apply haemorrhage on weakpoint hit
x0 stun chance
-1 pellet in shell
-1 damage per pellet
Have Mission Control be effected by the rich atmosphere
An Overclock for Scout’s Crossbow that lets you hold two Special Bolts at once so you have 3 total to cycle through with their own ammo counts, but with halved special bolt ammo.
Or : an oc that combines all the special bolts into one but you only have a really low number of them like 3. I think that "concentrated chaos" would be a great name for it and i think it wouldnt be bad for the gk2s overclock that adds bonus damage on status effects i think it would need less ammo and projectile speed and of course to make it an unstable oc.
new mission type is Kill X amount of spiders and a spider queen, or kill x amount of spiders within a time limit and escape before the hoard kills you
If it's possible/easy to implement it would be cool to be able to wear separate colors for armor and headgear
New CRISPR overclock - Grill Em and Drill Em:
Drilling an enemy that has been set aflame by the CRISPR, or drilling ground coated by sticky flames, causes the burning fuel to wrap around the drills, creating burning drills.
While burning, your drills gain a bit of extra range and a significant amount of bonus fire damage, but will continuously gain heat until they overheat.
When your burning drills overheat, the fuel on them is thrown off in an explosion that sets all nearby enemies on fire. You can trigger this overheat early by pressing the reload button.
Add crossplay pls so i can play with pc players when im on ps4
Please, for the love of God, rework the subata.
The epc with the right build can do everything a subata can do but better, and with a charge shot for single target damage.
The gun needs a makeover, similar treatment to the recent gk2 buff
Have the ability to spectate the M.U.L.E. when downed
I wouldn’t say rework it. Just buff it
Make lootbugs immune to environmental hazards. Like tardigrades, but big, cute and filled with precious minerals.
something like that yeah. as long as it gets some love I'm fine with it
I thought of a compromise for those who want a relatively casual experience and outright downing liike something you would have in left 4 dead., as an **option **of course. This wouldn't be something I don't think everyone would enjoy, just those who want a little more challenge.
When a player is downed like we currently have they get attacked by the the bugs but it doesn't do much other than distracting them from dwarves who are a threat. Well maybe this should serve an actual purpose and cause a dwarf once they have taken enough damaged while down to get "incapacitated." This could be signaled from a different pose and different surrounding light color, like perhaps being downed is yellow and being incapacitated is red. That way it could be easy to tell from a glance the relative severity of the situation.
Being incapacitated wouldn't change too much but maybe they would require a longer pickup time and would no longer aggro the bugs as they've already been handled and still have dwarves firing hot nitra at them to attack.
I think this would also further encourage the idea of shooting the things that caused a player to get downed first rather than just picking them up while they have 10 bugs tearing away at their spine before they stand.
When you enter the pod, your Steeve salutes you and burrows away
Sludge Pump Overclock Idea: “Sweetened Sludge”
The Sludge has been mixed with sugary chemicals and now the bugs can’t seem to get enough of it, even if it harms them! Unfortunately these new chemicals make the sludge harder to pack, so you have less ammo and the pump expels more for every charge shot.
Charged Shots Lure Bugs
Charged Shot Cost Doubled
Slightly Decreased Maximum Ammo
Hey I was just thinking, is it possible to make a some sort of shooting range within the space rig where we can test out builds and weapons before going into missions ? So you can check out damage output and stuff alike, I believe that would be very useful, just a quick suggestion. (I dont know if anyone asked for this before btw)
some sort of new enemy that charges at you like a bull and can pin you. You would see it getting ready to charge and then it would go straight in one direction really fast.
Has anyone ever suggested a system to prevent randoms from calling unneeded ammo?
Either a toggle when you're the host that makes it to where only the host can call ammo. Or, maybe easier, if a non-host calls down a supply drop, just prompt the host to either approve or deny it?
I find myself plaing alone most of the time, which is fine and all, but I like to play with others too. I just often end up with people using every last bit of nitra when we don't need to, and wasting the money.
Not sure I worded my last suggestion correctly. Since the boltshark proves that overclocks can affect the weapon model, I was hoping that we can get visually different looking cylinders for already existing Bulldog overclocks that affect maximum rounds loaded in the cylinder. So for six shooter we can see six rounds in the cylinder and for elephant rounds we can see three. It's the one gun where magazine size changes are extremely noticeable.
I'm probably not the first person to make this suggestion, but I had this idea rattling around in my head for alternative Pickaxe slot items.
One could be a Battle-Axe or War Hammer that takes more hits to mine things, but has a higher base damage or the Power Attack recharges twice as fast. The other could be a Wrench that also takes more hits to mine things and has less damage than the pick, but any "repair" or 'build" type action is faster.
itd be nice if, in Solo, driller engineer and gunner got an extra Light Tool or just better flares or something
So i just had a friend test this. And not only is is true for bulks, but for ALL radial (splash) damage as well. He threw a c4 at it with very low armor hp and none of the dmg was transferred to health. This glitch does NOT occur on direct damage however.
tldr: radial damage is health gated by the dreadnought shell, even if 1 hp remains and you do 1000000 dmg, only 1 dmg will be dealt
i know for certain im not the first one to say this- but i dont think molly should be on the escort missions. and also, your map and terrain scanner shouldnt be turned off when you turn off your HUD
I want the dwarves to make snappy comebacks to Mission Control.
could we please have a way to keep the gamma settings saved? i put my gamma up bc of my tv's bad lighting (it's old), but i have to do so every time i turn on the game-Ps4
Make it so that the Error Cube will do weird stuff
For example:
It could roll around on the ground
It could follow players
Hover
Invert its own gravity for a bit
Etc.
Subata shotgun rounds
I feel like it could be fun if obscure minerals could replace morkite as the requested mineral on mining missions (ex. Dystrum, Hollomite, maybe even bring back Quantrite?)
considering morkite also likes to disappear when I only need 30 more to leave I feel like it could be a fun addition
Pickaxe skin that removes the pickaxe entirely, and replaces it with a punching animation.
A Rusty Caretaker hat that looks painful to wear. But it covers the whole head.
Xynarch Charge-suckers hat that looks like its taken over a drawf
New biome with a new type of endemic "non aggressive" type that always look for fresh flare to bury
Edit: i think it can be added to fester fleas and that's why its needed to eliminate them as secondary objective
I would love to customize and put rare items in my bed area
When getting an error cube on a mission you can find it in the space rig like you can find Doretta but mission control will say “Miners I see a blip on my scanners, what did you bring back?” And it will be flying around outside or just around the rig
Ability to remove backblade of the pickaxe entirely, so it looks more like a warpick.
No good game is complete without fishing mechanic.
more phased boss fights, please.
add sandwiches
mutator: colony
brood nexuses and swarmer tunnel spawns are greatly increased, as well as the tunnels' trigger radius
Turn off aim assist for consoles option.
I have a big group of friends that all play. So my suggestion is for people to create their own franchises(groups, unions, etc). The missions can still be 4 player but the hub could hold all your members that can drop in groups. one of the screens can show your franchise’s stats compared to the rest of the company. There can be an admin office where the franchise heads(officers) can use funds to upgrade the hub or add some stuff. The bays can be upgraded to bunk rooms and the more you upgrade them the more members you can have.
When I use bolt shark for scout I find that it is inconvenient to keep track of what is loaded in your crossbow during the battle, my idea is that you can add different crosshairs on hud depends on which bolt is loaded including fire and cryo bolts, this can make the life much easier with this weapon
The emerald green beard cosmetic should become a reward for finishing the tutorial after the pass so that it becomes what the DRG equivalent of the TF2 ghostly gibus
Add big lithophage meteor as a deep dive side objective.
To make it so giant bugs unlike regular bugs, won't keep biting a downed player, why would an oppressor be wasting it's time doing that, all it's there for really is to inconvenience people trying to revive you
How about a new area of cosmetics being your mouth, that includes cigars, sigarettes, smoking pipes and maybe some silly stuff, like bitten-off glyphid's leg, a dagger etc.
A option to skip the Overclock building animation. Please
The small chance for a wave to spawn a bunch of Steves from past missions you spawned them from with armor missing in places as if they still remember you and survived. They can fight the enemy wave with you! Steve waves would be weaker than whatever wave they are helping you fight however, but they don't care because Steve is a good bug!
Feel like this might've been said before but upgradable flares?
Like how you upgrade weapons by choosing the upgrade. So you could choose between making them stay lit longer or going brighter
How about a type of mission, similar to industrial sabotage (a battle with a giant boss), except it being a gigantic sentient rockpox abomination? I imagine it will be something in the middle of biomass from Metro 2033 and sarlacc from Star wars (pictures included)
Area balancing please for the love of god, it's annoying to keep fighting 5 aliens every minute with literally no hassle and the mission being boring, then you break into a cave to all at once fight a nemesis, bulk detonator, a menace, dozens and dozens of glyphids, 2 spitball infectors, 4 macteras, all the while an out of sight breeder is making shockers and I'm being grabbed by a cave leech which Bosco has barely enough DPS to kill provided I'm on full HP when it grabs me. Especially in the area you start missions at, nobody wants to exit into literal hell the moment they leave the drop pod.
If a Mactera Goo Bomber has decided to dispense its hellforce all over the floor and you're lucky enough to get lithophage outbreak. You can use the lithovac to hoover it up. Obviously this would only be good when you get the situation in the same place
In the miner's room, the TV screen where the perks stuff is, I think the perks that you currently have equipped should be marked in someway. Instead of going back and forth from the equipment PC to the perks PC to look at things.
Also, this is probably a known bug, but when choosing your perks in the equipment PC, half the time, it doesn't give you the perk descriptions as ou hover over them.
A halligan bar themed pickaxe set
ACHIEVEMENT: Karl Would be Proud(er)
- Complete all mission types in every biome on Hazard 5 with no downs and no resupplies.
“Karl would be baffled”
Clear a solo hazard 5 mission with unupgraded and unoverclocked weapons, without utilizing Bosco
Pickaxe Part: Great Pappy's Baby Girl
unique back-blade themed around the Bayonets of British soldiers as well as a good ol' Bowie knife
Addition to above suggestion:
"Great-Pappy's Pick" set
- Would most likely incorporate elements of different WWI/WWII melee weapons and equipment. You could have the American Trench Knife handle, with the brass knuckles, a wooden looking shaft, the front blade could look like a cross between a knife and a pick, and the backblade could actually be a similar thing to the Hole Digger. (Attached images for references)
“Karl would be befuddled”: fail a hazard 1 mission with bosco active (aborting does not count)
Have an upgrade where the driller can dig minerals. Also upgradable flares make them last longer for the first one and second upgrade choose if they are brighter or sticky and attach to walls
Someone has probably suggested this, but the ability to customize your bucket
If you put foam on a dwarf mission control will say “My god, PLEASE don’t foam your coworkers. Do you know how hard it is to get foam out of your suit?”
Achievement : loiyds favourite
Tip 10,000 credits to loiyds bar and buying atleast 100 beers
The more barrels you throw into the launch bay the more barrels you'll see floating around in the deployment loading screen when starting a mission. They'll reset to default amount after client restart (lets fill the outside space with an absurd amount of barrels until it reaches a limit for performance sake (say ~300 or scaled depending on your graphics settings))
Have you guys considered having a lil 3D model picture of the selected dwarf instead of a default picture beside player's names? It would be cool if it was still blue/red/yellow/green to signify their class. Also I love you guys ty for the best game ever made
Guys, I wanna see a new DLC with office suits for dwarves(Jackets, shirts, trousers, vests and etc). We have cellinder and bowler hat, now we need classic suits. Of course suits must be dirty and look like really old ones.
voice line for pinging an enor pearl: "I want to ponder it!"
not original, but please let us customize Lloyd so he can wear Bosco skins in addition to his hats. maybe after we tip him enough, that could be his upgrade.
I was playing with a buddy and we were donating to loid and we wondered how much money has been donated to him over all
steeve gets healed if he walks on broken red sugar
Over Clocks for Bosco
petting bosco and petting hacked rival bots.
petting molly
pinging steeve had different dialogue, and dwarves feel bad for hitting and/or killing steeve
Being able to slap Molly on the back while she’s walking to make her go faster like a true mule
A bear trap bug, similar to a cave leech. It covers a large area (around the width of an oppressor), and has a "chunk" of compressed gold half exposed in the middle. Trying to interact with this gold or getting too close to it will cause the bug to close its jaws around the dwarf, and require someone else to come save them before they get downed.
jungle biome with...
Monke bug
itd be cool if we got little bits of lore of what the fictional minerals on Hoxxes IV are actually used for, like how Slime Rancher gives the uses for the plorts the slimes produce
Holding the mark button on your laser pointer draws a thin glowing trail
can be used to circle areas of clearing/interest, direct driller holes, marking pipe line placements, etc instead of needing to ping a billion times in a direction hoping to get the message across
Speaking of, your bays should be personalized/customized, with different paint jobs or various styles of furniture. Add a couch, maybe a hammock, even buy ivory-gold lined walls/floor if you're rich enough. The dwarfs practically live at work so why not add a touch of "home" if you can afford it?
A second double hazard mission per rotation. Sometimes you clear a mission before the next rotation is available.
Make low chance (That increases depends how many barrels in the launch bay) to replace rockpox metiorite shard to the barrels. And some quote from Mission Control like - "Attention! Meteor shards comes forward into your loca-What? Barrels? That's why i told yall to not doing that."
Barrels acts like rockpox shards, but different model.
when putting a data cell in the sides of the drop pod, or another deposit slot with visible grinders, the dwarf could say something like "sure hope they didn't want that data intact" or "maybe the grinders didnt damage the data, i hope" or something liek that
Not sure if this was already suggested but what about Molly Perks? As in perks the character derives in proximity to or in relation to Molly. Maybe all characters have a Molly Slot but only the one equipped by the Host is active, reflecting their status as team leader, or the benefit applies only to that person with that perk equipped.
Spot Lights: Molly generates more light, like Scout Flare.
Motion Tracker Molly highlights approaching enemies within a certain area, even through walls.
Mineral Scanner Molly highlights gatherables within an area.
Bug Bomb Molly generates an aura that kills swarmers and jellyfish.
Sandwich Time: Being near molly increases the health regen cap to 30% from 15%.
Instead of a solid 150c / 50c conversion rate in the mineral trade, how about putting the buy/sell prices of crafting minerals in flux based on an ingame stock market?
Make some barrels explosive, who knows if they contain combustibles? If we kick barrels around enough there should be a small chance it'll explode, sending nearby players and barrels flying (management would not be pleased)
too many OCs but too few loadout slots, A to F is still not enough, If possible, can we have separate loadouts/configs on each weapons and utility tools and loadouts on character are only for character customization, that way we don't have to manually change every single thing each time we created a new loadout
Clicking the mouse wheel with the laser pointer can tell molly where to go at a distances
Have the rock and stone emote be in the left hand so you can shoot while saluting
You can interact with the fridge by the bar and you will reach your hand out to it but just before you get to it mission control will say “Dont open that fridge if you know what’s good for you!.” Or another line “Inside that fridge is what makes your beer, unless you want to make it yourself leave it alone.”
Just a little quality of life thing, i think that your Flares should automatically recharge when you Restock
Let us sit at the tables for drinks
I know it's probably been said a dozen times, but let us bring Steeve with us on the drop pod. Steeve digs and he kills bugs: Steeve is a dwarf, and we leave no dwarf behind.
Add a trash can for us to dump our empty beer mugs in, maybe even receive a credit for keeping the workplace clean+recycling (this is a leaflovers thing to do but management would encourage it)
Achievement idea:
We’re Rich!
Collect 2000 gold in a single mission
If bugs emerge from the ground, how about a bug mole worm that stays in the ground but tries to tunnel underneath you for an attack from below, similarly to the sand shark but this acts more like a whack-a-mole peek-a-boo poke its head out for a bite then retreat kinda thing. Would probably be exclusive to biomes with more organic soils
Or alternatively, it can latch onto your ankle to hold you in place like a floor leach but you can actually smack it yourself
Breathalyzer near abyss bar, interaction with which will allow you to find out the level of drunkeness in percent
I know you probably hear this a lot but
Mod support for consoles
Bethesda got it to work for fallout 4 So I believe it should be possible
(Sorry if this is a repeat)
A new weapon for Engie/Driller: a Gravity Gun-esque weapon, where you pick up an object, enemy, or maybe even the environment itself, and chuck it at foes. Upgrades could involve the speed at which you grab something, the force of the blast, or maybe even applying an elemental effect to whatever you've grabbed, like fire or acid.
This has probably been suggested before but i would appreciate it if you could rebind the power pickaxe to a different button or button combo
having it on a separate keybind would make something like berzerker a bit easier to use
also being able to rebind some active perks in general would be nice
Can we have a designated inspect button because certain upgrades and overclocks stop you from doing so right now
I've seen greybeards saving themselves from fall by power attacking the ground and catch the edge of the made hole. It needs some good timing, and it gave me an idea.
It may be either a perk, upgrade or basic mechanic.
When you are falling and power attack at the wall, the pickaxe will burrow in the rock (you'll see it by sparkles around the blade). The closer you are to the wall, the deeper burrow, the bigger slowdown to your fall. It doesnt stop fully and you will fall off after a short while.
It can be a good way to save yourself from sudden drops or slips off the cliff as any class. To avoid it being op and competing the Hover Boots or Grappling Hook, you need to be pretty close to the wall to make that slowdown enough to save yourself. It won't help you on open space or if you use it very close to the ground (too less space to slow down).
Please completely overhaul how barrel hoop works, it can be completely rigged against you.
- Streaks end once the hoop hits an end twice from the moment a new barrel is created, this is stupidly unfair because high speed hoop movement combined with how long it takes for the barrel to even land infront of you and stop bouncing around can make it literally impossible to keep up a streak
- "Misses" are calculated by whether or not the barrel gets in within a small time frame after being kicked instead of whether or not they actually miss, which can be a massive pain when you kick, the barrel is taking its time to fall in, then your streak ends and it lands in, so you missed without actually missing
- Please just make the barrel not bounce on the pad when it spawns in, it messes up kicks so bad
in Refinery mission, every segment of pipe should add to drainage timer. so it would be rewarding to build pipes with less segments.
An achievement for riding a Bet-C for a little while?
A firing range to test new combinations of weapons and overclocks would be nice
Vertical Walls for the platform gun, could be an overclock or a new tool entirely.
April fools warning
Bug hell
Bulks, grabbers, leaches, trawlers, and nadocyte flocks have a +400% spawn rate
But +200% nitra veins
Enemies should turn slower while in an ifg grenade. It makes no sense and is frustrating to trow it at an enemy just for it to instantly turn to me
Ifg should also make enemies attack slower.
I am sure this may have been repeated before but I still wished to mention it: caretaker missions could use different boss variants instead of just the current one. The mission is frankly boring due to the same pattern of hacking power supplies and fighting the boss with the same patterns over and over. Granted fighting the boss can get intense, but overtime that feeling just diminishes (for me personally). Having different variant(s) of the boss in each mission with different phases and patterns would be a good change (with maybe having a different approach to removing their defenses or main powers but that may be a tall order).
Would it be possible to see trailer submissions? With permission of course. It would be cool to see other peoples takes on the trailer
Not sure if this would be better as a mod, but like amplified caves? (Like in minecraft's world generation option), it would be a optional thing probably but idk
How about a pickaxe cosmetic bundle, that turns it into a pretzel
allow crafting materials to spawn naturally in deep dives to encourage people who have already completed their weekly one to help others
More crappy/ used pickaxe looks.
Wood and bone
It would be cool if the golden ( I forget the name ) demo giant explode creature that is gold, will freeze you into gold onto impact from the explosion, kinda like being frozen but with gold
Can we have a new channel to drg-related questions? Right now half of the chat asks it in #drg-chat (occasionally getting ignored if there are other convos going on at the time) or the #wiki-related-chatroom (which isn't really the point of the channel, IMO)
There should be an achievement for bringing a barrel on the drop pod (without mission control throwing it out) and kicking it throughout the whole mission and back into the drop pod at the end.
now that the team is definitely a lot more experienced with making armor and gun models, could it be possible to update some old models with some small dangly bits?
For example many of the the pgl's frameworks have a small hook on the front and back that are just asking for some dangling physics. The boomstick and some of its frameworks has one too. The wave cooker, boltshark has a lil thing at the back.
If the team is feeling to go extra "why are the guns so detailed" some sights could also have some light physics.
And yes, all of this would be super unnecessary, but it for sure would make the weapons feel more special.
New mission type, similar to payday 2, you can go on "Crime sprees", basically an infinite series of missions where the reward exponentially grows depending on how long you go.
I was thinking similar to deep dives, dwarves would go on a series of missions where the rewards grow over time, depending on the number of missions completed. This could involve multiple biomes too as the missions get deeper
Have 100+ perk points and working to 100% them it would be nice to see some more added to the list some that promote more unique if not chaotic playstyles would be nice.
Driller's biohazard armor has green gloves and boots with the roughneck paintjob instead of yellow to match his class color unlike the other classes. Don't know if this is intended but it looks a bit off imo
The roadmap post on DRG's official website is over a year old by now, as it's talking about the upcoming season 2 content and teases the DRG board game. Shouldn't it be updated soon?
Daily missions would be nice.
Different print patterns for the roughneck armor in other paintjobs
An option to put an indicator next to your crosshair for how far your weapon is to overheating. I know that there's a mod for this, but it's a feature that should just be in the game.
Active Perk Concept:
"Mini supplies"
Active:
When you try to call down a resupply but don't have enough nitra you will call a mini-resupply that has only two resupply slots. This can be done only once per mission.
Passive:
Called down resupply pods come faster
geiger counter when you're suffering from the radiation effect
i would absolutely love a sort of horde defense special mission. here's the idea, an underground base is under attack, 3 teams of dwarfs must play on this huge cave that has smaller branches filled with nitra and other resources. the base has a set of main and secondary targets the bugs are attacking and flanking, these secondary targets could be something such as generators that keep shields/turrets running, are placed further away from the "dwarf fortress" base and are essential to survival and once broken cannot be repaired. the main objective is keeping a Minehead safe.
back to the 3 teams, there should be enough players such that a group can go harvest nitra and some secondary objetives, another team should be able to defend the main objective and the final team will be task with gathering closer by resources, keeping the generators alive and acting as support.
hordes of bugs will come in hundreds and will be very strong, there could be a dynamic with grace periods in which dwarves set up, restock, revive and mine resources between waves.
TL.DR: a sort of MVM but with tower defense elements and L4d generators that power defenses with 4-8-12 player teams
Salute Animations
Certain pickaxe parts would do silly little animations in your hand when you rock and stone.
-techy bits could glow or move around
-sharper blades would sheen
-ice would shimmer
-the buzz saw back blade would spin
Literally pointless but I know you're all about the tiny details, and it'd be kinda neat.
Only downside is that for us fellow rock+stone spammers, the animations could get annoying if they have accompanying sounds, so if this does somehow get noticed or even considered for addition, make the sounds subtle or non existent. For our sake.
New Hazard idea: Guts and Glory
Glyphid blood can splatter onto you, covering parts of the HUD and up to 35% of your FOV (Starting from the edges and working inward).
Blood would clear over time, starting with what's on the FOV. It would also be entirely cleared off upon being revived, taking a resupply, and depositing would increase the rate of decay while you deposit.
It's not terrible, but inconvenient enough that it could cause difficulties (The largest being that if your HUD gets covered, you can't see your ammo, health, team status, etc.).
I'd smile from ear to ear if the UI for Gemini turrets got altered to make it more clear at a glance which turret you're going to be moving. I put little squares next to the selected turret in this handy mockup here but I think it could be done just as well with sound effects or by making the text colors a bit easier to differentiate between 🫡
I just think it would be really cool to see a big anti-material rifle for gunner as a 4th main weapon when and if they come.
Imagine a big bulky, loud, heavy semi-auto/single shot hitscan gun with limited amunition that hits really hard against a single target. Possibly explodes/penetrates with upgrades.
I think it would fit perfectly with the character personality, while offering a different playstyle for the class.
||and it would just be so damn' cool||
Minerals change depending on the biome such as Morkite changing in Azure Weald to be more red or attract certain plants to make it easier to see. Magma Core could have a specific ash that clusters around Nitra. And Minerals in Sandblasted Corridors being half buried in sand but they have a stronger shimmer
allow picking Ebonut from behind . So getting them after drilling is less annoying .
Also allow picking when ziplining . by holding "E" close to Fossil/Bloom/Boolo Cap . it will make getting them more convenient when playing solo and good when coop .
Or just make reversing the zipline direction be defaulted on different action that is disabled on zipline by default - like go backwards [s], so that you don't have to disable interact action
New lines when pinging the Xenofungus to add a bit of variety, though we'll still usually call it a mushroom.
"Xenofungus"
"Looks like a mushroom, smells like a mushroom."
"Too bad it's not a mushroom cloud." (Driller and Fatboy Engineers would love this one I bet)
"Even alien planets have mushrooms"
Please make cave leeches give off an actual audible sound like the Mactera grabber, idk why Bosco is great at dealing with the one we can hear and is awful at dealing with the one we can't hear.
Unique rocket variants on Bosco that mimic the different classes.
A platform rocket, a flare rocket, mb a shield rocket, and base rockets already work for driller.
This would give a solo player more options as to the talent they need in a specific mission.
Add a lava lamp somewhere in the space rig, they're nice to look at
can we choose if we use the Supporter pack mugs, or the normal ones? loved the Classic Oily Oaf mug and wanna be able to use them still.
got an idea for Supporter 3 if it comes in the future. since Leaf Lover is the only corporate issued beer left, can the next supporter pack give it some golden tree branches, vines, and other golden plant parts decorating the mug? would at least let it match the other two corporate mugs that got special skins.
There are often comments the Dark Morkite is the least used buff beer form the pool. I've got an idea to possibly tweak that.
Description: "This beer will awaken your primal miner's senses, helping find the precious minerals"
Instead of bonus morkite mined, the morkite and dystrum will lightly gloom in the darkness when you're close to them, both chunks and nodes. Additionally the bottom part of the screen will have smoke-like filter with the colour of detected mineral.
Optionally it can work on nitra too, so the beer will be useful on every mission type.
When you're close to the mineral, your dwarf will say related line so other players will be aware too.
"Mmmm, I sense crispy, CRISPY nitra!"
"clicks with tongue Dusty... chalky... marzipan? Ah! DYSTRUM!"
"[mineral] detected!"
"sniff sniff My nose recognizes that smell. Morkite!"
"Beep! Beep! Morkite radar triggered!"
It has been mentioned 13 times before here. But can we have capes? 😛 plx
A golden beard color to match the skin color of the same type, so that we can cosplay as the statues in the memorial hall.
Allow us to own a lava lamp in our cabin but make it super expensive as I feel bad not being able to do anything about the dwarves commenting on it
Unstable bulldog oc
Gunslinger
hitting 3 shots refills 2.5 ammo from reserves, resets the .5 on reload
-25% recoil
+1 rate of fire
+.75 reload
removes stun
Option to buy mission control a beer when you buy a round for a very slight upcharge (sorry if this was in here already)
+
Option to leave slightly bigger tips for Lloyd if you wanted to
It would be neat if driller could choose armor resistances that match his weapons, rather than just fire.
A campaign all to do with Karl, I think it would be amazing to play with Karl and then see who he is and what happened to him. The final boss battle could be Karl and us fighting some kind of fully developed dreadnought, after a long and difficult fight he ends up having to sacrifice himself and blow off a chunk of hoxxes, he then still lives on that same chunk right now. Just an idea
Let us recall a single sentry when using the double-sentry setup as Engineer. Maybe by right-clicking them with the laser-pointer?
Whenever somebody is wounded other dwarves should shout "Driller down!", "Engineer is wounded!", "Gunner is down!", "Scout had fallen!" etc.
Let us pet Bosco
Please change the beer in the beer victory moves to reflect the new oily oaf design.
Supporter III adds The Supporter Edition of Leaf Lover Special
Potency: Death
Drink's effects: You die.
Taste: Eye Tears of a Dying Leaf Lover
they should add a new biome where you go to underwater caves and also they should add a shooting range on the space rig and they should add more buff beers and a mission where you use the big MULE on the rig and they should add support tool skins and frameworks and also the dwarves should all have voicelines about scout being stupid 😂
I think that it would be a wonderful thing if we had custom reviving animations, to be able to choose between the regular animation, an animation akin to "Left 4 Dead", doing a weird dance or simply squeezing a small glyphid swarmer and letting their delicious juice revive the fallen dwarves
Having some pickaxe back blades able to be put on the front
Whenever scout zooms past another dwarf with the grappling hook they have a chance to say "ok spida' man" or "hey! careful you web slingin wannabe"
Lock & Load (Unstable Overclock)
Deepcore 40mm PGL
Increased magazine capacity (3 grenades)
Increased ammo count
Greatly decreased AoE damage and size
Grenades fizzle on contact with terrain
(Synergy with proxy grenades & spiked grenades.
AoE damage and size mod scaling sized back
Ammo mods scale up)

make bosco better at detecting acid spitters while protecting doretta
Map Generaton:
mission always Begins in Red rock cave system. After some Digging, you can see an enter to Factory.
Rooms in factory: Corridors, Electricity (minimum 2), Strotage, Bot making Part of Factory, Central Room, Foundation, Magnetic Generator, Command Centers, Elevators,(building can be generated at 3-10 Floors.) And Fuel Room (Driildoser Missions). Also Rocks of Red rock cave pemetrates to Building, so you can Mine Recourses like Nitra, Morkite, Gold, Red Sugar and others.
I feel like there could be more achievements, here's a few suggestions:
- fill the entire besiary
- achievements regarding overclocks (unlock 5 or 10 or something)
- secret achievements for pinging we're rich and mushroom with all 4 players
- unlocking all the special beers
- disabling gravity in the spacerig
- bringing back Doretta her head
These are just fun little things to do and reward players to unlock, explore, doing the ritual.
I personally love the achievements so a few more wouldn't hurt.
obviously they would be getting interesting names like we're used to 😄
Add a mission were we should take down a grown dreadnought.
New Perks
Example.
Grenadier: Grenadas are more efficent/you receive an extra grenade
overclocks for armors, grenades, traversal tools, and support tools, allowing for further customizability among the classes
Add the option to pick the original glyphid slammer and oily oaf alongside the supporter editions (if you have either of those DLCs). Me and many others love the original wooden oily oaf mug, we'll hate to see it go!
Add a upgrade to the engineers sentry guns that you can turn the sentry guns on and off.
It would be nice to see a (even a small) monument to Steve in the memorial section of the space rig
Add pipelines to the space rig somewhere.
A request, what if the supporter edition had another variant of the helmet that can use armor paintjob? I love the helmet but it can be hard to find armor and colors that work with it.
It'd be great if it was possible to increase the difficulty of regular deep dives to match Elite ones if you choose to, maybe for private lobbies only if the worry is dividing the community. There comes a point where you're still collecting cores but have outgrown the starter difficulties, and doing the regular dive under those circumstances can be kind of a downer.
new smart stout voiceline: what doth life?
dreadnought detonator. an even bigger explosion
Options for Gilded beards
-Ruby
-Emerald
-None
Whenever you salute it would be cool if Steeve roars
The option to exchange Bosco's rockets for a volley of mini-howitzer shells that inherit all rocket abilities. They'd be more effective, but Bosco would need 3-5 seconds to reboot before he could do anything outside of use his spotlight. It'd add a bit of variety to his arsenal, and give solo players something new.
“Skin Tone” Idea: Robot
Description: Experimental tech! The most advanced model Deep Rock Galactic has so far!
The “skin” would consist of a robot dwarf covered in thin armor plating (resembling skin), colored similarly to the Dark Future armor colors. Would feature various blinking lights and accents that change color depending on the class you play. Eyes are black with class-colored irises. An idea: voicelines would sound more robotic by feeding them through a text-to-speech program (to be funny, my idea was that deep rock lacked the budget for a more sophisticated voice program) OR voices could take the nemesis approach, layering filters over regular lines. I’d also like to imagine that dwarves with this skin equipped would have extra voicelines when killing Xynarch Charge Suckers or destroying Rival Tech.
OC idea for hurricane:
"Beam-Riding Missiles"
Unstable overclock:
Large damage/weakspot damage bonus when Missiles are being guided by laser pointer
Missiles can ONLY be guided by the laser pointer and don't benefit from buffs when unguided
A potential way to implement melee weapons into the game:
Have a mission mutator (this could be its whole own season btw) that makes enemies have bulletproof skin or something. Mission control will then supply everybody with various melee weapons, and each player gets two.
The firearms you have equipped affect the weapons that mission control will send down to you. For example, scout would get a hot plasma sword with the Drak but the driller would get a tech-y uranium knife with the wave cooker.
I know that this would be a massive amount of work to implement, especially considering overclocks. It's just a concept for allowing players to play the game this way while still seeming natural to how the game already functions.
Daily assignments!
(or longer weekly ones)
Once you reach a certain level, you are pretty much just waiting for the weeklies to come back while running random games.
Would be nice to have atleast a daily assignment so we have 3/4 set missions to do every day and you don't have to wait a week for new assignments (or use promo-bug/feature).
Rewards dont have to be big, just something to keep you busy. 🙂
Longbeard Freight branded hat with a picture of a spaceship crashing on it
mutator: disrupted logistics: you get a random primary and secondary with one of the configurations you've already built (configurations being the equipped mods and oc)
Add Doretta Emoji
Ok. This may sound crazy but hear me out. If GSG ever did another biome update this is my plan:
I would like to see a kinda underwater cave with:
-Water Pools. (could be toxic)
-The walls have that beautiful refraction that water makes in real life caves, but only near said water sources so it's not too much of a pain to code. (Reference image posted)
-Maybe the caves can be kinda linear in all missions to mimic real life caves.
-Tons of sea flora, even outside the water (lore would be that the cave would be so damp that the flora has learned to adapt to being outside of water, but still on moist ground)
-There could be a couple biome-only creatures like how Sandblasted Corridors and Azure Weald have. Maybe a friendly octopus or a hostile bone-shark that jumps out of the walls to damage you for a tiny bit (like the eels from mario galaxy/64)
-And a name in my opinion could be called "Oceanic Depths"
Hope you guys take some thought into this. If not, thats fine. I've been thinking about this for a couple hours now. Enjoy! This is also me just letting my special little brain fly with a big idea.
More Beer Types 🍻
what about parasitic glyphid eggs, like them being placed on lootbugs or other friendly creatures that spawn swarmers when the creature is killed or it gets too close.
and yes now you will absolutely hate this but more difficulty and like 3-5 eggs on like lootbug and like 5-7 on larger.
and if you still hate me on that send all complains to itsjusttothinkaboutanditsarealisticstrategy@gmail.com
to go further on, "Oh why would they take the time to go over to a lootbug or something to just leave a handful of eggs."
please look at Pompilidae (Spider Wasps) "But wait they can fly and stuff so its easier!" listen lootbugs barely shift along and and unbelievably dumb i think a few grunts can go over drop eggs onto the lootbug and scramble without issues, no less other friendly creatures,
example Silicate Harvester, relatively slow and could not care about dwarves or glyphid's, drop a few eggs there and now your eggs are on a flying platform that relatively keeps your eggs 10x safer than being on the ground.
Naedocyte Cave Cruiser? absolutely, plenty of space on there to place like 7!
anyways thats my drunken rant on parasitic glyphid eggs go wild.
i've thought a bit more about my idea for a new mission-type, and i've refined it somewhat
Hive Wipe:
"Miners, we've detected a glyphid hive somewhere nearby, that thing is responsible for spawning huge amounts of bugs throughout the caves in this area, and needs to be wiped out. Escort the bomb carrier to the heart of the hive, and destroy it"
MAR-C (Mechanized Artillery Rocket Carrier) carries a bomb that must be deployed at the heart of the hive, and must be led there in order to do so.
she has a device that dispenses radio signal nodes, devices that MAR-C detects and then travels towards when they're deployed, however she has a limited range to where she can detect the radio transmitters, and she must have line of sit as well, similarly to a hacking pod with it's things, however, once a node is successfully deployed and activated, she will move towards it, this must be done several times to reach the hive heart
However, MAR-C can be deactivated by getting attacked and must be repaired when this happens (note that she cannot ever be killed outright)
there is a near constant stream of bugs that will attempt to sabotage your attempts to reach the hive heart.
the layout of the caves is similar to mining expedition
a long winding path with rooms interspersed, ending in one large room, except tunnels are much larger, and there is less verticality
once MAR-C has reached the hive heart, pressing a button on her will cause her to deploy the bomb, and then the drop pod can be called.
once the drop pod is called things happen pretty much the same as every other mission type, except that once a condition is met for the drop pod to be called back, the bomb will explode and essentially destroy the entire cave
This mission existing and the successful completion of this mission would have no effect on the spawn habits of bugs in any other mission
How about increasing required rank lvl for titles, for example in 3-5 times. Come on, 76 rank is too low for "Lord Of The Deep"
When I initially saw that you could craft beer at the bar, I assumed that, similar to the daily special, there'd be a buff you could bring into the cave with you. I was kinda disappointed there wasn't. I know that those beers are mostly for goofing off in the rig, and that's fine, but I think it would be interesting if teams could plan their missions ahead with small buffs provided by certain craftable beers. I'd set a few ground rules as follows:
- Some number of beers are added to the game that are craftable, and provide a buff when consumed, although this buff should be less potent than that of the daily special. These buffs also shouldn't be direct parallels of ones already on the daily menu (I.e., no health boosters, since the Red Rock does that already). It has to be a new type of advantage.
- You can still only carry one buff at a time. So now you have to make a decision: is the daily more worth your time for the random, but more significant boost, or is the certainty of a less potent craft beer more beneficial to your cause?
The only reason I suggest this format specifically is because I don't think many people would take kindly to upheaving the already-existing daily special system, so trying to integrate it alongside that seems to be the best way to compromise. I'm also not sure if this would balance fairly; care would have to be taken into what kinds of buffs you're getting out of these beers.
I think it would be great to have an overclock for the autocannon, that makes it more accurate that isn't big bertha for all the accuracy freaks out there
slur filter for server names to prevent shit like this
An optional profanity filter for people who can't handle it wouldn't be a bad idea
Server tag/setting that encourages voice chat use so that those who prefer it know where likeminded dwarves are playing.
Hello people of Discord. I come to you from Reddit.
We dwarves of r/DeepRockGalactic trust that "oT" is a great dwarven representations of R&S and should be treated as "o7" salute replacement accordingly.
Thank you for your attention to the community development ideas. Rock and Stone! oT
How about Abundant and scarce Recourses and depth?
so you sayin you want to say slurs?
Nice strawman
i can read between the lines
i can see the "snowflake" in your original response
why would you want to see slurs?
why would you not want to discourage hateful behaviour?
I will not argue with you in #suggestions because you feel like attacking my person based on overinterpretation of my words.
A small "glow" around the base of a cave leech, since cave leeches rely on your visibility of them and are a "proactive" threat and not a "reactive" one, it feels kinda shoddy that in this photo, the tiny red thing on my screen is actually a leech's tentacle, not that you could guess that since you would usually see the base as well, along with more of the tentacle than just the mouth, and unluckily I get caught whilst actively searching for the leech as shown in this clip.

Add new Phrases (after pressing V):
-Every good dwarf will say: ROCK AND STONE!
-Mining morkite of rock and stone! (Morkite misson)
-Doretta! Rock! And stone!
-ROCK AND STONE NO LIMIT!
-DRILL AND STONE! (Driller exclusive)
-WE GO TO ROCK AND STONE BY PLATFORMS! (Engineer exclusive)
-ROCK AND BULLET! (Gunner exclusive)
-HOOK AND GUN! (Scout exclusive)
Sludge Pump Unstable Overclock:
"Liquid Spray Nozzle"
(+) Greatly Increased fire rate (Now Scales with with fragment count and charge speed)
(+) Greatly Increased Ammo and Magazine Capacity
(+) Automatic fire
(-) No charged shots
(-) Greatly Reduced impact damage
(-) Significantly reduced Chance to coat enemies in Sludge
Essentially, the Sludge Pump now fires like the Lithofoamer, could be simplified on the OC description.
explosives and plasma effects should ignite praetorian gas
An indicator for whether Steeve is alive or not! For example, as Jacob suggested, a little heart icon next to the Beastmaster ability
Ever since you added new mission types the 45 minute speed dive achievement has been unfeasible because the newer mission types just take too long
So increase the time for it
Focused Discharger (unstable overclock)
Breach Cutter
increased projectile velocity
increased rate of fire
increased ammo count
greatly decreased projectile size
(Increased projectile velocity is listed as a positive, but is partially to balance the increased ammo count by reducing the duration of contact with larger glyphids)
You could be able to take steve with you on the pod
When you're choosing which perks to equip, you should absolutely show their stats on screen then and there. I dont know the stats of most perks off the top of my head, despite having several hundred hours in the game, and having to run between the performance indicator screen and the loadout screen sucks ass
Bosco should strike a pose with you in the report screen after mission completion
A Mactara boss fight, like maybe a dragon
the "If only i got payed for this" achievement needs to be updated. The hoop changing speed is pure rng, you have no way to predict how fast it is going to be which makes this less of an achievement and more of an rng torture hell. Also the little bounce a new barrel does when it is dropped down is makes it an almost guaranteed fail if you get a fast hoop. My suggestions is to stop the spawn bounce for each new barrel and to remove the rng on the hoop speed and instead make it a predictable pattern. This way its still a hard achievement but you aren't at the mercy of rng ruining it.
A potential reference to the Alien movies on the space rig. It could be something subtle like green 'glyphid blood' melting through some corner on the space rig or something along those lines, just thought it be a cool easter egg. Even hidden dialogue when pinging swarmer tunnels the dwarves could yell out 'They're in the walls' as a pretty cool nod I'd like to think
I think some love for the armor rigs would be awesome
- More T3 armor mod options
Driller's fire resistance is the main one with this issue, since it isn't practical outside of magma core unless you plan on petting the bulk detonator
- T4 armor mod buffs
Static discharge is debatable on this one since it's better to give you a moment to get out of a sticky situation, but I believe shockwave could really use some love on this one
There should be a reaction of petting Steve. We need a Steve petting reaction!
renaming the "developer" role to "management"
might have been asked already, if so feel free to tell me so ill delete comment: for armoured beard cosmetic, like "tank division" or "crested waterfall" for example, could they have a toggle to make them take colours from armour paintjob ?
A better way to describe loadouts because the measly 12 or so icons are just not good enough
It'd be nice to have some more steam points shop items, maybe a profile border
a mission oriented around angering a more grownup dreadnought (or something else entirely) that could be weakened through something management has cooked up (orbital bombardment, a big bomb?) at a site you need to lead it to. The monster would spawn like how you would get a dreadnought to spawn with an egg, but you would need to lead it a location marked on the map. From there it could just be a normal bossfight. Kinda like a reversed escort mission.
Blackout Lager
electrified beer which causes a power outage at the station. Terminals and light eventually reboot (with space-windows reboot screens)
(Can be used to get that one guy lost in customization to pay attention.)
Make bosco join you in the pod when you leave, instead of 'being left behind'
giant worm/worm-like enemy
that goes through the terrain/walls to attack you.
You guys seriously need to tone down the gigantic rooms, they look great, but they are impossible to light up (which means you're going to miss minerals you couldnt see), or enemies crawling there that you couldnt see, they are ass to navigate, as any non-scout class
Different types of flashlights would be cool, some could light up more area, or have special abilities, etc, mabey even upgrade them or something
What do we want!: A DAILY ASSIGNMENT
When do we want it!: Whenever the devs can make it because they are probably busy with season 4
didn't think of that
Hello, I have no complaints at all, but one thing that would be very cool would be some sort of shooting range to test out our weapons and gear in the hub.
What if there was a new ore that was worth 2x the gold but it's more rare because of it?
Radioactive bulk detonator variant.
Reason: The small exploders get a special variant in the radioactive exclusion zone, but the bulk doesn't which makes it feel out of place by comparison. The purpose of this is just to make the bulk detonators of that region feel more natural.
DLC with various English accents: Indian, French, German and so on 🙂
the gunner's revolver only has 4 rounds in the physically visible chamber when reloading, even when using the six round overclock. literally unplayable
Mission Modifier: Electronic Interference. Map, Laser Pointer, and even the HUD is disabled.
Breech Cutter Balanced Overclock
"Quick Eject Mechanism"
(+) x2 Projectile Velocity
(+) x2 Damage (Or Tickrate if possible)
(-) x0.5 Projectile Lifespan
Functionally more like a clean OC that makes the projectiles travel and deal their damage faster, while not actually altering total damage or range.
Please make the arbaleset actually fightable! It keeps hiding behind everything, and fighting it is not so much about actual combat but it hiding and us chasing it like a stupid game of cat and mouse
Add more dreadnought types.
Make more mission types.
cross platform play/saves
EX: steam can play with xbox or your xbox saves can connect to steam
magnetoplasmadynamic (MPD) weapon (lorentz beamer?) as some crazy ass weapon, possibly something that can be dropped instead of a supply pod for less nitra.
would be carried like one of the rockpox cleansing tools but used to murder.
uses a cold “gas” fluid like liquid hydrogen as fuel, and pumps it through a series of coiled tubes that turn the gas into an extremely hot, compressed charged plasma via the lorentz force, and then project it out through a magnetic confinement nozzle
what this means is that it’s an extremely hot cone of thin gas traveling at upwards of 100km/s, effectively “sandblasting” whatever is in the cone of the nozzle instantly.
blast glyphids with science, think of it like someone took the shard diffractor, flamethrower, and wave cooker, and then combined them into some atrocity that requires a backpack reactor to run. would be used to clear swarms or deal with giant enemies in an emergency but only has limited fuel and cannot be replenished by regular supply drops
Customizable stickers/holograms on m.u.l.e. for each player in lobby (one player – one m.u.l.e. side)
please god make the forge animation skipable
in addition to the previous comment, i've mentioned this before but i hope it isn't too much of a bother to bring it up again since it didn't get much traction last time, i think the forge animation should also be more cinematic, instead of just some unsatisfying hammer slaps.
the nailsmith from hollow knight has a very cool hitting shit with a hammer animation that could be combined with what we already have for a very interesting and more enjoyable animation
maybe some ancient greek themed cosmetics (beards, spartan helmet, olive branch grown, bronze/silver armor) think greek god pack
Make the Unknown Horror slowly get faster over the course of a mission so that you can't just mindlessly kite it forever (like how Aquarq random swarms get bigger over time). If it actually downs someone, it slows back down a bit.
Make barrel physics worse.
Surface missions: hazardous environment galore, with mission objective such as gathering some form of noble gas, clearing lithophage, or dealing with heavy rival bases.
Considering the amount of fairly large holes created from numerous drop pods and meteors, the surface should not be completely devoid of air.
Basically the largest cave rooms without a roof.
2 Cosmetic things for weapons:
(Dreadnought) Killers Delight Weapon Painthob - Metallic black-gray colours (if possible to do with countless frameworks we have) with images of dreadnoughts/other undesirable beardless creatures with kill notches on them near receiver / barrel.
Salt Cluster (like salt crystal paintjob see what i did here) Weapon Framework - Basically a gun that has ingrown crystals on its surface (the image is for an example). The stock paintjob for this framework would look like either inner crust of geode (white like in salt crystal?) with it getting a subtle gradient to gray or a mix of marble and other stones.
DRG definitely need better voice actor than current one man show (he's doing great but changing pitch alone is selling the game short)
I feel like having a weeping angel inspired creature that only moves when observed. I think it would work in swarms as a medium melee high speed target, which would attack with a large group. it would be small with medium health (in my book that's two pick swings) to give the illusion of a non threatening bug, but would be large threat in swarms. (15 hours in, please take everything I say as a work in progress
Please flip the camera controls when you're down. its ridiculous that they are inverted right now
Balanced Gk2 oc
Adagio
Every kill on medium or larger enemies increases the damage by 1 until reload
Every kill on medium or larger enemies decreases the rof by 1 until reload
-15% ammo reserves
Weapon: Grenade
Class: Scout
Mineral Sucker: When thrown against a mineral source (Gold, Nitra, Bismor, Croppa, Umanite, etc., Not resources that have to get out of a wall) that it will get sucked up into the grenade, wich is formed with a sucking part at the front and the storing part at the back. It's able to hold 40 resource parts per grenade. After done collecting it will make a sound in the direction of a pipe connecting to a Pumpjack. After this it will stay on and the scout will have to recollect it and the resources in it, but will be able to reuse the grenades. The sucking itself will go from the outer parts to the source to the middle of the source.
Maybe an option to craft a specific booster beer, the caveat being you'll need to spend more money and beer resource items based on how "good" the booster would be. I've no idea if it would be a coding nightmare to have it be dependent on the mission type selected, but I feel like that would be a cool quality of life feature to use the beer stuff piling up!
Weapon Framework+Paintjob and for some even alternate sound Ideas:
Toy Gun: (looks neon coulored and like plastic and for shots the dwarfs make the sounds themselves instead of the usual ones).
Old war: Have a wood and metal Style with decorative stamps and so on similar to old Weapons
Retro Future: Do i really need to explain them
Rockpox Weapons: These weapons are somehow alive but wont infect you or anything elese. But hey you dont have to maintain them if you keep them fed with some gunpowder.
Throwing heavy objects(like
etc) at a bug can squish it or deal damage depending on how hard you throw it
Clean overclock for Hurricine that is intended as a rework/replacement for manual guidance cutoff, whilst maintaining the original intended function.
"Missle Targeting System"
While holding down the fire button, you are able to mark an enemy (Similar to Lok-1), releasing the fire button will cause currently active missiles to continue to target that enemy instead of the crosshair.
Pressing the fire button again will shoot missiles that behave as normal, essentially allowing different missiles to track different locations simultaneously.
If a marked enemy dies, missiles that were targeting them begin once again tracking the cursor.
Radioactive Pretoreans still get the ping line
"Watch the gas".
Since pings also include handy tips on the fly, worth mentioning it's 360° thingy
Unstable overclock for gunner's minigun: B.R.R.R.T-9000
massive increase in rate of fire.
+1 damage every sequential hit on a target when firing.
significantly increased spinup time.
overheat rate increased significantly
longer cooldown time.
Fire a volley of gunfire all at once.
Subata unstable oc
Critical buildup
+5 damage per crit, resets on miss or reload
-15% reserve ammo
-10% crit bonus
Dumb mission/biome idea brought about by too much terraria:
Set essentially in Hell, with lava everywhere, the chasm is essentially a gigantic canyon, where you must build causeways between crumbling towers similar to pipelines. Attempting to dig deep into the side walls, will let in a flow of lava. Near the end of the canyon, you can find a voodoo doll of Mission Control. Picking it up will cause him to berate you. And throwing it into the magma kills him. This causes the walls of the cavern to come to life, and start trying to kill you all. Their attacks can knock down the towers--which causes the walls to close in on you. Touching the wall of flesh is instant death. You succeed the mission only if you are able to do enough damage to the wall, or you last long enough for the drop pod to arrive.
New mutation: Menace Mayhem.
The name is self explanatory. Increase the amount of menaces spawning
Engineers 3rd sentry option should be a Loot Bug, Hear me out.
-
Carry's more ammo and has better accuracy, But deals less damage.
-
You can have it sit on your back or place it on a team members back
-
It can hold 80 bullets at a time, and just like other sentries another engineer can refill the ammo
-
Every once in a while when its dealing damage it will make loot bug squeaky noises just because why not ; )
-If your wondering how to refill the ammo if its on your back, I was thinking maybe a new addition/button specificaly
for this loot bug sentry is if you hold whatever button you bind it to you can refill it while its on your back but your movement is
slowed down while doing so
Likely been suggested before already, but I will still suggest; remove the ability to repair/build things like Doretta and uplinks at the same time as other dwarves if it doesn't even make it go any faster or only by a miniscule amount. Or alternatively, make multiple dwarves repairing actually make actions go faster. With the way things like repairing Doretta are right now, it lulls players into a false sense of security because they just assume whatever they're doing is going faster because they're holding E on it, and because it actually does go faster on things like revives or building/repairing pipelines.
As for another suggestion, more beard colors please
-
One build for each type of mission with autoselection.
Right now we have 5 slots of builds (I think) and we have to select by hand (I often forget to use it). Would be cool if we could checkmark an autoselect option so the game would select the build accordingly to the mission. Also this would not work with Deepdives. Deepdives would have it's own slot. -
Be able to pickup your own used flares. (you have to pick by pressing the use button)
When picking up an used flare the recharge gets a little boost. I know that it's purpose is to say "hey, you've been here already", but this would benefit the player and the game too. Because you would get flares faster and there would be less object in the map. (This would only work for completely empty flares) -
A catalog to help you see how many skins, overclocks and mods you still have to collect.
Right now we only have the wiki, but you can't see your progress rightaway. A catalog could show us all the things we have collected so far and all the things we haven't. This could encorage us to play more. -
A better way to handle connection errors.
I am refering to the error that happen when you try to connect to a server. You get an error message and your session restarts. I don't mind this error, but I would like to continue browsing. -
More waypoints to the laser pointer (maybe up to 5).
Each waypoint would be represented by a number. Sometimes I see more than one thing I would like to mark to check later, this would help me a lot!
This is a simple weapon idea for the engineer: Weaponized Rocket Engine. Thanks.
Making it so that the Iron Will's timer running out won't cause you to die provided you are resupplying from a resupply pod, stopping the interaction causes you to go down as per normal.
Another suggestion I've been brewing up for a while in my brain.
Flare upgrades. Currently there's an option in the weapon loadout screen for them but no actual purpose. The dwarves even have a voice line for flare upgrades when attempting to use them while on recharge! "Damn flares need an upgrade!"
Tier 1: 1 upgrade option.
Lightweight flares: Flares are thrown 65% further.
Tier 2: 3 upgrade options.
Deeper pockets: Carry 2 more flares.
Quick reactant: Flares recharge 3 seconds faster.
Brighter flares: Flares light up 25% more area.
Tier 3: 2 upgrade options.
Brighter flares: Flares light up 45% more area.
Longer burn: Burn duration increased by 65%
Tier 4: 1 upgrade option.
Sticky coating: Flares will stick to terrain when thrown.
These upgrades are purely just ideas up for interpretation and number changes, I more so just wanted to suggest the ideas of having more flares, faster recharge, and brighter flares or longer burns. Sticky flares would also be an entirely optional thing, which is why its in a tier of its own.
I would also like to suggest the idea of making flares despawn after a while. It's not really an issue in normal gameplay, but I'd had issues where I'm in a mission for a while making pipelines into the void, and after an hour or two there's just hundreds of flares, which causes people to be unable to join/load in because of all the flares they have to render. Having a lot of flares that don't despawn can also cause performance issues
A double eyepatch cosmetic so you can make your dwarf completely blind for funnies
have bosco be affected by pots of gold
Now there is no use case to promote above bronze 1 So....
Bronze 3 ---> Silver 1 = unlock a new passive perk slot
Silver 3 ---> Gold 1 = unlock a new active perk slot
Rock and Stone!
-
Have optional high-risk/high-reward claustrophobia-inducing small tunnels that can't be dug, but only slowly crawled through like real life caving.
-
A chance of loose dirt cave ins. The chance being triggered by swarms perhaps, or perhaps a loose dirt cave in can alert a swarm. Or perhaps when digger makes extra long tunnels.
-
Expanded taxonomy of bugs that are inspired by more real life bugs.
-
ants that lock into each other to form a bridge towards their target. So a bug or glyphid variant that bites into other types similar and freezes to build pillars/bridges to reach dwarves faster.
-
Solo predator bugs like maybe a trapdoor that is buried in a wall with a camouflaged trapdoor and snatches any dwarf into the wall who gets close.
-
Another solo predator bug like a Wolf spider derivative, so maybe like a bigger glyphid, yet sleek powerful, and agile. Can quietly stalk lone dwarves when moving slowly and perhaps very quiet sound cues to alert loners, but then loud and fast stomping cues when chasing dwarves, perhaps at an increasing rate the closer it gets to whoever is running away. Maybe it never appears in swarms.
-
A bug that vomits out material that becomes solid rock,
-
Moths that are flare-level luminous, but are sometimes attacked by glyphid spitters
-
Synchronized "Steve perk" between 2 dwarves to tame glyphid praetorians.
-
More danger for drillers who like to dig shortcuts to objectives: After a certain length of tunnel is drilled, it triggers a %chance of alerting a predatory worm tunneler. maybe because it thinks the driller is another tunnel worm encroaching on its territory or something.
-
Emp bugs that disrupt electronics for a time, making dwarves have to fight by flare light alone.
Bosco overclocks idk what they will be tho
You can buy a box of noodles (as seen on the bar tables)
Bosco will reach into the green box behind the green tip machine and whip one out (its like a cooler but it keeps food nice and hot)
When consuming you slurp the noodles down, then burp or something.
Never go on a mission with an empty stomach
An upgrade for BOSCO that makes him fly faster.
Change the Victory move where you drink the Leaf lovers special and change it to a different drink.
Customization for Molly
Flashlight grenade which lights up a room like scouts flare gun and shoots out magnesium shrapnels which burns bugs and starts fire, a bit like gunners molly
Hoxxes "Bounty Hunt" Event - "Well Miners, it seems that R&D found something important on all of those data racks you've been scooping up for us. Turns out that our Rivals have been secretly collecting samples from the local wildlife for devious experiments to wreck the natural order in our territory. Luckily, R&D being the clever blighters that they are, have devised a solution. We're sending out Bait Pods all over Hoxxes to weasel these beasts out of hiding and we need you to kill them for us. Good luck and try not to die."
A new world event that when activated summons a weird and dangerous mutation of one of the many different hoxxes residents.
I think that it should save my graphics settings between launches/game joins.
I have to set my texture quality down very frequently
DRG is so chock full of little details that are awesome. I'd like to add one more:
Randomized hammering animations when forging.
Having a little thing in settings for best settings for your system to help people like @tropic bison who have trouble with graphics and frame rate determine the best way to play the game
implement a feature where pinging minerals makes them stay marked for everyone on the map until they are mined (or on the screen, if it's possible to make it not seem cluttered)
Crossplay
A firing range
mule needs a "do not move until summoned" command
Add a little warning on all of the perks that have no affect in Solo missions.
Just like: ⓘ This perk has no benefits when doing missions solo
mods that change Bosco's rockets to:
flares that give off light in a smaller radius than a scout's
platforms that are smaller and could be of a different color
ziplines that are made by pinging+clicking two different locations rather than 1
obviously, the amount of these would change depending on which mod you have applied. this lets Bosco be more versatile and customizable, especially for different classes playing solo.
Crassus exploder with the same effect as a Crassus detonator but far smaller
Unstable Overclock for the Shard Defractor:
Hyper Flakk Cannon (name is a WIP)
Positives:
It shoots out an incredibly strong beam of energy.
Pierces through targets and damages terrain.
Beam width increased by a lot.
Negatives:
It takes a while to charge up before releasing the blast.
Chews through ammo like a beast.
You cannot move that much while shooting.
Have a super rare bulk detonator that is made up of precious crafting minerals instead of gold that can spawn if the mission has "mineral mania" buff, and when it explodes it plants a ton of mineral bits like a shiny pokey colorful geode
I know I’ve said some of these before but again…
Magma Spitballers
Bulk Radioactive Detonator
Frost Spitballers
Radioactive Grabber
Also…
Different variations of stabber vines. Some with more tendrils and some with less.
Back when the game first released in early access they had flar upgrades like this could upgrade to Carry 1 more 5total or increase recharge speed. Stage 2 upgrade an increased burn duration or brighter flares or something
Can we actually get mail hand delivered by the retrieval drone when we return to the rig? a Drone in a mailman suit or something will follow the recipient around the rig waiting to be acknowledged before handing them the random infused core etc.
Salvage missions should have x2 chance for core infusers, it's kinda boring when you have many blank cores but just get plain unlucky and never find core infusers in your missions. This should make there be something you can do to dramatically increase your chances of getting one. Also, it makes sense because in salvage missions it's a place that miners have been before
Having all 4 dwarves sitting in the glowing burner of the engine at the very top of the drop pod gives everyone the achievement "Hot Tub, Burning Hot", as standing in it makes you partially submerged and its quite difficult to get all 4 dwarves to fit
there should be custom skins for the mule like a little dog the has a backpack on for goods and sits when standing still
make nishanka bolts with the remote retrieval have a small blinking light, it's almost impossible to see them in dark areas or on low resolutions
can we make Fossil a little bit more obvious to find? whenever i got the objective, i always having a trouble finding the last one
Make drillers HE grenades true to their description and allow them to carve more and be able to mine minerals
Rework Elites and integrate them into regular gameplay.
Games like Risk of Rain and Binding of Isaac utilise a system where different coloured elites have special properties.
E.g. Fire Elites that leave blazing trails from Risk of Rain.
or
E.g. Green elites split into smaller enemies when killed from Binding of Isaac.
Elites could be an efficient way to spice up enemy variety, Elite Warning could be replaced with a significantly higher chance for elites to spawn.
Break room on the space rig. This room can have interactable seats as well as a few things like a poker table to play space poker with your buds and gamble away all your credits, play darts, among other things. The location can easily be fitted into the upper part of the space rig since there really isn't much there to begin with.
Slight improvements/QOL suggestions to gunplay
Unsure if suggested before, but for kinetic based firearm weapons (i.e your typical shooty shooty bullet guns) (excluding the m1000 and revolver and all miniguns* as while technically wasteful, there's not much else that can be done for those weapons based on my understanding that would accommodate the fast paced gameplay). Can we get alternate slightly faster reload animations depending on whether or not a round is still loaded in the chamber. Aside from the bonus of added immersion and further animation variety it would add practical and functional sense to maybe not reload on empty while fighting for faster sustained fire for certain weapons. Staged reload/cooling animations(animations that are split up into stages if interrupted and are continued upon returning to the weapon roughly at the stage they were before said interruption be it swapping, picking up an item etc etc) for any weapon that is applicable. Would be nice to avoid needing to restart a reload 3 times during critical gameplay moments due to a variety of variables preventing the action.
Add an option in settings to reset your chatbox every time you close it. Way too often am I typing something and realize I don't need/want to say it, only for me to see it pop up again before my next message.
Id like to add one more.
Radioactive Goo Bomber
Alternate map/biome ideas correlating perhaps to new mission types
- (more mining oriented) Physically landing on a massive liphophage meteor. A brand new map, with potentially recyclable current mission objectives. More open map with us being on the surface of something as opposed to being underground. Missions could be based around excavating/salvaging as many resources as we can whilst also destroying the meteor before escaping to prevent further contamination of Hoxxes.
-(more combat oriented) Rival space ship maps. Less cave/geologically oriented, still relevant potential ground for DRG to cover. Raiding a Rival space ship, what more could you want? A brand new mission type would have to center around this kind of map. Mission objectives would be obviously themed around more corporate sabotage against the rivals, perhaps stealing their successfully acquired resources/materials and further damaging their ability to function around Hoxxes.
-(excavation/mining oriented) A tileset/biome that generates alongside or is itself it's own biome/map that is a ancient underground structure to explore with resources and perhaps treasure to recover/aquire. Could be filled with unstable dangerous caveins, traps, maybe some new threat to fight.(This idea is actually somewhat inspired by some of what i think? is some of the original concept art i've seen for DRG or it's precusor concepts by Nikolaj Mårbjerg Severin* or maybe just coincidence he's done art similar looking to DRG in the past).
R&D has reported sightings of our rivals setting up labs on Hoxxes, and experimenting on the local wildlife. Find their labs and sabotage them!
Adds:
New enemies:
- Strangler Vines (Like Cave leeches, but they're not just on the roof)
- Weaponized Glyphids (Glyphids with weapons mounted on their backs)
New missions:
- Hostile Takeover/Rebel Pushback (eliminate enemies from Rival labs/Overrun DRG labs, and hack the defences (Turrets, fences, alarms))
New Structure
- Laboratories
New mechanics:
- Rival Booby traps
- Obstructing vines (The idea is like Compacted Dirt, but a bit more see-through. Can be mined or shot through)
DRG Mobile Companion App allowing us to send Molly to gather some crafting materials. And maybe it could also include bestiary, loot in bioms and weapon stats.
Here is an idea I have thought about that I don't know if it has already been suggested: The Ability To Reset, and Copy and Paste Loadouts. THE RESET IDEA A button that resets your loadout (so it would remove ever upgrade, overclock, paintjob, weapon framework, etc) SO you can start with a fresh start this would be for Weapon Builds and Dwarfs Cosmetics. THE COPY AND PASTE IDEA Lets say for all my Loadouts the 1st one is damage for all my Dwarfs but for my driller its AOE and the damage build is on the 3rd slot SO i would copy and paste the slot 3 build to slot 1 to make it easier, so I don't have to manually to it. THIS would also go for Dwarf Cosmetics too, so if in slot 1 all my dwarfs look like Eggman but for scout he looks like a ninja and in slot 5 he is Eggman I could Copy and Paste it to slot 1. And/Or a button that swaps loadouts like 1 goes to 5 and 5 goes to 1 for both Weapon and Cosmetic Loadouts. OVERALL this is the idea so making builds and loadouts can be easier and better, I don't know if this has been asked, so here.
Victory move where the dwarf is stepping in with a flame on his shoulder or head (maybe just smoking). Dwarf notices that, pulls out the arkenstout beer and pours it all on himself with satisfying sound of extinguishing and steam
And maybe a voiceline like "Try again, Hoxxes!"
make mule faster thx
-me
An extermination mission, where the objective is to survive large waves of enemies on a nitra rich cave
if the rockpox tendrils are only going to stick out of three ports on molly when a plagueheart's deposited, the one that doesnt have the tendrils should be the one on her back, so that the tendrils dont clip through the call drop pod button
chance for flip reload flourishes (in guns such as the warthog or the pgl) to have a harmless fumble animation where the dwarf almost drops it
add a firing range to test out weapons
Okay yall hear me out : imagine if In deep dives, the drill mission had a variant where it would combine with the mule mission BUT! With spare parts found on the ground you could add them to doretta and upgrade her ( armour, platform, fuel, turrets maybe)
Other example : refinery and morkite : add morkite to the refinery too speed up the process
Aquards+ refinery : you could have mega waves of enemy where to survive you have to upgrade the turrets all while the bugs try to destroy the refinery…
new drink options like HOT COAL-CO or COALCO-COLA.these 2 could boost enviromental resistence to cold maps. seeing as this is a mining game the coal fits well. also maybe a drink made from fermented or distilled red sugar called RED RUM. that one would give a minor hp return for dealing the final hit or a critcal hit on a critter.
For laughs there should be a mission control voice line when a high level player picks haz one or two https://youtu.be/DxDfV4FK0EU here something like that ( fyi it wasn’t the picking of the mission that voided the voice line it was the breaking of the ointment)
Would love to see a blacked out version of "The Abyss" [My dwarf prefers not to be seen]
I need more phased boss fights without immunity phases. Similar to the Caretaker fight, which is my favorite mission. I would welcome more bosses/ big bads at the end of a mission. A big bad glyphid queen sitting on a big gold/gem pile and a massive ammout of eggs. The more eggs you take out before the queen notices the less you need to fight when engaging the queen. 3-4 phases with interesting mechanics. Could be any theme, I just need more boss type enemies.
Nuclear bulk detonator, if exploders grow into bulks, wouldn’t rad exploders grow into a sort of walking nuclear bomb?
New victory move: Oddborn Snack
Dwarve takes a swarmer bug and bites its head off, then tossing it to the side as he wipes off his mouth
Yummy
Grenade that creates a cylinder of high gravity for 15 seconds, (stretching infinietly vertically)
High gravity would decrease bug movement speed and smash flying/ wall mounted bugs into the ground, killing them.
"Event" Elite Deep Dives: Deep dives that have unique attributes to them. Still follow a rogue-like structure of random generation; however, adding things during events that are only available in these deep dives: Special Enemies / New Puzzles / Unique Cosmetics and Weapons. These should not be exclusive to one point in time and can be played at any point after the event.
Uniform Colored Version of the Space Biker Headwear?
Kind of like you did for the Balaclava?
new victory move: sandwich time
dwarf steps forward, reaches behind them(roughly for something on their belt) and pulls out a generic, triangle sandwich. they hold it up, doing a "don't mind if i do" finger wavy gesture with the other hand, before scarfing it down cookiemonster style, complete with unidentifiable bits of food flying
even better idea: Hot Coal-co gives you black lung and kills you immediately
please add another max ammo upgrade to the drak-25
a glyphid infected with a defensive AI with mushroom armor and when destroyed releases toxic spores that serve as a smoke bomb to change position and after time said armor regenerates and only attacks with a korlok tyrant weed tail and similar tentacles to the stabbing vines
like a chimera
Stop launching drop pod in space rig when someone is connecting and 15 seconds after to make sure he will choose build
If you find a helmet you have a chance to find a dead Nemesis beside the suit
More music for swarms, it’s starting to get a little tiring hearing the same tracks over and over again
Make it where you can pet doretta's head in the space rig
Beer idea: mirrored and upside-down vision
Beer idea: so a year ago sniss posted a video about the beers of DRG and it got me thinking, there’s a lot of options of beer we’re not capitalizing on, like beer that makes ores brighter.
Or even a beer that maybe has some health properties. “R&D’s alcoholics discovered a new health drink, by altering the formula of Red Rock Blaster, your health can now regenerate automatically!”
For balance, it can be swapped to, “10% increased health from all health gain sources” so vamp and maybe revives and resupplies and etc.
With all challenges and objectives at the Key Performance Indicator Terminal (KPIT) I have 150 ish left over points but no perks to invest in I'd like to see more perks added stuff that promotes a melee build or maybe season specific ones with each new season
Melee build perk ideas
Add Elemental effect to pick axe on a short cool down
Apply fire/shock/ice/acid to pick axe
Power attacks send out an Elemental wave?
Beserker perk:
lower health = higher damage on melee attacks and faster power attack recharge
Season specific
Rival presence idea:
one less hacking challenge or stage in hacking robots or turret
The new season has these leaches and the creep that slows us down
Idea: maybe have a perk that negates or reverses the effect?
And would be fun to see a perk that promoted playing a mission under the effects of beers 🍻 that gave a buff I'm sure everyone would love this.
Have a mutater called "failed mission site" which would enable the spawns of damaged resupply pods and the like without it being a salvage mission.
Unsure if this was suggested so here ya go.
Remake Project Dwarka, please 👉 👈
Pinging the lithovac will say "Vaccuum" in the same tone as the dwarves saying "Mushroom"
can you guys make the cool guy part in follow molly a bit longer please?
Some new environments, with some unique hazards. For example one with electromagnetic disturbances causing flashlights and other tech stuff like the terrain scanner and Lok-1 auto targeting system to malfunction; as well as floating balls of electricity that will randomly appear and disappear. Naturally there would be environment specific bugs.
What about placing your own way points in the caves so you can show your team where you've already been. Like the one Molly places when she gets back to the drop ship. Would love that feature
Or give the possibility to the scout. So he can go forward to scout and mark important parts of the caves
We all remember that at christmas and this new lunar festival, in addition to decorations, there are throwing projectiles dispensers (snowball piles at christmas and firecracker piles at this lunar festival)
and that the next opportunity to throw a snowball or firecracker at a comrade will have to wait a whole year.
so why not add somewhere in the space ball room piles of snow and firecrackers hidden by miners who don't want to part with the holidays
A new random event that involves scavenging loot from a crashed Rival-tech spaceship. The dwarves would have to fight off machines and some of the ships barely-functioning defense systems. The ship could be found already crashed, or it could crash mid-mission like the Rockpox meteors.
Increase the Max Ammo bonus for the Gemini System mod
+90 to max ammo is too little for 2 turrets that may in 1 wave eat up more than half of the total ammunition for them
When you ratchet strap the heartstone to Molly, you should be able to slap it and say "that's not going anywhere"
The Azure Wield biome is pretty but also kind of outshines some older biome's that were supposed to be full of flora and fauna or in general just kind of vibrant with stuff.
Fungus bogs:
- Would be nice for there to be more grass or more density of the current grassy vines as well, increased spawnrate of smaller and bigger mushrooms, and unique none hostile creatures full in a place that theoretically should be teeming with life. Yet the biome currently most of the time feels like it has pockets of life instead of it being overgrown and lush with it.
-Maybe even waterfalls and small lakes if we ever get swimming as a mechanic. Could be corrosive too, so acid lakes/waterfalls. To fulfill the "bog" part of the biome a bit more.
-Maybe replace the exploding plant with a corrosive acid one as well. Or simply reskin it to fit the biome more like the variant from the dense biozone currently*.
Dense Biozone:
-
Improve generation and potentially add way more variety of smaller, more common coral like structures please instead of just large ones that we often see in small amounts, More dense coral like grass.
-
Certainly more unique creatures for a zone that should be "dense" with them. Maybe even a reuse of the wall eyes from the radioactive zone? this area should be teeming with random organisms. Unless it's all coral/seabased which maybe it could also get land kelp forests as a way to add more packed notable variety.
So erm, a crazy idea... some sort of a community dig hole by the Miner's Union. Let's call it "The Pit" for now as the placeholder title.
The idea is, this is a public mission, sort of. The Pit is where all dwarves go to dig, mine, accomplish any given objectives, a successful mission will contribute towards one 'floor' of The Pit, and more missions mean the floors go deeper and deeper, and consequently, the deeper The Pit is, the more difficult the missions will be. It's a mission where everyone pools their efforts towards completing one single stage area, and the deeper the hole is, the more rewards are given for all participating dwarves, before a new pit is generated weekly/monthly.
Elimination missions can now also have hive rooms instead of dread cocoon rooms, which are just a fuck ton of bugs instead
I don’t think it would be too hard to add more stuff around the rig.
For example, kicking barrels, the disco ball, those weird goal posts, and the low gravity things are the main real “activities”
Why not add, a foosball table or something? Might edit this to add more.
Make an upgrade to sentry gun's that you have 4 mini sentry's and they have less ammo and less damage.
Make a daily special that instead of Dark Morkite you get more nitra instead.
add petrified status effect that. makes you rock and stone
Steeve is a good bug, Steeve deserves a doghouse on the base
the dwarves need some good manic laughter as kill quotes, i'm thinking akin to some of that raucous stuff heavy tf2 would expel, we know they enjoy killing bugs, and while it makes sense that they're pretty serious about it, i'd still love if they sometimes just went apeshit
Pickaxes should really get one more upgrade slot similar to the already existing t2. You could slightly nerf the base pickaxe if necessary. This would allow much more unique builds and increase the power of perks like berserker. It really would make a huge difference.
New grenade for all classes - Rock:
Pick up a small rock from the ground and throw it at an enemy. Very low damage, but good for grabbing enemy attention, and has unlimited uses. Rarely, your dwarf will pick up a stone instead. They look identical, but the dwarf will have a voiceline reacting as though this is a highly unusual occurrence.
If y'all are working to make perks more "special," then the bit at 0:46 of this mod showcase video is a fantastic representation of what you could turn "Berserker" into:
https://youtu.be/OY1DbsJvK_0
Give molly a grungy robot voice (in a way bosco makes sounds when given orders or doreta when existing) she'll make a sound when being called
Also, you should be able to smack the mule to give it a temp speed boost
Here me out. I love loot bugs. They're cute. I have a suggestion that we, as a community, should be able to obtain one as a permanent pet or by a perk (kind of like the ability to turn one of the Glyphid Grunts into a friendly one). Now I don't know what use it would be, but I believe having a pet loot bug would be cool.
If you try to call for the mule during point extraction/refining while on a Deep Dive, the dwarves should have different voice lines because Molly was there for prior stages.
'Wait, we did bring Molly! Management, you gibbering tree lickers, let her out of the drop pod!'
Some of the smart stout things said should be implemented, like guns on molly
Upgrade station for Molly, when playing with multiple players it would use the hosts upgrade setup
Special powder for the leadstorm so I can jetpack joyride around the caves
more employee of the month blurbs. you could sit down and crank out some more, or maybe let the winner choose their own blurb?
Add the ghastly Gibbus from TF2. funny spooky top hat
A way to block people from in game UI - because you can't tell who's who in the steam UI, please. :c
Next season: Search and Rescue -- A hunt for Karl's remains and His Lost Equipment.
i think you should be able to pet mule, just like you can pet lootbugs and other stuff 😌
Mactera Sharpshooter
Mactera with elongated mouth, spitting acid from distance 15 to 30 meters, tries to always keep the greatest distance with the dwarves. Pretty fast
Bosco should let out a quiet extremely bitcrushed "We're rich!" when he picks up Compressed gold. So solo dwarves feel a bit less lonely during the ritual
nooot exactly sure if its a) wasnt suggested before and b) is even possible to implement but:
Size of a mineral chunk should correspond with its amount of minerals in it. 0.1 gold and 10.0 gold chunks should NOT look the same.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DeepRockGalactic/comments/10w3bhw/maybe_an_idea_for_season_4_or_season_5/ Repost, but now on reddit for a better chance for Devs to see!
special voice lines that play if a dwarf is getting run over by doretta
Do you plan to do VR official mode for your game? It would be awesome. I tried this in bugging mode, and liked it. But this mode requires download by other player for playing missions. It would be great, if i will can play with others PC players with my VR.
when shouting during a sand-/snowstorm the dwafs should say something like: "WHERE ARE YOU GUYS" "HELP IM LOST"
could also be funny if they said: "Oh there you are" if the storm clears and they were right next to them all along
Give Engineer a option to replace turrets with a BOSCO (That can't revive). I like my BOSCO and want to take him everywhere.
More large-scale moustaches and "cheek covering" sideburns,
Moustaches such as the mighty walrus and epic handlebar
And sideburns such as the mighty muttonchops and rounded muttonchops,
These will help give more variety to facial hair so there will be less "gaps" between certain other beard combos
Allow us to tip loyd while holding an beer mug , we use the right hand to hold it, so in theory our left hand should be free to give some generous tip for our favorite hard working robot
New mission mutator called Sugar Free: No Red Sugar present in cave, only way to get health back is from resupply drops.
Idea: Alternative upgrades for tier 3 armor rigs. Allowing players to choose between two options for that tier.
Suggestion
'Mole' armor rig - "Sub-Zero Insulation" - resist cold and freezing
'Owl' armor rig - "Radiation Shielding"
- resist radiation
'Barracuda' armor rig - "Armored Buffers" - resist stun and slight reduction to melee damage
'Fox' armor rig - "Capacitor System" - resist electricity and gain a slight speed boost after taking electrical damage.
Idea : Alternate utility tool (Driller)
Driller: 'replace Satchel Charge with 'Drill-a-ma-jig' polyhedron covered with drill bits. When thrown, attaches to surface or enemy. Can be retrieved (upgrade?) if not activated
When activated: Drills for 30 seconds
On terrain - excavates (1) section of material per second before moving to adjacent section. If minerals are adjacent will always move toward minerals, otherwise moves in random direction into terrain.
On enemy - deals 12 damage per second. Can be upgraded with armor breaking and/or weakpoint bonus.
Idea : Alternate utility tool (Gunner)
Gunner: replace shield generator with 'Sugar Bomb' Throws like grenade and creates a field of red particles. The field lasts for 6 seconds (default). Any downed dwarf in the field is revived, requiring full 6 seconds to revive.
Otherwise, any conscious dwarf recovers 10 health per second in the field.
If mod extends duration of field, can revive dwarves in first 6 seconds and any remaining time duration can further heal dwarf.
Possible Idea: Top tier mod 'failsafe' automatically drops one sugar bomb (if available) if the gunner goes down, allowing them to self revive.
Idea : Alternate utility tool (Engineer)
Engineer: replace Sentry Turrets with (Bastion Automated Explorer - Battle Specification) BAE-B
'Baby' is essentially a mobile/walking turret, that follows/defends Engineer. Behavior similar to APD 'Bosco' but cannot fly or mine. If able to direct with Laser pointer, can only be directed by the Engineer that owns it.
Can deplete it's ammo and require reload, deals damage on par with normal sentry turrets.
Could introduce new voice lines referring to 'baby' from engineer and others.
Idea: Alternate utility tool (Scout)
Scout: replace flare gun with 'Trailblazer' system. Scout can place high-visibility markers similar to those placed by the M.U.L.E. when it is moving toward Drop Pod.
Scout can change color of marker either before or after (both?) placing the marker.
Marker provides a small amount of light but has infinite duration.
Allows Scout to mark a path or trail to various locations. Indicate important details, such as marking a tunnel connecting to a large cavern so it is visible from long distance, marking where platforms are placed for climbing, etc.
in addition to more ammo, and other 'normal' upgrades, may include greater light radius and ability to have markers show up as colored dots (waypoints) on all player's Terrain Scanners.
add a kick/ban reason for ordering a leaf lovers special
Add a DLC armor and weapon pack where the lithophage rockpox have infected the suit of armor and is crawling and pulsing along with a weapon frame work that has the same thing.
Lootbugs killed with “It’s a bug thing” should explode even more violently than they do currently
An NPC character: Green beard intern. Maybe needs rescuing. Maybe joins on the missions. Maybe provides lighting support like insta-renewing flares. Maybe provides support tool renewal or bug repellent. Maybe is not so helpful and gets scared away/lost.
Gravity/Shockwave hammer type weapon would be fire
Unironically, random friendly Dwarf NPC encounters that reuse the nemesis lines would be cool. You could tie it to a loot system as the NPC will either find something by using the "found something" line that's of value, or need rescuing w the various "help" lines and reward you upon being saved. After said encounter the NPC can self extract via their own unique small escape pod similar to Hacksey.
It could potentially add another layer of intrigue to the Nemesis as with a system like this it might actually fool people, even in solo. Thus making the enemy encounter imo more interesting or exciting/tense.
Suggestion: Fix Kursite machine event enemies spawn rate. Or the spawn rate of grinder itself. Casue most of time its autofailing due to not enough enemies, or its lost in caves.
Also, Mission control should have a birthday. And we should get party hats, kazoos, and cake. And I doubt he would want a single second of attention called to the fact that its his birthday. And we should be able to wish him a happy birthday like its a large chunk of gold or a large mushroom.
Suggestion: The ability to slap other dwarfs beards like the dice
Molly with a Retractable harpoon zipline gun for more cave traversal
remove the fade-out when leaving a game or disbanding a team
Convert useless extra perk points into 1,000 creds each (or 10 of your preferred crafting mineral)
pressing e on a team member while in the rig does a random action (like patting them on the shoulder)
perhaps there's something two people can do by looking at each other, like a handshake
can the paid for humble store orders get filled
Victory taunt where dwarf screams "WE'RE RICH!" then chucks a compressed gold piece like an olympic discus champion or alternatively, a glyphid
qronar that dont have momentum shouldnt launch dwarves nearly as far
Equipping the "Safety First" attachment on the grappling hook should change the "Risk of Accidental Death" stat from "High" to "Medium", likewise equipping overcharged winch should increase it from "High" to "Very High"
Increase/change the level 100 repeatable reward from the performance pass. currently it's 500 gold, which makes it so getting plaguehearts becomes pointless (roughly 30 gold and 250 dwarf xp each). I suggest the amount of gold is increased, or that it randomly rewards either gold or a crafting material. Alternatively, the performance pass XP awarded by plaguehearts could be increased once you're max level to incite people with the maxed pass to get plaguehearts to help others. (and to increase their xp to credit value)
Gunner coilgun overclock: Heavy impact
No aoe trail
Pierces reduced to 1
Smaller magazine size
Much more direct impact damage
bulk wave: 3 bulk detonators
smart stout voice line that explains the difference between rocks and stones
P V P V E PLEASE. it would be so cool for like 8 dwarfs 4v4 on who can do the most/ kill the most/ any objective while also being able to kill eachother, i feel like they could make a whole section of the game just for pvp gamemodes. and maybe once a week pick a challenge or featured map to play on with weird modifiers. or maybe it could be a rival tech against dwarfs for the other players.
Breeder and nexus limit per level. How about 1 breeder and 2 nexuses max?
Shaved Brows
For that smooth dwarf look
(or if you don't want them to clip with your helm)
random chances dwarves will have small chats whenever they finish depositing, a swarm ends, or they finish hitting something with a hammer, or just at random
something like "Lads, what would you say is the best pizza topping?" and there'd be responses from other dwarves stuff like "Pepperoni, it's simple, a classic, and generally good." "If you ask me any topping is good, except for some." "I don't like toppings on my pizza, plain cheese is always good." "Pineapple." and they might start small arguments "Who in KARLS NAME eats pizza with pineapple toppings?" "Hey, pineapple is really good, and I bet you haven't even tried it!" "I have tried it, and it was horrible." "Pizza with no toppings? I don't blame you, but why?" "Cus I don't like how the toppings interfere with the taste and feel of the pizza."
it'd just be a neat thing that'd occur every now and then, people can think of more little conversations/arguments the dwarves might have every now and then
"the chasm food court" where you can order meals. The leaf lover equivalent dish there, is, of course, salad
Would be nice if we could interact with the hand sanitizer bottles to squirt some into our hands and rub it around
pls pls pls work on crossplay. i dont wanna have to buy the microsoft store edition to play with my xbox friends when i already have the game on steam
at a certain promotion level, allow users to create a custom armour or pickaxe colour palette to personalise their characters (i.e. a one-time event after many promotions, with further opportunites every X number of promotions)
Unique backblade for a pickaxe that looks like a fist.
Increase the size of the naedocyte breeder by Abt 30%. I believe seeing an almost blimp-size organism cruising around up above would be quite the spectacle.
Frameworks or at least paintjobs for traversal and support tools
Make minelayer actually knock the gunk seeds
Make it so the mineral reward for the weekly assignment is always the mineral you have the least of.
Make it so scouts boomerang counts the number of hits and just returns to the owner if there's nothing left to hit. This would make the "carried amount" 72 (8 carried x 9 bounces) and it would just go down one for each hit up to 9 times per throw. All this does is ensure you always get the maximum of 72 possible hits.
add a 20% chance for a single unit of the common mineral in a biome to be in a lootbug. Generally lootbugs are not really worth the effort of chasing the resources around the room so adding a way to pick up another 5-10 minerals per mission would make them more worth the effort of harvesting without breaking game balance.
New OC for the minigun: "Covering fire!"
+Bullets have a chance to slow down nearby glyphids (including opressor and bulk detonator)
-Deals less damage and less accurate
+/- ~10% size variation on glyphid grunts
I really enjoy Industrial Sabotage, which I know isn't everyone's cup of tea. But I'd be interested to see a couple "Boss Missions" based on the pattern that Industrial Sabotage lays out. It also includes ideas on uses for data cores, tyrant shards, and plaguehearts. It's too long to post, but here's a link to the steam discussion and a google doc. https://steamcommunity.com/app/548430/discussions/3/3758852249520975544/ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lH2C8LNvRY0PAITa7f4nlixXrUFAAgeBIsrBCwfLKlg/edit?usp=sharing
when marking a teammate you say random dialouge, what if we could CHOOSE that dialouge? like if i wanted scout to shoot a light,i could choose that piece of dialouge
i would love a taunt active skill, something that makes bugs come to you, to take heat off your team or to go down with a c4 blaze of glory
Barrels of beer
Instead of buying a bunch of mugs, you can buy for a slightly lower price a barrel that the dwarf holds as a heavy object and from which you can drink 12 times.

New Mission type named: Search and rescue. A squad of high-rank Miners / Politicians are trapped in the caves of Hoxxes after their mission / trip goes south. You will neither find their skeletal remains and recover their equipment and perhaps classified data they hold regarding Deep Rock Galactic Company or If they are alive you will have to escort a medic robot that would carry them to safety ( perhaps a mini escape pod for the robot to bring and lauch off of the caves with the dwarf safely). After all that you do the good ol' HOLY SHIT RUN and you complete the mission.
Probably asked a thousand times before but:
Holdout game mode:
Ya know the previous team that died on salvage operations? Well you play as that team and try to hold the position for as long as dwarvenly possible
Perk: Shield Buffer
After shield breakdown you wont take damage for 0,25/0.5/0.75 seconds
Anomaly Idea: Lootbug Infestation
More lootbugs there, could also give out more nitra and gold as well as giving bits of the regional ores such as magmite and jadiz.
separate Bosco commands from regular pings so you can say "we're rich!" in solo missions without having to leave Bosco on the space rig
low gravity should increase the angles available for gunner's zipline
hot LZ: you now have a limited window to call for exfil before it is automatically called, and extract window is lowered
How about we can bring the soccer stuff onto the drop pod so we can make our own soccer field
There should be a separate slot for eyewear.
Plus, we should be able to buy all Battle Pass items in the store, rather than having it emerge via RNG. You could even have them be unlocked for purchase by spending perk points.
That way the RNG pipeline won't be filled with extra stuff. Less FOMO, but players still have to play and progress to unlock the gear.
I know it's not going to happen, but I really wished the armor designs would change depending on what weapon you have equipped. It's always frustrated me to an unreasonable degree that the MK4 and MK5 Armor on the Scout always show Deepcore magazines strapped to your belt even if you're running M1K or the Drak. It's a pipe dream, but it'd be cool if they were en bloc clips or power cell packs strapped up depending on your primary weapon.
I'm sure this was suggested before and maybe there's a particular reason it is the way it is but I disconnect from the matches at least 5 times a day and its fine but couple times I disconnect by the end of the match and its a little annoying that the time is wasted even though mission was basically done, maybe have a way to join back your session while its still going? otherwise have to browse the server listing and remember the username prior to joining incase I disconnect
On pc, can we please have the option to choose between which controller prompt we wanna use? I use a PS4 controller but I have the XBOX button layouts. It’s quit confusing at times.
taking advantage of the launch of the new supporter pack (which is undoubtedly already on my wish list), it could be used to make the ghost ship games helmet cover the neck, like other helmets
I think adding an optional sound marker could be useful and appreciated from the deaf community especially, by that I mean the option to turn on something like in fortnite (only reference I found) which indicated sound near by and points towards them, a bit like a compass for different sounds, a little icon of a cargo crate could appear and become more and more bright as you get close to the cargo crate or make a little glyphid mouth get bigger and bigger when they get closer to you, the design is simple ( different icon for each creature), the utility and usefulness of it could be enjoy by both deaf and non-deaf player and it would be easy to turn off and on, since the game has no pvp ( not complaining) it has no downsides whatsoever and would only be a plus to not only the game itself but for a part of the drg community, the compass doesn’t have to be 100% accurate and could point in general direction and could be simplified
As an example: being surrounded by multiple glyphid would, instead of making the compass overload with glyphid, just make one arrow to the nearest and surround the whole compass with red,
Different glyphid could have different arrow ( bulk face/ grabber/etc)
Similar object could have similar icon :(c4 could have the same icon as the engi’s mines)
And some useless thing could have no icon whatsoever ( loot bugs, steps, turrets shooting, etc)
Overall I think this would be a great addition for the game :)
Please add the ability to sit at these tables 🥺 . It would be very immersive to sit behind them in the lobby and chat about something while you wait for someone to connect to you or while someone is afk or maybe just chill after a hard mission. Just imagine how cool it would be to toast and drink beer sitting right here
. I would also like more seats so that everyone has enough space. Thank you so much for this wonderful game ❤️
A pickaxe paintjob that mimics bosco's stock colors
Just dawned on me, we should probably have a dedicated place either in the rig/menu to archive and review all our relevant lore snippets from throughout the seasons, from the performance pass starting screens/more recent more story/narrative assignments and mission control remarks.
Maybe a kind of audio/text recorder station for the space rig? Or in the Miner's Manual. Or both.
*While probably unfeasible or needlessly complex, for newer players you could have legacy season lore be unlocked in a bestiary like way through first having to encounter the rivals, or rockpox oriented events etc etc. Though given the fact some things are tied to essentially quests/assignments i'd assume that's a pipe dream. But maybe not.
There could be some kind of progression system in lore with the different events and enemies you encounter from previous seasons. Maybe you unlock a tidbit from a Rival Presence Misson, then more from a Prospecter, then more from a Nemesis, and a bunch from Industrial Sabotage. Same goes for Rockpox, you could unlock lore by getting both types of meteors and by doing a Lithophage Outbreak mission.
I Would suggest too add a PVP gamemode too the game, now this may seem counter intuitiv at first BUT, you might just pull it off and make it one of the more unique PVP game modes there is.
Im thinking of an A-Symetric PVP mode, compareable too Dead by Daylight, or Evolve Stage 2.
You could have 4 players face of against 1 player playing a monster, a "Dreadnaught Broodmother" if you will, this could either be a completely seperate limited time event thing, or it could be an invade style system (think darksouls), considering how sandbox this game is and how big of an enemy and ability variety you already have for the bugs the "Broodmother" could take influence and inspiration from other Bug designs and maybe evolve, maybe mroe into a fiery explosive monster, maybe more into a poisonous radioactive monster, maybe a ranged glass cannon, a slow big brawler,a hive queen like one spawning foes, or just a jack of all trades master of none, or you could just add a variety of set monsters too choose from or just one too keep it simple, you can make the monster a threat from the get go going toe too toe with our miners, or have it evolve in the mission. Or maybe treat it like a "weapon" giving it levels too add "mods" and "overclock".
I really think DRG has a lot of creative freedom when it comes too this, and as someone who has seen Evolve die because they only had that one mode, it makes me exited too see that this game can provide an even more unique experience like this while also having a big variety of other modes so it wont be stupidly repetetive but instead something very new and fresh.
The big Sandbox likeness of this game as well as the already established mechanics of the normal bugs could make this system work really well, in a sperate way just as good as in an event mid mission way (as with the meteors for example).
I really hope someone on the team sees this and at least keeps that thought burried away somewhere deep down.
Thx for reading, Rock and Stone!
New drink:
Big Flippa'
Upon drinking, your character model and your pov will flip upside-down and after "falling", you'll walk on the ceiling, the floor being the new roof (everyone else will see and be jealous)
Would be a good mix with Seasoned Moonrider for max gravity shenanigans
15% extra ammo perk
Some new weapon specific voice lines the dwarves have a chance to say when using/equipping a weapon.
Some examples include:
Engi with Voltaic: "got my stubby on my hip! gat gat gat!"
Scout with Boltshark: "now this is real hunting!"
Gunner with missiles: "fox three!"
Just more stuff like that, makes the game feel more alive.
there should be a shooting range to test new weapon upgrades before going into a game
Whenever I play Deep Rock Galactic I can't help but have a pirate like feel to it all. I even listen to sea shanties when playing. If you ever add any kind of pirate armor DLC I will HAPPILY pay for that
Nukes?
Whenever you ping Steve the dwarves only use glyphid enemy voiceline . I suggest that we need voiceline for Steve when he being ping that outside petting him
have more beer recipes that are randomly found in the caves / obtainable through missions
lootbug boss, find and kill X amount of lootbugs around the caves, upon killing the little lootbugs the mother lootbug spawns as a boss fight
could be pretty cool as a side mission
new beer: basilisk brew
it gives you the petrified effect which makes you. rock and stone,
search and recover fallen miners side mission
I want the soundtrack on spotify
Additional Bling Unlocks/Crafting for the dutiful dwarves.
Unlocking stuff through scrips and the seasonal progression is fine but at a certain point it gets tedious. Having the ability to unlock/craft, say medals or other "attachable" cosmetics as a sign of seniority would be neat, making something like gold more fun to mine if we could then attach some medals to display the depths of our greed.
Really any form of resource collection which can then be used inside the Space Station for some extra vanity crafting would do the trick. There is a decent amount of it as is, but forging overclocks and unlocking paintjobs through lost crates gets a tad dull as time goes on.
If you die to the barrel hoop or everyone passes out drunk you get the hospital gown when you wake up, so you don't have to fail a mission first to get it.
make BOSCO get in the pod with the miners at the end. we take MOLLY home so why leave BOSCO? we got 5 seats so let him take 1 of them.!!
Idea: Mining Speed Fix (Edit disregard)
After some brief numbers crunching.. and maybe I am doing math wrong here.
But it seems pointless to have both mods that allow you to 'drill faster'
Base Movement : Walk | Sprint 3 | 5 meters / second
Mining Movement (movement) x 1.1 x Total Movement Penalty
-- Drilling Movement Penalty starts at 0.50
-- Base Mining rate 1.5 meters/second
Base Mining Movement : Walk | Sprint = 1.65 | 2.75 , while Mining rate is 1.5
Effective mine rate 1.5 m/s
You can Walk faster than you can mine and may cause drills to 'bind'* when mining.
- The drills stop because you walk into the wall in front of you.
Only One Drill speed upgrade: Walk | Sprint = 1.98 | 3.3 , while Mining rate is 2.25
Effective Walking mine rate 1.98 m/s (about 30% increase from base rate)
Effective Sprinting mine rate 2.25 m/s
Walking will no longer cause drills to 'bind', but Sprinting may cause issues.
With Both speed upgrades: Walk | Sprint = 2.31 | 3.85 , while Mining rate is 3
Effective Walking mine rate 2.31 m/s (about 50% increase from base rate)
Effective Sprinting mine rate 3 m/s
Walking will not cause drills to 'bind', but Sprinting may cause issues.
=-=-=-=-
Suggestion:
How about Reducing the mining speed upgrades to add +0.60 instead of +0.75.
HOWEVER - when you have both Hardened Drill Tips and Supercharged Motors, then the bonus for each is Doubled (1.2 each) - increasing mining rate to 3.9.
This means mining rate with one Mod equipped will still be faster than walking (rate of 2.1 ) - making your walk speed the limiting factor.
But with both mods equipped you would be able to sprint without issue while mining.
EDIT - After a brief test -
Walking with (2) Speed Mods enabled
Drilled ~ 13.5 m before overheating (about 2.46 m/s)
Sprinting ~ 14.8 m before overheating (about 2.69 m/s)
Both of these are slower than the calculated mining rate, but faster than the calculated walking speed....
So... Obviously my match is wrong somewhere.
😦
CROSS PLATFORM PROGRESSION!
I absolutely love this game, I started during its free month on PS last year January and I have been hooked on it ever since. I have since got a PC and I am dying to play this game to its max potential. I just don’t want to leave my precious beards and goodies left behind on console. I would love love love to be able to transfer my beloved save over.
Thank you for making this magnificent game! Rock and stone to you all!
Can we have voice lines for when we ping a Bittergem, since it's more rare to see I feel like the Dwarves would be a lot more excited to see it and would be screaming their lungs out.
"ITS A BITTERGEM"
"BITTERGEM"
"WERE RICH"
After a while management would chime in somewhat jealous that they aren't there to get the Bittergem.
Suggestion for a LOK-1 overclock:
Pressing R will allow you to manually set the max number of locks per target.
i really want moddable throwables
Idea for a new cosmetic pack: Mineral Overload.
The core objective minerals available as weapon paintjobs/frameworks. Gold, Nitra, Morkite, whatever that weird blue mineral is, and whatever that weird purple mineral is.
Remove Shield disruption. Just that.
The ability to add markers to nodes within the cosmetic tree, in order to lay at what paths you want to take and where you want to spend your scrip.
new overclock for warthog
+2 pellets
+ricochet up to 6 meters
-2 mag size
+25% more spread
(stats are just a concept i am not good with numbers or balance)
Have an extremely rare room that can generate in any mission that's just a bunch of rival enemies throwing a party, with various bits of trash scattered around. Some patrol bots would be flying, using their gyroball as a disco ball and waving their sniper laser around randomly, and shredders would be going around in circles. A nemesis would be the DJ, and could probably be playing Doomer's "rival encounter" in the background. Once you enter, you get spotted, but instead of fighting, they immediately teleport out, with the nemesis saying "This. Never. HAPPENED." before teleporting himself. Why should you add this? Because either it adds some personality to the rivals, it shows how much you cooperate with the community, and if nothing else because it's just a little harmless easter egg that I think the community would like.
A rival base biome would be cool, with more rectangular tunnels and rooms, and the majority of enemies would be robots.
Throwing knifes for scouts grenades
A Leaf lover / green beard cosmetic (asking for a friend of course)
A skin for the pickaxe that's a small sword held by the blade with the hand guards being used at the pickaxe tip, with the idea being a drunk dwarf mistook it for a pickaxe.
rare chance for a swarm including elite bugs to spawn on any mission type (excluding Elite Threat obviously)
Give us a lore reason why management won't give us a firing range aboard the space rig
(aside from that one bit on the message terminals)
Hello, I'd like to suggest a cosmetic update that allows us to toggle the appearance of beards when wearing helmets that would normally hide the beards. Half the fun of cosmetics is getting funky beards, and it would be great to be able to wear a beard and a Hex Helmet, or a Shock Trooper Helmet.
New buff beer
Name: Bounty hunter's delight
Price: 5
Description: Sweet and spicy mead with a hint of glyphid's blood - this tasty brew will make your skin tougher than opressor's scales!
Attention! Deep rock galactic is not responsible for the following side effects: desire to walk on all fours, endless hunger and thirst for dwarwen blood
Drink's strength: regular
Buff effect: +20% damage resistanse (can add up with other resistanses)
User's commentary: this drink is quite powerful, so I decided to balance it with a hefty price and rare appearance. Hope you like it
new biome idea, hardened atmosphere
"we've recently discovered a new location on planet hoxxes, there's what appears to at one point have been the planet's outer atmosphere, now condensed into a solid state resting upon the planet's surface.
despite seeming relatively new in comparison to the other biomes of hoxxes, it has a thriving ecosystem, with many different types of plants gorging themselves on the thick CO2 in the air and the very ground itself."
the biome would be made up of pastel purples and reds and blues, and terrain would be one-hit, in addition, terrain takes on a very puffy look in this biome, soft edges, round caves
it of course would feature unique hazards, ex. sinkholes
the condensed cloud beneath your feet is somewhat easily disturbed
giant holes can open in the ground, similar in size or perhaps even larger than the hole made by a drop pod, they would open way faster than the crevices in magma core, and wouldn't slow you down at all, and they'd also only give a mild warning to those walking on top of them
Class-restricted victory emotes. There's some I made up:
Driller - makes a trick with fire on his hand
Engineer - creates a turret on 4 legs from mini-mule
Gunner - spins 2 revolvers like a stereotypical gunslinger from Wild West
Scout - lights up a lightbulb with a snap of his fingers
Petition to spin Data Racks like you can Beeg Ores
I want to customize the ship's dices so I can slap truck nuts instead
Wouldn't it be cooler to change the caliber sizes on the descriptions/flavor text on some of the weapons to be bigger? (without changing their models or stats, just the text) Like imagine the PLG actually being 60mm instead of 40mm or the Autocannon being 30mm instead of just .50. I dunno, using weapons with much bigger calibers than usual is a very dwarf thing to do I imagine.
Add a vending machine next to the jukebox that lets you buy various foods for some creds, like noodle cups, bean cans, sodas, pie slices, and the ever beloved sandwich, among other delicious consumables. (some other food ideas: bird wing, candy bar, glyphid steak, hoxxes salad)
Dwarves always talk about it being "sandwitch time" when they get back, so let us have our sandwiches!
Some voicelines could be added when buying food, like "Never mine on an empty gut' ",
"Oohh yeah, I've earnt this",
"Man, I'm Starvin' ",
"Finally some Grub i didn't have to kill"
"I'm so hungry, i could eat a Glyphid!"
"Time to eat up"
"(Insert food) time"
Etc
or sometimes upon purchacing a sandwich "These used to be Karl's favorites" & a quiet "for Karmghm" as you gobble it down, but most of the time you just enjoy a good sandwich
You can buy your fellow dwarves vending machine food, as the product will sit on the little plate it pops out at the bottom, allowing any dwarf to pick it up.
Toggle option for the lok1.
Edit: Explanation: Instead of holding down the trigger and then releasing to fire, 1 press would enable the scan, the the second press would fire. Double clicking would allow you to fire unlocked shots.
This would be an option in settings.
give dwarves pet rocks or maybe even pet stones
Minor tweaks to Bosco on guard duty:
- Bosco will properly center himself around the objective he's guarding, this means being just above the drilldozer, HACK-C and etc
- Bosco will prioritise targets who are attempting to attack the objective
- Bosco will further prioritise targets that actually are attacking the objective unless told to do something else, and is immediately aware of their position, since sometimes he doesn't do anything about enemies attacking objectives since they're not in line of sight
bug capture mission, you have to track down and catch a target bug alive by coordinating and restraining it. if you kill the bug or if it dies you fail the mission
THE MELEE UPDATE WOOOOO
you can choose to swap out your pickaxe for a melee weapon unique to each class, but it takes +1 hit on ALL terrain AND minerals
Driller: big fuckin hammer
50 damage, 300% armor break, power attack area dmg is 350-525 (upgrade)
40 power attack cooldown, 35 with upgrade. 3 normal, 5-7 PA radius, but -15% swing speed, 80% stun chance
Gunner: longsword
40 dmg, 75% armor break, power attack area damage is 240-360, 3 normal, 4-6 power attack radius, 25% PA stun, 30 - 25 cooldown
Engineer: flail
30 dmg, 100% armor break, 200-300 PA dmg, 2 normal and 3-4 PA radius, normal stun chance 20%, PA is 60%, swing speed +20%, 1 stun duration, 30-20 PA cooldown
Scout: cutlass
25 dmg, 50% armor break, power attack is a stab that does 175-225 dmg with .5 radius, 0% PA stun, +55% swing rate, 25-20 PA cooldown
I know melee weapons are taboo, this is just me being bored and trying my best to find a way to implement it after being brainwashed by darktide
Beer mug helmet
Some form of theater mode like the old halo games had
The return of barrel armor
Copy/Paste loadouts and being able to apply changes in a weapon/secondary's tiers etc to all other loadouts. I don't understand how this has not been implemented yet.
hi guys my friend has a disorder but she likes deep rock galactic. she would like to now if the screen shaking in egg hunt could possible have an enabler or disabler in a settings option?
rare random spawns that don't affect the game as much, essentially like the fossilized xenoforms, or the helixes, and so forth. Stuff like a destroyed BET-C, or maybe a dreadnought's exoskeleton now hollowed out and decomposing, or perhaps a fallen wreck of one of the larger Rival drones. Funny ping lines are a must have though
New drink concept: Root Bearer's Brew.
Price: 150 Credits
Description: The invasive vine plants of hoxxes, for as dangerous as they may be, are reportedly rather good for grinding to powder and convert to syrup. This chilly, fully alcohol-free mug is best off with a scoop of arkenstout flavored Ice Cream. Just don't freeze your beard off
Type: Company Issue
Mug Type: A crystal mug, with the handle having the red vines from the Hollow Bough be de-thorned for safe drinking
In the wardrobe terminal, a dropdown menu on beards that have the normal, armored and gilded variants to save space. Maybe not a dropdown menu, you could also just have the menu pop up while you hover over beards that have these variants and add a symbol to the beards that do to show that there are more options.
I play DRG with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate game works fine, but when I start any mission and spend 30 minutes in it, the game just closes, this happens all the time.
Suggestion
Could we add a cosmetic thing to base game for Steve so that he is easier to identify from other bugs
I use the Fancy Steeve mod from the mod io page https://drg.old.mod.io/fancy-steeve
I thought the overclock of the M1000 "Electrocuting Focus Shots" could have a rework and make it a real unstable.
My idea is that you could have really harsh downsides on ammo, focus shot damage, lower attack speed and/or lower ammo capacity BUT the Electric effect on the focused shot is applied on a small radius around the main target.
And the second thing would be that the non-aimed shots should apply electicity in the normal fashion and if so have a tiny direct damage reduction but enough so that you can kill a grunt overtime in a single shot with the right build
I think it will make it more enjoyable to see multiple bugs taking the over time damage EVEN if it's less efficient then to kill them straight away, it could really be a fun overclock worthy of the unstable status. (I think of this as the smg of the engie which i love electrifying lots of target and leave them knowing my job is done)
ROCK AND STONE!
I’d love the option to carry two beers in each hand, then chug them down at the same time.
It gets alcohol in my system twice as fast, which is critical to me doing a good job on Hoxxes I assure you.
"Hellfire" is a 12 round Revolver Rocket Launcher(aka new Primary on Gunner), exterminator of any bug - small or big. It shoots glowing projectiles that act like grenades and blow up on contact with a wall or a bug.
The Concept was made by Co#2298 on Discord. All similarity to real life/other games/movies/books/comics and etc. guns or names is accident and not intended.
Gear Modifications:
First Tier:
- Extended Barrel
Extended Barrel allows Hellfire to have improved accuracy. - Overloaded Magazine Rotor Mechanism
Guys from R&D did a good job. Your gun shoots faster. Don't ask why - Ejecting Mechanism
Now your reload time is significally decreased. Feel free to thank folks who did it.
Second Tier: - Larger Caliber Projectiles.
Explosive rockets now deal more damage. Don't test it on Scout please. - Expanded Ammo Bags
We had to make a hard decission and take sandwiches away from your pockets. At least now you can bring more ammo with you.
Third Tier: - Stabilizing Elements
We added some Stabilizing Elements in your gun's barrel. Now it has easier recoil. - Expanded Magazine:
We expanded magazine capacity by removing some flaws from the mechanism.
Fourth Tier: - Sticky Projectiles
Your rockets will attach to enemies. As R&D said, "sticky boom". - AP Rounds
Now projectiles are piercing armor! Breathtaking!
Fifth Tier: - Gas Rounds
Now your bullets can now apply Corrosion to any enemy it damages with 50% chance. - Overloaded Barrel Ejector
Your gun now shoots faster! It even shoots faster than a Menace! - Antigravity Projectiles
Now your rounds aren't affected by gravity.
make the SPRINT work on the PICKAXE so that you mine faster while holding down the sprint button. it would be like an adrenaline rush thing
To the previous Post + The .blend file
Overclock concept:
Perfect Overclock: Charged Shot
- Burst of 3 rockets if holding "Fire" for 2 seconds
- Expanded Ammo
Stable Overclock: IFG - Your gun now can shoot IFG's or regular ammunition
- Reduced Magazine Capacity
Unstable Overclock: Landmines
- Now every round that soaks in the ground becomes a mone
- Less Ammo
- Less Mag Capacity
That's basically it! I would be glad if the conept would make it to the game, Rock And Stone!
(I hope I will be noticed btw)
hi i have a really dumb overclock idea i call it : rainmaker module for the lok 1 and it would be in the unstable category it would increase the range of the gun and increase the lock on time as well as decrease damadge however it would increase max ammo and add a chain lightning effect if more than 2 enemies were targeted
i want an armor set that makes the dwarf look like one of those chibi gundams lol
maybe sorta like this.
or this.
Need this as a stache
ability to choose on mission selection, what mule(s) your bringing (on missions that allow it)
Mini mules: 1 per player, fast, smol, and easily break down when damaged too much (even by dwarves!). calling a drop pod requires all mini mule buttons to be pressed
Regular mule: the usual
Beeg Mule: the blue one in the space station, its a chonker, super slow, but calling the drop pod will always cause the pod to land right next door to it, plus it could even hand out sandwiches!
A hat that is an enor pearl.
Mission: Nest Destruction: There’s is a Glyphid Breeder that has a nest that we have to destroy and while your making your way to it you have to fight a huge swarm of grunts while getting there. Now upon arriving at the breeder it will be sleeping and when you shoot it it will wake up roar and it will start attacking and summoning several grunts and will summon special wardens that heal her and her only after you kill her it will drop a giant egg that you will need 2 players to lift and strap on Molly. If you don’t have 2 players you and bosco will have to lift it.
New overclock idea: Thermite
Thermite is an unstable overclock for the deepcore PGL that makes the explosions cause a large burning AoE (similar to scouts fire arrow but with the radius of fat boy). The fire would last almost as long as the radiation from fat boy and would be able to ignite most burn-able enemies. However, you have less amo, and the shots themselves deal less damage.
can we have in-mission emotes? we can use the existing ones for victory poses but can be used during missions.
With a new mug on the way for oily oafs we should be able to switch between the supporter mugs and the normal mugs
A gear modification for the Subata on the last tier that increases damage done to frozen targets to help it synergize with the Cryo Cannon as it does with the Driller's other primaries.
Mission type: Sabotage: Rival Tech has ramped up their interest in Hoxxes and they are sending some of their own mining equipment which has to be destroyed but it is guarded in outposts.
I don't have any other ideas i can add at the moment but what do you all think so far?
more glowing parts for pickaxes would be sick as hell
I'm personally not a huge fan of Mission Control. Sure it's fun the first 10, 50 and 100 times. But it gets stale if you have to hear the same voice line for the thousands time. Yes, I'm aware that there's a volume slider in the sound options to set the voice to 0.
But, I would love to see, that the text from mission control, doesn't pop up either, whenever the game detects the volume at 0%. Please give us at least a checkmark-box, where you can turn off the messages from MC.
About supporter II upgrade -
just add second golden badge next to the first one
itd be cool methinks
Achievement for killing a dreadnought with the pickaxe
To allow Bosco to go on guard duty for rock cracker pods
i'd like more fine tuned control over graphical controls without having to dig around in an .ini file. stuff like disabling lens flares or motion blur without disabling other things would be nice
Burst fire m1k oc. Or a shotgun conversion
Unstable OCs for the Stubby that aren't entirely focused around synergy with the Engie's turrets.
Neurotoxin payload for gk2
Just to let everyone know, I have no idea if there's anything already planned for Season 04.
The Rock-Pox is pretty cool, but right now we only have 3 enemies, a dodging minigame event, and power washing simulator. I believe they should be expanded upon in Season 04.
Enemy Ideas - If the Rock-Pox were to be expanded upon, I would suggest new enemies with more unique abilities or ways to fight them then the already existing Praetorian and Grunt.
Mission Idea - Another idea to go with that is to add a unique mission in caves that have been so overtaken by Rock-Pox, that they're entire hives now and the Dwarves have to go to the center to destroy the plague hearts themselves but they're guarded by some abomination of bio-mass or some large enemy or group of enemies.
These are just ideas I'm throwing around, they are in no way polished and long thought about. What do y'all think?
Mission Modifier: RockPox Atmosphere: You will continuously get the Rockpox effect but Molly will have the cure or something for Rockpox and you have to get it from her for the effect to go away but will come back when you walk away from her like the low oxygen
"Denthead" - something like "Battered Service Helmet" but with a big dent in it.
Give robots more beep boop noises
give us a personal "mini Betsy" to follow us around in missions.
Just a small QoL change, make it so Wardens stop glowing whenever they die, even if you don't shoot them in their head bulb thing. It makes it easier to differentiate whether or not they're dead. Maybe make the head bulb turn gray or something, too.
surely i can't be first one who suggested "Big Daddy's" armour design? (driller pun intended)
New perk idea: Bug Buddy. being within 5-10 meters of a lootbug causes them to passively, but slowly, drop their resources as though they're being petted/washed with the lithofoamer. It can already happen in lithophage missions, and lootbug lovers need a proper argument against killing them.
New mission idea:
Molly’s can now be destroyed by bulk detonators, or maybe big litho meteors. We can pretend like Molly was the comms router for Mission Control, and he loses contact. Then several people would get a first come first serve mission to rescue the trapped dwarves. The second set of dwarves would help the first ones get back to the other drop pod. (All of them would be real people)
new terrain idea:
-
indestructable stone: haveing a stone that cannot be destructed by pickaxe, but only by the Driller. So if you don't have a Driller with your team, you have to find ways digging around. That would add a slight more value to the Driller.
-
really big canyons: having canyons / abyss that can be crossed only with plattforms (Engineer) or the zipline (Gunner).
Would also add a slight more value to the Gunner and Engineer skills.
This way the terrain itself would become more puzzle-inducing and thereby add complexity to the levels. Because currently a driller solves all problems - e.g. at "on-site refining": just drill 3 straight lines and you are done - or with more patience every pickaxe, or the Scout with his endless grappling hook crossed every terrain. With these new terrains you wouldn't have to nerf Driller or Scout, but make the other classes more valuable for the team.
You could use these new terrains just in one area or as a modifier on missions, so that you get aware of them before the start of the mission and that you don't lose solo or with a bad team composition.
I think it'd be really neat if the heart stone didn't have phases but instead had constant timers on beamers and floating rocks the timer being shorter on high hazard, making the beamers and rocks a constant/persistent threat the team needs to constantly look out for throughout the fight
Will there finally be dualsense functions on PC?
hey anybody else feel like the full auto mod on the warthog and the oc for the subata should be built into the gun by default and have them buffed by the mods instead?
let us access and type in chat during loading screens
the ability to control the rate-of-fire as needed for all weapons. from single shot to burst shot to full auto just by pressing a button would be HIGHLY USEFUL for saving ammo or kicking arse!!!
we should be rewarded some xp or credits for reclaiming betc. maybe even a mission control line cus as is its something i actively avoid especially on higher difficulties
Probably one of the things that a lot of people want but anybody doesn't care is some sort of Perk rework. we talked in game 5m ago: almost nobody change perks because you have the same ones that are strong in all situation. also, some of them are really strong (iron will, instant revive) compared to other ones that are more situational (levitating, leach grabbing...).
we thought that adding more perks, changing some of the existing ones could be a great addition to the game. you will see more people with different perks instead of only iron will or instant revive (probably the most used). And to be honest, who ever changed the perks after you found what are the best for you?
Another thing that i suggested and could be intrested are more mission controll voicelines when promotion.
Everybody have at least heard the same voiceline 2-3 times when promoting. it's ok, but could be improved. I would suggest more voicelines for promotion. it's one of the most valuable moment of a dwarf and hearing the same lines over and over again, in the long term it get boring (my opinion). Also you start skipping and promotion lose his moment of glory. More lines could fix this and make that moment great again.
Also more beers are always accepted. not only ones with perks, but you can also add ones that have pro and cons. Or add more just for vanity. would be nice
we need a neckbeard to wear with the fedora
The new supporter pack looks great! I have wish listed it already. I was wondering though if it could come with a second set of all the same armour but instead of gold, it be a neutral colour that would allow our regular camos to be applied to it? So we could mix and match the pieces with other armour? Thank you!
Add the griddy dance to the dance floor
A mission end emote similar to three point landing except you body slam into the ground and get up
A mission end emote where your dwarf walks forward with a balled up Q'ronar Youngling in hand and kicks it off screen like a soccer ball.
A mission end emote similar to the lootbug love emote but with a mini-mule instead.
crossplay of xbox to pc steam
buff the he grenade to take out more terrain to it can finally live up to its description
Give us the ability to tame the acid spitting grunts and the web shooting ones
Allow us to choose between Playstation and XBOX button prompts on PC. A lot of people play with PS4/5 controllers on PC and the XBOX icons are either just annoying or straight up confusing.
I wanna see a berserker buff. right now it doesn't feel too useful, so giving it a speed bonus to be able to close into melee distance, and melee damage resistence so you could stay longer in melee would be awesome. Maybe the pickaxe can emit stunning shockwaves with berserker too
When you have engineer, and you hover over his turret on the equipment page, his turret pops up, as expected. But if you have duel turrets equiped, or the larger Lmg turret, the model doesn't change when you hover over it again. I thought it would be cool to add that feature.
Rare chance for mission control to pop up during the mission completed screen if an engineer has left behind their sentry while boarding the drop pod
Important reminder for SOME dwarves to ensure all equipment is on them before leaving. Every sentry left behind means another rise in deployment costs
I have a trio of related suggestions for Steve:
Steves are a bit hard to distinguish from other bugs when in the heat of battle. The glow isn't always obvious. I propose that to make the Steves stand out more, they get a copy of whatever hat you're wearing when they become Steve. Sure some don't 'fit' their head so it might just be on top of their head but anyway, this would give them a different silhouette and thus help them stand out even more.
In deep dives, maybe Steves can continue deeper with the group (obviously it might cause issues with programming to have them able to enter the drop pod, so maybe they just burst out of the ground once the drop pod arrives at the next level).
This one might be really tricky, but could be quite amusing. If a mission ends and a Steve is still alive, then in one of the next few missions, there is a chance that the Steve will re-appear (maybe hostile again). This would work best when in combination with the Steve Hats idea.
Molly has guns on her now
Edit: like the smart stout voice line
Edit 2: “hey, hey! WHY DONT WE PUT GUNS ON MOLLY!?”
I assume that this has probably brought up before. But would there ever be some kind of Consideration of Proximity Chat? it would be so cool to see that implemented. especially with friends or even in public matches
Add a leaderboard system for every map to give the game a small competitive side?
add an achievement that is unlocked by unlocking all other achievements. call it "ancient greybeard" or something like that.
it could even give a title in-game or some sort of in-game cosmetic recognition.
A mod/overclock for the Bulldog that lets you fan the hammer
Mushroom hat
New head cosmetic: professor's glare. Basically a bald head in the middle with hair on the sides and glasses for bad eyesight
M.U.L.E. Cosmetics / M.U.L.E. Biome Variants:
M.U.L.E. Cosmetics: M.U.L.E. cosmetics could be biome based, attachments/effects of any sort (not game-changing in any way), resource based... whatever ideas come in mind.
Methods of earning M.U.L.E. cosmetics/attachments can be multiple... forging, cargo crates, helmets, season pass, DLCs...
Only the lobby leader is able to display their selected M.U.L.E. cosmetics during a mission with other players, you could have it be client-side for individual players to have their own version of the M.U.L.E. but that would be up to the devs I guess.
M.U.L.E. Biome Variants: Have the M.U.L.E. look different (fixed) based on the biome theme.
We should be able to deposit in the mini mules
When joining a Mission partway through you should get immunity for a short period of time to avoid getting mauled once stepping out of the pod.
i think that there should be a gunk plush and have a sack variant too
custom voice lines for when marking steeve, "shoot the glyphid guard" feels so mean :(
Remove piercing resist from prae and oppressor
Add rare animation of reviving teammate where you feed him sandwich out of your backpack
obscure references to other games, for example a line when depositing that would go in the likes of ''my father used to be a miner, until he took a boulder to the knee'' referencing to skyrim
something to do with this man
Random Event - Mactera Hive
Large thick enclosed hive with a larvae inside, shooting this causes it to harden and kick in defenses by spawning a flying Mactera Dreadnaught which progresses through three phases similar to other boss type enemies.
The Mactera Dreadnaught has three goop sacs similar to bombers that are covered in armor and must be broken to damage its weakpoints and progress the fight.
Abilities
Pheremone Lob - Similar to normal Mactera shot but applies pheremones if a dwarf is hit.
Mactera Swarmlings - Small slow flying swarmlings that are passive unless reacting to pheremones, deal with them before they grow too large in numbers and become a problem. The Dreadnaught will periodically summon groups of these throughout the encounter.
Mactera Spawn - Spawns a wave of Mactera scaling with difficulty between phase changes.
Mactera Slime - Lobs a slimy barrage of mortar-like projectiles that show impact areas, deal light damage and leave behind a slippery substance that behaves similar to ice for a period of time.
Upon completion the larvae shell in the hive is breakable and Mactera DNA sample is retrievable and depositable. R&D provides a generous bounty for these samples.
Hives have an increased chance to spawn on Mactera Swarm missions.
Unstoppable (Perk) - Nothing holds you back! Unaffected by slippery surfaces! Environmental slow-down effects are reduced by 20 / 30 / 40 / 50%!
You move 10 / 15 / 20 / 25% faster while carrying heavy objects!
A grappling gun to grab object from away
A valuable fungus that has the dwarves alternate between saying "We're rich" and "Mushroom" when pinged, and a passive perk "Truffle Snout" which adds them to the Terrain Scanner when the perk-user gets close to them.
EMP grenade that desactivate the rivale robots (exeption the big triangle thing that I forgot the name) and that make the patrol bots hackable (only for the engener ).
a beard or moustache that includes a cigar, and have gunner start with it so he smokes like in his icon
A very rare item that you can find in the rock (like the lost helmet) that can call a beer pod 🍺 .The beer pod can contain many types of beer with funny effects good or bad. OR a beer bug (it's just a loot bug with a D.R.G cap) and it drop ingredients for the beers 🍻 but if you're really lucky it can drop a special beer 🍺 that boost the earnings for loot bugs.
A new mission mod that you will "go mine some minerals" but the D.R.G guys lose the conection so you have to go to a specific place repair an antenna to make them send the drop pod.
a bigger perk tree with more perks would be nice. currently the majority of the perks are just direct upgrades, which is kinda lame.
As perk slots are limited, i feel like they should be really impactful to how you play. However currently the passive perks are pretty much really minor things, except for a few like vampire.
one idea i have is a complete perk rework into 'traits', kinda like character traits in project zomboid or species traits in stellaris. Basically traits in those games are often way more impactful, but also have a 'trait point' cost. While this may sound the same, the interesting part is that there are negative traits that give you more points to play with.
This'd be really interesting i feel and really let you customize dwarves even further. Maybe some of the armor and pickaxe mods could be moved here too, as currently they are mostly just boring.
Being able to pick up traits that give you faster movement, but only being able to afford the cost by picking a trait like increased fall damage or less hit points would be cool and really make the dwarves more interesting
Being able to call Steeve by holding down a button because I’m tired of the drop pod killing his ass
side objective: pet 10 lootbugs
new voicelines: rare, random lines for when the dwarves are calling down special equipment(pumpjacks, cleaning equipment, hacksy)
"papa beard this is little whisker, calling for a shaving kit, over"
"yeah can i get a big beast burger, extra pickles, with a side of glyphid wings?"
"can i get a...uhhh...thing? i forgot what it's called"
Maybe as an april fools idea, add barrel physics to look bugs and allow you to kick them (gently)
a minor suggestion
Make the perk in KPI more organized, because the current perk placement is very clutered and for a new player, sometime its bothering me
as an example, this image i edited, keep the same perk in the same row
tiny change but i suppose its much more easier to see what you'll going to get in the future, the more you progressed
Edit : The pop up info when you hover above the perk, its also blocking the perk in later progression, making it more harder to see what's the next tier
i suggest just show the info in the ui on the left, as its already there and empty when you dont click on any perk
or if there's a touble implementing that, just change the pop up info into just "Press for more info" and just show the information of the perk in the designated ui on the left
An actual button for Gun emotes
Solo players should get a smaller, faster Molly
With how often you run through tight caverns full of small crystals that break on contact, there should be a beard style that's just a beard dusted with crystal and rock shards
a summer outfit set with beach outfits
Whenever more beers are added: instead of them just appearing to be crafted, there'll be a little event thingy with mission control lines about how another Longbeard Freighter has been dispatched to bring barrels of the beers, for Lloyd to analyze the subtle flavors of. They crashed again, and it seems the barrels colors have attracted Huuli Hoarders.
If we don't hunt the Hoarders quick, the barrels will be whisked away to the deepest pits of Hoxxes, never to be enjoyed at the Abyss Bar. Huulis that ate barrels will be distinct because of their tipsy warbles and off coloration. Dispatch them, deposit the barrels, and the beers will appear in the bar to be crafted. Also, you'd get performance points or something. They would probably need to spawn more frequently than regular.
After some amount of time, the beers would be made available to everyone, this event is just if you want some PP and early beer access.
Please make it so you can see the timer and the challenges at the same time on the mission map
Grenade for Engineer where he throws down a smaller and weaker turret that lasts 1.5 minutes
Progressing assignments in multiplayer with your friends is painfully slow. We need to find a way to help people progress their assignments with their friend, even if it isn't the mission that they require.
Maybe like every 3rd mission or so that isn't your assigned mission helps you progress the assignment?
Eye color customization
New sentry type for engineer - High caliber sentry. Turns automated small sentry into a manned mini-bunker with 2 powerful machine guns (can be based on existing ones, like Browning M1919 or DS-39, pictures included)
Pros:
++ Highest damage of all sentries
- 20% damage resistanse
- Unlimited range
- Invulnerability to grabs (both macteras and leeches)
- No need to reload
Cons:
- Can not shoot on it's own
- Renders engineer immobile while using
- Can be used only by engineer
- Overheats after long bursts
- Longest building time of all sentries (about 20-40 seconds)
Reworks:
*Magazine capasity upgrade is exchanged for reduction of heating per shot
*Sentry's "Hawkeye" system marks nearby enemies on small display inside the sentry and marks enemies at longer ranges by red circles around them
crossplay with ps4 and xbox so I can play with the bois
i suggest: augment the mule during haunted cave to be faster, similar to how shield disruption increases red sugar in caves
this is because currently if the mule at any point ends up near the horror it can become a chore to even try and deposit, since the mule will come to you, then the horror will be close behind, and if you're trying to run around other bugs the mule will keep trying to follow you, ending up following closely the horror's path, at least in my experience, and it just becomes super annoying to try and separate the two long enough to deposit
also, a faster mule works to the advantage of the mutator anyway, since if molly moves faster, it encourages you to stay on the move, since you know molly isn't gonna end up being too far behind
