Hello! Has anyone encountered a problem - the list of mods does not load, and when connected to friends in Steam, the download is eternal, but when they connect to me, everything is fine. How can this be resolved?

Hello lads I have a huge bug that kinda block me from playing the game I hope that you can help me solve it (or redirect me to someone who could know)
I have a good PC, all the recent drivers installed and a sufficient connexion and so far have tryed to uninstall the game a couple of time, to put it on my ssd, without success.

So every time I launch the game, he start without any problems then I click on "continue" so arrive into my spaceshit and my game suddently freeze and have less than 1FPS... But it unfreeze and freeze again anytime I go on another application (with ALT+TAB).
Weird thing is that first I tried to download the recent drivers (graphics) and then uninstall/install the game and it work without any problems, but the next day, the bug arrived again.

Hope you lads can help me solve this, I can't play anymore this awesome game because of that and that's verry annoying because I like it a lot.

PS : I'm French so excuse me for my poor English and vocabulary.

Hello anyone can help with WTFast configuration

a couple of concerns I have are:
() Running the .exe from the Game folder will have the Steam Error pop up when you are in the game that prevents your access any further.
() However, running from the Steam shortcut doesn't have this issue and can play normally

() Configuring with WTFast using the FSD.exe from the game folder is not recognized but is supported in the WTFast website

Anyone had a bug where randomly, some enemies become tinted bright yellow all over? Like, the colors of a Mactera weakpoint coated all over them, like they were painted. I've had it happen to mactera swarms, and at one point, a Dreadnaught. No idea why it happens, but when it does, it is pretty useful as it makes them highly visible. I'd dare say it could be useful as a feature (a perk maybe?).

Is anyone else having problems with DRG seemingly associating them with the wrong region? I suspect it thinks my IP address is from Europe, so all the games that come up are "FAR" and in Europe even though I'm in the US. I can see US games if I scroll down enough, but they say "FAR" too. Was this reported before? The nut things have an 'unknown material' message on themselves and the 'stem' they're on, but once you dislodge them, only the stem has 'unknown material' message - the nuts have their usual name (forget what it was).

And I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but this little swarmer showed up in my victory screen a few times (didn't come from the victory pose), with a bit of green reflection on it, on my solo missions.

So this just happened after I was messing with my save files a bit (got the error that says my current save isn't the most progress one) and suddenly all the dorfs in the equipment screen were darkened / not lit properly

Meanwhile, this is what happened in my last three solo missions: A random floating-in-midair lootbug in the same spot for three different solo missions

My guess is that if you have a critter like that show up in a previous mission victory screen (from a different player dwarf - I don't have those victory emotes), it might carry on in later solo missions? Or it just... showed up wherever the victory screen room generates?

Hello Björn! i have a gamebreaking glitch that i cannot fix myself and i was hoping you could take a look or maybe help me get the ball rolling for a fix. **Here is the Problem: **I start the game. the animation of the little man running ends and it just goes black. In the task manager i can see that it is not responding.

I have reinstalled it, i have reinstalled directX, i have verified the game files, i tried starting it as admin, i have checked my firewall, i have deactivated my antivirus, i have updated all my drivers, i have reported the bug on Ghostships external bugreport website (Jira). I have send a Email to support and opened a thread in the Steam discussion forum. im out of ideas.

**Here is why i believe the Problem is not actually on my side: **
i had a friend start the game on my account on his machine and he had the exact same problem, i logged into his and i was able to run the game without any problem. so maybe the problem is the communication between steam and the game servers? maybe a problem verifying the account?

you can also make a backup copy of your save game folder, then delete the original one, then open the game and see if it works, since that will force a new save

Someone on the steam discussion forum helped me with the last step (recovering the old data) he wrote:" try to uncorrupt your save file in the Save Menu (Esc > Options > Saves > Restore Saves), by loading a previous save."

Anyone got the invisible weapons bug when you get grabbed by a Mactera while riding a cave angel? The weapons are still usable up until you pick up and item with E, at which point you can't use weapons or mine or swap weapons. Only way to fix it is to ride a cave angel again.

Look here's the reality with network issues. There's frankly a ton that can go wrong with a connection. Your best bet is to go through pinned messages and look at any troubleshooting for network related issues. Networking is far from my strong suit, but I'd hazard a guess that it's probably your firewall blocking key packets.

That was my first thoughts but everything works perfectly. I can run any 3D benchmarks finely and play whole other heavy load games like Dragon ages, mass effects, borderlands, dota without getting anything. Stable temperatures below 70C on full GPU load. Also this issue is reported by other people too.

To me it sounds like the game manages to make a call to the GPU drivers that causes some sort of, I don't know, kernel error and causes the computer to shutdown.

I've been having issues finding US servers, the game seems to think I'm in Europe or something. I just see "FAR" servers and almost none of them are in the US. I'm not using a weird VPN or anything. However, if I do use a VPN and connect to a US endpoint I do see lots of "NEAR" US games. I'm having the same issue on the ps4 version of the game. I'm wondering if my IP address is being incorrectly identified as not being a US address. We've had other issues with services that don't work correctly because they thought our IP wasn't in the US (music wouldn't play on our excercise bike until they updated their IP rules). Does anyone know anything about how the region is detected, is it based on the IP address? Do devs ever chime in on this channel?

This is making it really hard to find low latency games, and hard to find deep dives I can join.

I'm unsure if this game will save my levels, skins, everythung in the cloud saves, from pc to pc. in Terraria, Wreckfest and some other games, I have lost all my progress, even though the same says it has steam cloud. Its so demotivating to start over, and currently I would like to play the game, but at risk of losing my progress, if I will have to factory reset my pc, or get a new one. I hate manual backups aswell, because I always mess something up. Saving them in cloud is much easier, and I would like it to get confirmed by people who actually knows that it will get saved or not ❤️

you're understanding it just fine. The Cloud should have you back.

dunno why you think backups are complicated though : find the save, copy/paste the files on an external DD, reset PC, put the files back when the game is installed.
Even though you can trust the Steam Cloud, I'll still recommend you do a manual backup if you can, just to be safe.

Its just, I did backups of Terraria the same way you just told me, and it did save the files. The files was just empty if that makes sense. Like it was the same world, but everything who was built on the server, was gone. We build a whole castle, but the castle was gone. My charather wasn't working aswell.

I have tried tons of stuff going wrong for me, so I really hate making backups, because I always end up losing my stuff :/. Do you know if Deep Rock Galactic will save people' saves and progress in the future, on their own servers, or what it is called, like in Rocket League and such? Like In rocket league, the steam cloud only saves like the replays and such, but all the levels, items, progress and so on, is saved on their end, so its impossible for me to lose my stuff?

If you've got an nvidia card, the nvidia control panel has a setting I believe called dynamic super resolution. Essentially select the x scale you want then change resolution ingame. It'll render at that resolution then downscale it to your monitor resolution. At least that's how the system functioned when I last tried it a few years ago.

I have a Radeon card. I didn’t feel satisfied with trying amd’s super resolution because it didnt tell me exactly what resolution it was going to, and it made the game look worse, ironically.

I finally figured out how to fix the input delay bug when alt + tabbing while vsync is enabled. The bug isn't present when vsync is not on, but it is when vsync is on. I fixed it by setting the aim acceleration setting to 0, turning off the mouse acceleration setting, and setting the framerate cap to my monitor's refresh rate. For some reason, having a framerate set higher than your monitor's refresh rate will double/triple buffer the vsync and give you crazy input delay, and alt + tabbing gave you even worse input delay the more you did it. After I changed all those settings in the Deep Rock Galactic settings menu, it fix the bug. I can alt + tab as much as I want without getting crazy input lag.

Hi, I have a problem with the "Serverfinder"? feature. When I click "Join" on ANY of the missions, no hosted games will be displayed. Only "Full Server List" will show any hosted games. But also only those with a Time of over one hour or N/A.

When I host the mission myself other players can join me.
I also already changed the download server in steam to be closest to my location in germany. No changes.
Also reinstalling the game didnt change anything.

The current problems appeared only after I successfully installed and played the game on my Laptop and Im now back to my Desktop with these problems. But Im not sure if there is any correlation.
I started playing the game 2 weeks ago on my Desktop, then a week ago I installed on my laptop. Now Im back.

Hey just wondered if anyone knows what to do when restoring a previous save file doesn’t restore your progress. I had played earlier in the day and at night had just signed on to play when my computer froze. After restarting my computer, I noticed my gunner was set back to level 25 and was prompting me to promote him again. I tried loading different save files from earlier in the day and even the previous night but still his level was set to 25 and asking me to promote. I don’t mind if I lost a few days of progress (that’s when I remember promoting him), since my gunner is already legendary level and I have a ton of credits and minerals. After a first perfect session with a friend yesterday, the game was running fine like always 144FPS.
Today I tried to start the game, and unfortunately somehow I can not go above 40 FPS, I have high tier PC with a GTX 3080 TI and a 5900x AMD Cpu + 32 Go RAM.

I tried by enabling dx12/dx11 still no success.....

Just FYI: I just resolved the issue by purely luck.... I unplugged my PS5 controller that was plugged on my PC, and now the game runs soothly.

if you run into modded games that breaks progression, you can always restore your save to a precedent state (which is usually about a few hours/a day) through the save restore option. You don't need to have two saves.

Anyway, your best bet is renaming the save file to make it become your main save.

Anybody run this game on a 6600 XT and does it run well? I don't know if the game was simply better optimized for my old 1060 6GB or something broke in the updates since my ~3 month break from the game. I've upgraded to a 6600XT during the break.

The game's FPS is extremely unstable. I'll be floating around 120 and as soon as bugs appear I nosedive into the 40's. What makes it worse is that the game micro-stutters every time I shoot physical bullets at something be it an enemy or the ground. The moment the bullets make contact it micro-stutters. One of the strangest video game problems I've ever experienced.

Dx11. Right now all of my settings are on medium. There's no real performance difference between that and high settings. I've also messed with v sync to no avail

depending on your system, it can be a big boost on performances

Then that means you're hitting the "reset progress" button and not the "restore save"
or it means you got a problem with your cloud saves. Might want to check that out.

I don't know if this is common or not, but with certain armor in the victory screen, your head is not there, but once you get into spotlight.
It looks like your head grows out from thin air.

you should be able to get around finding them by using the resources we get on mods in the pinned message

Also, going by the FAQ can be useful, not all info are centralised

I managed to find a temporary fix by setting "-windowed" in steam launch settings

Also Nvidia GeForce Experience's optimized settings seems to screw up things, if you have an Nvidia card

It overrides your launch parameters, so if you can, try to go into it and set the game to windowed mode in GeForce Experience before you click optimize

It's a peer to peer game and there are no dedicated servers used so if you or the host's connection is unstable, that'll do it.

Started around the last patch (end of Feb.)

I have:
Disabled/Enabled Master EQ
Reinstalled audio drivers several times
Reinstalled game 2 times (once deleted user data folders aswell)
Audio works fine in other Steam games/everywhere else
Still no audio in DRG

Also, in audio settings, the audio output is gray(unclickable)
and has [Hazard level] inside

Having an issue where using Vsync with DX12 causes a very aggressive mouse smoothing issue of some sorts. More input lag (only for mouse however) and feels like mouse speed is capped and the cursor slides off after mouse stops. Does not occur on DX11, isn't as well performance wise however.

This happens a lot. I think what happens is that every map in the game has an inaccessible room for the end of the mission and Loot Bugs that accidentally spawn inside get bugged. The game thinks that there is a Loot Bug in the inaccessible room and tries to play the 'Loot Bug Lover' animation, since the animation is done when someone has it equipped and there is a Loot Bug in the room after the cosmetic adds one to the room. Since nobody has 'Loot Bug Lover' equipped and a Loot Bug somehow exists inside the room without the animation being equipped, the Loot Bug just exists there in perpetual limbo, unable to move.

aya, i play DRG and i've been playing on the salvage mission, not long i encountered a crash that caused me to loose about half an hour of progress which leaved me in a really bad mood since that time is unrecoverable due to no fallback reward system when crashing, i find that salvage is one of those missions that cause me to crash alot more than any other mission, i'm not sure what causes it but i already send the crash logs when using the unreal crash application, i want to suggest a feature of rewarding players when crashing since i was hosting at the time and players who were playing along side me have very likely also lost all of their progress

Copy of the game on my friend steam account is working fine on my PC, but when im trying to play on my copy of game its not working at all. Game stopped working couple moths ago. We tried every single faq way to overcome this problem because it doenst seem to be the same problem mentioned in faq. It almost looks like my copy of the game is foulty or my account has been banned with out any reason because i didnt get any message and i can play other games just fine. Its seems like its problem only with DRG. I even bought new PC to try to solve the problem hoping it was hardwares problem not software. What can i do?

So today we found a bug absolutely not problematic and even quite helpful with a hacking event :

• Hack C arrived in the top of the room of the event
• I dug it down and it ended being very close to the data repository
• We did the event but, after completion, hack C refused to go back in space
  We wonder if this could be because after the explosion the nodes it was still so close that it remained connected (with corresponding visual effects) :

Also strange : I try to dig below it to "break line of sight" between hack C but only the "drill" part of hack C went down :

Note that all this was very useful as the bot was still having the focus of enemies so we used it as a decoy

In the end, some exploder or oppressor must have found a way to move it because it flew in space with us 🙂

Hey, thought I should share this but I've been having a few audio issues where the game cuts off all my audio for my computer. After I exit the game, my audio comes back but it sounds static-y. Idk if it's my audio card or something. It's happened twice so far.

Hello there, if GSG has not fixed this i will tell you guys what i found on youtube. So I when i was watching yt, i found something strange with a title ,,Mineral throwing bug'' or something like that and i will tell you how to use it if the devs haven't fixed it. So first you need to be the host. Then grab a compressed gold or a bittergem (stuff like that except the batteries from the CC and the Drill dozer)! If you have done that, then do the moves like when you throw some minerals, press Q at max throwing power and if you threw it at the right moment it will get flung really hard lol its funny! Also you don't need anything else than what i mentioned for an example armor upgrades, perks and more.. just that

I recently got a new computer. I am now running a 2 pc set-up. I am using mouse without borders to use 1 mouse 1 keyboard for 2 pcs. Ever since building this new set-up. I can't play DRG without my mouse going to my 3rd monitor on my 2nd pc. Nothing will lock the mouse in the middle of the screen. I have tried all different resolutions/full, wind/full, Windowed modes. Lock mouse doesn't work in game options. Does anyone have a fix for the mouse walking?

If you've got a variable refresh rate monitor that supports gsync (or select freesync monitors), then yes. If you don't then your only option is vsync.

Thanks to Loan Ranger I have come up with a solution to the problem. If someone is using Mouse without borders. You disable Easy mouse. Bind easy mouse to <key>. You have to Enable Easy mouse to be able to move over to the other monitor again by toggling it on. <I have only run into this problem on DRG so far>

So most of the time you wont even need to toggle it. Just with DRG.

Had a few unusual bugs happen recently, not sure if any are reported yet:

• Had an encounter with a Bet-C and a bulk detonator. The bulk detonator exploded near the Bet-C, finishing the charge-sucker fight and destroying all the terrain under the Bet-C, leaving her 'floating' in midair with no terrain under her when the fight finished. The result was a Bet-C that kept looping it's defeat animation and was floating in midair on a chunk of floating ground it summoned out of nowhere. Had to use engi platforms to reach her and repairing it kept getting interrupted by the looping animation. When she was fully repaired, she returned back to normal.

• Bosco was told to mine Jadiz out of a wall in Hollow Bough. He somehow managed to clip into the wall, dig out the Jadiz chunk while out of sight, and bring it to me (clipping through a wall out again), without actually digging a visible hole. On the terrain scanner, it looked like Bosco dug out an isolated secret cave (like the lost backpack caves) where the mineral was, without actually making a hole in the wall.

• You sometimes don't get a visual UI of the Heartstone progress during the Heartstone shell cracking sequence. It continues as normal, but you don't have the 'progress bar' visible.

• Doretta didn't explode after mining the Heartstone. I was able to pet her as normal / she was unexploded, and there was no Doretta head visible for me. Other players saw her explode and were able to pick up Doretta's head, which that made the head visible/interactible to me.

• that animation is a known bug I believe. It likes to bug out sometimes, regardless of being stuck in the air or not.

I suspect it was that the mineral was a bit deeper in the wall than usual and bosco only dug out what it needed to dig out for the mineral, leaving the outer wall intact (or somehow not breaking it)
