what issue are you having? you hovered over the fall damage reduction one. you have to shoot the platform on the ground and land on it while you are falling from a great height. It will reduce fall damage but not completely if you fall far enough

and i have gemini system equipped but it will only let me place 1 sentry

thats why when i threw myself over some ledges and placed platforms i died

hello, i am relatively new to the game and am having connection issues. every time i join friends through steam, discrod or random players through public games the game will typically load me in then i get a "connection to server lost" message. i have done command prompts on my computer doing ping tests with my ping averaging around 20 and 0% packet loss. i have no idea what is going on and have had this issue for a week now. idk if this is the coorect channel to post this in but just need some help. thanks.

my normal internet speeds are around 450mbps download and 30-45mbps upload and i have an ethernet cable in, i don't use wifi. other games i play have near perfect connection, so idk whats wrong.

so my "main save" is significantly behind the save i use normally. when modding came out i played with a bunch of verified and approved mods, but thats all. despite this it made a sandbox save that ive been playing on since, i didnt realize what that meant until recently and now im wondering if theres a way i can get off a sandbox save while keeping my current progress. the only times ive ever even had any sandbox mods installed were before they got approved, which upon seeing they were sandbox i immediately deleted them. i know theres a similar problem described in the pinned messages, but i dont think its the same thing. should i dm the admin the save folder and all that? or is there something else i can do

I don't think there's anything you can do in this case. Everything was pretty much explained and the system is not at fault here. There's no way to go around that, for obvious reasons.

everything that is [AimedFor...] is set as sandbox by default

until the devs approves them for progression

Hello! Not sure if this is a bug, but I'm playing DRG from the Windows Store and since a couple of days it seems like it can't connect to the internet. I tried turning off the firewall (no help) and made sure internet is working (also router reset). When I start the game, it does not show the current Halloween content, I find zero open servers, no weekly assignments and weirdly after a solo mission (also when aborted) the pink candles appear after the mission in the lobby. Is this a known thing? I couldn't find anything in the news or forums 😢

I checked in the Windows Store and it says it's the latest version. Which is the current one, I can check in the start screen.

Another observation, after starting the game it takes up to 10 seconds until the splash screen appears. Sounds very much like a connectivity problem to me.

I left Deep Rock Galactic for some time because the game started becoming quite taxing on my GPUs on both computers (RTX 2070, 1080Ti), often hitting over 80 degrees celcius. I come back almost a year after hearing there is an update, hoping for some optimization, but my temps on both computers are higher than before and my frames are missing. I have my settings turned to medium now, and it still hits over 80, especially if I have to pause to take a moment to answer a phone call. I was really hoping for a little optimization, but damn... When will I be able to come back to DRG without it giving my GPUs the New World hazings? Serious question. I really, really want to play again, but....

I think the problem here is your hardware rather than the game. You might need to clean some dust off and change the thermal paste if the temperature is running that high :/

I have encountered a immortal Glyphid Dreadnought Hiveguard.
And, before someone tells me to kill the Glyphid Sentinels, they are not spawning or I might of killed them too quickly, I'm not sure which for I blew up everything within line of sight.
And, I discovered there was a patch note that claimed to have already fixed this bug or a similar one, released last Thursday or October 26th 2021.

Ok so i play on the windows build of the game and have been for some time. Ive had an intermittent bug thats plauged my DRG. intermittent mouse buttons not responding. Its not unplayable. But i have lost meany missions and got off early a few times because of it. Ive literaly tried every trick in the book to fix it and its still a issue. Hey guys, can you help me please? After playing the latest experimental, looks like the game's removed my "main save" as in it is lvl 1 all dwarves now. Previously I've played for 400 hours, unlocked all weapon overclocks for main weapons and a lot of cosmetics. I have 2 save files, but both of them say (Sandbox). I've tried replacing the main save file with sandbox file, but it doesn't allow me to play with other players anymore, unless they play on a modded server (I only had some cosmetic mods...). I've tried restoring the main save file, but it's empty now (as in, there are no backups with more progress). What are my options now? Can I somehow use my "sandbox" files and overwrite the main save without the "sandbox" part?

then yes, I checked it and tried this solution. it doesn't work. not only my save file was wiped, but when I try to replace it with an older file with mods uninstalled, it still marks them as (Sandbox)

These mods are out of date and have been replaced with newer versions so it doesnt say im subscribed to them on mod.io

uninstalling a sandbox mod doesn't put the save out of sandbox. Would be too easy otherwise to just use any of mods that completely break the progression and then turn them off.

I'm sorry for you (and I'm really not saying that to be mean by the way) but in your case it's an user issue. You tempered with sandbox mods, despite all info given and now you're asking for the devs to take care of your mess. That's just not how it works. :/

Even outside of all that, they wouldn't have the time to deal with every case each day if they were to do that.

They will ensure that regular progress is not locked or lost and that you are able to play the game.

But they won't be fixing your mistakes :/

There's only one thing you need to do : Make sure the mod you're going to use is not a sandbox mod. There's a tag system on mod.io, that's what you need to look for. No tag, or a [Sandbox] tag or a [AimedFor...] tag ? and it's a no-go on your save basically.

(I'm cutting the whole part of the modders that didn't ask for any of this and still have to put up with this, because I don't know enough about their side of the story)

Bugged Shadows in the Space Rig

Hello there,
I have no idea if it's a known bug or if I'm just one of the few who have misplaced shadows in the space rig.

Pic 1 and 2 show how it's suppose to look.
Pic 3 and 4 with bugged shadows, this is how my game looks most of the time, not always. I have this since I bought the game in May, it has nothing to do with recent updates.

I've not played in awhile, I only started playing again because of the Experimental having the new weapons in them.
Back when I did play, mods worked fine and nothing happened in terms of crashes or anything.

Just recently before enabling the experimental branch, the game would crash on launch until I used -disablemodding, and then used the website to unsubscribe from all my mods in case it was a broken mod.

It's literally just on start up. As soon as it tries to load the "Press Any Button to Continue" screen it crashes without input.

Despite having no mods or modded save file, it crashes on launch unless I use -disablemodding.

Not sure if this is a bug so I guess checking here first? I've been having trouble for a while with mouse+keyboard inputs ONLY in DRG, at random periods throughout gameplay (some days it happens constantly others not much at all), I'm not sure if it's quite input lag? But my keyboard's inputs will just not respond, sometimes for just a moment other times for a few seconds, the latter more often recently. This only happens with Deep Rock and my keyboard, I don't have this trouble in any other game and I also don't have this trouble in DRG if I use a controller. I'm not very savvy, does this sound like a bug or more like some sort of network/hardware issue?

The solution is simple : don't let other people than the host pick 'em up if it's worrying you that much. It's caused by desync issues between client and host

No idea what the fuck happened but I was doing an escort mission and towards the end my game froze for a moment shortly after getting stuck on an input, and from then on the game was no longer detecting my keyboard as an input device.

And if you crash right after installing mods or right after booting - it will uninstall all mods (because when the game is updated mods can cause the game to crash, and if they're not uninstalled you go in to a crash loop)

Checked the integrity of the game files. 125 files were not checked, the game finished them. After that, the game started, but all progress was reset. I've made it once that far. When using compatibility mode with Win7. Any other option let's my game crash even before that screen appears.

as driller, if you cancel drilling with a salute, your arms and gun disappears until you do pretty much any action that involves an arm animation

you cannot fire or use your pickaxe

plasma burst for the new missle launcher isn't doing damage

Plasma burster missiles for the "Hurricane" guided rocket system is causing no hit-register on missiles

About 80% of the time, the missiles do not register at all.

missles will just go threw enemiles and not do damage

Not sure if intentional but sandblasted corridors bomb flora instantly get destroyed, often detonating straight away. Was running autocannon/explosive rounds bulldog, also tested with pickaxe

What I do think is a bug is incendiary grenade not lighting fart clouds

Guys, does anyone have a problem with the victory screen after mission? After completing the mission I have a victory pose screen, then there is a loading screen as at the start of the game and after that I get stuck on the victory screen without an interface. Pls help if you know how to fix this

i think you can go to mod.io unsubscribe from the mod, and delete it from the mod io folder

Is anyone aware of a bug where you cant apply chest gear to a dwarf? I cannot for some reason change engineers default armor.

we will try and figure out if there is an issue, but we have several crashes on startup which is just due to hardware stuff, and updating the game etc, so we need to see which of those solve itself before we can dig deeper. most solve themselves

Damn....yeah pretty disappointing tbh. Log on excited to play the new update since the experimental branch is locked in crashes. Now the actual game is too.....I've been pretty let down by this game's PC version
