I had my mule bugged 3 times so far, next time try: 1. Digging under and around it. 2. Call it in smaller sections (1m every time) 3. Call it by kiting, ( if it doesn't move forward call ik backwards, then to the right, more to the right, and then forward again)

Hello, I wasn't able to create bug report on Jira so I'm just gonna post it here.

Minor bug but still annoying. Sometimes when people use gravity recalibration in the spacerig, the beeping continues forever and never stops even once the gravity is reset.

hey guys, whenever my friend tries to play with me, he constantly gets disconnected from the match, anywhere from 10 seconds to 20 minutes after the match starts. this does not happen with my other friends, and it does not matter if it is a public or private match, or who is hosting. I believe this is a known issue but i was wondering if there are any workarounds at the moment

@wooden elk if you ever experience that bug again, take a screenshot of your full escape menu while in mission and post it here so the devs can have all the relevant information needed to try to reproduce the problem and hopefully get it fixed.

I had the same bug the other day. The mission had parasites and i think one of them got stuck inside the dozer and was untargeble throughout the mission.

So I have been experiencing full pc crashes while running deep rock I disabled msi after burner form booting on start up and it fixed the issue for the most part I can play the game without crashing but when i exit to desktop it crashes my pc

If asked to defend the drill dozer, Bosco will always return to the dozer after you ask him to do something. The biggest problem is that he does so after the heartstone has been taken and the drill dozer is finished. It would be cool to have a cancel command for Bosco though. One, to break him away from the drill dozer. But, two, to have him quit shining a light and go back to attacking.

Not sure if anyone else has this problem but once every play session my game will at random freeze, it’s nothing to do with my internet or my computer as this is the only game it has happened on.
It usually takes around 10-40 seconds to buff out and there’s barely any warning, sometimes the music seems to cut out before it happens but no always.

Hey folks, got a friend who is stuck on an assignment. Has completed the final mission over 3 times. Gets the assignment completed message. She also cannot see any servers or deep dives. Can join and play through steam friends fine though. Any ideas? We have reinstalled. Deleted local saves and resynced from cloud.

I can fix the mission, not sure about the timers as that is a desync with steam and local times.

I think I found a new bug, earlier I reported a problem where the mushrooms on fungus bogs will spawn inside the ommoran plateau and puffs gas up from under the ground. It seems like those explosive orange ball things on sand caverns can do the same thing

Whenever the ommoran finishes a stage it explodes, which damages all of the pod things under the surface of the crystal and causes them to fire en-masse. At least I think that's what's happening, I can't think of any other explanation for the orange balls appearing out of nowhere.

i've just finished a game where me and my team were literally playing on GODMODE. We took absolutely no damage from any NPC. Not even from team fire. The only thing that managed to kill me was my own C4 which i've dropped on my self, just to test. After i've got revived - I still took no damage from any NPC.

Well those are most often the signs of the host cheating. Sometimes you'll get infinite grenades or ammo. I would advise leaving those kind of games

Molly bugged twice now, did it once months ago, but I ignored it (I don't play the game that often, but I still love it), just bugged again. Both times I was doing the single-player "Heartstone" with Doretta Dozer. Molly would find an area to chill, as she does, and then seem to have a hard time getting her feet back on the ground to walk again. Even at the end game (I left her there and brought the heartstone to her) when Molly is called back to the droppod. She got up, had a hard time walking, didn't move from the spot, I lost the game.
Sorry for the long paragraph, is this a known issue? lol

I'm having a bug where the game crashes on drilldozer missions whenever the drilldozer is moving, everything else seems to be fine.
The error is

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 258] Direct3DDevice->CreateShaderResourceView failed at C:/P4/UnrealEngine/Main4-25Plus/Engine/Source/Runtime/Windows/D3D11RHI/Private/D3D11UAV.cpp:238 with error E_INVALIDARG

I'm running under debian 10 with proton.

HellChibro mentioned the same error here a bit ago, and presumably was running windows: #bug-discussion message
They were told to do the general debugging steps, and they never posted again.

I've verified game files via steam and deleted the game wine prefix so stuff like directx has been fresh installed.
Anyone have suggestions for how to debug further?

I am so bummed out right now. I have gone through the Elite Deep Dive three times now and the oil shale container HAS DISAPPEARED ALL 3 TIMES NOW!! Why is Doretta even in an Elite Deep Dive when she is so bugged and useless?

Our random driller went on a screaming tirade and bursted our eardrums. He said it was the second time Doretta screwed him as well. Is there a certain way to handle the cannisters to keep them from falling through the floor? The cannister disappeared when rolling down a steep slope.

unfortunately there's not anything you can do about it. i've tried getting the canister back, but afaik, it isnt possible. hopefully the devs patch it in U33

Last week's Elite Deep Dive, this happened to our groups 2 out of 4 times. This week's is 3/3. I don't think I can convince my friends to ever come back to Deep Rock now. That was a super-duper demoralizing loss. We were soooo close each time

in my experience, that bug is very rare, so it might be something else. keep in mind that you can use your terrain scanner to check where the canisters are

Yeah. They fall through the floor and then disappear. Even though the cannister's location is set to where the drilldozer starts after this happens, when you go back, there is nothing.

I do too. Nobody has figured out how to keep the cannisters from glitching? The only thing we could do is make one person hold onto it the whole time and not let it go, but that isn't exactly feasible on a 3rd stage Elite Deep Dive. The only thing I can think of is the same guy always hosts when this happens.

Possible bug found, I joined a game late and when I arrived everyone was dead. However I was still up and able to do things. The game ended while I was in the middle of picking someone up, so maybe the fail detection triggers a little too early?

So, I had something weird happen to me where I was standing near a pumpjack, but far enough to be safe, and the doors that spawn around the pumpjack flew off and hit me, killing me. I haven't seen any reports of this yet but If it is whoops, I will delete this message

Oh no my discord settings are fine, it's all set up properly, even pops up in the corner when I launch DRG, it just won't let me open the overlay for some reason.

Hi!

First of all I really like this game, we play this with my friends regularly. I'd like to mention some issues, fixing these could improve the game experience (in my opinion):

  • The subject of my first concern occurs mostly when we're defending some transcievers and fuel cans after repairing broken Mollys. The enemies can spawn basically everywhere out of nowhere. Sometimes they just appear in front of / right behind me out of a sudden. So they are not crawling from the walls or coming from somewhere just spawn directly very close to us. This decreases the fun factor a little bit. The enemies also can hit from behind obstacles, in most cases it happens when we're defending the "center" in a tube-building mission and the bugs can damage us from beneath the station. And they also can cross my platforms as they were ghosts (but this is just a minority).
  • I play as an engineer and I used shotgun for a while. The game didn't always sensed my clicking, so, many times I was just standing, clicking as a maniac with my mouse and my character didn't shoot. This issue never occured with any other program on my laptop, so I suppose the issue is not in my mouse or laptop.
  • Sometimes the ammo level of my turret does not appear on the screen.

  • IIRC the mouse problem is a recurring thing. That's not the first time I see people complaining about clicks that are not registered.
  • The UI of the turrets is indeed bugged and won't display the ammo sometimes. I believe it's been reported already.

I was doing an escort mission with cave complexity 3. A giant cave way too long and big too see the ceiling or the end of it. I was in dense biozone I think? The biome with elevator plants and tyrant seeds. I had found a lost helmet, a crate and the deposit event. When suddenly I got close to one of that purple glowy orb plants, it opened and the game just froze a few seconds later it crashed and I lost everything from the mission. I was in multiplayer with a friend and their game doesn't seem to have crashed or frozen even if their computer is slower than mine. I was the host btw. What might have happened?

Don’t really know if this counts as a bug, but I’m on Xbox One and the game won’t even start. The game will go to the loading screen, the power button on my xbox flashes, and the game closes. I’ve already tried hard restarting my console and redownloaded it twice. Help pls?

Mollys pathing occasionally gets stuck on terrain during evacuation, often leading it to walk on the spot back and forth. Destroying the terrain below it seems to generally suffice, however can cause major inconvenience if Molly gets stuck on a wall or ceiling.

Whenever you're in the Escape menu and get attacked by anything, the screen shows you taking nearly lethal damage (fills the screen with blood/red detail as if you're on very low health) regardless of damage taken. Really annoying.

But if it's only a screen-tearing issue, maybe check out your GPU's control pannel. Yours should be an NVIDIA control panel or something like that. Turn on any settings meant to improve screen tearing, and have your GPU's settings override application settings. There should be a decent guide for this somewhere online.

Oh, it could also be your monitor if it's a really cheap one. You probably don't need a g-sync monitor, but you do need something modern and recent-ish

Hey y'all, I've been getting the following error report when I try to launch the game. This happens when I hit "continue" from the info screen - i see "loading" for a second or two and then the game crashes. I've tried searching for "LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 3946] Retry was NOT sucessful." but I haven't been able to find anything that seems relevant in this Discord or elsewhere. I haven't had any changes to my computer recently that I know of. The only thing I can think of that could possibly have made a difference is subscribing to Gamepass so I have that version of the game? Except I haven't downloaded it so no clue how that would be contributing. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas please let me know! I'd like to get back to mining. Edit: I'm launching the game through Steam if that makes a difference.

Edit 2: I'm dumb and hadn't tried uninstalling and reinstalling. That worked just fine

Hey, I've been having a consistent problem for the past 6ish months. At any given random moment, DRG will freeze my entire PC to a point where I have to restart it. I've noticed it happens alot when I have chrome open in the background, oddly enough, but the freezes still occur even if DRG is the only thing open. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Guys recently my DRG keeps crashing, it's come to a point where I cannot play one single mission due to constant crashes, literally closes itself instantly. My PC doesn't freeze at all or anything of the sorts, and after it closes I receive an UE4 crash report.

hey guys, i've got a bug i haven't seen anyone talking about, you see i can't access the miner's union terminal, it just keeps prompting me to join the discord server (needless to say i already have), and when i press yes it just opens the drg discord in the browser and the terminal doesn't change. Got around to getting into a match of DRG and watching the task manager. DRG held both my CPU and memory at around a good 70% to 80% at any given moment (My average is 20% - 30% CPU and 62% memory when going through an average day).I did an escort mission, and my CPU and Memory would spike to around 85% to 98% When: enemies would spawn in, lots of particle effects would occur (enemy spawning, digging, etc), and when I myself would spawn in, which nearly made me crash twice. I kinda feel stupid for not thinkin' it before, but should I just turn my graphics down? My PC can handle the settings I'm on (most at high to med) but I'm starting to think its causing other problems

System requirements for this game call for 6gb of ram on the low end up to 8gb of ram for recommended. I don’t know if they mean total or available. Windows typically eats 4gb to function normally. Your best bet is going to be to only run steam and DRG otherwise you run the risk of running out of usable ram. Second I’d recommend eventually upgrading to 16gb. Out of all Pc components right now, ram is actually in stock at decent prices.

You can't launch the game executable directly, it needs to initialize steam which isn't done when that is launched.
Navigate to \steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\Config\
Right click on WindowsNoEditor
Properties
Uncheck Read-only
Apply then OK

Doing that should eliminate any issues you're experiencing with your video settings saving.

Not sure if it’s an actual bug, but I usually listen to windows sound through my guitar interface, and use a webcam for a mic (set to windows default communication device) and my voice comms just don’t work. I can second the drilldozer bug of it being repeatedly damaged by seemingly nothing, as it happened on two occasions of this week's deep dive. We ultimately decided Doretta was just being dramatic and attention-seeking and were able to complete the mission while constantly repairing her. She continued to receive damage after we retrieved the heartstone, so we just left her to scream into the darkness while we went on our merry way.

Every time I try and launch the game it will show in task manager for about 3 seconds and then go away. Nothing ever appears on the screen. I have updated drivers, Direct X, and windows to no avail. I've disabled any overlay software that could be running and it still isn't working. Google has been unhelpful since most of the suggestions are for the steam version. Is this a known issue, or does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

@keen sparrow That's a pretty common bug. If that happens when you're running to the escape pod, you can either go and try to get Molly unstuck or wait by the drop pod until there's 10 seconds left. The doors open at 10 seconds in case Molly gets stuck.

So I’ve been having problems with voice chat in DRG since I started playing. When using Discord I’m breaking up constantly and nobody can hear me, which initially we were able to work around by using the in game Voice chat, but since the last big update, that hasn’t been working either, so I can’t VC at all while playing DRG. I have noticed a small visual glitch. Happens on my system (all AMD, dx12) and my brother's system (Intel-Nvidia, dx11), so it isn't just me. the first match looks all good and fine. But after a couple matches, things look a little off. It's most easily seen on the Cryocannon and on some of Doretta's lights. Nothing game-breaking, just strange.

Doretta produces different light based off of state. Stationary / refueling she produces a lot of light (garage has lights too) and driving is less light. That light is also tinted a somewhat dark tone of orange.

I repeatedly have a problem with my game unloading all collision meshes of sprites, preventing me from walking on any non-ground platform, such as the mine head, using functions that require me to press 'e', or dealing direct damage to enemies.

Oh, there is a big discussion section. Well, I found a bug that keeps your o2 bar full.
If you want to keep it full, get back in or on the drop pod before it goes up. You'll glitch through and your bar will stay full. Keep in mind however, should you go down but not out, your o2 will reset. It's easiest with scout to fall back down safely.

The cave generation seems to be bugged here were there was no large carved out area for the Heavy Cargo Platform to go to instead put it here. Dorreta pulled a 360 at when we turned her on, then procceded to go vertically down and phase through the Platform.

so recently a bug occured: on the mission where i met two skelly crew members i froze a praetorian, the praetorian [still frozen i might add] proceeded to walk over towards my team, frozen solid with no animations but still moving and functional as a regular praetorian, it lived quite a while and freezing it did not do anything as it could still move easily if freezed, just it slid along with no movement

it took a few tries to make it function but this only happened once, i still dont know what caused it and the only reason i dont have a screencap is its hard to show something with no animations having moved

Achievements worked perfectly for me up until their big update which supposedly "added achievements"... But only broke them :'( I've read that they are reset.... But it took so long grinding some of these out... Pretty surprising that it's still not even being addressed in any way... :'(

Xbox Achievements need to be fixed! Our progress was either completely halted or just flat out reset!! Been stuck at "88% mini mules repaired" (of 50 I think) and it hasn't gone up over several salvage missions... Same with Bulk Detonators... Killed three in a single mission back to back and it stayed at 70%... Very disheartening when Achievements are almost literally the only form of progression I have for this game at this point... :C

this isnt necessarily a bug but its a problem with the peformance I have an i7 3770 and GTX 1070, and im barely getting 70 fps on low settings, with drops to 30. Ultra settings is practically identical in FPS as well. I watched someone do a bench mark with an i5-8400 and a gtx 1070 on ultra and they were scoring 244 fps. the i7 3770 vs the i5-8400 is a pretty minimal performance difference, and should not be such a big gap FPS wise.

You have the steam roll on discord which indicates you likely own the game on steam. A known, uncommon, issue is save files not saving correctly. This is usually the result of permissions on the host system being messed up. The easiest way to resolve this is to change the SaveGames folder in the steam directory to remove read only permissions and to verify that with the save files themselves.

They are hidden by default; you can lookup a tutorial for using control panel to edit file explorer to view hidden files. That is for PC though, so if you are Xbox based you can just download DRG through the Microsoft Store on a PC (for free if you sign in as the owning account) and go from there, or use it to get your save back as it will grab the most recent cloud save that you could backup and then do whatever needs be to the Xbox build.

Cloud saves also stop working if your Xbox storage is getting full, as they have a set amount of reserve data to hold that info before deleting it every so often.

Thank you for trying to help, sad to say that I think I'm just going to uninstall, it seems counter-intuitive to not allow manual save options, especially when many users are reporting auto-save issues. I made those adjustments, did a deep dive, came back to spacerig, closed the game, and came back to a previous auto-save file that did not have any recollection of my deep dive. My xbox storage is nowhere near full, either. 😦

The other day playing something happened to me and I'm not sure if it is a bug or simply the AI is not prepared for some cases. But while I was on a mission to defend the drill (waiting for it to drill, holding swarms), and giving Bosco the order to defend it, he simply stood to one side and did not shoot the enemies coming from the opposite side, leaving me at a disadvantage. and partly making me miss the mission, because I couldn't repair and kill the enemies at the same time. I'm not sure if that should work like this, maybe someone knows.
ps: Another fact that may be useful, the enemies were almost below the drill. Sorry about my English, I used a translator.

This is pretty frustrating. There's some kind of special game geography that spawns, like an old deactivated mining rig or mine field or something. This area destroys the MULE's pathfinding. On an extraction mission she teleported to the drop pod at the last second and I finished it. I'm on an assignment for salvage and twice now she can't leave this field and the mission will not progress.

Encountered the "undead death zipline bug" as people called it today in chat on the Stage 3 EDD. Seems like it is known from the past and I can be happy to say it happened to me once in 1100+ hours played - but I am not sure if that was considered fixed by the devs? Could not find more info about it here on Discord.

So the situation was - dying while at the end of a zipline, did not reach proper downed state, so ended up undead, could fire the remaining shots from the equipped weapon on death and could not do anything else. Could not be revived, C4 did not help, dropping a resup on me did not help, could not be frozen or properly killed by friendly fire.

I've had a constant success reproducing a bug on PC that happens exclusively in Salvage missions, regardless of biome:

If you go up the shaft that the Drop Pod spawns at the bottom of, you'll see there is a black void that is identified as "Unknown Material". This is actually a thing you can pass through as a Scout with the Special Powder overclock rather easily, the knockback from the overclock is good enough that you can reload in time to keep climbing.

Normally if you go through this black void you'll either clip back inside the level by falling back down or in some cases you teleport back to where you started the mission from.

However, if you keep climbing up and eventually angle your shots so you move away from the map, you'll eventually just keep falling and falling. Usually you'll get to around 1600+ meters away from the Drop Pod market on your screen before you disappear from the map completely and are eternally stuck in a view of a random area of the map, unable to do anything.

Impossible to show and the sort but I assume this is a bug. After I had crafted 5 ocs and recieveed my prestige reward, I pressed esc and it would randomize the reward I got from prestige (It randomizing between actual usable oc and cosmetic)

Specifically -only- if I pressed esc, which should normally leave the menu. I was forced to press the back button in that instance.

just lost an elite deep dive because of the game removing all collisions and we couldn't get inside the drop pod or interact with any resupplies

So as you can see my Gunner is stuck at MK3 armor, even tho I have MK4 selected. When switching to the armor or hovering over it, the model changes.

The issue is that the armor model is not getting overriden. This means that even tho I have selected another armor model, my character is not getting updated. Changing hats or beards etc. works properly, only the Armor is not working correctly.

What have I tried? I tried:
Switching it manually from MKX to MK4.
Switching to MK3 and selecting MK4.
Switching to MK3, closing Wardrobe, and selecting a MK4.
Switching Characters using the Character selctor. Then reselecting the Gunner.
While using another Character, changing Gunners Armor.
While using another Character explicitly selecting MK3 then switching to Gunner, then switching Armor.
Using another preset.

Nothing has worked. If you have any information please do share by replying or pinging :)

change paintjob to one other than the default selected. You'll also notice that your skin color has the armor select in it, change skin color to one other than the current selected.

had a mission where a xynarch stuck in place and its gun mode was fixed

so I could walk up to it and throw axes into it

it would turn into its grenade launcher form but then when it reverted back into its gun mode it didn't budge like before

yo, we are two noobies enjoying the game @mossy breach We just played one of those pipeline levels, and after completing the three of them, you have to get onto the platform to finish the run.
Here is the bug. We could not walk up to any of the ramps, just fell straight through them. We ended up dead (which happens), but it sucks because of the bug.

My friends can't join my game from xbox friends
When i try to join them with xbox, nothing appens
When I try to join a public server, I see the "Connecting" message but nothing happens, i can't click on "Cancel"

So I’ve got this bug that no one else seems to be dealing with. When I am playing in full screen, my mouse somehow de-selects the window and stops me from shooting or pickaxing. I think it might be a problem with how my computer is reading the window, but I don’t really know. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

You could try to enable it if your video card supports it. It is possible that DX12 has something to do with it

I don't think my computer can handle it. Unfortunately, Dorf refuses to open now. Is there a way I could reset the settings from outside the game?

It's got a i7 processor, which is a bit older so that might be the DX12 issue.

Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't reset the settings, game still can't open. I'll try restarting my computer and get back about it.

Maybe I should ask the devs how to fix Deep Rock not opening anymore. I think putting it on the DX12 really messed it up. Plus it's experimental.

I've been having a problem for a few months now where the game crashes on the load screen

I don't get a crash reporter or anything else

it just gets to the black and white screen with the dwarf running, cuts to black, and I have to close it with task manager

I've seemingly tried everything under the sun, uninstalling the game, my graphics drivers, geforce experience, verifying the game cache, verified Redist, added an exception to windows defender, enabled my page files, did a disk check, and an OS check

the HDD is fairly new so there's no error on that, and I've tried installing it on different drives to the same problem

I've reached out to the steam discussions, reddit, and google, as much as I could and i'm beyond lost. Any help is appreciated.

Has anyone had issues with Push to Talk just not working. Like no matter what key bind I have it set to it just doesn't seem to work yet when I disable the push to talk option its fine. Not really sure how to fix this.

I have lost my save file in the steam cloud, it just booted me back to level 1

I moved alway the steam userdata folder and then relaunched steam, it got me a few save backups

But I still got quite a chunk of progress taken away
