I got a new PC and when I load up game I am like 35 levels behind on the new PC. I am guessing it has to do with the cloud save. On Steam the cloud status = "file conflict". It gives me 2 options for which save to keep and the other will be discarded. I'm worried i am going to delete the wrong one.

Hi there, I wanted to report a bug but appearently the report a bug tag is closed or something, my problem is that there is an awkward generation system for aquards missions, so far played 2 aquards extraction in radioactive zone and they were the same exact cave generation, and literally the same exact cave was in the elite deep dives of this week, I haven't played many other biomes but the ice one yeah I played it once and saw Reapeeron playing the same exact cave as I played it, first I doubted myself but appearently there is a problem with cave generation for aquards missions, what could be the problem?

It is seed generated. The seed picks the initial caves, minerals, events, bosses...

Cave shapes are hand crafted and then they're filled randomly and combined through generation given a specific number of rules, depending on mission types

the magic works well enough for a good few hundred of hours, though eventually you will start to recognize those shapes without any problems

Point extraction has a lower generation pool making it a lot more likely to feel "samey"

Yeah but like the caves I talked about were 100% the same, I know sometimes part of caves can be recognizable but that cave was totally the same except that the aquards locations were different, some "rare" black spiral statue billar spawned once and didnt in the next mission and a core event was there once, so I get the seed part, but I never knew caves were hand made

It shouldn't ever be /exactly/ the same with different seeds. If so, that's a bug, and capturing screenshots of seed/mission details via ESC menu would provide the necessary info to reproduce.

But I would wager that it's not really /exactly/ the same for random missions/EDD, just that you're picking up on some common elements

Unreal engine is exiting due to d3d device being hung in UE4 caused due to the corruption in the display settings either due to outdated device drivers or may be two or more display adapters are causing the issue of d3d device being hung. Sometimes its directx which is the cause for the ue4 fatal error because directx found not compaible with the display drivers.

at least we're getting somewhere

since you told you drivers are up to date, I'd say it's worth doing a clean install first and foremost

making sure the install is not corrupted

Have you ever installed / tested the Mission Content Randomizer mod? I had this problem where elements of that mod persisted after I installed it, including multiplied # of objectives like that. I disabled that mod, reloaded the space rig. and restarted the game entirely (with mod disabled) and that fixed it.

it sounds like you're in a mission right now, but when you're done with this mission I'd ensure mods are disabled (Esc > Modding), restart your game and see if the problem persists

Friend of mine is having a crash on startup when using anything but DX11, but when running in DX11 he gets awful stuttering. This wasn't happening before, where he was having no issues running the game and did plenty of solo runs. This is the error he's getting:

Hey, I tried to do the "Time Well Spent" achievement where you have to put all barrels in the drop pod. I believe I got all the barrels in the drop pod but didnt get it. I tripple checked if I had missed any and checked even in the drop pod exhaust. Is it a bug or I somehow missed some barrel somewhere? Could have been broken if in some patch they changed the amount of barrels present.

So I noticed the other day I accidentally switched the language to Finnish, then switched it back to English. I then started the game and some terminals in the lobby were in Finnish and some in English, and parts of the Miner’s Manual were in Finnish and other parts in English. Restarting the game fixed this.

Hello! I have a serious problem that I am at my wits end about. So me and a buddy of mine are huge DRG fans, but unfortunately, we’ve never been able to play together due to him being PlayStation and me being on Xbox. However, recently, I got a PlayStation so we could play together. But after countless attempts, we’ve determined the game specifically won’t let just us play together. I’ve invited him, he’s invited me, we’ve been out of game for the invite, we’ve unfriended, we’ve literally uninstalled and reinstalled the game. We’ve tried literally everything. It’s not even a router issue, which we thought because we are different college campus Wi-Fi’s, because he was able to play with someone else who was on my campus Wi-Fi. We both can join random games, we can even both can join the same random games. However, if either of us host a public game, we can’t join it. No matter what we try, the game only doesn’t let me and him play together and we are both very aggravated. I got this PlayStation with the explicit intention of playing DRG with my buddy and it won’t let specifically us play together. Please help. We’re desperate.

-re-liscence the game
-invite through a party/ join him without invites ( don’t waste your energy on this one try once and move on)
-check your connection speed in your settings

There is a feature on the ps4-5 that lets you "redo" the liscence of a game (liscence=your right to play the game)
By reloading the liscence, it may clear a bug that happened during its download

I have about 7% knowledge on how to reload a liscence but I’ll do my best :)

When ever a host dispatches a lobby, the game just freezes. And that's not the kind of freeze like before a game-crash: music keeps playing, particles keep moving, but characters don't move and I can't do anything, neither open any menu, nor turn look around - I can only "alt+f4" out of the game just to meet the same issue later.
What do I do in this situation?

Well yeah it is not showing it as an option if you have the framework equipped on the weapon because the paintjob is the "Default paintjob" if you change to any other framework you will be able to see it as selectable.

So DRG keeps blue screening my laptop, I installed the update today and wanted to play DRG, after I have to press continue in the screen where the current season details are shown the game freezes ? and shortly after my laptop bluescreens. I tried the save version of DRG and it didnt help, the legacy version works tough. I tried reinstalling the game & checking for missing files and it didn't help.

@storm tendon sorry for the ping, I will just relay what happened that cause my game to completely break:

1. Played with a host from [MY] with close distance.
2. EDD Stage 1 went well, no technical difficulties, roughly 30 ms ping.
3. EDD Stage 2 went badly immediately, sudden massive lag spikes up to 1,100 ms. The game would randomly freeze multiple times too.
4. One player and myself left the session, but DRG wouldn't fully close and I got a black screen. Had to use task manager.
5. Tried to launch the game after closing via task manager, but it wouldn't launch no matter which option I chose.
6. Restarted my PC, tried launching the game with every option, no luck.

With the setting enabled you should be able to see more stuff in the crash reports- which might give you a hint to what is causing the crash. But again, the legacy build is as it is when it was first released, old and buggy and early access-y - so there might not be anything to do about it - I would suggest maybe looking through : https://steamcommunity.com/app/548430/discussions/2/1642039362993864094/ and see if there is something there that can help you.
Also just to clear up your confusion about my role: I work as quality assurance (hence the QA) - I deal with bug reports, reproducing bugs, testing and monitoring the game on all platforms. I help troubleshoot peoples game related issues when I have time - because I know a lot of what can cause issues with the game (graphic drivers is a big one) - and because - I like helping, but I am not tech support 🙂

Sorry if I am interrupting anything, but the game is unplayable for me in DX12, and I remember that it used to work just fine and give me better performance, too.

The game used to work just fine using DX12 (months ago), but now that I started playing the game again, I cannot enter a single mission without an Unreal Engine crash, unless I use DX11. I have sent all of the crash reports and errors seem almost random, 3 different errors, 3 different times.

I have an RX 5700 XT and I'm running the latest AMD drivers. DX11 works fine, DX12 crashes during loading into any mission.
