Idk about you guys, but when drop pod leaves you to die, you should be able to continue playing till your die on that stage, like making the bugs stronger and massive hordes.

this really depends; the core would have to be exceptionally dense compared to everything else to feel more gravity overall, because you're getting closer to the centre but effectively losing the gravity from everything "above" you

for a uniform density planet if you went halfway from the surface to the centre you'd have half gravity

We use both. I think we start in blueprint IF a designer has made it, and otherwise code if we want it to not be horrible later down the road. We're trying to do more in coding, but designers still do blueprints for prototypes.

Rougelike means that every run is totally randomized. Rougelite means that there are elements that are cumulatively gained between runs.

roguelike literally means they're similar to the 1980 game Rogue, which usually means they have 0 meta progression and are turn-based/tile-based. two good examples of true roguelikes are Jupiter Hell and Quasimorph

rogue lites are just basically any game where the runs are segmented and you get random upgrades throughout a run I guess lol

Nowadays Rogue-like is more used for any game with runs through randomly generated terrain and random upgrades with all upgrades being lost upon death

Roque-lite just means the above but there's some form of permanent progression
