Talking about item stacking, I've had an idea for a special container called an equipment chest. It would work similar to a regular chest, but instead of having 40 slots or whatever, instead it could hold x number of items, like 100, say. Whatever's balanced. That way it would make storing things like weapons, tools, armour, accessories, etc more convenient.
It would even work for stuff like paintings or statues, which take up many slots, but not many actual items

Unknown error signifies the world/character file has been corrupted. This means it is unusable and irreparable.

However, in the same folder I believe, should be a backup file. It will have the world name, but will instead end in .wrld.bak
Deleting ".bak" from the name (do NOT delete the file itself) should set it as the priority file if I'm not mistaken.

If you have no .bak file, then unfortunately your data is lost and cannot be recovered.

small vs large doesn't matter much, large gives you more opportunities to find different structures and items from chests, but takes more time to traverse

so it definitely wasn't a mistake 🙂

if you can get the queen slime mount, it is very fast vertically and will help with avoiding his dashes
you can also use the goat mount dropped by wall of flesh if you prefer horizontal speed

another tip:
I noticed that duke floats upwards a bit, after attacking and when just staying still
so I wouldn't recommend trying to fly over him when possible
