That's just how game's designed, ML doesn't have good design.
Probably suggest just having your friend sit somewhere higher than the boss, there are at least fewer projectiles to be hit by.

I do not, because that's what the character feature was designed to allow, and you can't get all items in a single world even if you try. Even with Shimmer allowing renewal of certain items, a lot of them have limited supply.

Alright, so thanks to @civic swift 's advice, here's the plan for my Moss Farms:
1- Get a Glowing Moss Farm going (I'm going with Argon because that's what I have)
2- Use the glowing moss to make large amounts of every other kind of moss
3- Make the rest of my moss farms

Should be easy. Gotta figure out if it only spawns shrubs in the cave layer or whatever, but I can figure that all out on my own. But that's primarily a tomorrow task.

You need to take into account their spreading capabilities in Hardmode if you want a barrier made before to work.

A gap of 3 tiles is enough to block Hardmode spread, but you also need to block thorns and vines from growing and spreading.

The gap can be air, the edges of the tunnel on the evil biome side can be lined with Wood Blocks. You can then extend this lining a couple of tiles over the surface or place Ropes to block thorns, and you'll be fine.

you are better off encircling the areas you want to save instead of encircling the crimson

i recommend saving only the jungle and the spawn area.
Spawn turning into crimson is immensely annoying and jungle cannot be rebuild easily because mud is turned to dirt upon when corrupted.

The best strategy is to simply run away from it, ignoring the Spiked Slimes it spawns. You don't even need an arena for it. You need to watch out for teleports, though.

Calamity has normal, revengeance (intended/recommended way to play), death (changes in ai and other stuff to increase difficulty), and infernum (essentially a revamp of every boss to make it difficult)

I recommend making a new character because these mods add and change most bosses and add new items, armor, weapons, etc

Fargo's weapons are uncommon boss drops, but most new content is post ml

You should also get some qol mods. Here are some, but u don't need all.
Fargo's mutant mod (different from Fargo's Soul mod, which adds the content I was talking about above): adds new npcs that sell rare enemy, boss, and event spawners, though u need to encounter or defeat them to purchase the spawner. Also adds a ton of useful crafting recipes for rare items.
AlchemistNPCLite: adds npcs that sell building blocks, potions, and rare materials/boss drops. also adds a few new potions that unlock as u progress, such as the teleportation potions sold by the alchemist npc that allow u to teleport to areas like the jungle or beach.
Boss checklist: useful for content mods like calamity, provides a checklist that shows every boss in it's intended order, and shows it's loot and requirements to spawn. Compatible with most major mods.
Recipe browser: adds a menu where u can search for crafting recipes and enemy drops. Also adds a button to check potential recipes for the item ur mouse is over.
Magic storage: adds a whole storage system that allows u to put all your items into a giant storage interface. Allows you to add remote access points, a crafting interface, and more. Also allows u to search for items and available recipes with a search bar.

With a good set and wings you can take him out easily
