It does pretty decent damage for the stage of the game where you get it, but it's far from the strongest melee weapon there is

The range is the main benefit but the bosses kinda feel like a slog

Also, try having at least a fire gauntlet and a destroyer emblem, both on menacing modifier, if you want more then see how to balance the whole stuff

Yeah, one tactic is to have a mount for movement, then have your accessories focused on full dmg or balance dmg with defense

I have started playing on mobile (coming from PC) and I have one major issue with the controls so far.

How can I disable the "tap a space in the screen without a button and use my item"?

whenever I tap the screen without a button in it, it uses my item highlighted in my hotbar.

So sometimes when I want to pinch the screen for zooming in and out, my character uses an item such as Magic Mirror

How can I disable this annoying feature?

There should be a little cross on the UI either under your movement stick or your item stick

Just click that and you should be able to use your items

Ugh. Zooming in and out was just one of the cases where I accidentally do that, but sometimes when I fat finger on a button, i sometimes break my house by hammering some random tile/wall... it's honestly becoming tiring already.

I'm not sure if this is what I was describing. What I was saying was that when you press something in the world without a button, it will use an item on that tile. e.g. magic mirror will be used regardless of what tile you pressed, but for tools, it will use the tool on that tile or wall.

By the way there is a good mobility item called the magiluminescence, you need topaz and demonite/crimtane, which are the glowing purple or red ores you find underground, check the guide to see how much you need if each once you have either topaz or a demonite/crimtane bar

You need gold or platinum pickaxe to mine the ores i think

Topaz is a yellowish gem, it kind of sparkles when on the sides of blocks but it can be found in blocks that kind of resemble minecraft ores
