A few reasons, really! The primary reason is that this allows us to be much much cheaper than other streaming services - coming in at $4.99 which is around half the price of typical services! Another is that while there's tons of ways to listen to music on your own, there's a huge lack of great ways to listen to music together. Rythm was designed to bridge that gap & was made for group listening!

Rythm was designed to bridge the gap for online music listening with your friends and requires at least 2 users in a session. There must be at least 2 people in the activity. If you are alone, you can listen for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the song will stop. You can continue by inviting your friend.

Rythm is meant to be enjoyed with friends, but we also heard a lot of feedback about solo listening and because Rythm is community-driven I’d say nothing is impossible. I don’t know if we have anything planned for solo listening right now but we’d love to hear how you want to see solo listening implemented in #1246508004107485370.

As for a short term solution; users have been joining sessions here in this server and jamming with others or inviting their alts to keep the session alive

Yes just for clarity, Rythm is designed for listening together! While there's tons of ways to listen to music online by yourself, there aren't any super great solutions to listening to music online together. That's what we designed Rythm for! It requires at least 2 people to work but can support up to 20 people in one session for huge jams.

If you're having issues on mobile right now, I do believe we are running into a couple issues that we're working on. Stay tuned!

The blank screen is an interesting issue, normally this is resolved by simply restarting the activity or your Discord client. Could you restart your client with Ctrl+R (windows) or Cmd+R (Mac) ?

Right now, Rythm is only available in this server or to those in Canada. However, if you have a friend in Canada, they can launch the activity & anyone can join regardless of region. We're rolling out to the rest of the platform in the coming weeks!

I have the bot on my server and im pretty sure my discord is from Canada (Idk where I can see the info of it). I can make the bot work by creating the event here and switching it to my server but the commands don't appear and /start doesnt work there. Am I missing a config? The bot need to be removed and re-added?

Rythm now licenses all songs they have within the activity. You'll be able to search songs using , same with adding them. But if you wanna play a song via a Spotify or YouTube link it won't be supported.

If there is a song you want that Rythm doesn't have, let them know in #1246508004107485370 so they can be able to liscense it in the future.
