Which approach you guys do when doing comprehensive reading text exercises?
1- Go through it all and learn every single new word and structure, leaving no stone unturned.
2- Skim through it, understand the main idea and still get your answers completely right, cuz you know such new idioms or difficult structures will come by more practice and time spent learning, so no need to waste 40 minutes there!

Neither of those approaches is necessarily better. It depends what skills you actually want to train.

So, for example, since you're A1, you probably want to understand basic vocab and grammar.

You should do a mixture. If you understand the general gist of the text that is good, but you should confirm you understand important grammar or words important to understanding the text, mainly verbs.

You won't remember everything anyway, but a slow and focused intake of the text will help you. Simply skimming over the text and getting the answers you need will only help with simple fact finding and would not help with understanding the mood of the text or the author's opinion or tone.
