im 21
Ohh that’s cool
i forgot most of my german
Damn
even tho i literally lvied in germany for 5 months in 2021
im so sad about it
do you guys have any b2 materials i can study from
Why did u take the exam then?
back then i wanted to study in germany
Not really
then i figured out i coudlnt cause they wouldnt accept my georgian diploma of school
Was passiert nachdem?
oh
why not
they accept Turkish, they should accept Georgian too
Public uni?
i had to so the studienkolle before the university and i simply couldnt afford it, so i went to university in georgia and then went to germany with Erasmus
what's your major ?
because in georgia we study for 12 years and in germany i think its 13 so my school diploma just wouldnt be enough
computer science
it's 12 years in Turkey too
in germany they take Abitur exam
to apply to universities
idk man they wouldnt accept me i emailed countless universities and they were like yea no
I will attend Studienkolleg auch 💀
thats great!
i want to go to germany for my masters
im gonna finish university here.
But i neeeddd to pass the exam
you'll do fine. how long have you been learning german for?
I'm considering Hungary
Ig u were in southern germany?
Leider keine Ahnung
Hmm
I am in a hardcore course right now
I started two months ago
Only a2
as long as you put a lot of effort into it B1 is not hard to achieve
I habe A1 Früher genommen
I hope 2 weeks are enough
from my experience. Neither is B2 i did go throught the material when i was 16 but i literally forgot everything.
what do you want to study
T kurs at First
im literally a senior and i regret this decision so much
I find it fun
Although I’ve never studied coding
for me, im mostly a very creative person and coding couldnt be further from what i want to do. but if youll like it it is a great career path
Maybe my thinking of my major will change when i finish T kurs
What urs now?
im still doing computer science. but i wish to study film. idk if ill ever do it but in my country its pointless to even try anything in film
Ohhh i seee
But do u enjoy it?
And is it hard?
i do not enjoy it but i wouldnt say its hard. its just in the working world it is very competetive so you have to be ready for iy
Damn
Das klingt ernst 💀
but i think the best road to take is IT project management. thats what im planning on doing. no need to code just know the industry
i have an interview next wednesday for an IT apprenticeship
ayy good luck!!!
bin so gestresst
i´ll try my best
Im in between IT and Cs
Once i finally finish my Studienkolleg I’ll decide
good luck everyone. now i gotta go buy some ciggarettes im way too drunk. good night or have a nice day wherever you are
thnx
Bis bald

Studying to be a software developer is terrible (I disagree with how it's typically taught), but when you actually enter the field, it's much better depending on if you choose a company that has good values.
eh true b2 level is not an easy feat
Deeply agreeing with this.
How difficult would you all consider fully learning A1 is?
ez
Can you explain please?
I know
I mean what makes it easy you think? Or what is your experience with learning it?
Just take any youtube A1 playlist, some apps to learn basic vocab and you're done with it after a month of two depending on how much time you have for it
There isn't anything complicated with A1 you just have to learn words and basic sentences, basic grammar
I have tried that so far but to not much avail, as I’m not having difficulty with the grammar
I did some A1 mock exams and have failed them as well
What's your mother tongue?
ok that's good. Do you know Nicos Weg?
I made an account there but it won’t let me login due to some login error, which I’ve tried to fix but also to no avail
You could find an A1 workbook
You shouldn't need to log in
I’ve heard that it’s supposedly really good
- verb should be in the second position
- conjugation in the present tense
- basic accusative verbs
- prepositions
etc.
it's basically a lot of new things you have to learn by heart
check if you can do all that (that's a pdf download link) https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjw9ZPn7_KCAxVE2AIHHalzDT8QFnoECBQQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.deutschkurse-passau.de%2FJM%2Fimages%2Fstories%2FSKRIPTEN%2Fa1_skript_gr.pdf&usg=AOvVaw2SHxroFZpEQ2YZHTH-bO_5&opi=89978449
I've seen that one a lot
I also have this that I’ve been trying to study. I’m still only in the beginning trying to memorize gender articles.
Before that, I have been practicing mainly on Duolingo for nearly 300 days in a row
My “practice methods” are lacking
yeah duolingo is useless
Yeah cause I’m basically here but without understanding the grammar structure, I’m having a difficult time
it's normal no worries
Duolingo has helped in some ways… I found a YT video today that is 3 hours long just talking about ALL the grammar rules… And some stuff I learned subconsciously in Duolingo, I now understand better thanks to the YT video
But I haven’t gotten yet to declensions and stuff
Also I am still confused on changing sentence structure on who says what and things like that
Any opinion on the book?
I've never used it but doing drills is not bad
try to listen to "real" German too like songs or channels like Easy German
even if it's a bit hard to follow you'll get used to hearing it
Makes sense
I would also check where you fail in exams and focus on that
Well so far, the mock exams for the Goethe stuff is I don’t know a lot of vocabulary yet
Also my grammar is terrible
What level are you at in german?
~C1
then you know what to do!
Oh nice! ✨
Trying to learn but it’s not so simple…
My main difficulty I’m having is I don’t know HOW to practice and learn this
I have a few different apps, but not much is sticking
Like basically I need a learning method
What worked for you? A step by step learning method…
I got you
it's not. Try talking about stuff/writing about it using new words
you're not supposed to get it right the first time
Duolingo
Nicos weg
Anki flash cards
Listening to podcasts in german just to get an ear for it, and try to pick out words you know.
Watch shows on Netflix in german with English subtitles
Easy german YouTube. And at the beginning super easy german (same channel)
Did you notice yourself at certain points having like a “eureka” moment and stuff just started to make sense? I had that today a bit when I listend to that one grammar explanation video
No. You don't really notice yourself getting better until you go back and look at something you struggles with months earlier and you realize you get it now
Personally thefablecottage helped me a lot, then I would try to write my own sentences based on those stories
I found Duolingo quite repetitive, and it didn't really help with grammar
that's why recording yourself or writing down things helps to see your progress!
Reading ist quintessential
reading will train your reading that's it. and you get a lot of useful vocab but also useless ones ^^
du Zaungast
agreed especially older texts I find use old german vocab
even new ones, you get a lot of narrative specific vocab
But to make learning less frustrating you have to listen to a lot of German, read a lot, write a lot
then you don't forget what you learn
i wouldnt say you get a lot of useless ones its more a select few
Ofc not
Ig to learn some things, you gotta be in germany righy
To me it mostly helps me in reading
Yes
Not necessarly. I've never lived in an English speaking country
I mean me specifically, I struggle to learn things by listening, my stronger suit is simply reading or writing
do you feel like you improve your speaking skills by reading?
True tho ig most convos on the internet are in english I'd assume
Not entirely but it helps me structure my sentences and learn the vocab I require 😄
yes, it's much harder to find only German speaking spaces
Yes
I've never heard someone use this IRL tbh
Might just be me tho
Do you speak often?
How would u formulate "Ich habe seine fadenscheinigen Ausreden nicht akzeptiert." (flimsy)
I used to I mean ive given a couple hour long presentations in german
I would just leave fadenscheinig out if I were to speak
I mean wie übersetzt man flimsy in so einem Fall?
😮 I didn't even know what filmsy meant in English
That's what I mean with useless vocab, stuff you know as a native because you also read but it's not part of most people's active vocabulary
that's fine when you're C1/C2 but when you're trying to learn A1...meh
Ist ein schmaler Grat tbh
Same until rn
Apparently it's used for "weak and unconvincing" in this context
Unglaubwürdig maybe?
Okay nice
aber fadenscheinig bedeutet auch abgenutzt abgetragen nicht wahr?
Jup
"Es war ein alter fadenscheiniger Ueberzieher"
Theoretisch
Wie gesagt ich hab noch nie jemanden getroffen der das benutzt hat
speaking of which I know many Germans who do not know a good word for "horticulture" - any suggestions? 😄
I've heard Gartenbau, but got told it wasn't common/really used
So specific
Whenever we visit my Grandpa and he's working in the garden we just say "er ist (gerade) im Garten", and everyone knows what we mean
Maybe Gartenarbeit/im Garten am arbeiten idk
well horticulture is different
Oh
Yeah that's so confusing though, like in New Zealand gardening is 100% different to horticulture
I got the definition wrong then
Unter Gartenbau, auch Gartenkultur und Hortikultur (von lateinisch hortus „Garten“ und lateinisch cultura „Bearbeitung, Pflege, Ackerbau“) genannt, werden alle Berufe zusammengefasst, die in irgendeiner Form mit der lebenden Pflanze zu tun haben und nicht zur klassischen Feldwirtschaft zählen.
Die gartenbauliche Pflanzenproduktion geschieht meis...
This should work
Hortikultur apparently is a word
Maybe it's just not a really common thing in Germany?
Uh whenever we talk abt it (in my case) we just say what that person is doing directly ig
So well Gartenbau maybe but yea
Yeah I just felt like it was a bit weird, 90% of the time Germans wouldn't know it 😬 e.g
Ich programmiere Software für den Gartenbau
Yk I don't like wikipedia but it's incredibly useful for some translations actually
I feel like
@humble sandal
Warte was?
?
Anyway I better shoot off to bed thanks for the help!
The point id make is that for me having the largest passive vocab i can have helps with speaking because the more i know the more i can draw from, even if some words are less common. Also i can bounce ideas of those words or use them to step to the words i mean to recollect
I didn't rlly do anything
Still good to hear opinions 🙂
passive and active don't really mix. When you're speaking, if you've never used a word actively, it'll rarely come up
by passiv i mean active
shoulda just said active lol
a word isnt learned for me unless its active
So you're trying to have a super large active vocab and small passive vocab?
Is what it sounds like
Then you'll just end up talking weird and lacking on basic stuff
then again if you just want to speak with smart words you don't master go for it
True right
You're B, get to C1-C2 and then you go for the more complex stuff
he's also not B
That's what the role says
nah cuz i just learn em all
Und die Rollen sind wahr ?
Listen it sounds rlly akward even when Germans use odd vocab
Nicht zwingend aber ich denke es hat wenig Sinn sich eine falsche Rolle zu geben
So yea focus on the basics
Im trying to have a super large active vocab and an equally large passive one
yeah he doesnt' want to admit it
Words come and go in their stance of passiveness through usage
Oh okay
Yes but words aren't the only thing you need to study
It's like trying to understand maths only studying algebra
Give me a book and Ill go through the words and show you the ones i didnt know to which I dont believe a c1 is to not know
Or trying to understand physics by only studying thermodynamics
Won't work right?
Sure but a language is nothing without words
I can read most books without checking up definitions anymore but I still wouldn't use most of them daily
Again refer to the examples above
Understand maths by only studying algebra? Eh
Doesn't work
I mean my point is just: reading is good but don't make it your only source of vocab because you'll find a lot of it mainly in books
Def not only source i just said reading is quintessential
also easier books are very useful too like die samsbuchreihe
learnt some good words there
Reading isnt everything but without reading you wont reach fluency is wht i mean
I see kids book recommended a lot. I find them harder than a teenager dystopia tbh
But it all depends on the person learning and how they want to speak
How come?
Though I guess Connie/Sam books talk about the daily life
- not interesting to read for an adult (so no motivation)
- written in preteritum
Idk it just didn't work for me
Oh okay, got it
like for me i dont need to know such as "die Kniffe und Finten" but i feel "Verhängnis" so
tho maybe i should know kniff und finten
agree
Its hard to learn german man
I heard it rlly is
do you mean using deepl?
Theres a beautiful line between "diggi das ist so babamäßig, knallt echt mies rein.. dreh mir noch nen jibbit damit ich weiter acker und mir kohle verdien. ich pump safe andauernd dieses neue Brett während ich paar Runden im Cabrio drehe" and "ich lechze kleinlaut immerwährend nach Ihrer aufrichtig gemeinten und leidlichen Gesinnung, mein erlauchter, adretter Gemahl."
😂
Deepl?
Yes, it's a better translator than google
oh yeah that's also a thing, people who start speaking like rappers because they think that's the real Alltagdeutsch even though they'd never speak like that in their native
Well no using my brain for that and lil bit of google when really needed
well in english i can tell u people use that language very verrrrry often
that's ok
y'all
I did do that at the beginning :D
Yes
I rrlly wana dive into that so my brain can from some connections
Of undersanding german
theres a dif between jugendsprache and rapper language tho
Yea ofc
well yall is more a southern dialect
yall isnt rapper language lol
ik
nah like u said here
outside of southern its not used genuinly
I know I used it because having a second person singular and plural being the same confused me
like we say at work every day "wtf yall yappin about"
I'd say like half of the US would say yall completely normally in usual conversation
I'm from New England and I use it occasionally
using it isnt too common but hearing it isnt weird unless they have a southern accent then people will just make fun of them by repeating a butchered southern accent lol
now yeah but it does come from the south
Yeah I'll give you that. The huge exaggerated ya'll in situations that don't require it are over the top
or wanna/gonna/woulda
finna
it's not really about using them but they're often out of place
I only use it when second person plural doesn't have a useful word in English besides you guys
i can tell u that even old people 40s, 60s, 80s will often say wanna gonna etc
and its not even 1% weird to use it IMO to older people i do it every day at work
Those are all completely normal words
yeah but online I often see it being used out of place
like in a "serious" sentence
well formally written yea its wrong
but spoken u can even use it formally
i dont think a lot of people will even register it as informal
I wouldn't put it in a legal document but I'd put it in an Instagram post
I'd probably even put it in a work email tbh
A. I can't find a good example people speak too well here
Where are you from?
France
idk about young people but some people use it yes. I wouldn't
I mean a lot of people do
are there "youth words" you do use?
Those also like to say "men" all the time instead of "man"
yea i had a fr guy online always call me men so much i started using it
Like "Men, I'm not sure about that"
Ok gotcha. You can use wanna/gonna in english
I know, I know
some yes, vachement is normal spoken French
Frèrot maybe u don say tho 😂

this kind of cheap 🙂 https://www.sprintersports.com/pt/sapatilhas-homem?sort=priceasc&page=1

@merry inlet so "da" can be used as like a call back for "then" when referring to saying in the past tense, right?
Ah sorry? Wdym?
hm.. like in your example
"als ob man da Akkusativ verwenden soll"
"Da bin ich mir ehrlich gesagt nicht sicher."
things of that nature. also, feel free to ping me when you reply. otherwise i might miss your response lol.
"as if you're supposed to use accusative there"
"I'm not too sure on that one, to be honest"
i know the translations!
lol i can read it fine, im just curious on your uses of "da"
"da" can also be used as a conjunction
its meaning is similar to "because" or "since"
Ich nix verstehe
Da neu hier alt ist, versteht er die Jugendsprache nicht.

But should it not be Ihnen?
Where in the sentence?
Instead of Sie, the dictionary entry for let me know that I found used dativ
If you use 3rd person, yes, like the english translation there
But the waiter here uses first person and asks the person directly to tell him
But he is technically omitting a word, the most correct would be "Sagen Sie mir Bescheid" (if he wants to be the only one waiting for that table)
Oh alright now, with word omission, it makes sense to me
Nice
thanks
No worries!
I think it’s a rough translation

Any song by Kraftklub, they are a German indie rock band that have some pretty good songs. "Kein Liebeslied", "Teil dieser band", "Schüsse in die luft" , "Ein song reicht" "Kein gott, kein statt, nur du" are a few of their best ones.

Hi guys! Can i ask, what are the Volksbücher? Do they have authors? Since they are based on folk works
I'm making a presentation about Doktor Faust and I'll be glad if someone helps me with explanation
Hey hey, with reference to a bit of Google research and this wikipedia article revolving around the topic, Volksbücher are similar to chapbooks or folk books which were first published in the late middle ages often featuring a collection of folk tales, legends, and adventure stories. Since most of the content in the Volksbücher were legends and folklore, which evolve the more they were practiced in oral tradition, no concrete authors were addressed and the Volksbücher was published anonymously with rare exceptions. Though of course, there is a possibility that my information is mistaken.

Volksbuch ist eine von Joseph Görres und Johann Gottfried von Herder gegen Ende des 18. Es ist Mittwoch meine Kerle!
Ahhhhhh
Hi
I wrote this in the other general chat so I’ll post it here too…
Hey I just want to be a bit helpful here right now, as everyone has helped me so much in this server…
I took a free trial class yesterday with the Goethe Institut. I’d like to give a small overview of how it went, for anyone who might be interested…
Everyone is on zoom and the teacher speaks in German the entire time. They give exercise to the students and help walk us through everything, as well as explain why some grammar is as it is.
The teacher works well with the students and corrects us on our pronunciation. She explained the differences between formal and informal. She also had the students do the exercises with each other and then had us talk to her all at once in the group.
The Institut teachers use the immersion method, so everything they are teaching, they are speaking in German the entire time. That helps the students get used to speaking in German on a regular basis.
Because of my own self studies over the past 2 years, I was able to get all answers correct already. So it was nice to see that self studying IS able to help more than one would think…
Was kannst du sagen über Leben in der Taiwan?
dies ist ein guter Ort zum leben
aber es gibt noch einige Probleme, wie zum Beispiel der Verkehr.
Hallo, besitzt jemand die Papierversion vom Buch "Das Leben B1", das in Goethe Institut benutzt ist ?
@hot cloak can you pleas send me a friend request cuz it looks like you blocked them i just want to ask you real quick
i’m still looking for someone who speaks german to help with my project pls 😭 i’m so desperate. i’ve had 4 people cancel on me in 3 weeks and it’s due today. i just need 10mins of your time to ask very easy questions pls 😭🥺🥺🥺

I feel so overwhelmed right now. I'm between A1 and A2 and I've hit a plateau. I feel like I'm never going to understand this language.
Du bist tull (not sure if I used that right)
you can't get worse at the language
you'll only get better
Weiße Blitz und Wein
That's quite understandable, It's not uncommon to feel overwhelmed during language learning, especially around the A1-A2 level where you aren't nearly as familiar with the language to retain the information productively, which makes the grammar rules, pronunciation, and vocabulary seem foreign. What you consider easy or tricky is dictated by plenty of factors including your linguistic experience and will change with time as you gain more understanding and familiarity with the language and its concepts.
Try to maintain a concrete study routine that covers every aspect of the language you are learning (listening, reading, writing, etc) which is suited to your own cognitive abilities, and choose the difficulty of the materials you are learning with compatible with your level. You can also break down your tasks into smaller parts which can be accomplished by setting realistic study goals and time durations suited for you, prioritizing consistency over heavy studying will be more effective and will help you out in the long run.
If I recall correctly we also have a curated grammar list that categorizes grammar topics to each CEFR level learners can refer to when they are unsure what to study next or feel lost. Feel free to check it out, hopefully, it might be able to assist you!

Would you have any suggestions on how to self study everything on the list?
It's somewhat a matter of personal preference. Like for example, some people prefer to study from YouTube videos explaining the topics, while other prefer to use textbooks, or maybe websites, or some other sources. Basically there are lots of options in terms of what resources to use for learning.
But the main tip is try not to rush it and learn too many things at once. Try to learn each step properly before moving to the next one.
If that's too vague, then tell us which topic you're currently working on and we can try to give specific examples.
My biggest issue right now is sentence structure, and declensions…
Also it seems I’m really bad with any sentence that isn’t present tense.
Okay so... I could tackle these topics directly for you, and I don't mind doing that, but firstly, since your original question was about how to use this list to self-study, let's try that first.
- Noun gender & plurals
- Nominative case (What are cases?)
- Nominative pronouns (I, you, he, she, etc.)
- Verbs in present tense (Präsens)
5, Definite/indefinite articles
6, Accusative case (for nouns)
7, Accusative pronouns - Word order of simple sentences with one verb
- Modal verbs
- Word order with modal verb + another verb
- Question words (what, why, how, etc.)
- Word order of questions
Here is the first set of topics.
Can you give me the numbers of all the ones you feel confident on?
Thank you
Also I am still here just trying not to write too much as I see you all writing. I don’t want to interrupt.
Don't worry, you won't interrupt.
I would be able to give vague suggestions and nothing too concrete I fear which would be based on my own experience with learning grammar, which could be drastically different from your own. In the end, it all pans down to preference, what works well for you might not be effective for someone else due to differences in their learning patterns, cognitive capabilities etc.
Try experimenting with different study methods and resources, whether it's from YouTube or textbooks, websites etc, this can help out with you figuring your strengths and weaknesses from which you can form a study routine.
My main suggestion, as Base pointed out is to take things slowly and not rush anything. Stay consistent with your efforts and consume media so you can recognize patterns that occur in grammar more easily
I’m curious if you think my method I’m attempting is useful
Will do definitely
My only problem is, I have my A1 exam in march… I do not think I will pass it, but I am studying as much as I can
Though Duolingo may be a good gateway and introduction for a language it does not quite cover most of the aspects which come in productively learning a language except mild vocab. Feel free to check out >faq duolingo in #botchannel . i'm sure it'll be able to assist you with your question and be of interest, along with giving you a few alternatives
I have many other alternatives I’m using that seem to be helping so far.
Right now I am using Duolingo because I am too tired from work, and anything more “heavy” would be too much
I had the idea to do this…. Do you think it’s useful, or makes sense what I’m trying?
I am doing this because I am very new to changing cases in the grammar, and I do not know much yet about a sentence’s structure in different cases besides Nominative case.
I very, very, very strongly do not recommend to use ChatGPT for explaining grammar to you.
It's very good at concinvingly making up fake info and explaining things in overly complicated ways.
The problem with your question there is that sentences do not have a case.
When you put a noun into a sentence, that noun gets a case. The case is based on what role the noun plays in the sentence.
So what is it I’m trying to ask? I know this sounds weird to say but I’m serious ^^’
don't trust chatgpt with anything in general
tbh
For example, the person who is doing the action (i.e. the subject) is in nominative case.
It sounds like you're trying to learn the cases, but you are trying to learn them from just looking at random sentences instead of by studying the topics themselves.
So my suggestion is to start with learning what nominative and accusative case are.
Ignore dative and genitive for now until you feel confident with those two.
Ok I will list this down to keep in mind…
Sure. Did you see my question earlier as well?
Which one?
I gave you a numbered list of topics and asked you to tell me the numbers of all the topics you feel confident on.
Ahh
Ok one moment…
I am confident on…
- Noun Gender (Not sure about plurals)…
- Nominative pronouns.
- Verbs in present tense (I think).
- Question words
- Some Konj II
What do you personally feel is a good way to learn and very important to learn to achieve A1 level fully in 2 and a half months?
Well you can see that the first one that you're not confident on is point 2. Nominative case. So you should start learning from there.
All the stuff on that list and following that list in order will work.
However I think word order at this level is quite simple to learn.
@cosmic sun What do you know about word order of sentences so far?
I only know some stuff kind of instinctually from using Duolingo… Like a question sentence is “Hast du einen Hund?” Which would translate exact word by word to, “Have you a dog?”… In comparison to “Du hast einen Hund” which is “You have a dog.”
Am I correct with this?
Sure.
The rules are:
For a simple sentence/statement or main clause, the conjugated verb is in the second position.
For a question, the conjugated verb is in the first position (or if there's a question word, the question word goes first before the verb).
For a subordinate clause (you might not have learned it yet), the conjugated verb goes at the end.
Any extra verbs go at the end of the clause.
For A1, that's pretty much the only word order rules you need to know.
For example:
Ich lerne Deutsch.
Heute lerne ich Deutsch.
Both are correct, because "lerne" is in the second position.
Btw here's something useful I recommend: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/14MPdMqPTH9XVocvy__Hw7cMz5jSXZux-
These are beginner lessons that I've held before on the server. Basically it has the slides and stuff. But for the Lessons 1-5 there are also homework sheets.
I recommend to go to Lessons 1-5 and do the homework sheets for those.
Thank you for all of this. I saved what you wrote, to myself for me to use later.
If that’s the only sentence structures I need to learn for A1, I feel I can do that…
Would you have any in depth advice on specific ways to practice to get to A1 in 2 and a half months? Like study methods, how long to study every day, what exactly to study, how to learn grammar in specific ways that make memorization easier, etc…
On my days off work, I study for 4-6 hours for that day. And on the days I work, I barely have the energy to focus on stuff in depth to study, but I still try…
I looked a lot at the “homework” section…
If anyone has more of those, I will take them! 👀
I think having homework for learning is a really good option for studying.
Well it's not so much about daily hours but weekly hours, and it's hard for me to give a specific number because everyone is different. For most people, 10-15 hours a week is good progress. 5 hours per week is pretty much the minimum if you want to see noticeable improvement.
There also generally aren't any special tricks to studying.
You just have to learn the topic properly and not look for shortcuts.
If you are stuck on a topic, ask in #questions , don't resort to things like ChatGPT.
Try not to learn everything at once. Learn one topic at a time.
Thank you again so much for all your help ✨
Look who's alive. ^^

I was beginning to think you died, where were you? 😔
I apologize for my abrupt disappearence, I was busy telling my pet anglerfishes how beautiful they were
Fair, at least it was better than leaving the server. 🤔
Plenty of people have left. It has been an interesting month, to say the least.
Who?
Apollo and Daywalker, I think.
Daywalker left?
What?
Oh, wow. I didn't know they both left
This is incredibly helpful and reassuring, thank you
R u being serious u have them?
@hot cloak berlin ist/is hässlich/ugly
Of course, I am glad I could be of help. I wish you the best of luck for your German!
Joa, I named them Jessica and Biannca
@manic granite "ich vermisse dich" von Rin ||die coole Socke|| und Leon
😂😂😂
Aber gleichfalls
Ich wusste das nicht :(
@vernal tusk
:///
Apollo leaving was something I got upset with, in all honesty. Though, I would be lying if I say I didn't see it coming. #german-only was not the friendliest to him, from what I noticed by lurking. ^^
ja?
warum?
was ist da passiert
Nothing shocking, happens to everyone enforcing rules on trolls who couldn't care less about being polite and mature. 🤷♂️
das ist traurig ich werd ihn vermisse
und die Gespräche die wir hatten
So will I. Ironically, people always care about others when they leave, or when they realize how much shit the person endured.
Members put the worst people and attention seekers on a pedestal and ignore the people who try to make the place a better place. It's just sad. 😂

achhhh
dafür bin ich so dumm. Hätte den vorherigen Text sehen sollen, sorry
Was los
das ü
Isn't it der Buchstabe?
ye but when referring to letters themselves you use "das"
at least I've always done that 😭
Numbers as well?
"der M Buchstabe muss weg" "das M muss weg" glaube ich
wenn so dann ist da ein Unterschied
genau so
can't rly say "wenn so"
I would say "wenn ja", that sounds natural
danke
