its like the german that the uk school system teaches you which you get examined on in Year 11 (which is 2 years before Abitur age)

its gotten me to A2 level but now I'm trying to learn German myself and im super demotivated because i dont know how to go about it

because if i take placement tests i get a2 but really im not a2 at all, its just where i fall

in reality i dont know much an a2 student would learn, because we learn lots of specific topics but not general conversation

i dont know how to converse in daily situations which i feel like is a very basic a1 skill
