I'm having such a hard time learning to write/speak well. It's so frustrating to be able to read novels, but struggle to hold a simple conversation, or describe my day.

I want to find something that really makes me feel like I'm improving my speaking. I'm used to being able to drill flashcards for comprehension, but I don't really have that for speaking / writing.

I think there's a few things that would help. 1. Slowly remove psychological blockers that I'm wasting someone's time by getting corrections. 2. Write more on LangCorrect and chatting with my German friends more. Speaking when it makes sense.

It's such a slow process that I wish I started sooner lol. Because now it's like I'm forced to be in my head because I can understand but not really communicate. So I think it's a process of just writing and speaking what's at my level (while still taking in new content) until theyre very similar.

The emphasis is just on output now, as opposed to input.

tbh paying an italki tutor just to correct me as I speak would probably be helpful to give me the push I need.
