Yes, stuff changed and now your epic can go all the way to 1490 if you like (no penalty), but you have to do raids to get relic gear to keep the vertical progress going, there is a pinned guide for progression pinned in this ch as well, it's a tldr so easy to follow, for now just hone

Not trying to discourage you, you can do a lot of stuff solo, but you gotta realize it will be hard to do everything
