If you then use vern PP you will lose all the rewards up to then, and the end completion reward

There have been a large number of QoL updates over the last year. Chaos Dungeons are just overall faster for starters (mobs spawn faster and aggro from across the entire room) and Guardian Raids are now only 1 per day instead of 2, same amount of rewards.
As for the cost of 5x3 that was more just time, its "cheaper" but its not "cheap", it of course still costs a good deal of gold and of course you still have to actually play to get said gold.

it'll likely say its not complete and the start requirement isn't either, you can click through the start requirement names to get back to the first quest you don't have done and start there

but you should instead use bound mats like the leapstones you would get from chaos
