Regarding Interface, I'm curious to know whether the Application Reader uses the Application guidelines to review the application, and not judging by their feelings or whatever.

I spoke to a friend , Niki, he's an AR for interface. He said something similar to "depending on the AR", then I asked, "so the AR doesn't follow the guidelines and they just approve or deny based on what they think is ' sophisticated ', for e.g.", then he corrected himself and said that they do use the guidelines, and also use their experience for sophistication, etc.

So I just wanted to actually confirm if what he said is factual or not.

Application Readers (ARs) do their best to uphold consistency. Application Rules (not guidelines) are followed by all the Application Rules. We ensure that applications are appropriately approved/ denied as per the Application Rules, all ARs follow the rules as well as a set of internal protocols that dicate their decisions and actions. At times, there are applications that are on the borderline of being approved/ denied taking into consideration various aspects - taking example of 'Interface Designer' for instance, major aspects such as visual appeal and depth, sufficient ui components, ux, padding and spacing, effects consistency and detailing are key. Whereas, certain other minor aspects like icons, decorations, techniques, hierarchy, flow, accessibility are expected. Not all aspects need to be present but the major aspects and certain minor aspects.

Reviewing is at the end of the day based on logic and experience (all ARs undergo training and an internship period with regular checks), so we try to ensure that only those deserving of a skill role and demonstrating intermediate level of proficiency, get the skill role. At times, this consistency cannot be maintained due to genuine false approvals (mistakes/ intentional) - in which case the concerned application is re-reviewed and the verdict is rectified. The concerned AR is also notified of their mistake, so that this doesn't happen again. And if it is a pattern, then they are retrained and monitored, and if still questionable - they are removed from the team. In a nutshell, applications are meant to be consistent and ARs try the best based on Application Rules and logic + experience. But there are always some false positives/ differences (as human tendency goes). So, if anyone falsely acquires a skill role and you see such an individual in the marketplace, feel free to report to us by creating an Application Ticket using /ticket command. However, for the most part things are quite consistent and well-checked on multiple ends.

Mostly just put a price you think is appropriate for your work, depending on your skill but I'd say lower the price a bit only if after weeks you don't get any catchea

Always discuss prices with the person whom is hiring you and never pick up a com that seems sketchy

As there are ppl whom want you to hand in your work and not pay at all

But you can always report those ppl in cmds
