Probably a recording of a working system. In roblox most backend code affect the frontend too (other than things like datastores) so you should be able to prove your skills by recording videos of almost any working game-systems

Hey everyone, quick question, could really use some help here.
A few months ago, I hired a scripter and everything started off great. I had all assets ready and just needed his part done. We got about halfway through the project, then things slowed down, he stopped working as much but stayed loosely in contact in a way it worked but just with slower progress.
Eventually, he said he was going on vacation. A few days later (23rd July), he messaged me saying his phone got stolen but he’d be back and working again by the 25th. Since then, nothing. He’s completely ghosted me.
I’ve already paid 200 EUR of the agreed 400, and the game is now stuck in a semi-finished state.
Note: I’ve already spent quite a lot on this game just for the assets. This is literally all that’s left to get it finished. But hiring a new dev now would be way too expensive, especially since the game’s already halfway done, and honestly, I’m starting to feel kinda scammed… But I need to get my dream project done somehow..
Anyone got advice or seen something like this before?

Again I think staff is misunderstanding which is okay, I weed out kids by saying that stuff and the staff member only quoted part of the actual message.

How to post
In our marketplace (#marketplace-info), we have 2 different ways of making a post; a hiring and hireable post.
Hiring posts are posts which allows you to seek for developers.
Hireable posts allow people who are hiring to find you.

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice on something that’s gotten kinda rough for me.
A few months back, I hired a dev to help finish a game I’ve been working on, had all assets ready etc. At first everything went great, we were making solid progress, I had all the assets and planning ready, and I paid him 200 EUR upfront out of the 400 we agreed on. We got to about the halfway mark.
But then stuff started slowing down. First he said work was draining him, then he went on vacation, then his phone got stolen… the last message I got was over a month ago saying he’d be back on July 25th.
Since then? Nothing. No replies on Discord, no response to my one try to email him. I’ve seen him online on Steam playing CS, even updating his Discord status, so now im thinking he’s definitely around, just completely ignoring me.
Now I’m stuck with a half-finished game, 200 EUR down (which I really saved up for), and not even a clue if he plans to come back. I don’t even want to report him just to get him banned or whatever, I’m not trying to start drama. I just genuinely want to finish this project. It means a lot to me and we were finally making progress.
So I’m torn. Would opening a support ticket just to try and re-establish contact make sense? Or would that just push him away even more? I feel kinda dumb just waiting, but also really scared this whole thing might just fizzle out after putting so much time, money, and energy into it.
The truth is, even if I open a ticket, the only outcome might be that he continues ignoring me/the ticket, maybe gets banned from the server (which he might not even care about), and I still lose the important 200 EUR I saved up for. I'm also scared it might just make him avoid me even more.
I’ve still got his email and what I think is his legal name, but no idea if that helps. Should I keep trying? Or just accept that I got ghosted and move on? Any advice would honestly help right now.
