Handling Commissions

The following is the best way to treat a commission:

My marketplace post was rejected. I opened a ticket, to which a staff member replied on the 7th, but I have received no further communications; I am following up here in accordance with instructions if I don't receive a reply.

My marketplace post reads as follows -

Need scripter for a sportsbook simulator.

System will import live scores and odds from Fanduel using existing API. Scripter should be able to translate this into a system for showing available games, placing "guesses", and awarding points based on odds.

Will require knowledge of working with datastores and APIs; creating a database (with scripts or Roblox instances) of known matches; and basic mathematics.

Scripter should be able to do their own UI design; does NOT need to be a complicated or image-heavy UI. Should be similar to irl sportsbook designs like Fanduel.

Flexible on payment; able to pay hourly, as a whole commission, or on a percent basis for ongoing maintenance and updates.```

Rejection reason is as follows - 

```Gambling games are against TOS```

The game as designed is fully within the ToS; Our system will not involve gambling, just guessing the outcome of games. Users are awarded points for correct guesses, but there's no wager or loss. This is allowed under Roblox's guidelines - which allow references to gambling (which a sportsbook inherently is), as long as no actual gambling (defined as spending one currency on a game of chance, rewarding either 1. that same currency or 2. risking no reward at all) is present in the game. 

See games like Plinko RNG, Ben's Casino, and other games which work in the same manner. You can have a gambling-*themed* game as long as it doesn't involve a wager. But in our case - where there is no money/wager spent to play, and you get unlimited plays, just points rewarded when you're correct - it's fully within the ToS.

tl;dr it is a gambling themed game, which involves no actual gambling. In our post we use the title "sportsbook simulator" since that is the closest approximation for what we're trying to build, at least in terms of theme. But it's effectively just a game where you guess the winner of sports matches, without any wager or payment.
