Go into your game files. there is 2 executables. one is named war.exe and the other one under War\Binaries\Win64\ is named War-Win64-Shipping.exe

right click on both -> compatiblity -> disable full screen optimization

For unreal engine based games, yes. If it is being a real pain uninstalling and reinstalling will get fresh files, without steam needing to unpack and repack the game to update it.

Now that I think about it you could try verifying files, but don't know if steam will let you do that if there is an update

people say my mic is crackling, I've tested reducing my input volume a lot and they say its still crackling even at low volume, I just recorded a sample using audacity and its sounds fine.

I also use voice comms for other games and usually I get comments on how good it sounds.

Go into your windows input device settings and try lowering the frequency. Maybe its way too high quality for the game to handle. Try something like 24 bit 44100Hz or less

long answer: you can get inside and shoot any weapon you have on you (except mortars and maybe some other things) but you can't shoot the weapon of the garrison itself. This is true for all garrisons except anti tank garrison and howi garrison which you can't get inside of

the queue priority system is a bit weird

you could try and go to a nearby region and border cross with a truck. it should be a lot faster to cross the border than to deploy from home region

solution 1:
make sure voice chat ingame is enabled. press U and check chat for orange message "voice chat enabled/disabled"

solution 2:
ingame go to options > voice > input device
and make sure its your "system default." and NOT "system default communications device" as this might be causing the problem.

solution 3:
ingame press shift+tab to bring up the steam menu and on your friends list click on the gear icon on the top right and make sure your ingame input/output devices are the same as your steam input/output devices.

I strongly suspect it will not work. Foxhole isn't supported on Mac at all, and adding a VM to that is just going to make it a lot harder. I wouldn't expect it to work out of the box, and getting it to work would probably be a lot of trial and error in your VM settings (If possible at all.)

I'm really sorry for asking this again, but every day steam downloads the same unexisting update. And because it is broken, the download speed drops to just a bit higher than 0 and I'm basically unable to play. I believe it does that every time a new update is uploaded, but it then basically reinstalls the whole game. Has anyone seen this before?

Hey guys, I'm really sorry if this doesnt go here at all. Im new to the discord and I've been playing foxhole again like for 2 weeks. I recently bought a new PC and installed foxhole 2 days ago, and after a while I got a crash and subsequently an error. Maybe anyone of you knows what it might be? I've tried verifying steam files and updating my nvidia driver... but that hasn't worked.

Which is not a foxhole problem but a UE4 error

And it's tied to UE4 not liking something about your GPU

Easiest fixes are to make sure it's using that GPU, make sure your PSU is supplying power correctly to the GPU, and making sure the GPU is properly seated on the motherboard

Revert didn't work for me and I tried plenty of things already, will give it a shoot another months maybe an update or some random shit will solve it for me... randomly. It's just a loss of time at this point. Blackscreen into closes the game will win this time tbh... especially when every other games work fine

Go to Settings -> Privacy > Diagnostics & Feedback in your windows settings, for the crash reporter to work you need to set "Diagnostic and Usage Data" to either "Enhanced or Full"

At one point I tried breaking my computer so it wouldn't launch foxhole, so I knew what was broken

My windows is has also been tossed around on different drives, cloned from hard drives to solid states. Cloned from smaller solid state to a bigger one and then had some third party increase the partition jankily. I also have the processor doing graphics for other monitors which sometimes causes issues, but usually everything can figure out how to use the GPU instead of the iGPU

this is a very, very crude example, but the ports on the right are motherboard, while the horizontal port on the bottom is video card. Your ports will not look like this at all, but the orientation is gonna be close to the same.

i feel like the GPU should be able to install some basic 'get it working' drivers through the PCIE, but i'm not sure
