Something is preventing the Foxhole servers from communicating with your computer then. Are you using a VPN? Also make sure your Windows firewall allows Foxhole traffic

I am experiencing the same connection issues that three others players are having. I have brought this up before around the first of July and went through technical chat. Adjusting, tweaking, restarting and reseting, so at that point I was again to go through my settings. At this point I can't even stay in the game for more then 5 minutes or never even loads in, my voice chat doesn't work, my vehicles are left in the way of my team, any logistical task takes three times longer. It's frustrating for me, I love playing this game, the only game that fulfills the (the soldier in the army role). So I'm not being critical of the game or its community.

With all this said what should I do. I am expecting a half assed response that will make me go away for a week or so, but not fix anything 😕 -Dango

vivox uses dedicated servers so it does not reveal your ip

and it has been widely discussed online the vulnerabilities it has in exposing IP, and while I don't care about whether it could be used to locate someone, I am more concerned with being attacked by denial of service, because you know, some people take these games way too seriously

vivox uses SIP as a protocol to relay voice to multiple users, it's not centralized at all, in fact it is more peer-to-peer and the server only facilitates traffic flow

hence why you get more lag in congested areas than in an unpopulated part of the map - you are downloading all the bits from each player independently instead of having the audio combined and sent by just a server

The SIP protocol can be peer-to-peer, but Vivox doesn't use it that way

well it's interesting that if I disable voice chat in the game, I never have any trouble, but if it's enabled, often my whole internet connection gets knocked out to completely offline until I flush and reassign, and for a long time I suspected it was the voice chat, and after some googling, one can find quite a bit of info about how it exposes IP addresses to others on the voice chat

I also never have this problem on discord with 20 people all talking at once

If i'm to speculate: when checking buildings in upgrade mode, it takes a while to load the original builder instead of it being an instantly accessible quality

it's likely buildings do not use original builder identity for prompting instances of friendly damage logging

best you can do really is to be careful and ask a teammate for help breakinng blueprints if you had to break a bunch of your own prints recently

bunker and trench blueprints will have snapping enabled for construction preview (even before your new blueprint functionality comes off cooldown) so you can check an extra structure ahead of any 1 shoveled blueprints for collision or terrain unsuitability if you're quick

@ruby island when playing. It just happens randomly but consistently. Some days no crashes, other days it will happen 3/4 times in a session. Restarting my computer helps fix it 80% to 90% of the time I would say.

This helped me, but I can't stop thinking there is another issue along the way because I have quite a few microphone issues that come in and out when I play.

Every other game works fine. It happens usually like this: join Home World, deploy, after some seconds it will disconnect me. If I am not disconnected in like a minute, then I can't travel to other hexagons, because I'm likely to disconnect.

If I route 4G internet from my phone to my computer then I can play it — so it is not a PC problem or high ping problem (the ping on 4G is obviously higher). I also tested for packet loss, not happening.

So I bought the game on my girlfriends steam by accident back in war 71, played collies, got bored, forgot about foxhole. Decided to jump back on, bought it on my account this time, been playing this war as wardens for 5 days now. I just tried to log into shard 1 and it said I was playing on an alt, and that I would be banned if I played on the opposing side, and to type accept? WTF? Is it pulling collie data from 71 and if I continue to go warden as I have I'm banned? Or is it a glitch and as long as I stay warden I'm gucci?

You won't be automatically banned for that, the game does not use any auto-banning systems.

Unless you actually use the other steam account, and play with it in a live war while also playing on your current account on either side then it might cause an issue

So the war says it has been going on for 240 in game days right? At least for Shard 2. So if an in-game days lasts about 1 hour in real life, that would only mean 10 days. Hi, I'm having issues with my audio in foxhole when I connect my headset, I didn't have any issues until last night. Pretty much when I connect my headphones and boot up Foxhole, my game audio will play for about 2-3 seconds then no audio will come through my headset at all, not even from other programs such as Spotify. I was hoping I could find a fix here since I can't find anything that works on reddit or steam forums

Also, does it come back at all? Like after closing foxhole? Or do you have to unplug/replug (or if wireless, shut off and turn on) headphones? Or do you have to restart the computer?

so when the game is running I know what it's process is called , I watch on my second monitor for when I close the game, it goes away, all checks out, but steam still says its there, when I quit there is no other instance of foxhole running in task manager, at least that has a relatively recognizable name to the game

hmm, i was thinking about getting foxhole and im just curious how the world is handled by servers... is there just one world and game going on at the time or are wars like continent specific with ie. Europe having different war and "map" than north america and where are servers located and is high ping (if you live far away from where ever servers are located) really a problem when playing, or is it like... ie. minecraft where you sometimes barely notice it being high
