actually MoltenVK can act as driver for vulkan and you could probably get proton working if you compile it

i dont know how good it will be as MoltenVK seems to not support all of vulkan

8gb is enough to run the game, and I don't think that's an issue - but GRAM is a thing for the game

The game uses pretty big texture files, which can max out the GRAM and that causes stuttering or freezing

ok updated drivers a bit ago but not playing atm, going to take the rest of the day for other things, however i got another question would this game benefit from ssd caching + ram caching(i got it on hdd however as long as data is loaded more than two times it gets cached by a smart algorithm of a program i got called primo cache)

It'd benefit by being on an SSD, and if possible, I would disable that program. That program may be causing issues loading textures or other things within the game.

ok did some testing but i think i cant count on this testing session to much for reliable data in terms of fps as my pc had some things that where taking a fair bit of resources so when i wake up i should probably have it at a point where i can attempt a test without as much going on at same time, also can this game be affected by buffer bloat, i have sometimes a bit of it and i need to know in advance if this game has issues when one has buffer bloat

i had in past games with online components give me fps drops and problems due to buffer boat so am trying to also rule out if this is a case or not

packets get queued up and depending on the algorithm used determines in what priority the packets leave

So, my issue is pretty weird, Since this afternoon, I've been playing as if I had 2000 ping. I see vehicles and players run in walls, stall there for a minute, and then teleport to another location. Sometimes I just die without seeing what killed me in friendly territory. When I take stuff in bases, it takes about 3 to 4 seconds before it actually gets to my inventory after assembly. When I interact with bases, it takes a certain time before I can see what's in them, and sometimes it just doesn't show at all. I bought the game some time ago already and I love it, it would be a shame if I'm not able to play anymore. If necessary, my Internet connection is at a ping of 6ms with about 150Mbps up and down, I have 32Gb of RAM, and a SSD. I know that's fairly long to read but I'd be glad to know on which side the problem is, so I can choose between rethinking my informatic knowledge or simply wait until it cools off. Within each shard is the different maps, and each map is it's own server

Then there's a backend which handles data transfer between those servers (and stuff like showing you inventories, and that type of thing)

the game likes to load the map beyond the border and freezes the game in the process

@terse flume I was chatting with someone before Brett in the bug reports, Ive got the same problem but with only one region. anywhere else is just laggy as all hell. unplayable atm, but the guy said sounded like a server side issuse, so maybe they will so a reboot or something.

Try in a backline region since less lag, once connected see if you can trable.

alright next try changing dns to googles dns by going to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > right click currently in use adapter > properties > double click ipv4 then change it use use the following dns servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as preferred and alternative respectively then open a admin command prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns
