The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

How 2 Auto Message
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Auto Message module is enabled.
4. Click on the Settings button underneath the Auto Message module.
5. Click on the Create Automessage button to begin creating your message.
6. Select the channel you want the message to be sent in and if you want it to be Repeating or One Time.
7. (Repeating) Select the interval for when you want the message to be posted.
~~ For non-premium servers, the interval can only be between 1 hour and 3 days, and you can only have one Auto Message per server.
8. Select the time for the first post and customize your message.
9. Click Save Message and you're all set!

Command Settings endlessgears

This guide will show you how to limit certain commands/modules to specific roles or channels.
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/account, login if necessary, and select your server.
2. Click on the Commands tab.
3. Navigate to the command/module(s) you want to limit, and click the ⚙ Settings button.
4. Choose the roles or channels you want to limit the command to in the Allowed Roles box.
Note: You only need to select either Allowed or Disabled. Setting allowed roles will automatically disable all other roles.

Dyno is simply a service used to moderate users, and as such, Dyno Staff cannot help you with moderation issues from other servers. If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

The Tags module allows users to create, edit, delete and post tags. Tags are used to store information that can be used later on. When you create a tag, you can then call that tag with the ?tag command, and Dyno will post the full message for you in the channel.
An example would be: ?tag create bananas NoobLance likes bananas.
Then after typing ?tag bananas Dyno would post the content: "NoobLance likes bananas."

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

To make mute work in PrivateChannel private channels make sure that the permissions in the channel are set as follows:
For the Dyno Role Manage Permissions notSelected dynoSuccess
For the Muted Role Send Messages dynoError
For Allowed Roles View Channel Send Messages Neutral
For the @everyone role View Channel Send Messages Neutral

Always use View Channel to control access to private channels. As this will mean only those with roles that can see the channel will be able to access and chat there, while still being able to be muted.

Discord's API does not allow bulk deletion of messages after 14 days.
Therefore Dyno cannot purge past this point. If you get an error, check if Dyno has both the Manage Messages and Read Message History permissions, or try purging a smaller number. If you would like to remove all messages in a channel the easiest way is to clone and delete the channel, all current permissions/settings will be transferred to the new channel.

The reason you may see all servers you are in with Dyno via dyno.gg/account is because of the way Discord handles authentication and the fact we now allow you to add Manager Roles via the dashboard.
Servers you have permissions in and edit often will appear at the top of the list, servers you cannot access will return an error. Discord may add a new method which allows us to remove the extra servers in the future. DynoShield

Can't rejoin after ban was revoked?

We use Discord to ban users, so if the user can not rejoin after being unbanned then they more then likely have an alt banned within the server. This is due to the fact that discord bans are IP based.

We are unable to assist with this as it falls onto Discord's systems and not Dyno's.

How 2 Add Custom Emotes
1. Type the emote you want to add.
2. Add a backslash \ before the emote and send the message.
3. Copy the text representing the emote and paste it in the module.

What not to do with Custom Commands:
dynoError Dyno can only output a max of 2,000 characters in a message.
A single command can have a max of 10,000 characters in its command response.
The command name cannot be an existing Dyno command name.
Variables must have their own separate lines.
You can only have a max of 3 of the same command variables.
dynoError You cannot ban or kick yourself.
Command names cannot include any special characters or spaces.

Beyond Council and Developers, our staff team is comprised of Support Team members who are the Dyno experts, Moderators to keep the server friendly, and Community Staff who focus on making the server engaging and inviting. See #welcome for some more details.

We do not have open applications or have a way to recommend someone for joining the team. All staff roles are manually given to those we deem to be a good fit based on merit after being proven an active and supportive member in our community. All you can do is be a friendly face, supportive of other members, and active within the server. We are always on the lookout for new faces who are a good fit for the team!

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

Manager Roles can only be edited by those with the Administrator permission.

Beyond Council and Developers, our staff team is comprised of Support Team members who are the Dyno experts, Moderators to keep the server friendly, and Community Staff who focus on making the server engaging and inviting. See #welcome for some more details.

We do not have open applications or have a way to recommend someone for joining the team. All staff roles are manually given to those we deem to be a good fit based on merit after being proven an active and supportive member in our community. All you can do is be a friendly face, supportive of other members, and active within the server. We are always on the lookout for new faces who are a good fit for the team!

How 2 Appeals
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Moderation module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Moderation module.
5. Click the Appeals tab located at the top of the page.
6. Select which form you want to be the Appeals form, or create one.
~~ If you choose the Appeals option under Use Template when creating your form, you will be given a template with sample questions you can use.
~~ There are many options you can choose when creating your form. To learn more about these, visit https://docs.dyno.gg/modules/forms.
7. Once the form is created/selected, choose whether appeals should be allowed for bans, mutes, or both.
8. (Optional) Select a waiting period for how long a user must wait before they can submit an appeal for the first time.
9. (Optional) For ban appeals, provide an invite URL that unbanned users can use to rejoin your server.
10. You're all set! If you have DM User on Kick/Ban/Mute in your Moderation settings enabled, Dyno will automatically DM the Appeal link to the user.

If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

Deleting Warnings and Modlogs

Warnings may be removed but not edited.

To clear all warnings for a single user, a Server Manager can type ?clearwarn @user.
To clear all active warnings for the server you must be the Server Owner. To do so type ?clearwarn all.
To delete a single warning from a user, type ?delwarn [user].

Modlogs are forever, they are intended to be permanent, no one can delete them, not even the Server Owner. However, you can change the reason of modlog cases using the ?reason command.

For Allowed Roles View Channel Send Messages Neutral
For the @everyone role View Channel Send Messages Neutral

Always use View Channel to control access to private channels. As this will mean only those with roles that can see the channel will be able to access and chat there, while still being able to be muted.
For more information on how to properly mute users, use ?tag mute in the #commands channel.

How 2 Action Log
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Action Log module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Action Log module.
5. Enable Specify Channels for Each Event if you wish to choose a specific channel for each log event.
6. Enable the events you want or set a channel for them if you selected the Specify Channels option.
7. Select any channels you want to be ignored. Dyno will not log any events for these channels. You can also select categories.
8. Select any roles you want to be ignored. Deleted messages sent by these roles will not be logged.

Custom Command Arguments
You can use words provided after the command name ("arguments") by using the $N variable. To use this, you must replace N with the number of the word you want to use ($1 for the first word after the command, $2 for the second, and so on). If you want to use an entire phrase, you can add a + to the variable. For example: $1+ will return the first word and everything after it (so all arguments provided), $2+ will take the second word and everything after it, and so on.

Example:

Name: slap
Command:
You slapped $1 with $2+
Usage: ?slap Joe a fish
What Dyno responds with: You slapped Joe with a fish

$1 represents the first argument (Joe) in the command.
$2+ represents all the arguments after the first one in the command call (a fish) since Joe is the first argument)

Notes: Do not include $1 or any variation in the command name and be sure to only use lowercase letters.

Staff Roles
Beyond Council and Developers, our staff team is comprised of Support Team members who are the Dyno experts, Moderators to keep the server friendly, and Community Staff who focus on making the server engaging and inviting. See #welcome for some more details.

We do not have open applications or have a way to recommend someone for joining the team. All staff roles are manually given to those we deem to be a good fit based on merit after being proven an active and supportive member in our community. All you can do is be a friendly face, supportive of other members, and active within the server. We are always on the lookout for new faces who are a good fit for the team!
