Staff Roles
Beyond Council and Developers, our staff team is comprised of Support Team members who are the Dyno experts, Moderators to keep the server friendly, and Community Staff who focus on making the server engaging and inviting. See #welcome for some more details.

We do not have open applications or have a way to recommend someone for joining the team. All staff roles are manually given to those we deem to be a good fit based on merit after being proven an active and supportive member in our community. All you can do is be a friendly face, supportive of other members, and active within the server. We are always on the lookout for new faces who are a good fit for the team!

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

Manager roles are added manually through the dashboard under Dashboard General Settings. They are considered Dyno Managers and can access the web dashboard.
Manager Roles can only be edited by those with the Administrator permission.

Moderator roles are added manually either using the ?addmod command or through the dashboard under the "Moderation" tab. By default Server Moderators can access commands listed under Moderator.

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

Manager Roles can only be edited by those with the Administrator permission.

How 2 Autoban
1. Head to https://dyno.gg, login ,and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Autoban module is enabled.
4. Click on the Settings button underneath the Autoban module.
5. Click on the Create Rule button to begin creating a new autoban rule.
6. Name your rule, then select a rule type.
7. (Match Username) Add a list of words you want Dyno to detect to the Words List section.
8. Select any options under the type to further configure your rule.
9. Click on the Create Rule button to save your rule.
10. Profit! All new members that match that rule will now be autobanned!

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

How 2 Welcome
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Welcome module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Welcome module.
5. Select your message type (Message, Embed, or Embed and Text).
6. (Optional) Select Send Welcome Message in a DM (Private Message) if you would like Dyno to send a private message to the user when they join your server.

How 2 Autoresponder
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.

3. Ensure that the Autoresponder module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Autoresponder module.
5. Click the Add Response button and type the Trigger for the response. This is the word/phrase Dyno will respond to. Spaces and special characters are supported.

6. Enter what you want Dyno to respond with in the Response field or configure your embed.
7. Set any additional permissions/settings you would like to enable below, and then click Add Response. All done!

How 2 Automod
1. Login to https://dyno.gg/ and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure the Automod module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Automod module or navigate to it via the sidebar.
5. Under Manage Default Settings select a Default Log Channel.
6. Allowed Channels are channels that Automod will ignore, Allowed Roles are roles that if a user has they will not trigger Automod.
7. Select Create Rule and give a Rule Name.
8. Select which filter you'd like to create a rule for. Selecting an option will give a description of what that filter does.
9. Edit the Custom Settings for the rule to your liking, then set the Action you want Dyno to take when that rule is triggered.
Actions:
• Warn - Gives the user a verbal warning in chat when they trigger the rule.
• Delete - Deletes the message that triggered the rule.
• Auto Mute/Ban - Will mute/ban the user for triggering the rule after # of violations set.
• Instant Mute/Ban - Will mute/ban the user immediately after triggering the rule.
Permissions:
~ Required Roles The user must have these roles to be affected by the rule.
~ Required Channels The message must be sent in these channels to be affected by the rule.
~ Ignored Roles The rule will ignore any user who has these roles.
~ Ignored Channels The rule will ignore messages sent in these channels.
Options:
~ Log Channel The log channel Dyno will use for the rule.
~ Custom Response(Premium Feature) The custom reply Dyno will make when the rule is triggered.
Additional Info:
~ Banned Words (wildcard) Dyno will look within other words. For example with the word hi in wildcard hire would be automoded.
~ Banned Words (exact) Dyno will look for the exact word only.
~ Automod ignores the Owner, Admins, as well as Manager and Moderator Roles.

It is recommended that Dyno has the Administrator permission.
Removing Administrator means that not only will you need to ensure the "Dyno" role has proper permissions, you will also have to ensure that Dyno has the correct permissions for every channel he has access in to ensure commands work correctly.
If you still choose to ignore that and remove Administrator, ensure Dyno always has these permissions:

For Dyno to be able to manage or moderate any role, he has to be VISUALLY higher than the role you want him to give or remove on the Roles page of your Server Settings. Otherwise, Dyno will not be able to manage users who have the role.

To make mute work in PrivateChannel private channels make sure that the permissions in the channel are set as follows:
For the Dyno Role Manage Permissions notSelected dynoSuccess
For the Muted Role Send Messages dynoError
For Allowed Roles View Channel Send Messages Neutral
For the @everyone role View Channel Send Messages Neutral

Always use View Channel to control access to private channels. As this will mean only those with roles that can see the channel will be able to access and chat there, while still being able to be muted.
For more information on how to properly mute users, use ?tag mute in the #commands channel.

Dyno will automatically change Channel Permissions for the Muted role back to dynoError for Send Messages and Add Reactions//Speak. If you wish to allow the Muted role to speak in a channel or otherwise change the Muted role permissions, you must deny the Dyno role permissions to Manage Permissions in that channel for it to work.
Note: If Dyno has the Administrator permission for any of its roles, he will override the overrides and this will not work. remove the Administrator perm(s) for this to work.
Also Note: The ?lock command will not work in the channels that you’ve done this to.

How 2 Change Muted Role

If you would like Dyno to use an existing role for mute:
1. Delete the current Muted role used by Dyno.
2. Rename the role you want Dyno to use to Muted.
3. Mute a user.
4. Dyno should now use the existing Muted role.
5. You can now rename the existing role back to the original name.

How 2 Lockdown

How 2 Moderation
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Moderation module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Moderation module.
5. There are several options at the top of the page you can enable. Click the ? next to each one to learn more about it.
6. Set a Moderation Log Channel. This is the channel where all moderations will be logged including the Moderator responsible for using the command.
~~ The ?modlogs command will not function unless a log channel is selected.
7. Set your Moderator Roles. These roles will be given access to all moderation commands including mute/ban/kick.
8. (Optional) Set your Protected Roles. These are roles that will be immune to Dyno moderation; you will not be able to mute/ban/kick any user using Dyno who has a protected role.
9. (Premium) If you want to customize Dyno's response when you issue a moderation, you can edit the message here.

How to moderate/respond to pings

Note: Dyno only has the power of a Discord Bot Account and cannot prevent messages from being sent. With either of the options below, the user will still receive the ping.

First, obtain the ID of the user(s) whose ping you want to moderate/respond to. You will need this for both of the following options.

Deleting/Moderating the Ping

1. Head to the dashboard, Login or Manage Server, and select your server.
2. Head to the Automod module.
3. Select Create Rule and give a Rule Name.
4. Select the Bad Words rule type.
5. Under Banned Words (wildcard), add the ID(s) you obtained from the first step followed by a >. For example, 334093318818627586>.
6. Under Actions, select the actions you want Dyno to take when the user is mentioned.
7. If you only want this rule to affect some roles/channels, set them under the Permissions tab.
8. Click Create Rule!
Notes:

All Automod rules will not affect Dyno Moderators and Managers.
With Premium, you can select the Warn punishment and set a Custom Response under the Additional Options, by doing that you don't need to follow the rest of the steps!

Sending a Message

1. Head to the dashboard, Login or Manage Server, and select your server.
2. Head to the Autoresponder module.
3. Select Add Response.
4. In the Trigger field, add the ID you obtained from the first step followed by a >. For example, 334093318818627586>.
5. Select your response type and enter your response in the field below.
6. If you only want this autoresponder to affect some roles/channels, set them using the Allowed/Ignored Roles/Channels options.
7. Select the Wildcard option. This will make Dyno respond to the ping when it is located anywhere in a message.
8. Click Add Response!

Discord's API does not allow bulk deletion of messages after 14 days.
Therefore Dyno cannot purge past this point. If you get an error, check if Dyno has both the Manage Messages and Read Message History permissions, or try purging a smaller number. If you would like to remove all messages in a channel the easiest way is to clone and delete the channel, all current permissions/settings will be transferred to the new channel.

This is an issue with your channel permissions.
Go to the channel(s) they can still type in and go to Channel Settings -> Permissions

In the TextChannel channel your permissions should be as follows:
For All roles except the Muted role Send Messages notSelected Neutral
For Muted role Send Messages dynoError

If it's a PrivateChannel private channel your permissions should be as follows:
For the Member role or Access role Send Messages notSelected Neutral View Channel dynoSuccess
For Muted role Send Messages dynoError
For @everyone role Send Messages Neutral View Channel

Note: If you wish to leave your channel permissions as they are, you can enable the "Remove Roles When Muted" setting under the "Moderation" module settings on the web dashboard to have Dyno remove the user's roles when muting them.

Key Permissions

If you are using the commands: ?role all, ?role humans, ?role in, ?role bots, ?rolepersist or ?temprole and you are getting the error:

That role has mod permissions, it cannot be assigned to all members.
That role has mod permissions, it cannot be persisted.
It means that the role in question is either added as a mod role, or the role has an admin permission. You can see if a user has an admin or mod role by running ?listmods or by using the ?whois command on the user.

If the user is added as a moderator you will see Server Moderator under their Acknowledgements. If they have the Administrator permission, they will be listed as Server Admin.
The following permissions below are also key permissions that will cause the above error to show:
Administrator, Manage Server, Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Kick Members, Ban Members, Manage Nicknames.

How 2 Moderation
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Moderation module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Moderation module.
5. There are several options at the top of the page you can enable. Click the ? next to each one to learn more about it.
6. Set a Moderation Log Channel. This is the channel where all moderations will be logged including the Moderator responsible for using the command.
~~ The ?modlogs command will not function unless a log channel is selected.
7. Set your Moderator Roles. These roles will be given access to all moderation commands including mute/ban/kick.
8. (Optional) Set your Protected Roles. These are roles that will be immune to Dyno moderation; you will not be able to mute/ban/kick any user using Dyno who has a protected role.
9. (Premium) If you want to customize Dyno's response when you issue a moderation, you can edit the message here.

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

Can't rejoin after ban was revoked?

We use Discord to ban users, so if the user can not rejoin after being unbanned then they more then likely have an alt banned within the server. This is due to the fact that discord bans are IP based.

We are unable to assist with this as it falls onto Discord's systems and not Dyno's.

Custom Command Arguments

$1 represents the first argument (Joe) in the command.
