Custom Command Arguments
You can use words provided after the command name ("arguments") by using the $N variable. To use this, you must replace N with the number of the word you want to use ($1 for the first word after the command, $2 for the second, and so on). If you want to use an entire phrase, you can add a + to the variable. For example: $1+ will return the first word and everything after it (so all arguments provided), $2+ will take the second word and everything after it, and so on.

Example:

Name: slap
Command:
You slapped $1 with $2+
Usage: ?slap Joe a fish
What Dyno responds with: You slapped Joe with a fish

$1 represents the first argument (Joe) in the command.
$2+ represents all the arguments after the first one in the command call (a fish) since Joe is the first argument)

Notes: Do not include $1 or any variation in the command name and be sure to only use lowercase letters.

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

Manager roles are added manually through the dashboard under Dashboard General Settings. They are considered Dyno Managers and can access the web dashboard.
Manager Roles can only be edited by those with the Administrator permission.

Moderator roles are added manually either using the ?addmod command or through the dashboard under the "Moderation" tab. By default Server Moderators can access commands listed under Moderator.

Key Permissions

If you are using the commands: ?role all, ?role humans, ?role in, ?role bots, ?rolepersist or ?temprole and you are getting the error:

That role has mod permissions, it cannot be assigned to all members.
That role has mod permissions, it cannot be persisted.
It means that the role in question is either added as a mod role, or the role has an admin permission. You can see if a user has an admin or mod role by running ?listmods or by using the ?whois command on the user.

If the user is added as a moderator you will see Server Moderator under their Acknowledgements. If they have the Administrator permission, they will be listed as Server Admin.
The following permissions below are also key permissions that will cause the above error to show:
Administrator, Manage Server, Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Kick Members, Ban Members, Manage Nicknames.

How 2 Auto Delete
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure that the Auto Delete module is enabled.
4. Click on the Settings button underneath the Auto Delete module.
5. Select the channel you want Auto Delete to be running in.
6. Add any filters (max 3) you’d like for Dyno to match.
7. Select if you want Dyno to match ALL filters or ANY filter.
8. Enter an optional delay (how long Dyno will wait before deleting).
9. Click the Add button and you’re all set!

How 2 Automod
1. Login to https://dyno.gg/ and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure the Automod module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Automod module or navigate to it via the sidebar.
5. Under Manage Default Settings select a Default Log Channel.
6. Allowed Channels are channels that Automod will ignore, Allowed Roles are roles that if a user has they will not trigger Automod.
7. Select Create Rule and give a Rule Name.
8. Select which filter you'd like to create a rule for. Selecting an option will give a description of what that filter does.
9. Edit the Custom Settings for the rule to your liking, then set the Action you want Dyno to take when that rule is triggered.
Actions:
• Warn - Gives the user a verbal warning in chat when they trigger the rule.
• Delete - Deletes the message that triggered the rule.
• Auto Mute/Ban - Will mute/ban the user for triggering the rule after # of violations set.
• Instant Mute/Ban - Will mute/ban the user immediately after triggering the rule.
Permissions:
~ Required Roles The user must have these roles to be affected by the rule.
~ Required Channels The message must be sent in these channels to be affected by the rule.
~ Ignored Roles The rule will ignore any user who has these roles.
~ Ignored Channels The rule will ignore messages sent in these channels.
Options:
~ Log Channel The log channel Dyno will use for the rule.
~ Custom Response(Premium Feature) The custom reply Dyno will make when the rule is triggered.
Additional Info:
~ Banned Words (wildcard) Dyno will look within other words. For example with the word hi in wildcard hire would be automoded.
~ Banned Words (exact) Dyno will look for the exact word only.
~ Automod ignores the Owner, Admins, as well as Manager and Moderator Roles.

What not to do with Custom Commands:
dynoError Dyno can only output a max of 2,000 characters in a message.
A single command can have a max of 10,000 characters in its command response.
The command name cannot be an existing Dyno command name.
Variables must have their own separate lines.
You can only have a max of 3 of the same command variables.
dynoError You cannot ban or kick yourself.
Command names cannot include any special characters or spaces.

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

How 2 Forms
1. Head to https://dyno.gg/, login, and select your server.
2. Click on the Modules tab.
3. Ensure the Forms module is enabled.
4. Click the Settings button underneath the Forms module.
5. Click Create Form, and type in a form name and description (supports markdown).
6. Under Form Builder, you can add, edit, and delete questions for your form. You can also click Add Template to start off with a template which will give you premade questions based on what kind of form you're making. (ex. Staff Applications, Appeals, or Feedback Survey).
7. To add a question, click the Add Question button, and then click the question name or its answer field. You can then begin editing the question name, choose what kind of question it is (paragraphs, short answers, multiple choice, checkboxes, and more coming soon!) and rather to require an answer for this question and/or duplicate the question.
8. Under the last question, you can also clear all questions, or undo your last action (if you made a mistake!).
9. Under Form Settings, select a Submission Channel. Once a user makes a submission, Dyno will send an embed here with all the form questions and answers, along with the user info (if the form isn't anonymous).
10. Under Form Settings, Options, and Submission Options, there are other settings you can change. Click the "?" next to each one to learn more about what it does. You can also check out https://docs.dyno.gg/modules/forms#additional-settings for in-depth explanations on each option.
11. Click Create, then you're done! Click View to view the form and share the link with your users to get submissions going!
