So my friend is having a screen issue with his quest. he's getting a good ole black screen. You can change it with sidequest

You can also change the resolution

But the settings will refresh after restarting the headset so if you turn it off you'll have set it again next time you want to record

It's a program that lets you download games/programs onto your quest that aren't on the oculus store like discord or half life 1.

It also lets you mod games like beatsaber or see extra settings like resolution, recording aspect ratio, or other things

You need to have developer mode enabled on your quest 2 and usb debugging turned on to use it

Go to safety settings, then select performance options, from there select dynamic bone/Phys bones(as I don't own a Quest I don't know if a different term is used). Note: Not all avatars will have Phys bones setup yet and the auto-conversion feature ingame is far from perfect(I have no idea if the Quest standalone version of VRchat has this option, to auto convert dynamic bones).

Give it time. I suggest contacting official VRchat support using the links in #vrchat-support to create a support ticket though you'll likely get the same answer I gave you. it lasting 2 days is quite unusual usually it will fix itself in a day.

For PC you can use turn on and off the auto convert feature. I don't know any way for Quest standalone besides carefully looking at things such as hair, clothing and seeing it move or not. I think it will also show up in avatar details. I don't use the quest so I may be incorrect on some details.

Be aware that some avatars might not be updated with PhysBones until Dynamic bones are removed completely from the game. It's also a possibility that PhysBones may not ever be added to an avatar.

it's really surprising to me how limited some avatar features are on quest, like simple 1 second audios or just sliders that adjust the hue of your avatar are apparently too much for the quest

Might be an avatar issue. I had one guy hack my account and force me to use an avatar that crashed my game instantly when I joined a world. You can set your avatar to default from the website and see if that helps.

btw, try reinstalling the Oculus Software, just make sure you uninstall it using some advanced uninstaller such as IObit Uninstaller, before attempting to reinstall the program again, it helps clearing Registry data which could be the cause...

Oh yeah, if your using a link cable to connect to the pc or even wirelessly you'll have access to pcvr worlds

It all comes down to which system running the game

You won't appear as a quest user doing that either

Also @faint delta if your considering getting a quest 2 I Highly reccomend looking into the quest 2 referral program. It gives you 30 dollars instore credit when you activate your quest 2. 75 if you have a .edu student email linked with your account.

I've been having this problem with vrchat on my quest 2 since yesterday. It keeps constantly crashing saying your vrchat connection has timed out.
