i used VRoptician, they were great and had a fast production time + shipping time. they charge a little more (like an extra 8 bucks) if your prescription is stronger. the only bad thing about them is that its a pain to get them onto the oculus lenses and it makes you feel like you're gonna break something putting them on

One you have to buy a pc that can run vrchat two you need to either buy vive trackers and a base station or the trackers similar to slimevr. If you go with a good PC and vive trackers it's going to cost 2.5k to 3k

Does anyone know of a guide to mod the Quest 2 to extend it's IPD? I think my IPD is around 72mm and I already used a 3d printed mod that extends the IPD about 1 mm and it's not enough. I get horrible headaches that I have to take it off after 2 hours.

Hey hey everyone, I have a question, so basically I have a quest 2 headset. And I’ve had it every since my last year birthday which was September the 18. Until up to here. But basically when I got on vrchat a couple days ago, I went into a vrchat avatar world. And changed into a avatar but it glitched and went into pc mode, and I thought like hey it’s probably just the avatar, so I change into another one and it’s fine. But then change into another one again, and it does the same thing again, goes into pc mode. And I thought hey that’s weird. So I try to go to expressions. And I can’t! Can’t restart or anything. And I look around then look down. And I can see myself like my avatar, by looking down. And then I realised. Is this a vrchat glitch or a quest glitch. That's just from it losing tracking, Best thing you can do is make sure you got ample lighting in the room, make sure the controller batteries aren't low, and ensure the IR leds in the controller halo aren't being blocked by anything like dirt, stickers, or what ever else

Yeah there's not much you can do beyond that. Just keep the controller visible to the headset for a few seconds and jiggle it around till tracking comes back

I've had that happen before it's just taking a while to update to the servers. Try not to spam the button or it might unfavorite a bunch of your avis.
The best thing you can do is log out, wait 5 minutes and then relog back in

It's probably an issue communicating to the servers. Try restarting you game, if that doesn't fix it youll probably need to wait a little bit before everything syncs back up.

There's a number of ways but most people will tell you to just play the game for about 400-500 hours and you'll get there.
Although that's BS, time alone won't get you trusted rank. You get it by having friends (higher the rank the better) by being active in the game, and the best way by far is by creating avatars and worlds.
You gain more trust rank the more people use your avatars or visit your worlds. That's how I got trusted after about 275 hours
There's probably more nuances to the ranking system than that considering the mods are pretty tight lipped about the details but you get the idea.
But if I'm being honest, trusted rank is overrated. Trusted users and visitors are by far the most unfriendly people I've seen in the game (and most likely to crash you) . Known user is the sweet spot you wanna be at.

Well techincialy you might be able to still do it if you factory reset your quest 2. You can read up the the details online.

I just use it tethered like a rift s since the graphics are much better from PC than the internal hardware. has anyone here tried using airlink with the quest 2? I've just been using a cheap USB type a to USB type c Gen 3.2 cable and a USB 3.2 extension cable, I get USB 3 speeds, 2.2 Gbps, so far has worked without a hitch.

It's an issue that comes up sometimes with the servers. Restarting the game usually fixes it. But sometimes it lasts for the whole day max

Once you sign in with the same facebook account that you'll use for your headset you're all good to go
As long as you activate it before you use the headset for the first time

Well if your in the US the cheapest and best place is Walmart. Otherwise Amazon and the official oculus/meta store is the alternative.

Is there a way that someone else can help upload an avatar for me? I don't have access to a PC so I'm at a dead end. I'm trying to get a Hollowknight oneshot avatar uploaded for my quest account, I've tried using an online computer such as Plutosphere but I can't seem to get it to work on that either. I'm so out of ideas now.

I don't have the fbx file for it, only the unity package so I don't know how to optimize it without the fbx file.

Well unfortunately I don't really know how to edit unity packages, only the FBX files. At this point I'd reccomend either looking at a few youtube videos on how to optimize for quest 2, Asking in the #quest-optimization channel. Or paying someone to do it on a place like fiver.

In the last three months I've talked to 5 people who tried it. Either the avatar was pathetically bad or the "artist" disappeared. Looks like there is a way to game the system so you appear legit
