If that’s what it is, then yes. In every room I’m always clicking on people to show avatar

there’s no way to disable it as it is for performance reasons, but you can go to settings then advanced settings and then make sure you have the maximum avatar level at ”very poor” as that should ease some things.

I've been getting a lot of mixed info, but I know that standalone Quest 2 can do 120hz, but it seems it (and 90hz) was added in a later update. So what's the limit on Link?

Not really. You need to at least get a VRChat account to new user before making avatars, and to do that you have to play the game (and I mean actually play, being afk doesn't work afaik)

it deletes the last few GBs of stuff you locally downloaded while you were playing vrchat

in order to see avatars and worlds you need to download them and the most recent ones are stored in the cache

something in ur cache might be breaking it so clearing it you should do

you will keep your favorites and all that dont worry

If you're looking for a cheap headset, then go for a Quest 2. It can do FBT and PC games through Oculus Link (probably even Air Link), if you're looking for a PC only headset, more expensive headset, then wrong channel.

Nothing (currently) does FBT without accessories, as a quick note.

So I’m having an issue with avatars where when I first got the game a few days ago I first favorited 2 avatars and later came back and unfavorited them and favorited another but then after a few minutes I changed characters and tried to change back to the character I just favorited and it wasn’t there but to my surprise the other 2 that I initially favorited were there, I’ve tried favoriting other characters but only 3 actually show up after I hit expand and when I do the first 2 that I initially favorited are gone this is a pretty confusing bug to me and so if anyone has a solution that’d be much appreciated

there used to be an issue like this with the quest 1 in witch all your sound goes out. most of the time a restart of the headset fixed it but sometimes it required more than one

The Quest 2 is a good affordable VR headset. As a standalone system in VRCHAT it works very well as long as you interact with Quest optimised content (worlds and avatars) . If you have a VR capable computer, then the Quest can be used for PC Vrchat content when connected via USB cable or wireless via Virtual Desktop.

Some quest worlds have been broken due to the VRChat Unity update, so for now you will have to avoid them and wait for the uploader to fix the shaders (which I believe is the problem)

something along the lines of poiyomi shaders on 2018 uploads breaking until to upload it to 2019

Pressing the keys Ctrl and \ at the same time while in the VRChat application will set you to a grey robot avatar locally, which will allow you to change to a different avatar. In standalone VRChat, yes. Nothing much needed to be said. If you want a Quest and want to play VRChat, use Oculus Link and play it through your PC.

Цена соответствует качеству очков, игры от 10 до 30 долларов в основном. Ещё из плюсов то что можно скачать приложение sidequest и найти много бесплатных годных игр/приложений которых нет в квест сторе и установить их.
Ещё есть браузер в котором можно пользоваться любой социальной сетью или ютубчик например смотреть на весь экран в очках всеравно что смотреть в кинотеатре.

К покупке советую оч советую. Ещё момент надо будет чутка в начале один раз с Фэйсбук аккаунтом потрахатся ну и ещё раз батарейка. Но в принципе батарейка это ситуативно потому что я к примеру задрот и могу играть часов пять без перерыва и мне собственно не хватает а вот людам которые по часу-два вполне хватит

So- something i noticed recently- joining a big world on quest 1 has the audio really buggy and slow, same for animations, they're slow/never seem to catch up, always results in a crash

I plugged the link, clicked link, but would go to this white environment nad it would freeze. when it didnt i would click steam vr- it wouldn't load. click vrchat, it also wouldn't load. i gave up after an hour of repeatedly reseting the headset nad closing steam vr on my pc. a problem for tomorrow!

Typically they're not allowed to redistribute that avatar in any form (allowing the avatar to be copied or put on a pedestal etc.) due to that models terms of use.

explanation: depending on how small the avatar is the viewpoint might be larger than the avatar therefore making it seem like you cant see your hands or the menu. if your looking for a fix you can go to vrchat.com login then find the reset avatar button.

GPU usually hits around 80% max in worlds, and CPU can go up high when loading worlds but that's it, The game usually freezes and stutters quite a lot

I'm using just wifi through the quest 2 and not a cable, unsure if this makes a difference or not

You might have to change your perf limits back to very poor, an update might of reset it back to default or sometthing

I forgot where but it should be somewhere either in the advanced settings in settings, or perf settings in saftey

If you are on standalone quest tho you can only push the limit to poor so you cant get automatic very poor avatars showing

The thing that I don’t understand is that I still can use very poor avatars but I can’t see very poor avatars, even when I choose « show avatars » on my friends who have quest avatars too.

I'll do some tests in a few hours, 'cause it was strange that I'm able to have very poor avatars on Quest but not see very poor avatars. I've just run a quick test on pc with my Quest account by joining a crossplatform world with lot of Quest users using very poor quest avatars and apparently they were able to see me.

Virtual desktop doesn't rely on your internet speed. It is your local network speed that matters.

Its just avatars that are performance ranked "Very Poor" that always hide and require you to manually show them one by one

For Standalone Quest VRChat that is, on PC it can be set to be automatically shown

Basically people are too lazy to make proper Quest compatiable avatars for their PC counterparts and as a result you get an abundance of horribly optimized avatars on quest

Doesnt help when most of the time when this happens the avatars are already poorly optimized for PC

Fortunately there are still a good amount of people that do care for their fellow Quest friends and I hope more people actually consider what they upload to quest
