Depends on world and avatars, this is the issue with user generated content when the developer is lenient like VRChat, it is on the user to make sure that the avatar they are using, the world they are in and whose avatar they show doesn't perform terribly.

Does anyone know if using Sidequest to bump the default FPS from 72 to 90 would be considered against VRChat TOS? I'd assume not, cuz it all it does it smooth things out on my end, but I know other modifications are bannable, and this could technically qualify as that, so not sure.

Quest VRC app completely borked. Starts, takes forever and the VRChat logo spinning. Gets past that screen and then just crashes with the green bubble area just freezing and locked in one place. No matter restarting the app or headset resolves it. Unusable as of now. Not entirely sure what to do for that.

Never join a group made instance. Join the regular instances that says the owners group/name on it. Group instances are often more hostile so i would suggest you stay out of them

vrchat also has many fun games you can play such as murder, flight sim, among us, join a lobby and warm up with people. thats how i made friends.

1. I have the index controllers, base stations and 3x fbt htc trackers ( Was a index user before). But after searching the internet i have trouble finding out how to connect them all together to play vrc. How does it work?

2. Is it not possible to connect the Quest 3 with a USB C splitter so I can charge the Quest whilst playing in link mode?

1. I know it’s possible, I’ve just never tried it myself. I know a couple people who have done it though.

2. As far as I know that’s correct, but the battery drain while linked is usually negligible. I lose like 5-10% per hour so you should be fine for a long time

Yeah I use a Quest 3. I owned the Quest 2 and Quest Pro, both were able to charge while connected to PC. Quest 3, however, struggles to maintain charge while connected. Depending on your PC, it may drain faster or slower.

Yesterday all of Meta was down, making pretty much all Quest headsets temporary paperweights.
You should try your original Meta account again.

Outside of that you might have to contact Meta support, they clearly were not prepared for what happened yesterday and what you did might have confused the Quest even more.

Random question but I heard that you can use the Xbox Kinect sensor for FBT. Does that only work on the PC version or can it be used on Quest with some added hardware? After a while the battery deteriorates like any other battery. Ways to prevent this is don’t leave ur headset charging when it’s fully charged, try not to play with it plugged in, and don’t play on it when it goes below 20%

If it’s already happened tho not much you can do.

enable custom shield settings and turn everything off for everyone except friends, disables everyones fallbacks for me when i played on quest

if you have slimeVR and a phone, you can run the slimevr server off of the phone. you can also run the slimevr server off of the headset itself

if you have a really bad computer lyieng around (not a chromebook) and have atleast 4 joycons and a phone, you can use those in slimevr

otherwise most full body solutions require a 3rd party device to work standalone, because you need to connect to an osc server
