Plenty. Use the refferal program for your quest 2 if you have not already. Put a fan in front of you when you play, and consider keeping a floor mat in the center of your playspace like a yoga mat or something similar.

Also enable dev mode on your quest 2 when you get the chance and set up sidequest. You'll get access to more games and extra settings that'll make your experience more fun

theres a lot of kids around, and an annoying amount of them are under the ToS age of 13, pet peeve of mine. i advise turning on cloning auto-disable in the menu- itll automatically disable avatar cloning when you change worlds, which means if you enable it to give your friend an avatar and forget to turn it off, you wont have an issue when you go to a public world. also, i like to collect avatars, so if you like doing that too, you can check if someones avatar is hosted on a world (and public by extension) by clicking on the person, scrolling down, hitting view avatar author, and checking their published worlds (sometimes you need to scroll the worlds bar for them to show up) to find any worlds the person who made the avatar owns, and by extension more public avatars they may have

Surprisingly no one has answered your question.
I am fairly sure the Quest 2 possess a power pass-through circuit, which means power can go towards powering the headset without needing to charge and discharge the battery, like the vast majority of phones need to do.

But even if it doesn't, in a year, your Q2's standalone battery will suffer anyway because keeping a battery charged at all times isn't good either. Better to just accept that the Q2's battery will be dead eventually and use battery banks, or a wall plug to keep it powered in the future. Non-replaceable batteries suck.

If you want to prolong the battery as much as you can, never go to 100% power until you are ready to play it. And when not in use keep the power level between 60-80% for long term storage

Are you connecting the headset to your phone or the controllers to your phone?

I'm assuming you're trying to connect to the headset

Make sure you have gps, and bluetooth on and keep the phone as close as possible to the headset

also make sure the phone is on the same wifi as the headset

You just use a resolver, like Jinnai (now also known as Nextnex) or host your own with Vroxy.
Or just use youtubedl and get the direct link to the video.

All third party video player have whitelists on what domains can be used so self-hosting doesn't work often, but you can still just copy the direct link you get from them.

standalone quest is absolutely playable. but, the hardware isnt all that powerful and neither is the cooling, so youre prone to overheating and/or crashing when in heavy worlds or loading too many avatars. multiple HQ mirrors on screen will also cause issues, but thats easy to avoid. loading into worlds ive never had an issues, but sometimes the overall download speed just slows to a crawl for worlds and avis so it takes forever

It is either in beta or has already been released that clicking a text field will bring up the VRC keyboard.

any props will be attached to the avatar itself. though there are multiple different types of props. some of them are powered by Avatar Dynamics, which is pc only; some are simply attached to certain parts of an avatar and summoned by enabling them in the radial menu; some are a little more complex and summoned using grips (which may or may not need to be enabled in the radial menu); and some behave like bones, readily available on the avatar, and can be grabbed and manipulated at any point (this one is typically buggy and doesnt always show to others- and ive only seen it from a single creator)

alright so, ive been playing quest for about a year now, and ive had a pc this entire time, only problem my pc is shared with my family and they dont really want to move it from it's location (the living room, 2 rooms away from my bedroom which is where I play), and I don't like to play vr around other people, it's just uncomfortable and i dont wanna be in the way, is there any reasonable way that i could use pcvr from that distance, could i wire it through the rooms and play smoothly or would the distance cause issues, I have no problem playing wired cause i can just set up cable management on the ceiling.

Yes you can and Virtual desktop doesn't even do wired, only wireless.
For wireless you can also use Airlink.

The reason for using Virtual Desktop nowadays is primarily the more options it gives you, that it doesn't randomly break with Quest updates and that you don't loose performance if you play any SteamVR games.
For full body tracking it is very much recommended.
It also doesn't have that trigger bug that Airlink/Link seems to have where it doesn't register that you have pulled the trigger, which weirdly still seems to be around even though it has been a bug since forever.

Check your mic sensitivity on the small launchpad settings.
Usually that is the case

from what I've heard the 64GB can be pretty insufficient for installing more games

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue. Ever since the update, I'll go to a world in vrc with people in it, and it disconnects from Air link and says something like, 'please check connection between PC and device and try again.'

I have factory reset the device around 4-5 times. Restarted my router countless times. Updated the oculus app, restarted the PC several times... and still no luck. I have run out of options so I have posted it here. I hope someone can help me with this cause it's just Hella annoying.

I am running a lower specced rig than you and the only times I get 30fps is during meetups of ~40ish people (in the unoptimized worlds) and during some sort of performance bug that fixed itself by restarting the game.

So there are a ton of factors at play, world could be terrible, your avatar could be terrible, the avatars the people around you use being terrible and etc.

So still a lot of people. Calculating the basic stuff is actually still expensive in numbers, audio (so voice) and just networking in general. I've always done my safety stuff custom, so if you are just using the maximum preset then you will still be seeing a lot of stuff, shaders almost always gain you a huge boost because they are really expensive, but even just showing the base avatar can get too much if they are awfully optimized, check your RAM usage, if it is is 1-2 GB from hitting max then it is probably a major reason why you are getting those performance numbers, good thing is that in the next few updates we should get VRAM blocking, which will significantly help with this.

And actually not done performance testing (running it on my integrated GPU laptop) on the pug before, not sure if it makes use of occlusion culling, so it could scale poorly, but it performs fine when alone (not as good as I would want it, ie maxed 90 when alone, but fine).

When it comes to club worlds they are probably making use of heavy post processing and real time lighting which is terribly expensive, especially the latter.

In every Quest game all pieces of content will be optimized by professionals so it runs well, in VRChat the content is made by people that are on average barely aware of what optimization is.

The devs can do more to optimize the game and they are slowly, but the vast majority of performance issues are from the content the community created.

No, the rank system is a black box, I think I was around 80 or so before I reached user.
Depends a ton on the people around you and if you get friend requests sent to you.

The only things I know helps a lot with rank is creating public stuff that people use (be it worlds or public avatars) or you getting friend requests from high rank individuals.

Also buying VRC+ does give you a one-time boost

Unfortunately it won't help. It's not a looping issue. And is happening when others avis load I'm noticing. Avis start loading and boom vrchat freezes for a moment and kicks me out

I haven't tried that. I'll try it when I get home. But that is for a looping issue I'm not having a looping issue. When the connection times out I can get back into the game and it can stay on for 10 minutes to 20 minutes and then it can happen again.

Or if somebody loads in Avatar then it kicks me out as well

Troubleshooting guide for stuttering quest 2
this is a guide for how to get rid of stuttering when using quest 2 as a pcvr headset, for some reason theres 4 or 5 things that can cause a bunch of stuttering whether its on link/airlink or on virtual desktop, here's a list of some solutions that some people have used after days/weeks of their own troubleshooting.

1. setting the application priority of oculus.exe ovr_serverx64.exe and virtual desktop and whatever game/app your using to high priority in both task manager and windows app settings, in task manager>details tab and windows display settings>graphics settings https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/Oculus-Quest-2-and-Quest/Oculus-Link-seems-be-using-integrated-graphics-instead-of-GPU/td-p/737905

2. setting the power plan to high performance mode. disable usb power saving and selective suspend in Device Manager

6. repairing oculus pc app in the uninstaller

7. making debug window be on top on desktop helps for some odt>service>toggle console window visibility

8. reverting from windows 11 to 10 solves a lot of vr related issues

9. disabling link sharpening in Oculus Development Tool (needs you to enable developer account in oculus. look up a guide for that or a guide to enable sidequest)

goloco isnt an issue at all, its just an avatar script that does poses and positioning. if it were an issue vrc wouldve banned it forever ago, because its older than my account. the only thing i could see it being an issue for is fairness in game worlds due to an invisibility feature that doesnt even exist in all goloco avis

You are pretty much stuck with attaching a battery bank to it, or keeping it plugged in constantly with a long wire, unless Meta for some reason replaces headsets within warranty that have poor battery health, which I highly doubt they are.
