I saw that I can “shop around” for fallback ones in the avatar menu when I have my fallback one selected and have tried changing that one but it didn’t stick after I thought I finalized it

Yeah, when I was on the avatar menu with the fallback one selected there were a bunch to choose from but when I had the main one selected there were zero to choose from.

That’s why I was trying to swap between the two: I can’t see any options except when the fallback one is selected

That was for the Oculus PC version. There's 3 versions of VRChat & Virtual Desktop; Steam, Quest, & Oculus PC. I think you should be good if you're using the Quest version of VRD, though I don't know for sure.

• Virtual Desktop on Steam: Lets you use any SteamVR supported headset to control your computer.

• Virtual Desktop on Quest: Lets you wireless connect and control your PC on a Quest.

• VRChat on Oculus PC: Oculus Rift/Rift S/Link version of VRChat for PC specifically

• VRChat on Quest: Oculus Quest version of VRChat for Mobile

If SteamVR is set as your default VR compositor and you are using the version of VRDesktop from the Quest store & the version of VRChat off Steam, the way I'm reading it is you're fine.

The issue is specifically with Virtual Desktop on Quest and VRChat on Oculus PC being mixed.

Minimum specs for AAA games can be more of a general suggestion. For VRChat, I'd say its being realistic.

And again, this is not the channel for the PC version, though sometimes people come here with help specifically setting up airlink to play it with a Quest.

I was mistaken about there being a PC store version of Virtual Desktop, but essentially: there's 2 Oculus versions of VRChat, one for PC, and one for Mobile (Quest). The PC version from Oculus doesn't work with Virtual Desktop.

However, you can still use the Steam version with any Oculus headset as they support OpenVR and SteamVR.

The Steam VR version is basically "Any PCVR headset (Oculus/HTC/Valve)" and the Oculus Store versions is "Rift/Rift S/Link Only". I'm not really sure why the second one exists.

Its just a malicious avatars, everyone knows that, no EAC can stop them from crashing you hard enought to make a videodriver hang and restart

they just openly declares sometimes that they are gonna crash you be prepared, boom, die

@I have set steam to install everything on HDD, so really unsure why it insists being installed on C

Bent over today and realised I DO have a USBc port lmao - so is there a difference if I use USBc port or regular USB port with an adapter - any loss there?
But I came to ask if anyone knows if theres an option or an app to see things in "fish-eye" view? Because this is such a downgrade from SBS whilst using VRBox before - so disappointing.
The one game I played I still think is good - great experience, which is an understatement!

EDIT: lol I used USB charging station trying to charge my oculus, it didnt charge at all ofcourse but thank god I didnt fry anything
EDIT2: Alternatively is there a way to make videos cover my whole field of view?

They just stopped appearing one day.

I can see them when I open up the recents side-tab with the wing and switch to favorites but can’t see them on the normal row format in the avatar section of the launchpad menu

If you get a 2nd headset for a friend, I know you can either link the 2nd headset to the 1st oculus account or make a 2nd oculus account.

I need to figure out which option is better if I were to bring a friend into VRC: Would either option offer less to to them? Like can they make their own favorite avatars list and everything with either option?

Vrc account is separate from your oculus account. So in this case your friend would just make a vrc account and have their own account

When I first was on VRC it was on my oculus account before I ever registered for VRC on its website iirc. I just barely made a VRC login after having played VRC for several days and merged it with my oculus acct

It makes a "half account" based on your oculus user and then you have the option to upgrade to a full account from there.

Ok so, dunno if this is a frequently asked question or not, and I did check the support threads too, not not much help. But im having some issues regarding memory or ram for Quest. Doesn't happen with any other game other than vrc and just kinda confused. But after a certain amount of time, it disconnects and says "returning home due to low system memory". Along with a "you cannot travel here" over n over until I have to reset the game. Just got a new quest due to old ones fan breaking. And hoping it's not an internal issue with my new quest. Does it appear like you're in desktop mode? I and others as having the same issue. What works for me is toggling the OSC on and off on the hands menu options. It happens every time I load into a new world or switch avatars
