I've had my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus for like the last 3 and 1/2 years or whatever the hell it came out 2017 I think? I don't regret it. I stick with Android because it's easier to edit things on it. IPhone is for users that need a system to be locked down and can't really be that easily hacked unless you're smart enough to know how to hack it. And really even then most people just jailbreak it to have apps that they want. Which I want to say retrospect it's not a bad idea but Android still has really good security either way.

Think I had like four gigs of RAM and barely 64 gigs of space on it. All flash memory. It was pretty cool. But it was slow as fuck so I tested out the original Sims and VR chat. And it actually ran both just fine. So if That little notebook can Play those two games as well as it can while my phone is probably 10 times more powerful than that piece of shit computer, they have no excuse. The only reason VR chat won't do it is because they realize that you probably have to do a lot of extra work to it. I mean I don't blame the developers for it

x86-64 systems are notably different from ARM ones, ARM chips are designed to use less power, run cooler, etc - the Quest 2 for example already has issues running the game, and it's using a chip designed specifically for VR. Your average Android phone absolutely isn't going to run the game well, even in 'desktop' mode
a notable amount of people already don't optimize their content for Quest, there's no way they'd optimize for an even weaker platform
it is also a lot of extra work yes, as it's another platform to build the game for, which'd slow down development. They'd also have to make a mobile control system, make avatar perf limiting settings for the platform (which people'd surely love) and etc
