I want a deaf person to be able to feel the beauty of such a piece, even if they can't hear it. There seems to be a general understanding of what kinds of sounds are universally related to what sorts of feelings, so who's to say that maybe the haptics for translating such a song can't be nuanced either. Perhaps certain motifs are physically painful, whereas others are soothing like a massage, some are scary and seemingly unexpected, others are intense and heavy, etc. Idk, I was just thinking about how someone who has been deaf from birth May never get the chance to feel the sensation brought on by emotional musical techniques, and that doesn't seem fair

I'm kind of a dumbass plus it's late so I may have interpreted what was being said wrongly but if it means anything I love dancing and I'm dancing all the time while playing in VR as well as just going about my daily life even tho I can't hear any music dancing is just fun and when other people around me are dancing to a song it's really fun too because it's a way for me to experience the same thing as them just in a different way. And audio visualizers are really cool, before my hearing went I conducted for bands and orchestras often and the feeling of conducting brings me comfort so if I have a way to see the beat and dynamic changes of a song it's really nice because I can conduct it. Not in the same way as I did before but it's as close as I can get.

So for me personally Cobruh is right but I can't speak for everyone and I'm sure people born deaf might have a different opinion

You can have a great conversation with a friend but if you think for long enough you'll be able to find at least some spots where you were unintentionally horribly awkward

If you constantly allow yourself to run away on that thought train, you will become paralyzed

It's easier said than done to get rid of it, but at least at that point I know that I can safely attempt to "get over" that particular regret
