Sure!
A super basic technique is called rule of thirds, and it’s the simplest way to make any picture look a bit better
This isn’t perfectly segmented but is an example of having your subject intersecting two of those points and seeing the environment
Even if the environment is blurred out with bokeh it adds a bit of flair to the picture
Another favourite technique of mine that is easy to do is framing/subframing
Your subject being framed by the environment either in the foreground or background

Also don’t get discouraged if you’re not satisfied with a photo set you’ve taken. Even to this day I still get a lot of pictures that i am not very satisfied with but i just move on and try to learn why they didn’t work for me personally

However having a better understanding of those technuiqes lets you really play with them in interesting ways and can make your pictures look really good with just subtle things that the viewer doesn't pick up on
