Nope, the notification sound or buzz will still happen and it may still show up in their notification bar, and it definitely still shows as the red number thing. All even while you remove said posts or messages. That's also why when a server gets ping-raided for example that some people show up hours later asking why they have so many notification or what happened since mods/admins usually delete the messages.

lots of confusion like "look at this outfit or animation or prop" and not realizing what is expected and can take a bit to figure out what is happening... many people are oblivious to even their regular safety settings not realizing they can't see an animation until you be really specific about what they're supposed to be seeing...

Yes they'll be fine, those are stored serverside

The cache contains avatars and worlds you've seen/visited so you don't have to download them again. Loading them from disk is much faster, but obv takes up storage space, and if the cache is full/some part of the cache is corrupted or something, you might see some issues

Favorited avatars/friends/worlds/etc is stored serverside, and clearing the cache won't get rid of those

Reinstalling the game will lose your ingame settings, but even then your avatars and such will be fine

Yeah I've seen people upload videos of them playing VR and I would edit out the bits that would go against their terms of service. I know I wouldn't have to upload it but anytime I record anything on my quest it's so that I can make it into a video.

I deleted the cache data to clear up my space, and load worlds that are 280MB. It still gives me the same problem. My oculus quest 2 is linked to my pc and does this. However desktop mode doesn't have issues at all? This loading big worlds error has been recent

To be fair, only the variable focus model is 4k, I'd assume because the lenses are very costly to manufacture. But the style of lens hasn't been done before afaik so it could be worth it to some. The headset starts at 800 it seems.

Honestly, seems like it would be a good system for people with disabilities, people who prefer to lay down over anything else, or people who want an advanced headset that would otherwise be too large to use normally.

It also has a wider claimed fov than the index and a very wide IPD range.

While it's not for me. I do see a point in it and competition and innovation in the space is valuable for everyone.
