you can use it linked/wired as well as by itself, but if you use it by itself you will only be able to see quest compatiable content on VRChat and quest compatiable games, which actually there are tons of good optimized quest games, or you can play linked and use it like any other vr headset

they only downside imo is facebook, your required to make a facebook account

The only issue with that pre-built is its case. It's one of those extremely limited front airflow cases with a tempered glass front panel. The thermals should still be within safe parameters. I would be worried if it was a 3070 or 3080 in that case.

Not at all - GPUs (electronic components in general, really) are facing a big shortage right now due to a lot of factors, and as such are pretty hard to come by right now. By 2022 or some date later, the market'll hopefully get back to normal

3000 series cards are currently Nvidia's top-of-the-line series, though the 3060 is at the bottom of that series - still a vv good card though and more than capable of running VR

If you change out the GPU to a 3070 or 3080 you might need to change that computer case. That computer case has some serious airflow concerns. For its configuration as is, it should be fine.

the Quest 2 is a pretty good headset if you don't mind the Facebook requirement - it's a standalone VR headset, but you can connect it to your computer with a link cable (USB C data cable) or Virtual Desktop/ALVR/Air Link for a wireless PCVR option

there are differences in lighthouse versions though, so def look into that - 2.0 and 3.0 trackers will work with 2.0 and 1.0 lighthouses, but 1.0 trackers won't work with 2.0 lighthouses iirc

By the way, ranking up takes a bit. I used to be a known user for so long with hundreds of hours. I’ve been trusted for a long time now but when the ranking first came out it felt like such a long time to rank up

I think the ways to rank up are play time (not AFK), making friends, joining friends, hanging out in public’s, uploading, etc. And apparently there are ways to decrease rank up speed like getting blocked, kicked from worlds, etc. Not sure how much this is all true, this is just what people have said on Reddit posts and such

Is there anyone who can help me with this VrChat issue? So I’m a quest 2 user and I decided to switch my vrchat to the open beta version. After I did this I tried joining public lobbies and every lobby I joined was empty. I then switched back to the main version of vrchat and this issue is still occurring. I have two accounts on my oculus quest that I play vrchat on and this issue is occurring on both accounts. Then I deleted vrchat on my main account and it will not let me download it back on my oculus. If anyone can help me with this problem please message me directly.

Just go into vrchat and go to settings and click clear local profile data. Don’t worry this won’t delete anything. It will just make your settings go back to default and sign you out. After that close vrchat and delete it. Make sure your vrchat is off of the beta version and on the current version. Then reinstall vrchat

If you have a second account on your vr that also has vrchat, you want to do the same steps on that account also

So go on the oculus app on your phone. Go to your library and select vrchat. Go to the info below vrchat and it will show some numbers. That is the version it is on. Click on it and on the right it will show a drop down box of the version you are on. Click that and switch it to “live”

There's no official text chat, though some worlds like Mute Chat and VirtualFurence have text chats in them o:

Since the last update i am stuck with this fps bug that makes the fps drop to 0 after 30- 50 seconds and even more often when switching from the vrc window to discord on desktop...

friends have problems understanding me because i cut out for them and they cut out for me too
can't really play in VR with this bug that seems to be very rare...

No and i tried everything else too...changeing graficscard settings, reinstall vrchat, clearing the cache, going to diffrent worlds, searching for missing files or problems with steam...nothing works...my gpu and cpu are working perfectly fine and are allways looking nomal like before the uppdate....i used to be the person with the least problems amongmy friends but now i have the most since the last vrc update

I'm pretty sure it happens under heavy server load, people just start disappearing. You can still hear their voices but until you hide and show their avatar again they're invisible

The graphics card doesn't really change much in vrchat, but the processor changes way more.

Graphics card will give slight boosts though.

As most performances that bottle neck you are CPU bound yea, having a fast core'd cpu helps a lot
For sure with how bad dynamic bones works where it waits for all calculations to be finished before it allows unity to do other stuff

Yeaaaah theres alot of groups doing that in pugs atm, theres also a few racist groups, and various other things that fly by, you get used to it, I go there almost every day that I'm on so I run into alot of them :P, usually most of them get bored.
