Well I suggested to Tupper....hey why not sale mods as add-ons for the game. Allow Users to customize their clients.... allows them to control how said add-ons work and they will get more profit. Depends on the amount of textures and texture size. But avatar size does not indicate VRAM usuage. You can compress a texture down from 400MB (VRAM) down to 2MB (RAM/Download). Most MMD/e-thot avatars use like at least 4 materials at 2K, so ~250MB should be a good guesstimate. Could be a lot worse, could be a lot better as well

and more. There are no known malicious modders having been banned. Only the creators of mods posted in the VRC modding group seem to have been targeted.

If you assume active players log on every other day, then you can assume about 255000 monthly active users, give or take. If you boil that down to PC users only, it brings it to around 180000. So, I would say GENERALLY, when factoring in the population of the modding discord and this discord, my rough estimate can at least hold water.

select both meshes and Ctrl J to join it. weight weapon 100% to hand bone.

its more of a "it depends" what does he want to do with the weapon? if its just there and no anims or constraints then yes, use blender to 100% weight paint it to the wrist. but if he wants to move the weapon and use constraints, then he should only use unity to add it

If that's the case he should still join it in blender except add it as a new bone on the same armature, so it can be moved around via animation files.

Doing any sort of model editing in unity is generally non-ideal

I'm sure there are some exceptions, can't think of any off the top of my head.

You must obtain at least "New User" Trust Rank in our Trust and Safety system in order to upload content. You can get this by just spending a few hours in VRChat, hop some worlds, and make some friends. Give it some time and you'll be able to upload content in no time.

As an aside, you must have a VRChat account to upload content. That means you can't use a Steam account, Oculus account, or Viveport account to upload content like worlds or avatars.
