Benrock is actually really well done! it fixes a ton of performance issues that will probably never be fixed in JAVA edition. you can pretty much keep a solid 60+ fps on 90 view distance in bedrock because they split the simulation/terrain view distance in bedrock.

mods actually are an option! you can still get any mods for free just like java. not only that but the mods are also cross platform. if the game worked well on switch, you could log into the server that was setup by a PC, with mods, and it will auto download the custom mods onto the switch to use! of course you need to be careful what mods you use doing this because of performance issues
