the scaling might also be off, the vrc_ui shape component automatically adds a collider to detect ray cast, but the size of the collider might be off if you didnt set up your ui properly, you can override it by adding your own box collider set as trigger to the canvas.

a few tips:
-if you use Udon for your worlds, get Udon# to have a better image of what you are coding
-bake your lights, this will drastically improve your performance
-dont use blocks for basic layout and stuff of rooms. try learning blender for modelling (or Sketchup if blender is too hard)
-please dont stretch textures, this never looks good (ive seen that way too many times already, it never looks good)
-optimize your world even more. joining close meshes, atlasing textures, reduce resolution of textures to a decent size, occlusion culling all help a lot with performance and filesize

another thing i forgot: dont make your models too high poly, this can cause extreme lags when close to them

you can make in any poly amount you want, it just affects performance. lower poly worlds are always better for performance than highly realistic worlds
there is a reason most quest worlds look like something from an old nintendo game
(not saying that low poly looks always bad)

depends on how you optimize it. polys are not the only reason for bad performing worlds. there are a lot of realistic and high quality worlds out there which run pretty well

is there any way to force the menu to open when your character is moving? Sometimes there are forced special effects or when I happen to be falling for a really long time in a world with nothing I can do about it aside from waiting or exiting the game. I'm also concerned this is something that could be exploited but mostly just very annoyed by it. Might be a long shot but thought I might as well ask.

- vrc doesnt have a detection system afaik.
- for you to be banned for modified client it means one of few things:
- either the client shits a gazzilion api calls which would not ve possible on fresh vrc
- you got recorded and reported using client features ie speed manipulation/movement manipulation in approved public worlds, copying privated avatars etc.
- someone found img/ vid footage from ur pov (twitch/yt/anything) displaying modded client menu.

around 3 weeks ago the first world i worked on went live, and i am kinda happy that people like it, however there are quite a few problems still in the world

My avatars for example. They're optimized so most stuff is pretty low. 300 always on particles and one of the recent Poiyomi pro shaders. Less than 20 materials and everything either excellent to medium. People say my avatars don't take noticeable amounts of performance (just a bit if both in mirror and without visible at the same time as i heard). Can't do much more without ruining how i want to look to others.

you look at videos on youtube some people have millions of likes and some people have millions of dislikes but they dont let it stop them from doing what they love :3 they know they can always make another thing and keep going if they make a mistake then they make a mistake sometimes you just have to shrug it off but i get what your saying ... it does feel good to make everything perfect :3
